Answer the newbie! Can rye bread be kneaded with a regular spatula? I have a 256 model. there is no special paddle

You can, everyone does it ...
Rina
the last time I baked rye-wheat bread (50/50), I forgot to change the spatula. I remembered this only when I was already taking out the bread from the HP.

You can, you can. I also have a 256th bunny! I've been playing with her for 2 months already. I tried a lot of things). Rye kneads well with a regular spatula. Just control the batch. Look and say sweet words. When kneading rye dough, it stands rooted to the spot, does not even move! I thought it would be difficult for her - it would hum, grumble and shake - but no, everything goes well!
When I first baked rye bread, an incident occurred to me: I imagined that rye in height would be the same as wheat (well, yes, I’m stupid! But this is the first time) and when I pulled out a flat heavy brick, I immediately threw it into a bag , then to give to the birds. I put a new batch, took the spatula in my hands - and well, help the dough knead! And it does not mix !!!! ... In general, after half an hour of tears and lamentations, I guessed to stick my hand in the dough - and then (so you think ??) NO SPADES !!!!! It turned out that I threw it out safely along with that brick !! : o Well, I didn't throw it out on the street !!!
So there are such nuances ....))))
July @
Good afternoon, all lovers of homemade bread !!!!!!!!!! I have ranked my family in this community for almost three years. The first bread maker Mulinex (HUGE thanks to her!) Opened my eyes to the world of beautiful, fragrant and high-quality bread. We don't buy bread from the store at all. Children don't eat it just at all)))))))) And they refuse to eat it, they ask where is OUR bread?
The first bread maker was loved, praised and used VERY often (bread, muffins, dough and even jam). We just rubbed the bucket in several places to the holes, the rubber gasket also worn off and the bucket began to leak. I started looking for a replacement bucket and a spatula ... and did not find it: o It was decided to buy a new bread maker! After reading a bunch of information, including on this forum .... today in the morning the Panasonic SD-257 model was selected and bought. While I'm trying an ordinary muffin with lemon juice and raisins)))))) Let's see .... I'm very surprised by the temperature leveling, the absence of a window and the design. The design is great! Fitted into my kitchen perfectly! The window is not really necessary)))) But I can’t say anything about the temperature leveling yet, probably I will understand the quality of the bread)))) In general, take me into the ranks)))) I will try to unsubscribe about the first experience! And of course I will use the recipes.
There is one fear ..... may order a second bucket and a knife for kneading .... I worry that again in 3 years I will have to look for it and I won't find it. Moderators, tell me WHERE you can buy a bucket? Or maybe I shouldn't panic. This model has a new, more resistant surface .... What experience do you have? In general, ideally, I would find a bucket for an old bread machine and give it to my mother at her dacha, where are the links to find a bucket for Mulinex? Thanks in advance!!!!!
Rina
July @Welcome to the company of Panasonic growers!

As for the bucket - I have a 255 model, I bought it three years ago. I was forced to buy a second bucket because of my "crooked handles" - I dropped a spoon into the working HP, the coating was thoroughly scratched. The second bucket has been in operation for two years now, there are a couple of parallel circular scratches under the knife, apparently, some kind of inclusions of a stone coli got in.But I recently changed my own mixer to a black one from the 257 model (my native one is very shabby). So, in fact, the coating of the Panasonic buckets is very durable, and it seems that there was no mention of leaking oil seals. Since the 256/257 models are relatively recent, I don't think the spare buckets will be gone in the next few years. If we are talking only about the coating, then in Russia there are companies engaged in the restoration of non-stick coatings. In general, in my opinion, there is no urgency and urgent need to purchase a spare wheel.

For the possibilities of buying spare parts, contact your regional Panasonic representative (you must have it there). I don’t know what opportunities you have in Khabarovsk (Japan seems to be closer).

About Mulinex, here is the section where you can find the information you need. https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=369.0

Good evening!
Finally, I became the happy owner of 256 models, I dreamed about it for so long !! Today I decided to try the unit and faced the first problem. I took the recipe "Ordinary white bread with raisins" from the recipe book, only decided not to look for easy ways and immediately decided to experiment, instead of 500 gr. wheat flour took 250 gr. peeled rye and wheat, and I wanted to add more seeds to it. I put everything up according to the program (with raisins). After 46 minutes. a beep sounded that ingredients can be added. I looked under the lid, there is already such a cute bun, I poured seeds right on it. And after that, the data began to flash on the scoreboard, and instead of the time there was "0". My husband decided to help me, and let's press all the buttons! So "helped", WHAT AT ALL TURNED OFF ALL !!! And when they pressed the start again, the program "main" mode "BAKE" turned on and the time until the end was 4 hours !!! In general, let's start all over again !!! And the bun is already there! We quarreled with my husband to smithereens, but decided to see if something would work out, I felt sorry for the products. Respond, can anyone have something like this?
Rina
If everything happened recently, reset the program (by pressing the start / stop button for a couple of seconds), let the dough rise, then turn on the "baking" (about 50 minutes).
olkot
Thank you for quick answer! Unfortunately, it happened about 1.5 hours ago (we thought for a long time what to do, while I wrote to you). Thus, it probably cannot be stopped, you will have to wait another 2.5 hours before the end of the process. Come what may! Then I will unsubscribe how the matter ended.

and you will have normal bread ...

