I didn't want to make cornbread today, but in order to save everyone from unnecessary questions, I baked it.
Here he is, yeast-free cornbread... Note, baked in a bread maker:

Very tasty. Recommend.

Thank you so much for the recipe! I baked today, and ... an extraordinary smell, and then taste.
I did it with butter. Your bread will now be our frequent guest!

Vysotskaya had a similar bread, only she added green onions and chili and a proportion of flour 50 to 50

It is a pity that I do not know this recipe, but probably there is less sugar. That cornmeal is combined with green onions is for sure! I make scrambled eggs with cornmeal with kefir. For one egg, a spoonful of flour and about 150 grams of kefir, well, salt, and in a frying pan with heated oil. And at the end, green onions. other greens are also possible. True, this recipe is not for everyone, not all my friends like it.

Corn from Vysotskaya

Products: 240 g corn flour, 240 g wheat flour, 120 ml milk, 90 g butter, 1 egg, 120 g yogurt, a bag of baking powder, a pinch of salt, green chili, green onions (3-4 feathers).
Stir two types of flour, add baking powder. Chop the onion and chilli finely and mix with the flour. Melt the butter in the milk. Beat the egg with yogurt and salt, stir in milk and butter. Combine all ingredients and knead the dough.
Grease a detachable baking dish with butter. Put the dough into a mold, spreading evenly over the entire surface. In an oven preheated to 180 C, bake bread for 25-30 minutes.

Hello everyone!
A question for filling can be?
Where can you buy corn flour?
and then I tried cornbread, though purchased in AUCHAN and Mosmart, I really liked it, it will probably be even tastier in a bread maker.
Mams
maya125 in Bakhetle - French Agnes - polenta, in Indian spices - English flour.
KatyaT
And I usually buy at the bazaar. Where they sell by weight different flour, cereals, pasta.

In Moscow I saw cornmeal in Ashan and in the hypermarket "Your House".

Where can you buy corn flour?

I bought corn flour at the wholesale and retail food market near the Prazhskaya metro station in a tent with spices and dietary products. It is sold in cardboard boxes. Manufacturer "Large".
When the flour ran out, I bought baby dairy-free corn porridge "Baby". Ingredients: corn flour, maltose, vitamins. Behaves great in baking. The box costs about 40 rubles. Sold in any baby food department. And by the way! I liked flour-baby food more! Corn flour is stored very little - 2-3 months, and then becomes rancid. I don't bake cornbread very often and I had to feed some of the "Large" to the birds. There is less baby food in the box, packed in foil, there is a hope that the birds will not get anything

Polenta Corn Yeast Bread

But in the markets in Moscow, I would not buy flour (this is exclusively my opinion). Where they bring it from, where it is stored and how long it is with them - only the sellers themselves know. Counterfeits are also mainly in the markets. (4th mill - a package in a "box" - in bulk) ...

Good idea for baby food and the price is not terrible and the quantities are small.

And tell me, please, can you replace the baking powder with soda and vinegar?
Cubic
in other baked goods you can, I think that here too

I share. The bread turned out. I liked it, my husband said that sugar should be added so that it would be sweet or better if I baked the charlotte at all, and the father-in-law, which is specific, the mother-in-law took a bite once and put the piece back in place ..
They don't like my bread. I can't do anything .. They buy everything from the store and eat it with loaves and loaves ... And mine, without yeast, are healthy, they don't want to eat .. Even black I get practically one-on-one with the store, only the crust is very stale and thick, and still do not eat
Here everyone shares, tells how great the bread is, that everyone sweeps it away at once .. But I don't have it ..

To understand why the mother-in-law loves store-bought bread more, read Section Bread is the head of everything, the topic Why store-bought bread is tastier, and let her read it.
The older generation is accustomed to such bread - they cannot be fixed.
My grandmother is exactly the same, why take offense at her - and when you try to explain about such bread - she says, "lies." Well, let him believe, she is many years old.

For the rest, read the forum, our best practices, tips and learn how to bake good bread - so that the mother-in-law will give up. It takes patience and desire.

Good luck!

After all, my relatives have tasted corn bread. This weekend I baked twice, everyone dared. I added one teaspoon instead of baking powder. soda extinguished 1 tbsp. l. vinegar and sugar three tbsp. l. under the knife. If you spread it with fresh butter, mmmmm ... it's just delicious and so delicious, it looks like a cake. Thank you very much again.

I didn’t find cornmeal, but I bought cornmeal and ground it in a coffee grinder. I baked bread with the addition of corn flour (4 tablespoons) and everything worked out well. I'm a newbie, and did it wrong?
zalina74
I baked such bread in a slow cooker. Tasty, fluffy, only next time I will reduce the amount of baking powder (felt). Really looks like a cupcake. The children ate it with jam.

Baked in HP, but I want a trace. once done in the cartoon. zalina74, and you made the usual portion in the multicooker? Or enlarged? In a bread maker, it turns out to be small. It seems that the cartoon will spread like a pancake. And how long did they bake? the same 45 minutes?

I did it in the same proportions, in the same time.

Please specify the amount of flour in grams. A glass of 150 g flour?
leonya
And where else can you get hold of recipes? I need bread that is yeast-free and free of ingredients that can ferment. That is, rye flour is not suitable. Doing corn all the time will get bored very quickly. Unfortunately, these are not whims, but the need for such nutrition.

I wanted to bake this recipe in HP, but the beginner has a lot of questions:
Should you mix the ingredients separately from the HP?
And where to knead the dough itself, in HP or also with your hands?
What consistency should the dough be?
Should he get up?
Hope for help)
Admin
Once again, we read the content of the recipe in the first post:
- mix separately
- 4. Pour the mixture into a mold and bake for about 45 minutes in the "bake" mode

There is more corn flour in the dough than wheat flour. This bread will not be high! There will be no kolobok either.
There will be no proofing of the dough, since the dough is on baking powder.

Thank you Admin!

The recipe indicates flour in glasses, and which glasses are meant, who successfully baked?! Or what consistency will the dough be?

Added Monday 23 May 2016 00:36

probably found this recipe, but on another resource, maybe someone will need:
Corn flour - 200 grams;
Wheat flour - 100 grams;
Baking powder - 15 grams;
Butter - 60 grams;
Sugar - 40 grams;
Eggs -2;
Milk - 250 ml.

probably found this recipe,

Did you bake bread yourself according to this recipe?
Something too much liquid turns out for 300 grams of flour Recipes need to be laid out after a control check, baking it yourself, so that everything works out and high-quality bread turns out and it is desirable to attach a photo
listika
Admin, no, I didn't bake, I'm going to follow the recipe for the first of this topic, that's why I ask such questions (about the consistency of the dough and the amount of flour, but there are no answers yet), I don't want to cook for a waste, I have almost no experience of my own.

It was not my recipe that I posted, but it seemed to me the same recipe as in the original one, only here with the indication of the weight of flour, and not in incomprehensible glasses
