And I made yogurt yesterday! For a liter of milk, I put a jar of activation for 6 hours - this turned out to be a bit too much. The yogurt curdled a little and whey appeared, after standing in the refrigerator the whey disappeared. The taste is wonderful, the consistency is delicate, but with a splash of curd. Next time I'll try on special sourdoughs!

Evening for everyone!

I want to give my parents a multicooker to NG. Tell me, if you choose between Dex50, Dex60, Aurora 250, which would you choose? My head is already swelling, the reviews are so different everywhere

Thank you very much for your help (I really, really need it)!

My head is already swelling, the reviews are so different everywhere
Oh, I understand you! Old-timers-multivars to help you! I can only say why I chose Dex-60: 1 - the cartoon is actually the same Dex 50, but it has been tested and approved by many, 2 - a removable lid and the best saucepan (replaceable ones are on sale), 3 - a manual program, that is, the opportunity to experiment ... What confused me personally - 4 liters and not 5 liters, high power, which is good for frying, but not very for delicate dishes, such as casserole of cottage cheese and milk porridge (although such a program is there by default, but the flakes have so far gone into the valve), though there is still a chance to fix it manually ... Well, something like this. There is still a good cartoon Liberton 0502, I wanted it at first, you read it in the thread. It has a removable lid and an excellent pan. It's just that if I took it, I would suffer later, because of my untested manual mode, and to be honest, I still don't understand myself whether I made the right choice, time will tell. But in general, all multi are good, as I understand it, they fulfill their task, although many pots quickly fail.
TyominaAlyona
A very important advantage of Deks is a high-quality bowl and the ability to buy a spare tire without any problems (130-180 UAH).
In Aurora's bowl, as in most budget cartoons, over time (and rather quickly with frequent use of high-temperature modes) products begin to "stick". Now there are problems with the purchase of a spare bowl (although, perhaps, these are temporary difficulties), and the price, due to scarcity, is unjustifiably inflated - 250 UAH.
Dex 50 and 60 are multi-worthy. Only the 60th model has a removable insert on the inside of the lid (it is convenient to wash), manual temperature control from 40 to 180 degrees and there are functions Yogurt, Milk porridge. The "Rice, Spaghetti Express" mode (available in the 50th) has been replaced by the "Buckwheat" mode. In the 60th, a slightly more convenient range of adjustment of the cooking time in different modes.
The 50-ke has a "Boil" mode (far from the most popular, but also useful mode).
There are no "jambs" with modes in both Dexes. The only thing is that in the 50th after the high-temperature Frying, the less hot Quenching mode may not immediately turn on, sometimes you need to wait a couple of minutes (for the 60th model, I have not found such a feature yet). And, again, in the 50th there is no specialized Milk Porridge regimen. I use both Dexes every day. I am very happy, I like both! Although, of course, the repertoire of capabilities of the 60th model is greater.

Evaluate which menu is preferred by those presented with a multicooker, do they need milk porridge or yogurt? Is it essential to have a large volume (5-liter Aurora) with a not very reliable bowl or will a high-quality 4-liter bowl of Dex be enough (in fact, in both cartoons, you can boil-cook almost 1 liter less). The Deks have a more convenient timer for setting the delayed cooking, since it is tied to the built-in clock and the time is set when you need to receive the finished dish, and you do not need, as in Aurora, to calculate on your fingers how many hours you can "take a sample".

