Girls, I'm new here. Today I bought this miracle of technology.
Tell me, how do you cook beets ?? I put it on steam, pressure 2 for 15 minutes is not enough. Then two more times for 15 minutes at a pressure of 3 - it's still not enough ... Another 10 minutes at a pressure of 2. It seems to have been cooked - but somehow it crunches .... Is it supposed to cook for more than an hour? Or am I somehow cooking it wrong?
Slavutchanka
inka_kotand the pressure valve is closed? I cook beets for 20 minutes
CurlySue
inka_kot, welcome to our Temka and congratulations on your purchase!
If the beets are large (I have one), then I cut them into 4 parts.
Did you put it on a stand, cook it steamed, or in water?
If in water, then yes, it takes a long time to cook.
For a couple, the "steaming" mode is enough for me for 40-50 minutes.
But even so, it crunches slightly.
If I were you, I would put it at once for an hour if you like soft.

Inessa, welcome to the polaris users club!
I steam beets and other vegetables. How - described in detail in this recipe:

inka_kot
Lena, thank you very much! I'm going to read!
Girls, thank you all! I cooked it like this: I put the mode on steam (a glass of water down, a beet on the grate) - pressure 2 - I turned the valve to the "pressure" position - after about five minutes it hissed from the lock and the lock closed. The countdown has begun. After I finished cooking, I carefully moved the valve with a spoon and the steam came out. The last time I didn’t touch it, she lost steam herself. Well, in general, it took me about an hour for the bead. And all the same, it's kind of like boiled, but some not that ... I like it straight to be soft-soft ..
Maybe I have a beet like this? The only thing is that I cleaned it right away and cut it. That is, cooked peeled.
Tomorrow I will cook buckwheat according to your recipes. ) I'll come and report. ))
Shelena
Inessa, beets, indeed, sometimes come across oak. But try to put 27-30 minutes at a pressure of 3, and after cooking, pour cold water for 15 minutes (cover the bowl or saucepan with a lid). This helps the beets to reach.
Tasty buckwheat tomorrow!
inka_kot
Well, that's it, it's too late .. I took her to the balcony to cool down. Next time I'll try to cook it the way you wrote it.
Shelena
The second time will definitely be better.

Hello!
Baked pita bread this morning. Here somewhere I read the recipe ... I took 2 multi-glasses of water and 4.5 multi-glasses of flour. And yeast 1 tsp. from a Panasonic bread machine. Something not a fountain, it turned out for me .. Something not baked or something .. Or maybe I got it wrong with the ingredients, because it turned out to be heavy ... I also greased the saucepan with margarine - I was afraid that it would stick. Maybe it was not necessary ?? My husband didn't like it, but we ate it all in 1 sitting.
3 cm high.

I even started to regret the purchase and slipped through the idea of giving this gravitsapa to my husband at the dacha.

Then, as planned, I made buckwheat. I fried the mushrooms, added the onion, then added the chicken. In the frying mode, it turned out for 13-15 minutes at a pressure of 3. Then I added buckwheat, salt and poured boiling water over it. Put the buckwheat mode, pressure 3 - 9 minutes.
I left it on heating for another 5 minutes and just under the lid for 5 minutes (I read it in Lena-Shelena's recipe).
I thought I would cook on the stove later. And I was already preparing a backup lunch.
Opened - and there is amazing buckwheat ... mmm .. and the meat is just super, already melts in your mouth! * send a saucepan to the country abruptly changed her mind *

Tomorrow I’ll cook soup!

By the way, yesterday's painful beetroot turned out to be very tasty. When he cooled down on the balcony, he became soft. Maybe I shouldn't have tortured him so much? Maybe you just had to put it to reach and that's it?
Slavutchanka
inka_kot, everything will work out over time. And in the country, cartoon is irreplaceable. At first I carried mine here and there. And then she spat and bought more. And then another ... Now I have cartoon and SV at home and at the dacha of cartoon and SV
Shelena
inka_kot, pita bread looks pretty. Maybe you shouldn't criticize him?
Fluffy buckwheat turned out. The additives to it were fried only for SO long. I only bring it to a golden crust, a maximum of 5 minutes.
Inessa, in a week, I'm sure you won't even remember that you wanted to send the pressure cooker into exile.
inka_kot
And I brought it to a golden brown and that's it. But in time it turned out like this - I specially detected it. Maybe because I added the chicken ... I don’t know. And the bulb was big. But 5 minutes after frying it was obviously quite damp. Ah ..., I started frying as soon as the oil warmed up and not when Polya said she was ready.

Lavash is definitely not what it should have been. Even though we ate it. Next time I'll experiment with proportions, try to beat him.

Can you link to the lavash recipe?
Well, I don’t think that you will get it “as it should” - in a pressure cooker.
Because in real Georgian lavash, the cooking technology there is completely different.

I took 2 tbsp. water and 4.5 tbsp. flour. Yeast - 1 tsp from Panasonic HP. I kneaded the dough, an hour later, and set it in a cartoon for Warming up for 5 minutes Disconnected and he also stood for 30-40 minutes with the lid closed. Then the baking mode for 30 minutes. Turned over and baked goods again for 30 minutes. Pressure 2.
One of these days I'll try again, change the proportions a little, then I'll report back.

Today I made an omelet on a manual mode. Such yummy .... I didn't even have time to photograph. I already fell in love with the saucepan.
Until the day before yesterday I chose Moulinex. It cost us $ 112. But in a day it rose to 192 dollars! I was shocked. I stumbled upon this topic and without hesitation bought Polya for $ 56. VERY SATISFIED! Thanks to everyone who writes reviews here.
And I still have to try to make soup today. ))

No matter how the author calls it, this is still not pita bread, but just an unsweetened loaf of yeast dough, or a pizza base (I use a similar recipe for a pizza dough base).

