USYO! I went to rest, but how not to strain our dad, who was left alone at home, we must give him a task - buy a milk cooker, send it to our resort, how are we going to boil milk here!?! We need it urgently !!! And now a miracle, on the second day I bought it, we are waiting for when it will send it to us - it turns out to buy it - it's half the battle! ...
In general, I join your ranks! Glad to the point of madness. For 13 years, my mother and I have been talking about this saucepan, but all our hands did not reach to find it - so then we did not need it!
Elenka
Hurray, the ranks of milk producers are growing!
NatalyaN, congratulations on your purchase!

If your dad found a milk cooker in Kiev, can you tell me where?
Elenka

Elenka, I all want to ask - does the porridge taste different from other cooking methods? and how does the little son treat her?
Good attitude! (It was bought for him) Considering that now it is very hot in our country and no one has any appetite at all, and even more so for the little one, it opens its mouth like an obedient chick.

on m. Kharkovskaya, exit to McDonald's, Bergner's shop is located right away, the sign is huge, don't miss it.
And I didn’t even look there, just remember the sign when I entered this Temko.

Rice milk porridge with raisins.

Milk cooker - cooking in a water bath

After the whistle, it took 30 minutes to prepare. Everything worked out! Considering that the raisins dried up even during the reign of Tsar Peas! Fast and tasty!)))
Omela
But I missed the pudding!
Although nothing boded ...

The recipe from the Food site!
Milk cooker - cooking in a water bath

Then I put the saucepan in a bowl of water and left it overnight. In the morning the top fell out, and the bottom was damp and stuck. I had to pick it out with a spoon, create an architectural mess on the plate and say that it was intended! They believed it because it is really delicious !! The kids were smart for both cheeks!

Milk cooker - cooking in a water bath

Conclusions:
1. The prescription volume is very large. As much as possible, the saucepan should be filled by 1/2, or even 1/3. Then there is a chance to shake out successfully.

2. Remove immediately after cooling. Do not put in water !!!!

3. Beat eggs more thoroughly so that the form is more stable. I think it's better to beat the whites and yolks separately.

I will learn from mistakes! And you learn from mine!

Congratulations, on your porridge

The porridge looked like baked milk
Admin

Omela, what an interesting recipe
You will need to try to do

Try using a flexible plastic spatula for this pan, it helps very well to push the porridge and omelet away from the sides of the pan.

Tomorrow I will take a photo and show the spatula

The porridge looked like baked milk

There is such a thing! Maybe a little overexposed. I was afraid - after all, rice takes a long time to cook!
Omela
I didn't even think about the scapula! Although it stuck below me. How can you get there with a shovel? I think you still need a smaller portion and turn it over immediately after cooling.
Elenka
I cooked corn cereal porridge for a child. Here's something she was not very boiled. These flakes are badly boiled in my milk.
Today I repeated it differently.
Flakes (3 tbsp. L.) Poured into a milk cooker and poured some water. so that it was a little higher than the cereal and put it on the fire. As she whistled, I added 200 ml of milk. sahari cooked for about 10 minutes. Quite another matter!
The son ate with convenience.
Maybe someone will come in handy.

Elenka, thanks for the advice - let's take it to mind!

And I will share my experience of mastering the wonderful saucepan! I bought such a saucepan for the first time about 5 years ago, for some reason it seemed to me that I really needed it! I immediately imagined what could be done in it: boil milk and brew the grass (although there were no instructions for it) and the seller did not really understand what kind of saucepan it was, twisted and twisted it in my hands and muttered that you could boil milk, like it won't run away .... Well, I bought it anyway, because I never pass by interesting and new things (I've already taught my husband to pay attention to this). We arrived at this time to visit my mother, well, I decided to brag! I poured some water where it should be, poured milk and wait, or rather, we sit and wait: me, my mother, husband, children .... The whistle whistled .... waiting .... when it will boil ... we wait 20 minutes, 30 minutes. ... 1 hour ... we look - the milk has decreased in volume, but ... DOESN'T DRINK !!!!!! The first thought - the marriage was slipped !!!! When the milk began to look like baked milk (just make a fermented baked milk, all mine walked away from the stove with a sigh, and I poured out the milk, washed the saucepan ... Only when we arrived home, it dawned on me that it shouldn't have boiled !!! ! It's like a water bath!
Now I am happy to cook milk for yogurt in it (and, by the way, it does not smell and does not taste like boiled milk, which is very important!) And brew herbs when someone gets sick. It is very tasty to make linden tea in it, let it sweat for about 15 minutes after the whistle and leave it right in a saucepan, yummy! And now I also read about porridge that you can cook! I will certainly cook and report back in the near future! Thank you so much!
Elenka
Natusichka, interesting story! The first experience is almost similar to mine.
Thank you for reminding us about herbal brewing! The very saucepan for this!
I’m not happy about her. I'm using it to the fullest!

