I also had an experiment with leftovers from spicy plum jam. I rolled the jam into jars, and 150 ml of cinnamon and cardamom syrup remained. So the syrup smelled, it was a pity to pour it out. Added 3 tbsp. l. sugar, turned into caramel, poured into the bottom of the mold, a little butter, apples, a little sugar on top. I baked it, then the dough according to the recipe. The caramel is absorbed into the apples, giving them a spicy plum-cinnamon-cardamom aroma and a dark amber color. The husband is generally in mortality. Yes, and I too - it takes a lot of apples! In previous years, they rushed about, did not know what to do, but how they moved - they were left without a summer residence - so I found such an incredible recipe! Ehehe, well, maybe where else we will get some non-store apples :).

And one more experiment. They made the cake according to all the rules with Antonovka.Delicious! But SO sour. This is Antonovka this year! In general, we love sour, but we did not expect such a concentration, so we had to eat the cake with my baked banana ice cream with cream. Everything went off with a bang.
