I am here, at work, from nothing to do, I thought about the ideal yogurt maker. I want that:
shape: square or rectangular.
colors: wide
functionality: built-in thermostat with the ability to set any temperature from 20 to 45 C with an accuracy of one degree. built-in thermometer for process control. countdown timer. by itself auto-off. after auto-shutdown, automatic turning on of the cold mode, so that the yogurt does not stop if you forget to pull it out. function of preheating milk to the desired temperature with a signal at the end. the ability to put both several small jars and one large container. several automatic programs for different temperatures.
that seems to be all) nothing supernatural, nothing that manufacturers could not do with current technologies) no bells and whistles are needed such as going online, baking pies, washing the floor and dishes, etc.)

how do you? maybe you would add something else to this?

Well, of course, then it will cost a lot and will be poorly bought by ordinary consumers, who, unlike us, do not know that everything except this one overheats to a greater or lesser extent, that different yoghurt products need their own temperature. And of course, they will not choose this fancy one, well, except that the money has nowhere to go. And here we almost all have already adapted to our own, have acquired many thermostats and while it fury, we will hardly buy a new one either, so such a business with this wonderful yogurt maker will burn out from the manufacturer.
But, aside from the marketing policy and just dream ... There is a Panasonic 2502 among the bread makers, and so, it has two dispensers (such compartments), one for dry yeast, and the other for additives (raisins, nuts, etc.) And at the right time according to the program, they open and throw what they put into the kneading dough. So, it would be nice to also integrate such dispensers into our yoghurt maker, in the first - by narrowing the starter culture, in the second - yogurt, which we use for re-fermentation, and in the third, additives in the form of fruits, honey, berries and other things with the ability to program when these additives should go to yogurt - before fermentation or ready-made. Well, if it's ready, then so that it mixes there (I don't know only when to add them - immediately or after cooling). Well, these are the thoughts. We need all this that we come up with, generalize and send out to yogurt makers.
Lilyanna
yes, a great idea with additives)) only probably in the end it is better, then you can add fresh fruits, and if at first, then only boiled ones. and what about the price, tefal is buying expensive, right? and she does not possess even half of these advantages. and many people are concerned about healthy eating, but those who buy yogurt makers already think about it 100%, monitor this issue on the Internet, and then buy something, in the hope that they are lucky and it will not overheat))) as a rule in vain hope. well, again, there is no need to put on it a price tag comparable to the model of inexpensive Zhiguli))) 5-8 thousand will be fine, depending on the amount of the finished product, for example, 4 jars and 8.
Mona1
Well, I don’t know, it’s just historically proven that it’s most profitable to trade in matches, that is, cheap and massively.
Lilyanna
yes, here's another, I completely forgot, very important! the jars should either be screwed or close very well, my jars in redmond do not close well, because of this I do not take yogurt to work, for a snack, as I was going to do from the very beginning, because I am too lazy to transfer it to a normal bank, wash it later, etc.

nevertheless, they buy (and buy well) high-quality and expensive equipment, and Kirby vacuum cleaners, and kitchens. Kenwood machines, and kitchens. cars. kitschen air, and they take coffee machines for 50 thousand and for 100 thousand and nothing, they haven't gone broke yet))) I mean that anybody needs an alternative))) but that's it, dreams so far ...

Lilyanna, I completely agree with you about your wishes for the yogurt maker. (y) Could you please dig your message into Temka about the Brand 4001 Yogurt Maker https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=180408.0... They collect all the information and wishes of users there. Maybe they will release a high-quality and solid yogurt maker that we all dream of here.

Well, defky, you are dreaming. Yes, such a yogurt maker, which will switch from the "warm" mode to the "cool" mode on a timer, will cost like two super-refrigerators! An example is freezer ice cream makers for two and a half thousand hryvnia at least (so this is still without heating and a thermostat). At this price, you won't want that yogurt
Monich, you must be pralna. The yogurt maker should be as simple as family panties. No, I would, of course, not give up the built-in thermostat, but if it even doubles the price of the unit, I’ll think about it. And if more than doubles - nafik-nafik. I do well in the cartoon without any additional costs there, and in a simple Dexica

Tan, hello. By the way, I once studied a whole catalog of all yogurt makers when I was looking for if there was one with a built-in thermostat. So, I didn't find it, but I found one that cools yogurt and then works like a mini-refrigerator. Yes, I saw this, I even gave a link somewhere in the topic, but it was not with us, but on some Chinese site.

By the way, do not worry about the thermostat, the truncated is in force, I remember.

