Hi girls! I want to buy my first bread maker. Reading the reviews I looked closely at Panasonic SD-ZB2502 and Panasonic SD-2510, the difference in price for our money is 10,000 which is better to choose according to your personal experience

Candy
sazalexter, I already started to panic that I wrote in the wrong place))) But I am confused by the plastic case of the Panasonic SD-2510, which may turn yellow with prolonged use or it is not so
Bridge
Candy, I have not turned yellow in three years.
sazalexter
Candy, Turns yellow (stained) and stainless steel. But this does not affect anything, it can only affect the aesthetic perception.

I have a 257 model, in 5 years it has not turned yellow, the plastic, I think, is of the same quality.
Wit
The plastic may turn slightly yellow at the vent on the lid. The size of the stain is about 1x3 cm. Just for the sake of interest, I took a sponge for washing dishes and rubbed the stain with the rough side. Almost the stain was rubbed off and became barely noticeable. It was too lazy to rub further, and even more so to photograph. The hull has also been shining white for several years.
The difference in price of 10,000 is impressive, however! I wouldn't even think about it.

I recently had an SD-2510, so I can't say anything about "turning yellow", but I chose the stove in the store (I had the opportunity to compare / touch) and liked the metal version less: the "insides", as far as I understand, are the same, the metal does not look outside "eternally unkillable", which would justify such a difference in price, "flickers" are clearly visible, and the risk of getting burned on the body during baking is theoretically higher. This is, of course, a purely personal and subjective opinion, but in my opinion the metal case of Panasonic is not so much for increasing reliability and durability, but for aesthetics, in order to visually harmonize with chrome legs and a silver refrigerator)

And this opinion is correct!
Candy
Wow how many responded Thank you !!! I hope the case due to heating, if it does not turn yellow, then it will not crack either
vlauga
Well, metal looks very stylish in the kitchen, especially if the rest of the appliances are in it. It looks certainly not "cheap" and very "professional". But we have problems with flour. I don’t know how in Kazakhstan - there used to be grown only durum wheat, in the regions of Altai and Tselinograd.
Candy
vlauga, We have flour when and how to get it, there are just super-awesome biscuits and baursaks, or only pancakes made of them bake such a slurry of nemesi

The outside metal case does not heat up at all!

Not that I would like to dispute this, just very curious - the case is cold even when baking ??? Of course the stove is not a kettle, but my plastic still heats up to "noticeably warm". What's so interesting about the metal model for thermal insulation?

With all due respect to you, I dare to note that stainless steel is painted. And it can be returned to its original state. White plastic - turns yellow over time. This is due to a change in the chemical composition. I have never seen lively, whitewashed and suddenly lost its fragility plastic.
Dec, Lucent, IBM, HP, etc. passed before my eyes. The plastic usually did not crack, but the white plastic always turned yellow.
And it wasn't plastic for bread makers.
Candy
format_ct, you are talking about system blocks
sazalexter
format_ct, ABS plastic practically does not turn yellow
format_ct
Not only. Bigger servers, telephones, etc.
The point is that obviously better and more expensive plastic is used there than for kitchen appliances, and the result is the same.
fffuntic
I, too, have been white for two years and the color of the plastic has not changed. But my problem is that the increased dust formation in the apartment, next to the highway passes, probably the reason is this. Therefore, I often wipe the dust off with a cloth. It wipes perfectly, no stains or marks.

I want to bake pumpkin bread, I watched the recipes, I can’t find a simple one and in what mode to bake
anatolic
Candy, I bake pumpkin bread in the main mode. It turns out to be a beautiful yellow color. Lush and tall, sometimes rests against the lid of the bread machine. If you need a recipe, I'll post it. Only the author, unfortunately, no longer remember.
Candy
anatolicplease post the recipe
anatolic
Candy, Yes please! It's not a pity, the recipe is not mine.
Pumpkin puree.
3 tbsp butter l.
Salt 1.5 tsp
Sugar 1 tbsp. l.
Flour / s 550 g.
Yeast 1.5 tsp (11 years old)
Take the pumpkin, cut into slices and cook until soft. When curdled, drain through a colander (do not pour out water).
Grind in a blender or otherwise. Place all ingredients in a bucket. In a separate bowl, mix a glass of puree from a bread machine and 150 ml. broth and also in a bucket.
Mode - "Basic". Crust - "Medium"
I don’t follow the kolobok, everything turns out fine anyway.
Happy bread to you.
Candy
anatolicThank you! and pumpkin (mashed potatoes) how much in grams

My discoveries when using a bread machine. Yesterday I baked two loaves of 1st grade flour, I thought that it would not rise, but no, it turned out to be a real homemade bread. It turns out not as airy as from premium flour, but also not very dense, which made my household very happy. But I think everyone here knows about it
Waist
Candy, It's great that I liked this bread, this is bread, not a bun
More from premium flour bun turns out.

Kymbat, You will excuse me, but after purchasing HP you write in the wrong topic. Move to another, for example here This topic is for those who cannot decide on the choice of a bread machine, and when the choice is made, it is better to communicate with the owners of the same oven in other topics.

