When I make yogurt in a slow cooker (right in a saucepan), I try to transfer the cooled one to another container with huge spoons, so as to injure him less.

Why don't you put a container in the bowl so that you don't transfer it later?
Bon Bon
No, I mix it only when I'm ready to eat it
Bon Bon
And I cook yogurt right away in jars (severin), plus on a battery in half-liter jars

Well, then it's understandable - if you stirred it, of course it is already as thick as in the beginning, and it will not be
Elena Bo
I used to put it. Now I threw out all the half-liter cans without thinking. And the big ones are not convenient. I also have a yogurt maker, but there is no extra place to put it for so long. Yes, and I don't want to mess with small jars.
Recently, I like yogurt more from the Brand multicooker (it does not sour for a long time).
Bon Bon
: (All the same, at the beginning there was a spoon and there was milk too. And now I'm doing the same thing, but ...
Bon Bon
We'll have to try again in the brand's multicooker to make yogurt and see
Elena Bo
I have Brand 37502. I did it for 6 hours. I finished eating on the 5th day and he was exactly the same as on the first. And from the yogurt maker he began to sour on the 3rd day for sure.

Yes, it can be seen that it is watery - drinkable - but still probably tasty
Maybe they took them out of the yogurt maker early? And how long did they hold? And what was fermented with?
I will report! Made in a DEX108 yogurt maker. The only thing that I read is that you need to pour warm water into it about 40 g. Well, I poured it, VIVO ferment, Milk 3.2%, Buffet table is written. In the yoghurt maker, yoghurt stood at 8 am until 4:30 pm. In the interval I looked in, everything was fine, as if it was not overheating, my husband was measuring the temperature. Then I let it stand for another 30 minutes in the yogurt maker and then everything was immediately sent to the refrigerator. True, I broke one jar. tasted it. Sour, I would say it looked like a child's kefir (I made this to my baby son in Soviet times), and I can't say that the spoon was standing. So it was of medium density, the yogurt stood in the refrigerator until morning. In the morning I looked. I tried a couple of spoons, it didn't sour. But since it is dangerous for me to eat milk, I decided to try it in the evening. So I stirred it before eating. Then I added cherry jam syrup and lupanula. Everything is fine, but I want the spoon to stand! Well, I don't want to drink but eat like ice cream! =) My husband liked it too, but he literally ate a couple of spoons, because he was going to consume beer. And beer with milk, overweight 100%.

Well, for example, when you add jam, you mix it. When you are going to eat, you also interfere with the portion. For example, in jars from a yogurt maker, everything was prepared.
By the way, in the photo it is still without additives and did not interfere. She just took a spoon, scooped it out of the jar and turned it over. and my husband took pictures!
Elena Bo
No matter how dense the yogurt is, if you mix it, then the spoon will no longer stand there. It will definitely be thinner. Just like store sour cream. It is thick in a jar, but you start to mix with sugar and immediately completely liquid.

Well, I didn't bother him when I was taking pictures. I just dropped the spoon, took the yogurt and turned the spoon over, that's it. By the way, now I went on purpose to see how he behaves in a jar. If you put it on its side, it flows. And they showed that it was a homogeneous mass and did not roll off the jar.
Elena Bo
It is necessary either to increase the fermentation time or add milk powder.

Here's another thing, oddly enough, but my over-starter is mostly thicker than the first leaven. Re-ferment the finished yogurt, take a look. Take 3-4 tablespoons of yogurt per liter of milk, the process is the same, but the time for sourdough must be significantly reduced, the over-starter is prepared faster. Look in 3-4 hours. As it thickens - put it in the refrigerator immediately.

And where did you subtract On the Zakvaski website? I never pour water - I also have this yogurt maker
Yesterday I made yoghurt with Italian sourdough:
Yoghurt maker - selection, reviews, questions about operation (1)
In the yogurt maker stood for 11 hours - no peroxide and no cheese curd. At the bottom of the yoghurt maker I have a Freken Bock napkin laid (as it is, it still lies) - this is a reassurance, even though the yogurt maker does not overheat.
When I over-ferment with my yogurt, everything is much faster - about 5 hours.

Thanks everyone! Yes, I read the starter cultures on the website. Just when I received a parcel with a yogurt maker, I put her passport somewhere, but I couldn't find it so quickly. I went to the site and did as they wrote. On the weekend I still want to find my passport. We sell VIVO starter culture in current stores in Kishen. There are no others, although Silpo is opening tomorrow for us, suddenly they will appear there, we'll see. Did you have yogurt plugged in for 11 hours? So I don't have cheese, and after the refrigerator it is no longer sour. just drinking. Interestingly, but you can, for example, put fewer bulls in a yogurt maker. I just really understand that my husband and I can't eat everything quickly, but as I understand it, it can't be stored in the refrigerator for a long time. I promise to eat it over the weekend and repeat the starter from the finished yogurt.

How to add milk powder and lope?
Elena Bo
Powdered milk must be looked at so that it is natural, without any byaki. It is added to milk, together with the leaven, and mixed. 2 tablespoons are enough for a good result. But you can also 1.

Fewer cans are possible.
The first batch (sourdough) can be stored for 5 days, then the useful dies. Re-sourdough is good for 2 days, so don't do too much at once. I re-ferment for exactly two days so that it is. That is, it turns out that you can eat yogurt every day from one bag on average for a week. What we do, for breakfast we all eat a jar of yogurt, and then we have breakfast. Sometimes I also make curd with yogurt for dinner. Or yogurt with fruit.
Calculate whether the bacteria in your yoghurt will be alive by Monday-Tuesday.