So in the cartoon it is necessary to do it differently, if the special. there is no regime. It is necessary to put on heating literally for 5-10 minutes, and even without jars, because it is difficult to catch the moment when the water in the saucepan is not higher or lower than the required temperature. Only then put the jars, turn off the cartoon and use it exclusively as a thermos.
And I have Yoghurt auto mode in my cartoon. And besides it there is also a manual setting of 40 *. I make yoghurts in a yoghurt maker (except that for confectionery needs you need a lot of yoghurt at once - then in a cartoon right in a saucepan). And I make fermented baked milk all the time in the cartoon: first I simmer the milk in it, then I cool the cans, add the starter culture (maternal or over-starter culture - no difference), and for a couple of hours Yogurt

Yes, it's very hot there for yogurt. I don't know how in Panasonic, but in Multa Dax, there is about 70 degrees on heating.

And I make yogurt all the time at Panasonic. It turns out great. True, I do it only on weekends, because I have to control the heating temperature. For this I use a simple glass thermometer for liquid. As soon as it warmed up to 40 degrees. - I turn it off, after 1.5 - 2 hours I control the temperature, if it drops below - I turn on the heating for 5 - 10 minutes (at this time I control the temperature). Then it's all over again.
A couple of times I forgot to turn off the heating in time, I forgot for 3 hours. As a result, I got the most delicate curd after decanting the liquid.

And at first I also tried it in the cartoon, but since there is no necessary mode, it certainly overheated. : cray: But I got out of the situation. I warm milk a little warmer than 36.6 * (I try it with my finger). Then I mix it with Activia and pour it into 4 jars. Then I heat up the water in the same way as milk, and add to the neck of the cans. I close it and leave it overnight, and in the morning I put the ready-made yogurt in the hol-ik. (y) I only put a cloth on the bottom of the bowl so as not to scratch it.
Lilyanna
just about, all the time some kind of shamanic dances with thermometers and thermostats, but I want to pour milk, pour in sourdough (or yogurt), turn on the button and get a normal, not overheated, not overexposed yogurt after a few hours) and so I adapted to my Redmond and I'm not complaining too much, although it does not overheat, I regularly measure the temperature of the finished yogurt, usually 36-38 (this is after turning off)

Girls, in Moscow ordered a thermostat on the site, it costs 800 rubles .. On the same site there are thermometers. It's great with a thermostat. Thanks to whoever came up with it. (y) Now that I have mastered the preparation of yogurt and sour cream, I want to try to bake some dessert. Advise something, please.
Mona1
On the previous page, I gave three links, read, there are many delicious yoghurts with additives. If you don't want yoghurts, you can make fermented baked milk. Buy baked milk and ferment. I fermented the Genesis bioreactor with sourdough, but you can just ferment with store sour cream (just not long-term storage) or your yogurt, but the milk must be baked. But also, depending on what you buy. I once did it on one, fermented VIVO with streptosan, but it turned out to be something bitter. Then I bought another melt, and fermented it with Genesis bioreactor, it turned out so tasty that I almost swallowed my tongue. Either the reason is in milk, or in the leaven. By the way, baked milk can be made in a slow cooker, if there is one.

I don’t know about other things that can be done, for now this agro-huge list of different yoghurts and fermented baked milk will be enough for a long time. Let someone else tell you.

Fruits and berries are recommended to be added to ready-made yogurt, and before cooking - or fruits or berries or dried fruits cooked in sugar syrup - raisins, dried apricots or prunes cut into pieces.
It is not advisable to eat yogurt immediately after cooking. It is recommended to chill it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
The yoghurt didn't work ...

I also got a yogurt maker. I decided that I will not play with thermos, thermometers and towels (there is neither time nor desire), but I will be happy to play with on / off. I ordered VINIS 1600. Of course I already tried it. Store milk (3.2%) pasteurized + "cereals" activations. I turned it on for 6 hours and went to bed. When she squeaked (not annoyingly, but persistently) she took out the jars, closed and put them in the refrigerator. What yummy it is !!!! : girl_skakalka: I want to try it with homemade milk, and baked milk, and cottage cheese .... (well, in general, more and more)

Yes, please, but maybe that's not the reason. Maybe just overheating or expired sourdough or milk pumped up, or overexposed. Each reason must be brushed aside in turn. I hope everything works out.

I always take UHT, and there were no problems more than once. and the manufacturer of the starter culture "own yogurt" also recommends ultra-pasteurized. just not a "funny milkman" about him bad reviews, antibiotics, they say, over-stuffed.

The milkman is generally UZHOOOS !!! All their products do not turn sour, but go rancid, and in a short time. And then they smell disgustingly with something unrelated to milk.