Set the mode to basic fast. It has almost no temperature equalization, 2 hours.

I don't know what opportunities you have in Khabarovsk (Japan seems to be closer
I found a site "goods from japan" such as direct deliveries, delivery by mail .... I asked for buckets for hp and a multinu saucepan ... they told me that our Panasonic products have nothing to do with Japan ...... tips or look for spare parts elsewhere ...
Rina
olkot, The problem is not that you cannot stop (you can stop at any time), but that there has already been additional mixing and boning. Here it will already turn out what will turn out (I'm afraid that there will be a dense brick - 50% rye - that's a lot, and even extra boning).

And explain to your husband that this bread maker is AUTOMATIC. And the programs were not developed by fools. There is nothing to poke on the buttons once again ...

Read the instructions. Learn how to handle the stove in extreme situations (ingredient error, power failure).
Right here AMBULANCE for beginners Panasonic breeders.

Set the mode to basic fast. It has almost no temperature equalization, 2 hours.
This is what I would not recommend doing if an hour and a half of the main program has passed. This is another active kneading that the dough no longer needs. If we are to translate into manual control, then it is necessary to reset all programs, give proofing and set the "baking" program.

Good morning! As you expected, my bread turned out in the form of a brick, both externally and internally. ...
But I'm not particularly upset. For now, I will bake without experiments, according to proven recipes.
And I won't let my husband get close to the stove either, let me eat my brick first

I had even more trenchant! (somewhere far away is my post) I took the temperature rise for a breakdown
Then Th only with poor HP just did not do !!! It's a shame so far!
And the bread was not immediately obtained. I first mastered simple white, and when I learned, with the help of this forum I began to bake wheat-rye and rye and all the rest))
It's better not to rush and chew the information thoroughly, then everything will be great. I wish you success!

Well, yes, you would have to start with a simple white, then the result would be different ...
my bread turned out to be in the form of a brick, both externally and internally.
it is necessary to clarify that such breads are not particularly lush .... you read about the peculiarities of rye bread ..... there kneading, bun, the rise is different from white .... but did you taste it? Borodinsky in the store is also a brick ... many write that it looks not very good, but to taste ...

Exactly. I threw out my first rye, because I thought it should be the same size as wheat !!! And even with a spatula inside !! well not immediately thrown away!

in our LV, the scapula remained in the bread all the time and then they strove to cut it with a knife ..... I pasted a piece of paper on the wall, glued it with large letters over the HP "BLADE".... well to do, sclerosis ....

Thank you all very much for the moral support of the unfortunate baker!
My brick tastes like nothing, quite edible, but the taste is somehow specific. The crust is crispy, and the crumb is very dense, but this is from 50% rye flour and a long process. Plus, I stuffed sunflower seeds up to a heap and they somehow seemed to dissolve in the dough. So it is generally impossible to understand what gives such a specific flavor. Either rye flour, or seeds.
The next bread I will bake is the simplest white one without additives.
Now I will gain experience with your help and advice.
*** yana ***
there, up to a heap of also sunflower seeds, I stuffed and they somehow seemed to dissolve in the dough.
they broke with a stirrer. your stove does not have a dispenser. if you want them to be intact, then you need to add them after the sound signal ... and you can also pour on top before baking ...
Moskvichk @
And after I threw out a new batch, I put
For a long time then I tried to understand why the dough is not kneading !!! ???

I myself were like that .....: yes: here you have to take it as a rule: before pouring ingredients into the bucket, first scroll the spatula several times with your finger, holding the bucket in your hands ... and they usually write about this in the instructions .. ... then you will not forget about the spatula and it is always useful to scroll the shaft before kneading ...
olkot
*** Yana ***, so it was after the sound signal that I fell asleep!
But then everything did not go according to the program, because.my husband turned off the stove, because instead of the final time (as written in the instructions), "0" blinked on the display, and he decided that everything should be turned on again. So I turned it on, again for 4 hours, so the seeds were ground.
So I'm wondering, what would have happened if we hadn't messed up, that is, how should it be according to the program? After the signal, the seeds fell asleep, and then what? Would the stove continue the process after a while? And what information should be on the scoreboard? We were confused by the blinking "0".
*** yana ***
usually, the filling of seeds, etc. occurs in the final part ... there is not so much kneading as kneading-forming .... the seeds are distributed in the dough, but do not break ... then usually, some time is given for the last rise of the dough (20-40 minutes) and then baking begins

