And also banosh Galinkin-Malinkin is a pleasure to cook or a type of hominy porridge. Moldova, I hope, does not shower me with slippers. I know that it is necessary to cook in a cauldron, etc., but in a milk cooker it is easier. And HP can be regretted. For almost a week now, I have firmly refused my family to cook banosh. She fed me, however, for the holidays.

I ordered a PS-257 bread maker in an internet store, and Teskom's milk cooker will be delivered in 4 hours ...

I took the milk cooker bought in the summer from my mother for temporary use and finally cooked the custard in the milk cooker - bliss! Now we urgently need to look for a place for it in the kitchen and additional money to buy for ourselves!

girls, who are from Kiev, tell me where the shops of Bergner are located, preferably if there is near the Vokzalnaya metro station or in the Golosievsky district, the son is going home, I want to order a milk cooker for him.

Hello! I have been reading this site for a long time and now I decided to also throw my pretty penny in this thread.
We have been using the milk cooker since the distant 80s of the last millennium. Therefore, I want to share my habits.
1. There is no need to wait for the water in the milk cooker to boil and then add the cereal. I immediately wash the cereal, pour water into the spout, put the cereal and fill it with water. Everything! I do not make any further presence and monitoring of her work. It is enough just to listen to the whistle so that the milk cooker does not burn out without water. Bratella once got carried away with the computer and burned one saucepan. I never salt porridge, but add sugar to ready-made porridge. This method applies to all cereals except semolina. I stir the liquid porridge a couple of times.
2. You can cook in a milk cooker not only porridge, but also soups. In the early 2000s, when we had not yet heard of multicooker, the milk cooker successfully replaced it for me and saved a lot of time. I also filled in all the ingredients and they were cooked unattended, and the soups turned out to be very tasty.
Only, if the pan is aluminum, then porridge and soups (if of course there are any) must be poured (transferred) into another container.
So good luck, I hope my penny will help you save time and get delicious food.

Thank you!!!! While hands have not yet reached this miracle Milk cooker - cook in a water bath

here she is, my beauty. Now she threw in her third bread in a row (do all novice bakers count their bread?) and finally sat down to read recipes for a milk cooker. Interested in the custard recipe .... OOOOO !!!! What a husband I have a sweet tooth ...
if I don’t find the recipe for the cream now, I’ll ask you to poke your finger, don’t blame me
Another difficulty is the measurement of the amount of water between the walls ... Maybe someone has the same Tescom, and you will tell me how many ml to put in there ...

2.5 portions fit into my 2-liter one calmly.

And today I had my first "baptism of fire" I poured 600 ml of water - they brought me Teskom's saucepan from an Internet store, and no instructions were attached to it
So, of course, there was a lot of water - it began to spit on the stove under the whistle of the whistle ... I cooked rice porridge, the ratio is 1 to 2. For a cup of rice, 2 cups of milk .... the next time you need more milk, the porridge turned out to be rather dry ..
While the porridge was cooking, I was jumping around the pan, it seemed to me that there was no water left in the tank ... I didn't find the syringe ... I don't have a watering can ... I adjusted a straw - I took it from a glass, and there - into the hole under whistle
I liked the fact that there really is no need to interfere with the porridge, and it turned out to be homogeneous Well, everything else will come with experience
eva-kor
There is no need to be afraid if water is poured out of the whistle. It's just that after boiling water, if you have a gas stove, turn off the gas, with an electric stove, set a lower value and then the water does not boil so intensively and does not pour out of the whistle, so there is no need to add it. But you don't need to take out the whistle. If you leave and do not hear the end of the whistle, then you can easily lose your assistant. As I wrote above, my brother burned one pot in this way. If you need to add water, then just take a teaspoon, put it in a spout, pour water into a small container (a glass juice bottle is best) and tilt the spoon at a slight angle, add water in a small stream. It is even easier to top up from a regular porcelain teapot with a spout. You need to top up with hot water so that the boiling does not stop. Yes, and pouring initially, to speed up the boiling process, is also better with hot water from the tap.

my electric stove is stupid, and I can't change the temperature quickly.I tried to unscrew the whistle, but still the whistle is unreal - for the whole apartment ...