Yes, it won't be. Made yogurt 14 night in the fridge. It turns out that the terms will be 100% tomorrow. Okay, it means we'll buy something else for the leaven, or I'll use Vivo again. The main thing is to finish eating the remaining 4 jars, but at the rate today I will eat one myself in the evening.

If you have one on sale, try some more Bulgarian starter cultures, I invariably have yoghurt from them thicker than from Vivo. And we all taste better. Now I just take them. Maybe you will like it. If you find it, take Bioyogurt - the most delicious Bulgarian thing, and thicker than just Yogurt. And yet, if you cook with Bulgarian sourdoughs - watch for the result, my yogurt is ready very quickly, in comparison, for example, with Italian Good Food.
And if you don't eat all your yogurt, then bake this one on it braid from mistletoereplacing kefir with yogurt. Well, it turns out very tasty!
Or some kind of muffin on yogurt, we also have enough of them on the forum.

It's better to me "on you"
Yes, the yogurt maker was included in the network. But I think that I got 11 o'clock, because it was not very warm in the kitchen - it was well ventilated (or rather, I forgot to cover the window), but it would have been 8-9 hours.
Read about Bulgarian starter cultures here 🔗 - may be useful in some way.
Maybe in Silpo you will have other leavens, but in Poltava, even in Silpo, even in Velmart, even in the Metro, only Vivo is sold. And we have Bulgarian ones in one pharmacy, all arms legs will not reach in any way - maybe tomorrow I will get out. And GoodFood is sold in 4-5 points.
And find a passport from a yogurt maker - and read it - there is not a word about water

Good morning! I found my passport.really no about water. I have warmth in the kitchen, its own heating. True, we have not turned on at all for a week. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look now. When you buy the starter, drop the name, or maybe show a photo. Good luck for today.

It is beautiful for vacationers, and recently everyone has been saying that there is dirt and continuous trade. But of course there are also beautiful places. But because of my vague work schedule (tiny business), I still have no time to go anywhere. I used to go and walk somehow, but now the car, work, home.
Risa
IRR, please tell me how high the jar fits into your yogurt maker, and how wide it is (yoghurt maker)).

water must be poured into the DEX yogurt maker, it is so arranged, warm water and helps the milk to ferment, the yogurt maker will never overheat with water, which is very important. As for the starter cultures, I gave up on vivo long ago, with this yeast the yogurt is really tender, but I like it to be denser and I use Italian sacco starter cultures, while I buy them for 5 UAH at Kidstaff.

rusja
For more than 1.5 years I used DEKH-108, right now I gave it to the younger generation, the water never poured and, as a rule, did not overheat, except for the 40-degree last summer. But even then, at the forum, they jointly found a way out - not to close a common lid, for a greenhouse effect, but only each jar separately with its own lid and the leavening time was significantly reduced.
That is, pouring water or not pouring is a controversial issue
TyominaAlyona
If I am not mistaken, the recommendation to pour water into the yogurt maker was for 107 model DEH.
I also use 108 and do not pour water.

Water is poured into model 107, which is described in the instructions for it. And in 108 models there is not a word about water in the instructions.

irysska, this is exactly what we were going to play on the last offline in Moscow. By the way, in METRO DEX-108 it costs 169 UAH. Plus there is a promotion from Dex - the box contains a coupon with a code, according to which a trial set of VIVO starter cultures should be sent.

Yes, I also bought in the Metro, but for 179 UAH. The coupon should also have been - but it was not there - either they resisted it, or someone knows it, and the yogurt maker fell under the share. I wrote 2 emails - one to the Vivo starter culture site, the other to the Dex site. From the Starter cultures they answered that since there is no coupon, the yogurt maker does not participate in the action (well, natural goons, because I bought it during the promotion period), and from the Dex website they wrote that apparently just this batch of yogurt makers was brought to the Metro even before the action, but At the same time, they sent me a promotional code by mail - respect for their honesty, they did not even require a copy of the receipt - and they sent me these 5 bottles of Vivo starter culture
So, if anyone is going to take a yogurt maker in the Metro - check the availability of this certificate for starter cultures!

Girls 100% in METRO do not go to promotional DEX yogurt makers. My neighbor works there, so she loaded him up for the New Year to buy me one as a gift. Immediately asked to look about the coupon. He called me from the base, they say they have all the delivery without a coupon. It's a shame, so I wanted to make two gifts in one! I had to take without coupons, I really needed it! Thank you for the tip with letters to DEX, now I will write, suddenly I will be lucky and send a set. And why call then - if the action is official, then what calls can there be - especially since Metro is indicated on Dex's website as an official representative. If there are no coupons - let them invest, it's their problem, not the buyer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Good day everyone! I was presented with a Dex 107 yogurt maker for the New Year, at first I was very happy, and then I considered that this model does not have a bowl for cottage cheese. I was counting on her a lot, because I have two children, the youngest is only two weeks old, so homemade cottage cheese will be very useful. Is there any opportunity to cook cottage cheese at 107 or buy a bowl somewhere else?

First, with a great gift, let it please you! Secondly, why be upset then
Go to the store, pick up any suitable or plastic container, or a suitable glass salad bowl (if there is thermal glass or plastic, then put it in a water bath in this container, if not, pour the leaven into another suitable container and in it already into a water bath) - and you will have cottage cheese happiness.

The main thing brought joy to the person with a gift, I myself shared my leavens, I gave several pieces for testing. Let all this remain on the conscience of the METRO leadership in Simferopol.
