LET'S LEAVE THE SAME RECIPES
Let's! With pleasure!
Four days ago, a spicy herb called jambil was dried at the dacha. It is great for Uzbek shurpa and not only, it can be added to meat and vegetables.
To be honest, not all regions of Uzbekistan know it either. Although it is rarely found in the markets in Russia.
This is a variety, it seems, of thyme, but a completely different taste.
Unfortunately, in the Moscow region, it only grows as an annual plant, preferably in a greenhouse. she feels good there.
So it grew rapidly - they decided to dry it, dried it along with the stems, a plant 25-30 cm high.
I set the thermostat to 40 degrees (I only later measured the temperature on the sieves - it turned out to be 32 degrees).
It was dry for about 8 hours, the leaves, of course, dried up much earlier, but the stems delayed the matter.
As a result, about a liter plastic can of loose packing dried on 5 sieves. Wonderful aroma and taste.
We use fresh herbs in salads. The grass has a subtle bitterness.
Jambil has a kind of "mountain taste" - whoever has been in the mountains will understand that this is a rich aroma of spicy herbs mixed with mountain air.
If you suddenly see it on the market, try it.

I got confused in the discussion, so I decided to clarify all the same, did I understand correctly that pallets from Volter 1000 Lux are suitable for the Walter 1000 dryer, they just need to be placed lower?
I asked a question about compatibility on the website of the online store, but the answer was "the manufacturer no longer releases, you are unlikely to find it somewhere"
Pallet color doesn't bother me at all
Thanks in advance for your help
Ivanovna5
Tan_ch, see above answer "Reply # 443 Yesterday at 12:24" olaola1... It is clearly written that he uses sieves from simple and luxury and no problems arise.
Tan_ch
Thank you, I just could not understand, olaola1 Walter 1000 or Walter 1000 lux, that's why I specify.
So I order additional pallets.
Ivanovna5
Tan_ch, Tanya, just keep in mind that you need to mark them somehow, so as not to waste time and energy on rearranging if they turn out to be the same color.

I have 1000 Walter.

The Walter 1000 dryer continues to be improved. A little over half an hour ago, I received a message from the plant that produces "Volter": "Hello. We are glad to inform you that the plant has begun production and sale of Walter dryers with an electronic control unit equipped with a 48 hour timer with auto shutdown."
sveta-Lana
Who needs it, additional sieves for the Volter 1000 appeared on sale at a price of 338 rubles, they are cheaper than for the Lux.

🔗

All the same, I asked on the site a question whether these sieves would fit the Walter 1000 dryer, but bought last year and this is what they answered me:
"Unfortunately, these polypropylene sieves still do not fit perfectly with the old sieves. The material is new. You can use the following way: put new gratings on the base (first rows), and on top of them the old ones. Then they fit well, practically without heat loss."

Good day! I ask for advice in choosing, choose between the 1000 Lux Walter and the new Walter with a timer and email. control unit. What is better and safer to buy. Maybe there are already happy owners of new items and reviews?
dandelion
Friends, tell me where to buy Voltaire 1000 lux?
Ivanovna5
dandelion, Hi! I typed in a search engine and this is what I got:

sveta-Lana
I bought from a manufacturer, Walter Trading House. Electronic ordering system

🔗

they have a luxury price of 4980 rubles on their website, others are more expensive
dandelion
sveta-Lana, is the delivery expensive?

Ivanovna5, I just want to buy from a trusted and reliable store.
sveta-Lana
dandelion, the delivery price probably depends on the transport company and the distance
I ordered through the TC Baikal Service, 475 rubles came out to Tyumen
and they also propose to make a crate, because shopping malls cannot be delivered without it, and so, they have it cheaper than 200 rubles than in shopping malls 300-350 rubles
therefore, when placing an order, I immediately included the crate.
The crate was made for the dryer itself, and the additional pallets in the box were fine.

the other day the dryer stopped heating: the fan is working, but it is not heating. My brother replaced the thermal fuse, it worked.
Suddenly someone will come in handy, for the Volter-1000 you need a 10A 250V thermal fuse, temperature 167. On Ali you can buy for a ridiculous amount of money (about 100 rubles for 20 pieces), in Moscow 100 rubles for one. Bought at the Quartz store.

this novelty with a timer costs 5900 rubles, but just Lux is 4980 rubles

Tan_ch, Tanya, thank you! This is valuable information. It was the same with my dryer, I gave it to the service center, so they ripped off 1,500 rubles. They wrote in the receipt for the repair of the electrical network.

