Ingredients

flour (wheat, premium) 500 g
pumpkin puree 250 ml
sugar (from the sweetness of pumpkin) 0.5-1 glass
eggs 2 pcs
milk 130 ml
butter 100 g
salt 1 tsp
dry yeast 9 g
raisins, dried apricots 0.5 cups each
nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla by a pinch
orange zest optional
glaze
powdered sugar 100 g
lemon juice 2-3 st. l.

Cooking method

  • I found another recipe in the clippings, written on a piece of paper, and since there are still a lot of pumpkins, I decided to bake such a pumpkin grandma, the grandma tasted no worse than Easter cake).
  • Steam the raisins and dried apricots, finely chop the dried apricots.
  • Pour warm milk into a bowl, dilute yeast in it, put pumpkin puree, eggs, add a glass of sifted flour and, stirring, put in a warm place to rise. Pour the rest of the flour into the risen dough, put melted butter, sugar, spices, zest, salt, dried fruits - knead and put for a secondary rise. When the dough rises well 2-2.5 times, put it in a greased mold and put in a preheated oven (up to 180 g.), For about 1 hour, bake until dry. The finished pumpkin seed should be bright saffron color with a pleasant smell and good taste.
  • I made the dough in HP, kneaded the dough in the main mode, then I just turned off the oven, then I added all the other products and put on the "dough" mode, added raisins, dried apricots and zest 3 minutes before the end of the batch.
  • For glaze: dilute the icing sugar with lemon juice and soak the grandmother while still warm.