The starter culture should be free of additives, as they can negatively affect the growth of bacteria.
Made from melted fermented baked milk. From cream - sour cream, in general, the refrigerator can be filled with your own products.
And then you can make cottage cheese from ready-made yogurt, I somehow overheated in a double boiler, tried to make yogurt there, it turned out to be a soft cottage cheese.

Well, I "got down" to choosing a yogurt maker, but I was sure that I didn't need anything else ...
Hey everyone
the apparatus is needed to prepare drinking yoghurt for a one-year-old toddler and her husband. read the entire thread. there is an opportunity to get a Saturn ST-FP8511 model at a rather "tasty" price. need advice: will she suit me? Does it overheat much? is it possible to put one container inside and cook in it? Does this model have an auto power off? Will it work with the thermostat?
we now have a joint venture for vivo starter cultures. What kind of professionals do you advise to buy?
there are no more questions yet
first snow
again, I read that this model of yogurt maker has a digital shutdown timer. will it interfere with the thermostat? And if this model is not suitable, then what is more suitable for work in Russia? (interested in the round shape)
in general, I would love to buy dex 108, but in ukraine and there is no one to ask to buy and send
maybe there is a store that can send Dexica to Russia?

Yoghurt maker - thermos Hilton JM 3801 Green
It's hard to say anything to me personally. On the one hand, they cook yogurt in thermos successfully, but on the other, I have never cooked. If it has good thermal insulation, then it is quite possible that it will be fine.
But I’m already used to an ordinary yogurt maker, I have a thermostat - it seems to me that it’s more convenient. But if you Keti, if you want to try this thermos - why not?
irysska
By the way, I want to show, so to speak, the tuning of my Dex 108 yogurt maker. Now I can cook at least yogurt, even kefir, at least a mixture for cottage cheese in a volume of 2 liters. By the way, for a yogurt maker like kava , such an improvement will also work, because the VINIS 1600 is the twin brother of my Dex 108 in shape.

I have Brand 4001. Great yogurt maker! DOES NOT overheat, everything turns out perfect! I mean, it's tasty, and the consistency is smooth and homogeneous. I made Bifidum (Lactin), so even a spoon stood at 2.5% milk! In others, it didn't work out that way. And my daughter really fell in love with these jars to eat. She was ill, she was picky about food, and then she came up, points at the glass with her hand and said: "Drink, drink!" And there is also a 3.5-liter bowl. I made cottage cheese in it. Sumptuously! Then the bowl (and there is also a lid for it) into the refrigerator, as much as necessary, took as much, weighed the cottage cheese (also Laktinovsky). Fresh every day! I ate 100 g each, and earlier I would eat 1-2 tablespoons, and wave her hand: "No, no!" - and runs away. Super yogurt maker! Take it!

well, then it won't suit me. The lack of free space in the kitchen dictates stringent requirements when choosing equipment - it must be "multi-station".
one more question, will the ariete 85 have a relationship with the thermostat?

Anya, the thermostat will fit any yogurt maker that does not have an electronic timer (mechanical timer is questionable). That is, the best is a yoghurt maker with only a power button

just read that the ariete 85 can be underheating ... so what should you prefer then? Probably better the one that overheats and the thermostat to it? how difficult it is to choose the right model of yogurt maker in russia ...
but about binaton who can say something good?
irysska
First Snow, Anya
Ariet 85 will work with a thermostat, but it seems to me that a rectangular shape is not convenient - you can put any suitable container in a round one instead of glasses, but in a rectangular one it is problematic
And if it's not a secret why your yoghurt maker will be a "multi-pot" - do you mean cooking different types of sour milk (which have different cooking temperatures) or something else?
If you are aiming at a thermostat, then the Moulinex DJC 141 yoghurt maker is quite suitable for you - both spacious and high-quality, but without a thermostat it can overheat.
irysska
Anh, if you will definitely use a thermostat, then by and large it does not matter what kind of yogurt maker (most importantly, without a timer) - and you can also binaton, you just need to look at it yourself, feel it, like it or not. If you mean Binatone YM-70, then it is quite a normal yoghurt maker for a small price.

My husband made his own adjustments and said that where I wanted to attach the yoghurt maker, there would be problems with the outlet and I had to look for another place ... and the other place is the last pristine little island on the countertop, rectangular in shape, a round yoghurt maker will not fit in there Husband said that it was her own fault, it was not necessary to buy a pressure cooker, a slow cooker, a bread maker and so on, then there would be a place for a yogurt maker without any problems.