Well, my first experience with Panasonic cake with raisins with lemon juice was not entirely successful either ... there is something hard .... but it is too dry cake. I just think butter is not 100 grams, but 150 grams, for example, and everything will be OK. But we eat the cupcake with chocolate pas, great. And something else hurt for a long time, the alignment worked for at least 40 minutes .... Now the French has loaded .... let's see. I also dream of trying corn flour and different flakes
But at the expense of the bucket, thank you. The coverage is certainly better than in my previous mulinex, but I hope it will be longer)))) than three years ...

in French, the alignment can be up to two hours. How much is 22-24 in your kitchen now?

So I finally became the owner of a Panasonic SD-257 bread machine - presented for my birthday! Not just a "young baker", but already at the oven !!!

We now live in a dacha, the voltage in the local power grid is "walking", but the oven coped with the first test bread. Baked wheat milk, size M, crust color - medium. The oven equalized the temperature for 60 minutes, during the kneading I still looked into the mold, and the rise and baking were already unattended.

Hurray, bought a Panasonic bread maker! First impressions and reviews

The bread turned out to be lopsided, I did not guess to weigh it, the upper crust is thin, the side and lower ones are thicker.

I don't have a cooling rack, I wrapped it in a towel and left it to cool. The cooled one was cut and tasted.

Tasty, aromatic, healthy !!! The next day, I cut it like a toast and, as a base for hot cheese sandwiches, baked in a roaster. Excellent result!!!

Good evening everyone!
We arrived yesterday from the village, where they took the stove with them. I tried to bake bread there 3 times, BUT there were problems with electricity (they turned off without warning for several hours).
The first time I had to throw everything away, the second time - thanks to the neighbors - they saved my bread, they had a gasoline electric generator. And I had to run to them, drag the bread maker and bake on the "baking" mode. But, despite these difficulties, we can say that the bread ALMOST turned out! The roof sagged a little and the crumb was like an Easter cake (very, very loose), but still very tasty !!! I didn't have time to take a picture, they ate it right away.
But option 3 came out just with a bang! According to the recipe from the instructions, egg. Such a handsome man !!!
Here! I want to brag about my first small victory.
Something difficult and thorny is my path as a novice baker!

Congratulations on your first success! Are these difficulties? The reason for the failure did not depend on you ... We can assume that this third one is your firstborn ... so very pretty ...

so I had the same amount of joy from my Panasonic, then registering on this site, buying a dough sheeter, now I'm considering buying a multicooker, tomorrow I'm going for a vegetable grater, my husband hasn't seen this from me for 15 years, so I spent so much time in the kitchen with pleasure, and I already learned how to bake bread in the oven (otherwise I used to think that she was just baking chickens), then I still read something on the forum and want to, and it all started with my beloved Panasonic 257
and I forgot about the sewing machine - I saw enough of Tild dolls
olkot
And now we will probably have to buy a gasoline electric generator for the bread maker. Without it, I'm afraid we won't be able to bake normal bread in our village. And then sit and guess, turn off the email. energy, they will not turn off, I will have time to finish burning, I will not have time.

Well, here I am in your ranks. For a week, the new Panasonic SDZB-2502 flaunts in the kitchenette. So far, only two breads have been baked, French turned out to be great, and rye, like nothing, but something was missing. Now Diet (wheat) is being prepared. There are a lot of questions, but so far I haven’t collected my thoughts, I’m sitting on the site. In practice, I cannot compare the stove with previous models, this is my first.

from whom the Panasonic 257 measure the height with the lid raised, we are going to buy. and the distance from the table top to the wall cabinet is 54 cm. We are afraid that we will not be able to lift the lid. Thank you
I had a stove for six months like this ... the lower cabinet is wider than the upper one ... I put the stove on a substrate so that the rubber legs do not interfere with its moving ... I pulled it out, put it all there, closed it, pushed it in ... ok. I thought, at first, that it would overheat there, everything turned out to be fine ... the main thing is that then nothing should be right on the sides ...

Good evening, dear forum users! My name is Lena. Today my husband bought me a bread maker, 257, as I dreamed for a whole week, reading the forum. She came running, unpacked ... Wow, beautiful. I started reading a topic for newbies in baking, about a bun, etc. I felt that my head was boiling, refusing to think and my hands were reaching for the products for the first bread. In general, I downloaded everything according to the instructions for the bread maker and now I go around it in circles, it’s scary to open it (I don’t remember when it can be done), there is no peeping window, now I’ll be on guard until two in the morning, I can’t sleep, I’m worried.
