Zero Yogurt

Ingredients

Milk 0.2% 1 l
bioyogurt without additives 0% 150 g
skimmed milk powder 3 tbsp. l. with a slide

Cooking method

  • It so happened that I needed zero yogurt without any additives and flavors, and daily in rather large quantities and for a long time. And, oddly enough, having climbed 4 hypermarkets and about 7 smaller stores, I found one only in METRO - 2 (!) Tiny jars of 100 gr. "This won't work," I decided, and began dancing around the multicooker, trying to make low-fat yogurt myself. After three days of torment and several kilograms of pancakes baked from whey, I bought a yogurt maker. After rereading a bunch of recipes (including the instructions for the yogurt maker, where it says that I can't see yogurt on skim milk, the maximum is kefir) and breaking a dozen copies, I still achieved the desired result. I hasten to share it with you (all of a sudden someone else needs to URGENTLY lose weight by the sea)
  • So, skim milk (definitely pasteurized, you will hardly find another zero), by the way, which also turned out to be a problem, to heat up to 38-40 degrees. I had Parmalat 0.2%. The sourdough (I had a bio-yoghurt of yesterday's production, that is, completely fresh. I think it will work out for everyone there too), warm it up to room temperature, add skimmed milk powder into it, stir thoroughly. Pour milk into the starter little by little with a spoon, mix thoroughly. When the mass becomes thinner, pour it into the rest of the milk and stir. Pour into jars of a yogurt maker (I have Tefal) and start the mode. The instructions said it took 6 hours, my yogurt was ready in 4 hours. Refrigerate jars at least overnight for final fermentation.
  • In the morning we have very tasty and rather thick yogurt.

Warm milk + any yoghurt of short shelf life + 6 hours in any yogurt maker (now a Steba multicooker) + 2 hours in the refrigerator for ripening = thick yoghurt, even if using liquid drinking yoghurt when added to milk. And this recipe works for all friends and their (all different) yogurt makers
