And I'm afraid to turn on at the same time as the Summer Resident - we have 3 phases, 3 kW, but a lot of things are included. We'll have to take turns, 3 hours each.

Where did you look? From the manufacturer (Volzhsky) - 390 rubles per sieve - it's difficult to buy cheaper. Alas, they keep the price. Maybe they'll throw it off in winter ...
Alexandra
I mean Belomo, which are expensive. Yesterday I dried Antonovka - excellent. Today I took up a marshmallow from it, put one in the kit and built one out of paper. An hour later I looked - the flight was normal, then I made another one on paper. Of course, you need to buy basic pallets, although money will go away - at the price of one more dryer.

Try to count differently
The cost of pallets is a one-time operation, even if it is expensive.
The cost of what you dry is a lot, for a long time, for years, for the whole family and relatives. Spread out the cost of the pallets per kilogram of drying and all family members.
And compare with the cost of dried fruit in the store, which you would have to buy in the absence of a dryer.

Here, and the answer will be expensive or cheap
Alexandra
Yes, no cheaper than 390, and they also write what was made in China, maybe not plastic at all.

Admin, You are of course right, and the price for a sieve pallet is tolerable (although many shops have already raised it to 1000 before winter). But for such products as nets and for pastilles - the price is razvodilovskaya.

But the instructions do not say - when you turn it off - slowly translate to 0, stepwise? Or how? And turn it on - gradually?

When the temperature inside the dryer drops, I have clicking sounds, do you also? I lower it by 5 - 10 degrees.

And there is also Volters for 2300 and 2600 - and they also make marshmallows, the power is 450 watts.

When turning off: I immediately set the temperature controller to 0, after 10 minutes I turn off the toggle switch.
When turned on: first I turn on the toggle switch, then immediately set the desired temperature.

Voltaire has production only in Volzhsky - recently a new injection molding machine was launched for the production of sieves. I don’t think China reacted so quickly! The price of a pallet for a marshmallow is about ten - as it was, yes, not cheap, but I could not think of anything similar (in terms of functionality and quality of material) that could be built from materials at hand are cheaper. And I just bought 4 pallets ...

I turn off the dryer immediately after turning the thermostat to a minimum, it is quite safe, while the spiral instantly turns off and is almost instantly cooled by the blowing stream (you can make sure that the heating indicator is off - the second light). If you decrease the temperature gradually, then you hear the clicks of the thermostat, which is trying (has time) to adjust the new temperature value - it makes no sense.
The design, fortunately, is made so that the inertia of the operating fan is sufficient to cool the heater coil in the heating phase in the event of a sudden power outage. The fall of a foreign object into the "exhaust" channel will also not result in a breakdown, it will simply increase the consumed power due to a violation of recirculation. But the fan jamming due to something like threads or stalks of grass getting into the "exhaust" channel is very likely and very dangerous - at best, a thermal fuse will work, and at worst, a thermal switch, since the spiral will continue to cyclically heat up / cool down without blowing and will cause overheating and deformation of the top cover of the main unit, BUT NOT A FIRE. Therefore, the main unit in our dryer is the fan, and if any abnormal noise or vibration indicates wear and tear, the dryer cannot be used. Well, and not leave unattended - like any electrical appliance.
But in general, this version of the Volzhskaya dryer is the optimal solution both in technical terms and in terms of functionality and quality of the materials used.
Hope it lasts long enough to recoup its value.
Alexandra
Is there a danger of being left working overnight? I'm talking about the fire hazard. It is somehow uncomfortable that the luxury model - just stamps are standing, I think - what if this second fuse is not there, which probably adds safety.

Now they called me from Volgograd, where I wanted to order pallets at 390, and they say that in the luxury model the maximum temperature is 75 - and my dryer only has 70 ...

It can be compared with a Belarusian. dryer. Then the opinion about the price of pallets will change.
And there are also many dryers in which the addition of pallets is simply not provided for by the design, and nothing, people use, they are quite satisfied. That is, if it is expensive to buy pallets in addition, then it is quite possible to get by with those that come in the main set.
I am very happy with my Voltera (T-T-T, so as not to jinx it), I dried a little pears, peaches, nectarines, bananas for a test, well, and the harvest of my plums was mostly dried. And, I also dried some tomatoes, I really liked it, and a couple of kilograms of quiche-mish for raisins. The dryer did a great job with all this.
Alexandra
It dries normally, but like a dryer with a capacity of 2 times less, the same amount is dried in the same time, only the counter will wind less money, right? I can judge by the Summer Resident, his power is not much less - 0.8, but in the autumn he still warms up the room coolly. I think it makes sense to use this dryer with additional pallets.
Lud-Mil @
With additional trays, drying is naturally smarter and more cost-effective. The point is that they work out their cost completely, at least with this reduction in the cost of drying due to higher productivity.
And Walter's room heats up well, in summer it is not very comfortable of course, but on cool days this is a nice bonus.

Well, why bother with a NEW dryer that is still under warranty? So that they would not accept it later and refund the cost?
You should be careful with such advice. You will not reimburse the costs later, most likely you will not appear in the topic anymore ...

Seals at the bottom where the engine is. And on top there are four screws, which can be easily unscrewed without any consequences for the guarantee and see what kind of thermostat there is (Lux has a drip) and make sure that there is a thermal fuse and a thermal relay.