Good day to all!
I read the whole topic, but did not find the answer to the question that interests me, so I will ask it myself.
I want to buy a bread maker soon, but I'm careful.
Very worried about how Panasonic cope with tight dumplings? Here is very tight, according to the recipe for 200 grams of flour, one yolk and a third of a glass of water. When you knead a large batch (of 1.5 kg of flour), it feels like I went to the rocking chair. I want to get rid of these torments, but without changing the recipe, because it is more than satisfactory for everyone, and to change something in the recipe - go and understand later what went wrong and why. I have a cautious relationship with the dough: I learned the recipe - I adhere to infinity.I don't want to buy a separate kneader, because the plans include the development of all kinds of homemade bread, but there are some problems with the oven. But at the moment, the most acute issue is kneading dumplings.
Of the Panasonic available in my region, there is only SD-2510WTS. Will she do it?
Ekaterina2
CherryPie, I have 2501. The recipe for 450 grams of flour contains 1 egg and 210 ml of flour. I don't know, but are there bread makers for 1.5 kg of flour? If only in 3 steps to do ...
AnastasiaK
CherryPie, any bread maker, including Panasonic, it is better not to force a tight dough. Can not stand it, but the equipment is expensive. If the question is fundamentally - it is the kneading of the steep dumpling dough, a blender with a large bowl and a knife copes with this much better and without problems. Any steepness and excellent dough is obtained in a minute.
P.S. I just made the noodle dough at the rate of 200 g flour, 1 egg, 5 tbsp. l. water - the coolest dough turned out in a small blender.
CherryPie
AnastasiaK, thanks for the answer! Can I find out the model of your blender?
AnastasiaK
Kira, I have Vitek 1480, but a small Bosch is also in use, it fits perfectly for small portions (I did it today).
Here is a recipe and discussion for kneading the dough.

AnastasiaK, Thank you!

Kira, many in KhP knead a less tight dough (not for the entire portion of flour), and then stir the rest with their hands. This is an option.
CherryPie
Ekaterina2, thanks for the information! I don’t think it’s possible to crank up such an amount of flour, but I’ll be satisfied with making small portions)

Anchic, also an option, thanks!

There is a desire to replace store-bought bread with the purchase of a bread machine.

Supposed (at the moment) versions of breads are usual with sourdough, well, maybe, less often - ordinary yeast. Making pies with filling is also possible. Maybe, of course, something else - but this will already be seen along the way.

HP should give a good - tasty and beautiful - result)) The task of excessive savings, as well as a senseless waste of extra money when buying a device, is not worth it))

I would like to simplify and automate the daily process as much as possible: I put in the ingredients - after a while I pulled out the finished product. Without involving additional manually set stages in the HP itself or the need to improve the result of using the oven.

In other words, we need HP that allows you to get delicious bread every day with a minimum of labor costs.

After getting acquainted with the Internet, questions arose.

1. Does it make sense to look at other brands or stop because of the greatest problem-free on Panasonic?

2. Is the absence of user modes in Panasonic (setting temperature, time, sequence of actions) critical for the needs described above? When would you need custom modes?

3. On the one hand, it is noted that Panasonic give almost the best bread baking, on the other hand, there are often statements that CP is used only for kneading, and baked in the oven? Is this true, in particular, for Panasonic and why? I would not like to buy a unit in order to then use exactly half of the paid functions, without actually baking.))

4. Is it possible to bake rye bread in models without a special paddle (2500 and 2510) and, if possible, is it inferior to bread baked in models with such a special paddle (2501 and 2511)?

5. Does the models with the yeast dispenser produce better bread than the models without this dispenser? Does this dispenser make sense?

6. In models 2511 and 2512 there is a mode for low-yeast bread. Are we talking about sourdough bread ("eternal" leaven)?

7. In what modes is leavened bread baked in other (not 2511 and 2512) Panasonic models? Is it baked in one mode or is it necessary to combine the existing ones?

Kara
rs, I will answer the points:

1. do not look at other brands, I am telling you as the owner of HP of three different manufacturers. Panasonic has no equal!
2. not critical. All automatic programs are perfectly balanced and well thought out.
3. You can, and probably want to bake bread in the oven someday.Well, at least 90% of members of the forum, starting with HP, then bake in the oven. But this does not negate the bread maker with all the basic functions. You will still have a stove in it, even if there is no time for the oven.
4. I cannot say about all the listed models, in my ZB2502 I did not notice the difference in the finished product when mixing with different blades.
5. Many people put yeast directly into the bucket even if they have a dispenser. For me, the dispenser is very convenient for baking with a delayed start.
rs
3. So in the oven, is it still better? Tastier, prettier? Why is it still baked in the oven?)
Wit
Item 4 - it is possible, it is in no way inferior. Moreover, according to the reviews of the owners of these "combs", they stopped using them, since the teeth bend quickly.
Item 5 - I can do just fine without dispensers. Even with a delayed start. I put the yeast on the bottom. Then flour - liquid with salt and sugar - sunflower oil.
Good luck to you!
Creamy
rs, the oven is the next stage of mastery, a higher stage, when the master bakes baguettes, ciabatta and many other delights in the oven. But at the same time, the dough is often kneaded with a bread maker. Often with kneading and the first proofing is also done in a bread maker.

I have not heard of such a massive transition from HP to the oven. Rather the opposite is true when it comes to bread. Maybe 10% and goes back to the oven, but 90!? ... I bake at night and don't complain. And run to the oven - is it burnt?, Has it risen? Are you ready?
In HP, when ready, it will turn itself off. In the morning I take out hot or warm bread.

And if not yeast, but all sorts of raisins, nuts - also without problems add to bread in machines without a dispenser? Just put it in with all the ingredients and that's it? ))

Then, in fact, the question is - why do they make a dispenser? What do we get this if we have it? )

yes, I put it down on a signal, not immediately, so that the dough rises better without additives.
But I use this function once a year when I bake cakes.