Today I saw on TV a piece of a milk cooker advertisement. From my laughter, the cat flew out of the kitchen with fright. It turns out that the whistle announces the readiness of milk and cereals!
matroskin_kot
Just yesterday my daughter cooked porridge in a milk cooker for a little girl. Well, that a lot of water was poured, it's clear, I was afraid of underfilling. I had to put a mold for julienne under the spitting milk cooker - water dripped there. The whistle, either zealously closed it, or it jammed by itself, I really wanted to take it off, so I shouted, it didn't work out, the fire was reduced to a minimum, it whistles all the same, this is the first time, apparently, there was too much water ... My unfortunate cook covered him with a rag on top - and the shob did not whistle, well, I stood there until the end of the cooking - I ran away so as not to laugh too much - well, I had to learn ... So it didn't work out "without hands" yesterday. ...
Elenka
And I unscrewed the whistle long ago, I played enough and got tired. You can hear how the water boils. I pour 150 ml of water into a 1.5-liter MV - it is enough to cook porridge over medium heat... If I cook something longer, then add water.

By the way., And for my baby's porridge (and not only for her) I have a Milk Cooker, this porridge pot is just perfect!
I got interested, looked at the information - in this saucepan, the main idea is a water bath, and a bonus is a whistle. And a water bath is the same double boiler !!!!
Maybe someone boils milk in a double boiler ??? Or my reasoning is nonsense ???
Elenka
A Nyutka, the milk cooker has its pluses. Cooking on gas, small volume can be cooked (narrow bottom). no teflon. and ... less hassle. (with a steamer, more telovidzheniya should be done early in the morning.) He even cooks semolina! By the way, she immediately unscrewed the whistle - so as not to whistle ...

Elenka69, thank you, the most valuable information! Now I will look out, if I see an inexpensive one - I will buy

I already have two milk cookers, 1 liter and 2 liters. Also advertised and supplied the godfather, now mom is next in line.

Girls who have a Berhof milk cooker, tell me on the website is it also positioned as a milk cooker? Or is it something else?
I now have the opportunity to buy Berhof dishes, but I cannot find it on their website
Buka
The crumb, the one that is liter - Vesta, without a lid, and a 2-liter Peterhoff with a lid. True, in Peterhof there was a very small spout for water, it is possible to fill it only with a syringe (without a needle). In Vestovskaya in general, beauty - put it under the stream of water from the tap for the filter and you're done.
Kume and mom bought a 1.5 liter Bergner with a lid, we have them here in every household kiosk.
DJ
Buka are they called "Milk cooker" or something else?
Buka
DJ some other sellers call it a milkman, another option is a saucepan for milk, but in general, yes, a milk cooker.
When I bought Vesta a liter for the very first time, I saw it in the window and asked to show it, so the seller did not understand what I mean well, that the second seller turned out to be more knowledgeable, and I also read a lecture to the second seller about the milk cooker.

I read the whole topic, I really wanted porridge, although I don’t really like it, and I don’t know how to cook them, because I thought I didn’t like porridge. And now I wanted to, apparently the age, tastes are changing. Yesterday I bought a 2 liter TimA milk cooker. Now I cooked millet porridge. Very tasty. I ate it with pleasure. And my husband was pleased.
rusja
When there was no light and it was impossible to turn on the slow cooker, I even made baked milk in the milk cooker, whistled for 4 hours, only in the process I had to top up the water once. But the milk turned out to be excellent - creamy: nyam: with a crust
Yulika
Tell me, pliz. How to cook baked milk in this wonderful saucepan?

And I gave mine to my mother after the purchase, and now I regret it - this is the very thing that is needed for cooking in a water bath. She doesn't seem to use it, but it's inconvenient to pick it up

Tell me, pliz. How to cook baked milk in this wonderful saucepan?