And simply, can you really count on cold objectivity and impartiality - ask the owners of Dex which model they recommend - Dex or Aurora. The answer is obvious. But 50 or 60 - you can judge for yourself how much the new functions of the 60th model will be in demand.
Erzulie, the choice is made! Congratulations already! I think parents will appreciate the convenient device! And you will help them to master it!
Erzulie

I make yoghurts with Vivo starter cultures in a regular yogurt maker, but through a thermostat adapter. I use homemade, or rather, farm milk (I must boil it) or ordinary pasteurized milk (I don’t boil it). Vivov's (and other) starters have different recommended temperatures for cooking, say, from 36 degrees, so in the multi (with the declared 40), problems may arise with the preparation of some. It is worth trying the ferment Yogurt from Vivo, where exactly 40 degrees will be what you need. There is a section on yogurt-yogurt makers https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&board=479.0, you can find sooo much useful information and temka on yogurt https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=2389.0
Owners of Dex 60 and Brother Brand have repeatedly made cool yogurt in a cartoon, the main thing is not to let it stand, heats the cartoon actively, yogurt quickly discards whey for many.

But I thought - I'll make yogurt tomorrow in a cartoon, in fact, what the function is completely "idle".

In my opinion, the slightly convex bottom of the bowl does not manifest itself in any way in the finished baked goods, no noticeable "crater" or "sagging" is visible - see the photos of the baked goods in Dex. I have "wishes" for a bowl of a different kind - I would like the shape to be more pronounced-cylindrical - the walls of the bowl, "meeting" the bottom, form a rounding, as in a kettle and the baking has a "barrel" shape. Well, if you really want to cling to something, in fact, Dex's cup is very nice, and the shape features are quite forgivable.

Here I tried Dex 60. What can I tell you - it's a miracle! If suddenly someone has a choice - do not think, take 60! Porridge does not boil in milk porridge! At all! The regime is thought out there, 100 degrees is never recruited, 98 is considered to boil, as a result, all usually running cereals have never escaped from me))) But you need to take this into account and add the cooking time to the usual. The lid is removable, it is much more convenient to wash. A mode that heats up to 40 degrees, I think to teach my husband to use to warm up expressed milk when I need to leave and no special heaters will be needed. The steamer will now steam more correctly - the time starts from the moment the water boils. Since I am on a diet, I am not particularly overclocked in cooking yet, but a small number of tested modes pleases and pleases and pleases Well, for yogurt, I am not yet ripe to use a cartoon, the yogurt maker can handle it, I think how much 40-degree mode will go for proofing the dough. In the frying mode, I did not find any special differences from the 50-ki, the buckwheat mode cooked buckwheat in the same way as the 50-ka in the rice-spaghetti mode, the indication of the cooking stage, in principle, is not particularly needed, so, a psychological trick to calm the impatient. There is one thing, but it squeaks much quieter, in the next room I don’t hear when the cooking was over, well, the sadness with the heating indication in the clock, so I knew for sure that, for example, noodles (which I cooked in the 50s by boiling and at 60 ke in steaming mode) costs the allotted 10 minutes in a hot saucepan (the cooking algorithm is to boil for 10 minutes, 10 minutes in a hot saucepan) and then she squeaked quietly, and still did not show how much he was already heating

irrational and what kind of running porridge do you usually cook? who don't run now

dairy rice, millet and oatmeal usually run (though on the water), and if the rice ran twice on the third, then the oatmeal in the 50s arranged such a deluge on stewing that half was spilled on the table. Today I made it for the second time in 60 in the mode of milk porridge - and the lid was only a little splattered. I prepare it by pouring water up to mark 4, but on the water and the ratio of water to porridge I have more in the direction of water.
TyominaAlyona
Tochechka, cool curd charlotte. Great, that big, enough to enjoy everything!

Made yoghurt in a classic on Activia. I did not cook in the multi bowl itself, poured water, silicone on the bottom, then a bowl for cottage cheese (deep and high bowl). An hour later I measured the temperature: water in a multitude of 42 degrees, yogurt - 40 degrees. 2 hours after the start, put it in the refrigerator. In appearance, everything is fine.

Often I cook dairy (with the addition of water) millet, rice porridge. On the advice of the IRR, she always began to pour boiling water over cereals (not only millet). They don't spit and don't run away. All OK.