Admin, porridge, just a bunch!

Elenkathank you

I show my assistants to “lick the pots”.
The blades have such a good device, plasticity, softness that they are convenient to use in Teflon pots, pans, etc.
It is very convenient to rake out the liquid dough - lick the surface of the walls of the bowls at once and dry!
And it is convenient to work with these paddles in a milk cooker, when you need to pry the dish from the sides to the middle of the bottom - it turns out great !!!

For some reason, I avoided this topic for a long time, thinking: "What can be interesting in an ordinary milk cooker?" I have such a saucepan for many years stored in the closet, as if it had been retired when the children were young, it was my favorite in the kitchen, although I used it purely for boiling milk. And now I’m looking at what useful thing is not in demand, especially since all kinds of cereals have recently taken an important place in our diet. Thanks to Admin for such a useful topic!
Natusichka
Admin! Thank you very much, as soon as the post ends, I will definitely try all the porridges !!!!!! Although ... if you think about it, then you can make not only dairy products! And what are the blades !!!!!!!!! And I want these !!!!! Only I haven't seen them here ...

And the post has nothing to do with !!!

I really like porridge on the water. But for taste I add dried fruits, fresh berries and fruits from the freezer !!!

Look in the topic, there are options for oatmeal porridge on the water with strawberries and apricots - my favorites on the water! And I also add cherries from the freezer to the oatmeal (or I like 5 cereal flakes) - it's so delicious !!!!

No, it's a matter of taste, of course ...
Natusichka
Romochka !!! Thank you, thank you very much! I have already read it and will definitely prepare and report!
Elenka
Admin, and I have a shoulder blade such as you have yellow, only red. She is my favorite!
But such as "mermaid tail" would not hurt me either! Convenient probably ...
Aunt Besya
Ladies, with conversations about shoulder blades, I ask for a special topic about selikon in the kitchen !!!! 🔗

It turns out that I didn't look here for nothing, I have exactly the same saucepan, I only boiled milk in it. ... And it turns out to be multifunctional. I must try it too
svet_ik
Yes, indeed, in truth, live and learn! My mother-in-law gave me such a saucepan a few years ago. I just boiled milk in it, and I turned off the gas as soon as the whistle began to buzz ... And here you can cook such an abundance in it !!! Thank you all for the wonderful recipes and tips! I really liked about brewing linden ... I would never even think about it ...
ICQ
I’ll go and confiscate a Sovdepovka milk cooker from my mother, it’s still idle for 10 years, and we also only boiled milk in it, when we bought draft milk ... and it’s how much it can cook!

Admin, I did Lemon oil in the biscuit filling (as promised).

Milk cooker - cooking in a water bath

This "butter" is very similar to lemon curd, only the zest in it was not enough for me, so I smeared the cakes with lemon jam-jelly.
It turned out very fragrant and not dry, the biscuit did not soak with syrup.
I will use such a layer-Kurd with butter in pies, biscuits

I also realized that this saucepan is perfect for making custard.

And you can also add gelatin to the lemon oil, and we will get a layer of good consistency in biscuits, a full-fledged filling.

And it's also good to cook mousses in it, which you need to whip

I hope you will cook porridge in this pot much more often!
DJ
What an interesting Temka !!! Now I am fond of dairy products, and often cook something from milk. That also caught fire. Girls from Ukraine, please tell me where you bought it and how much?
Elenka
DJ, I bought a Bergner milk cooker for 90g with a volume of 1.5 liters, found in my area in a shop of various household goods.
Answer 53 in this thread.
DJ
Elenka69 Thank you! I saw the photo, I had to ask the price, it turns out not expensive! ... Will seek
Elenka
DJ, I think you will find it.
A good saucepan, almost as "independent" as a slow cooker. Itself cooks and calls. Didn't expect me to like it that much.
natasic2466
Today I saw a Bergner milk cooker 1.5 l, stainless steel, about 450 rubles. in Barça on st. Yesenin
Allegra
and I am now a milk cook!
I read all of you here and bought this one - Tima brands:

True, I found it here at 969.0 rubles, but this is nonsense compared to the world revolution

The porridges in this saucepan are really magical, in general, I'm happy as a herd of elephants

Allegra,