Good luck with the soup.
MarinaRas
Girls, hasn't any of you tried to bake cakes in MC?
Shelena
Marina, I bake in a slow cooker. The principle of cooking in SV will be the same. If interested, here's the link:

Inessa, So you have begun a period of love for the appliance, when you want to cook and try more and more new dishes. Happy creations! Happy for you!
Tellina
Good day to everyone)) Prompt on what mode you can cook an omelet)))
inka_kot
Tellina, today I did it in manual mode for 8 minutes + 3-5 minutes, I left it on heating. The omelet is just gorgeous.

CurlySue, I also do the same, but I only add vegetable oil and knead in HP. But this one tasted exactly like lavash, only a little uncooked. I will try again next time in HP to knead it.

FSE! Girls, I'm in love with this wonderful saucepan! And so is my husband.
From yesterday's buckwheat with chicken, bones remained from the legs with the upper meat part and fat, where the ridge is. I put two such bones in the soup - and the saucepan boiled them down as if I had put 3 kg of meat there.
The soup is very tasty !!! Just incredibly delicious! I have no words ... And my husband is absolutely delighted.

Fried mushrooms, carrots and onions for about 10 minutes. Then I put in chicken, potatoes, salt and pepper, and added bay leaves. Poured boiling water and on the soup mode - 15 minutes-pressure 3. Bleed off the steam, added 1 multi-glass of spider web vermicelli and just closed the lid. After 10 minutes, we were already eating soup.
Shelena
Inessa, beautiful soup turned out, rich! Thanks for your recipe.

Yes, I noticed the peculiarity of the pressure cooker - it boils chicken meat very cool, it doesn't do a cartoon, I constantly cook homemade chicken for soup. Now only in the pressure cooker - there the super-rich broth comes out!

I would make a roast like this: I would lay out the layers of meat, potatoes, carrots ... etc. I would add salt, seasonings, add a little water and add a little water to the soup mode for about 30 minutes.

Girls, and then Ostap suffered ... I can't stop ...

All! The person is missing !!! Contaminated with pressure cooking.
Inessa, in this thread there are many of us, such "infected". I understand you perfectly. I still adore this device and cook most of the dishes in it.
The cake was a success.
You know, I have the following thought about your lavash. You turned it over early. The dough did not have time to bake and settled. With a new experiment, try to bake until cooked on one side and only then turn for 10-15 minutes on the other side.
lesua
Inessa, where can I look at the recipe for a pie with sardine, please kick
inka_kot
The recipe is as follows:
Dough: 1 glass of mayonnaise, whisked with 4 eggs in a blender. Added 1 tsp. slaked soda vinegar, 0.5 tsp. salt and 5 tablespoons of flour (I have small spoons, you look at your dough - it should be a little thicker than pancakes. It's thin). Again knocked down well with a whisk.
Filling:
Chopped 1 can of sardine in a plate.
I boiled rice until half cooked (0.5 multi-glasses of rice + 0.5 multi-glasses of water for rice mode for 5 minutes. Our default is 8 minutes, I forcibly pressed cancel). Then I overcooked 1 onion in a saucepan, added the onion to the rice and sent it all to the sardine. Mixed well.

I poured 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil into a saucepan, greased the sides well. I poured more than half of the dough into it. I laid out the filling on the dough, leveled it and filled it with the rest of the dough. Gently flattened the top.
Baking mode, pressure 2, 1 hour. Then she took it out, turned it over and again the baking mode, pressure 2, 30 minutes. All.

Girls, someone made soup from dried porcini mushrooms in a pressure cooker ??? How much should I put them on? Will 15 minutes be enough?
Shelena
Inessa, if the mushrooms are well restored (soaked overnight), then 20 minutes, I think, will be enough.
In general, it is believed that the longer you cook forest mushrooms, the more useful they become, and they are also easier to digest. Therefore, it is not scary to overexpose.
I cooked a soup of frozen whites with mushrooms. Here's a recipe for orientation:
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=372525.0
Here's a recipe from Admin for Dried Mushroom Soup at SV Oursson:
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=309180.0
(Pressure 3 in SV Oursson is about the same as in ours - 2)
inka_kot
Lena, thanks! I always soak mushrooms overnight. I'll try one of these days.

Yesterday I decided to put an omelet on the timer for the morning. The timer does not work in manual mode, of course, I decided to put it on baking for 20 minutes. But the timer doesn't work on baked goods either! Although the instructions say what should work. Does everyone have it ???
As a result, I put the omelet on the Kasha mode, pressure for 2-5 minutes. And while we got up for about 5 minutes, he remained on the heating. It turned out to be a good omelet. )

And another question, how does the timer work? If I put on 8 o'clock, does it just turn on after 8 hours, or is the food ready after 8 hours? I set it to 8 hours, but it only turned on after 8 hours and 5 minutes. So it is not clear that it took a long time to warm up, since the HP also worked.

Thank you, I already thought of some kind of marriage ...
EKATERINA G, I would put on baking for 40 minutes and a pressure of 2. She bakes so well at a pressure of 2. Only I would make the top layer of the dough, and if something happens, I would turn it over and bake it again for 20 minutes.

I would not, as Inessa advises, put the dough on top: I would do everything according to the recipe. I would have baked for at least 50 minutes. I would look after and, if required, finish baking.