Please tell us in more detail how you make cottage cheese (temperature, time).
So far, I have done only once: first I began to heat it manually, at 80 degrees, then switched to 100, the curd quickly disappeared, immediately turned it off and threw it back. It turned out to be very tender, but I suspect that it was possible to hold the fermented milk on the yogurt mode a little longer, I kept it for only three hours. In any case, I am very satisfied with the curd, but next time I will try to cook it on milk porridge, maybe its mode will be more optimal.
Yes, I must clarify that I have Brand 37501, but after all, her modes with Dex are identical, as I understand it.
mamba
Quote: Sasha

Mamba, thanks for the answer. I'm thinking, and if the cottage cheese is heated in manual mode at 60 degrees. Will it work, or turn on 80 degrees, and the time is?
I'm afraid 60 degrees. it will not be enough, even at 80 I did not curl fully until I warmed it up harder. Maybe I just didn't have enough patience. And the degree of fermentation can also play a role: it was fermented with homemade yogurt, there was no dense clot yet. Need to try. It's never too late to switch to a higher one, I think.
And it also seems to me that this is not a process that can be left to chance, here you have to control all the time, because the initial ones will always be different: the amount of fermented milk, the degree of its maturity ...
But even the fact that having fresh milk you can quickly ferment it and already today get the coveted cottage cheese, and even warming up uniformity, which guarantees a gentle, undigested cottage cheese ... It seems to me that it makes sense to freeze a little.

I'm not a great expert. But I got milk porridge 2 times. millet and millet + rice. Made with a recipe from a book.

Pour boiling water over 1 m / glass of cereal. Drain. Pour cereals with 2 m / glasses of water + 3 m / glass of milk. Milk porridge for 50 min. There remains a little "free" milk, but if you leave it on the heating or darken a little more, it will not be there. Good luck with porridge!

I get only pleasure so far: yesterday I cooked a chicken, fried it, and then simmered it for 4 hours.Class and she was waiting for us from work warm. This is what I dreamed about :)

They brought everything to me too, all two beauties, I had already unpacked my own, put in it chicken thighs in sauce with honey. Let's see what happens, according to the recipe, you must first fry, then pour the sauce and put on the rice mode, if you need the sauce to be thicker (I need%) well, or to stew, if necessary, to thin

This cute dex-60, just handsome, also hums when you switch buttons
Erzulie
Tell me, how do you cook in it, just select a mode, press start? Well, okay, put everything inside? In the rice mode when heating, that is, after five minutes, she began to emit her trills and gave an E3 error. There was a short circuit of something, I called the store, they said to check the second one, and if anything, tomorrow the driver will come to change them. Has anyone had this error?
With a sinking heart, I turned on the second one just on the stewing mode (chicken in sauce). I'm waiting ... somehow already scary.

It's so insulting, I thought to give it to my mother this weekend, without waiting for NG.

Yes, a very simple recipe. Did you bake for 1 hour and 40 minutes too?
TyominaAlyona
Erzulie, excellent, of course, on "you" dearer and more natural.
Yeah, since there is buckwheat, so that we do not repeat the porridge with porridge, we do potatoes in the Rice mode. Cut the peeled potatoes into large pieces, sprinkle with your favorite spices, a little water and plant on the bottom of the bowl. oils. We spread the washed potatoes on the bottom in one layer. (the potatoes do not "float" in the water, but just look out of it very noticeably) Turn the Rice mode until cooked. It is better not to look under the lid in the process, since the program may get lost a little and it will take a little longer to cook. You will get a delicious potato with a baked crust. Sprinkle with herbs and have an alternative to buckwheat and the tested mode Fig.
Mannichek is the most common for a glass of semolina, flour and sour milk is always excellent. And even with a frozen berry - beauty! And I will support Julia V, Angela Medovichek never let you down!

No one will fix a faulty Dexik - this is a technique with a "replacement" guarantee, within 2 years they simply change it to a new cartoon.

I baked a cake today, I wanted the cream ready to try. Everything is fine.