Good day! I've already read everything here, but I still can't choose between Voltaire and Belomo
Can the owners of both dryers eat?
sveta-Lana
Marina Lali, I also at one time chose between Walter and Belomo, in principle, the difference between them is in power,
for me the decisive factor was that Voltera is produced in Russia and if anything, it will not be so confusing,
besides, I bought on the manufacturer's website, which is cheaper than in other online stores,
I've been using it for the second year, I'm quite happy.

Thanks to the positive experience of the girls from this topic, in the spring, before the start of the summer season, I bought myself a Voltaire. The dryer runs continuously. I dry strawberries, zucchini, eggplants, cherries, raspberries. And, of course, she did it. I used to make it in the oven, it will burn, then it will dry unevenly, some torment. The dryer is just great now.

Nadezd @, congratulations on your assistant!
A dryer is a thing !!! ... I really have Isidri, but they speak with Walter alike. In any case, this is a very necessary and useful acquisition!
I also love to dry everything! I like dried cherries, dried apples very much. From vegetables in season I dry carrots, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, herbs, beets. Then it's great to cook with them. I came home tired after work, and then I still have to cook ... I took a piece of chicken out of the freezer, threw it into the MV, added dried carrots, onions, peppers, herbs, peeled a couple of potatoes, plus salt, spices, water. I pressed the button and after 30-40 minutes the soup is ready! Time spent only 5 minutes peeling / slicing potatoes. All other vegetables have already been pre-peeled / sliced before drying. Very time saving!

Thank you! Be Walter! I look at their site. 5900₽ with timer and El block. 4980 rubles with manual control, both from ABS)))

I do not remember who, but they mentioned that the main difference is in the duration of the work. Voltaire can work for days without stopping, and Bely needs breaks. It seems something like that.

Tat, the pastille can be dried at a temperature of 40 degrees, it just dries longer.
Most likely you will just need to cover the pallets with parchment and you should get a wonderful pastille.

You can also sprinkle sugar - a matter of taste. These are already dessert apples

Well, the dryer will dry exactly as long as it takes

I dry apples like this - I cut out the middle with an apple peeler, then I just cut them into circles and put them in the dryer for the night! No sugar and no time consuming. They are very tasty, not at all like dried fruits from the grandmother, who dried apples in the sun. Better than any candy!
But the skin, harsh, interferes a little ... Therefore, this year I want to clean the skin before drying, dry it separately and use it when cooking compote.
By the way, the middle of apples can also be dried and put in compote. Waste-free production!

Exactly, apples dried in a dryer are very tasty. In winter, we bought a 1000 lux Wolter dryer with 10 trays, and bought 5 pallets and 5 nets for marshmallows. Now, when the blanks are in full swing, they realized that it was necessary to buy more trays and buy for pastila by the number of trays and nets by the number of trays. So we think, whether to buy up to 13 trays, or up to 15 trays, the head is already "spinning".

As for apples, I completely agree, last summer I dried a lot of apple chips, during the drying process I ate several 5 liter containers, 7 more such containers were left for the winter, ate quickly, there was a little left and that was because I put it off.
As for pallets and trays, you need to decide according to your needs, I have 12 marshmallow trays, 11 nets. In addition, on the advice of Irsha, they cut out 2 pallets for marshmallow from non-stick mats (on Ali 60 by 40 cm, less than 100 rubles), only 15 pallets, but I really use no more than 13 at a time, just for 13 pallets at the same time for It is difficult to cut fruits / berries / vegetables in the evening or prepare a base for marshmallows, I have no more than 2 hours to do everything in the evening, and in the morning I can't spend more than 15-20 minutes on "parsing" the dryer. But if you order, then I would get to the maximum permitted configuration on pallets, on trays for marshmallows you can consider a replacement (cut out of rugs, use parchment), I don't use nets for drying apples, last year, I had only one mesh, so I perfectly dried everything, including cherries, prunes, apricots, on pallets, and used marshmallow trays for greens. I already bought nets this spring.

It is recommended to cut apples no thicker than 0.5 cm. The quarters are thick, do they dry? The apricots were dried, they also tried to cut them into 0.5 cm thick, but I really wanted to dry them in halves, I did not experiment, I was afraid that they would not dry out, and then (during storage) they would become moldy.