It's very simple, you just need to boil the milk on the stove for several hours, about 3-4 hours, until the milk acquires a characteristic caramel color and smell. But in this process there is one inconvenience, you will have to add water to the sides of the pan. Some people get used to it, they do it with a syringe, but I just drained the milk, poured it in the usual way, through a watering can water, and continued the boiling process

After reading the topic, I climbed the whole Internet and did not find anything, except from Tivishop for 300 UAH. Expensive. Then I saw in a local newspaper with ads they were selling used aluminum for 3 liters for 50 UAH. Confused by aluminum. And then I found on the market a milk cooker with a whistle for 2 liters from Bohmann for 110 UAH. I bought it. Truth without a cover. I walked through the rows and bought a glass lid separately, apparently from some kind of saucepan.
She boiled milk, nothing escaped, the whistle did not whistle, but rather hissed.
I saw on sale in the same market and Bergner 1.5 liters.like (smaller than Bohman), with a metal lid for 158 UAH.

I won't tell you right off the bat where to buy, as a rule, they catch your eye when they are not needed! I will keep in mind and give you a hint
Lala Toy
Thank you, but there is nothing to cook in yet.
Elenka
I almost never boiled milk in it - it is too small, milk is always bought more than its capacity. But to cook the cream in it is beauty!
And also milk porridge 2-3 times a day sometimes (children may want different things). I am very pleased! I have probably been cooking in it for a year now. And I found it by chance in a small dishware store not far from my house. By chance ... I couldn’t believe my eyes, I thought that I would look, drive around the city, ask.
So that, Lala Toy, maybe your saucepan is somewhere nearby.

Girls look here 🔗
Come at a ridiculous price. I bought the second one made of stainless steel for 250 rubles (1.5 liters). It is enough to cook porridge for a liter of milk. Now there is for 300r. Just drop by periodically
Lala Toy
Elenka69 thanks for the support . Today I will go to storm local shops, and a friend will look in Dmitrov. I need it to warm up milk for yogurt, and not boil it, and I also want to try to adapt it for soap making, so I need to take 2 at once.
Elena Bo I looked there yesterday, but everything is far away and not so cheap, but I will look there. Thank you!
Girls, and no one tried to cook potatoes in milk in a milk cooker?
Nagira
Lala Toy
Lena, it seems to me, is not very suitable for processes requiring a clear temperature range - such as yoghurt.
You will not be able to control the process without unnecessary body movements: for example, you need to heat the milk to 40 grams, heat it up and immediately pour it into another container - since the water in the milk cooker is much hotter and will continue to heat the milk even when you remove it from the stove ... And t water is not controlled, in my milk cooker for sure (there is nowhere to put a thermometer).
That is, when the process is limited to t frames, it is more convenient in the old fashioned way - it is easier to take out and set aside a saucepan from a saucepan with water ...

But for custards (charlotte, lemon curd ...), the milk cooker is simply irreplaceable, in addition to cereals, of course
kirch
Please tell me how to cook custard in a milk cooker, I have long wanted to cook a lemon Kurd and I also want to bake Creme De Parisienne according to the Qween recipe. These are the custard buns
Lala Toy
Nagira Ira, I probably wrote it incomprehensibly. I don’t want to make yoghurt in a milk cooker, I want to heat-pasteurize milk for yoghurt, I don’t need it to boil. In my stewpan, it either does NOT get warm or OVERheats, so I want it in a milk cooker.
makabusha
By the way, about the name of the milk cooker, I found it under the name "milk watchman"))))))))))))

I bought today a Bergner milk jug for 2 liters without a lid, it's good that the lid from the stewpan came up. I am very, very happy, and my family too, my men have already drank melted milk today. Even our captious grandmother said that this is real baked milk. The husband has now ordered a custard cream, like as a dessert. Can you advise what to do
kirch
Today I cooked a lemon curd in a milk cooker. I do not write the recipe, because it is on the site from two users. What a beauty it is. Cooking is very simple and quick, without bothering with a water bath. Thanks again to Admin for the saucepan.