Moreover (I wonder why the manufacturer did not include it in the instructions?) It is advisable to do it periodically (at least once at the beginning of the harvesting season) to inspect the impeller and the spiral attachment points and clean them of any debris (well, there - the marshmallow leaked, the bugs are cockroaches , well, so that all kinds of fluff do not stick to the thermal fuse). True, a little specialist should do this. And then, as in the proverb - the eyes are afraid, and the hands are made of _opa ... The screws are true, not screws, so when assembling, you must try to get into the thread, so that the bushings do not loosen, and otherwise there are no difficulties.

I'm going to buy this dryer. In this regard, a lot of questions. How many pallets of marshmallow can she handle? How do you use nets, how many do you need?
olaola1
I have 10 pallets, 10 nets, 10 marshmallow plates. Pastila was dried several times, all pallets were used. Almost all vegetables and fruits are dried on nets, since it is more convenient to remove ready-made dried fruits.
Gingi
olaola1, thank you, I wanted to save some money, apparently it won't work. I argue with my husband how many pallets are needed, and here I am with nets.
$ vetLana
Gingi, Galina, I, immediately with the dryer, bought 5 pallets. I wanted to see if I needed plates and nets. Since I did not make the marshmallow, the plates were not needed. The nets are certainly very convenient, but I get by alone, put it on the bottom tray. Perhaps I will buy more nets. But, you can save on them.
Gingi
It seems to me that nets are easier to wash than pallets. Or I'm wrong?
$ vetLana
Yes. It is also convenient to dry small things. (Berries, herbs)
olaola1
In any case, pallets and nets will need to be washed. But if you dry or dry sweet fruits, then they stick to the pallet and the net, it is more convenient to remove from the net by removing it from the pallet. Of course, you can do without nets, but with them it is much more convenient.

Everything is one!
I put the trays together with the nets in the sink, plus a little dishwashing liquid, stand for 10-15 minutes, and clean with a brush, rinse with clean water, and put on a towel sideways so that the water drains off - all business for thirty minutes

Do you load all the pallets at once, or can you turn on and then add a pallet, how does your husband clean the apples?

As you wish! And at once and in parts

Storage of dried and cured products
If drying is properly and efficiently dried, it can be stored for years without problems.

A week ago, I would have written only rave reviews about my Walter Luxe dryer, but now I don't even know what to do. I bought it in August. She worked hard, almost every day. Dried fruits, marshmallows, herbs. Of course, she did not work for days, for about seven or eight hours. We don't even buy sweets at home, our grandchildren ask for drying. But yesterday the power button went out of order, the son-in-law, temporarily, until we find the button, connected it directly. And today I noticed that the air is very hot and the temperature indicator light does not blink. I turned the temperature down to zero. and then turned it off. I ask for help - can someone tell me what could be the reason?

Fix all problems, take temperature measurements in different modes and jump to the store or manufacturer, hand over the dryer while it is under warranty and you can do something, return the money.
Alexandra
Today I am drying elk sausage, the first stage was 65g. 1.5 hours, now it has moved to 35, and this air from her is not at all warm, and she herself too. But in Isidri Natasha dried for 35 and a half days, everything worked out. While in Walter, I like to dry sausage more, because in the infrared it smelled just like cutlets.

And pzhl answer the stupid question about electricity - if I dry 35 grams. , the dryer takes away not 1 kW, but less? I'm just at home alone and I'm afraid that I will knock it out if I also turn on the Shteba.

now it has switched to 35, and this air from her is not at all warm, and neither is she.
This is how to understand in Russian?
If you mean that you have lowered the temperature and hot air continues to blow from above, this is normal. It's just that the dryer has a decent mass and all this mass has heated up to 65 degrees. And it takes a decent time for it to cool down to 35 degrees. Thermal inertia, nothing to be done.
You can remove all hot trays and make sure that "very warm" air is blowing from below.
Admin

And it takes decent timeso that it cools down to 35 degrees.

Is this a Russian stove with residual heat until morning?
10-20 minutes and the degree inside changes. And if you remove the pallets, then you immediately feel the change in heating, if you raise your hand. And the pallets themselves are warm, not hot.

the power button is out of order
They also bought Walter Lux at the end of August. We immediately noticed that the thermal relay is triggered at around 40 degrees, although there is a scale of 30 and 35 degrees. Almost every day they dried greens, tomatoes, fruits, marshmallows. In October, too, the button was stuck, they did not have time to dry everything planned. In the service center under warranty, the button was changed for 2 weeks, because it was ordered from the manufacturer. Already tested on pastille and candied ginger (thanks to Tanya Admin for the recipe). While the flight is normal (TTT). But with the power buttons from the manufacturer in August, apparently, trouble ...

It feels like the verdict was signed by Voltere - no one writes about her anymore. We changed the button ourselves, because the nearest service center is in Rostov, and it's 500 km to it. And they continued to dry. But what happened to the thermostat is not clear. The dryer was at the radiator and there were 8 sheets of marshmallow in it, so most likely I overloaded it and maybe it would have turned off by itself. In general, she is smart, how much I have dried everything in it and fruits and marshmallows, and dried melon is generally yummy. And the button is quite inexpensive and I think that the factory will take into account our complaints and no one will write more about these ill-fated buttons.
