Manna
KsyunyaThank you very much for your experiment with "Manual". So, I made the following conclusions:
1.the heat loss when opening the lid to measure the temperature for 1 minute is 0.6 ° C - this is a trifle, it is not 3 or 5 ° C
2. with 2 liters of water after 20-30 minutes the difference from the declared approx. 10 ° С - the same as in my measurements
3.with 1 liter of water after the same 20-30 minutes, the temperature is close to the declared one and corresponds to it in 1 hour - the same as in my measurements

But in general, the conclusion is this: for sous-vide, you need to hold the water for about an hour on heating before starting the countdown of the cooking time.

And on "Manual" at 95 ° C it is very realistic to cook porridge as well, no, it should be even faster, judging by your numbers, than at 01. Zhen, it's strange that you had porridge for more than an hour then cooked
Rick
Girls, but I have such a suspicion that it still depends on the amount of liquid. Since I had 3 milk cells when I measured it. Mannochka, there is nothing strange in the fact that my porridge was cooked for a long time, no, because the temperature fluctuations were about 5 grams.

Mannyun, done right.
Remember, in the instructions for the sous-vid, it is roughly written that you need to heat the water for 30 minutes, in my opinion (whoever we have it, remind, pliz). In Brand 701, you also need to warm water for 30-60 minutes, depending on the volume and temperature.
By the way, the 6051 pressure cooker at higher power also heats up 1 liter of water in 30-60 minutes. And it also has an error of 2-3 degrees.

I also measured the temperature. I removed the valve, inserted a thermometer into the hole in the lid, and closed the remaining holes with a cotton pad. Half a liter of water, this is approximately the volume of porridge that I cook. "Porridge" program. After 7 minutes from the start of the program, the temperature was 104.5 grams. Manual program 95 gr. After 7 minutes from the start of the program, the temperature was 99 degrees and was kept either this way, or 98 for 40 minutes. There were no jumps. I just don't understand why in the morning the temperature jumped so

Half a liter of water <...> the temperature was 104.5 grams.
Zhenechka, something I do not understand these numbers. Was the water salty? How can ordinary water at normal atmospheric pressure have a temperature of 104.5 ° C?
Rick
Plain tap water. Mannochka, I, of course, am not strong in this, maybe I’ll ask stupidity, but what, the water above 100 degrees cannot heat up?
Manna
Quote: Rick
water above 100 degrees can not heat up?
Under normal pressure, no, with excess (in a pressure cooker, below ocean level - in depressions, lowlands) it can. But something seems to me that you should check your thermometer
Rick
I put two thermometers side by side, not this time, but before. They showed exactly the same temperature.
I will not argue. I wrote that I showed the thermometer. And my porridge is running away, it's a fact.
You yourself can check what the thermometer shows. Put, for example, on PP 105 gr.
Rick
The only thing I can assume is that the probe could rest against the bottom of the bowl, I even put a small cloth in this place so as not to scratch the bowl.
Manna
Zhenechka, I'm sorry, I didn't measure it, I just decided to observe the process of boiling water on the "Kasha".
0.5 liters of water raged very strongly for 7-9 minutes.
1 liter of water - light bubbles along the bottom, and several of them rose to the surface.
Conclusion: 0.5l of porridge will run only on milk, but 1l will not think about it.
Rick
In the first 701st I cooked porridge from 1 liter of milk. Pure rice. She ran away.

I found it.

Zhenechka, well, I don't know what to say. In my copy there was no strong boil of 1 liter of water, there was not even boiling as such.

Ksyusha, and you can measure the temperature in your copy on "Kasha"? Your porridge was running too.
Rick
Mannochka, well what can you say ... I want to try to put a double boiler up. Maybe it will help Because I need porridge with a delay in the morning. And on "Manual" there is no delay

Evgenia, maybe not cook porridge in pure milk, but at least 2 parts of water, 3-4 parts of milk
Rick
Favorite, we do not like porridge diluted with water.

You try for an experiment (to check if it will run away, it will not run away). Mine didn't notice the difference, especially after adding oil

Made Caramelized Cottage Cheese Casserole with apples. It turned out well. Keeps the shape, delicate, fluffy, tasty.
I baked for 1 hour, the bottom was fried more than I would like. I will redo it with a reduced time and at the same time increase the number of apples, draw up a recipe.

Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701
I'm still working on this casserole. This time I came for advice
The point is as follows: cottage cheese and apples together are very tasty, but apples tend to release juice when baked, therefore, in order not to spoil the casserole with excess moisture, the apples are pre-caramelized / create a sweet crust, which theoretically will hold back the juice.
What we have in fact:
1 approach The photo above is from the quote. A bowl of MV is greased with butter, sprinkled with brown sugar, apples without skin and core are placed on top. Baking for 10 minutes, then pouring the curd mass, baking for 1 hour. Result: baked, tender, beautiful sides, toasted bottom.
Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701
2 approach A bowl of MV is greased with butter, apples with peels with spices are fried on Fry 1 (vegetables) for 15 minutes, brown sugar is added 5 minutes before the end of the program. At the end of the program, pour in the curd mass, baking for 45 minutes. Result: baked, tender, beautiful sides, toasted bottom.
Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701 Multicooker Brand 701

3 approach Assuming that brown sugar may be too dark at the bottom, I replace it with white. A bowl of MV is greased with butter, sprinkled with white sugar, apples without a peel and core are stacked (I liked it more without a skin), a little more white sugar on top. Baking for 10 minutes, then pouring the curd mass, baking for 45 minutes. Result: baked, tender, beautiful sides, toasted bottom.

Delicious infection)))) but I also want the bottom of the human. What to do? What to change? Maybe well, he nafig this caramelization? Just put apples, curd mass on top and on baked goods?
Manna
Yes Yes, Anyut, I also thought that maybe try it without caramelization. Or put sugar under the apples, but do not caramelize them first - maybe you will just be able to win those 10 minutes of blush?

We compared the sizes of phillips and redmond bowls ...
They are lower ... At Phillips the height to the side is 10.4 cm, at Redmond - 10 cm.
They differ in girth under the side: phillips - 60.6 cm, redmond - 61.5 cm

Phillips and redmond bowls in 701 will just hover over the heating element

not everyone gets porridge
As I understand it, porridge is obtained from those who dilute milk with water. If you like such porridge, then this is the way out. Or cook them on the Manual at 95 ° C.
Phillips has a problem with rice not in all specimens, but the risk is great (apparently, the percentage of rejects turned out to be large).
And the size of the bowl is from 701 higher and wider at the bottom.

Buckwheat on Krupa 1 (express) mode

In the book of recipes for CF, I stopped at the recipe "Buckwheat with mushrooms". Considering that the mushrooms are pre-fried and therefore there is not much moisture from them, then the ratio of buckwheat and water for myself took from there (I just make buckwheat for a side dish). Total: the ratio of buckwheat and water 1: 1, mode Krupa 1 (express) and heating.
After the beep, I opened the lid and added butter. The porridge was infused for 15-20 minutes. The result is delicious, but undercooked. A large number of cores did not open. And the groats fried a little more, apparently again because of the small amount of water

Buckwheat turned out to be wonderful, crumbly. Cooked 2 multi-glasses of cereal. She poured water into the bowl up to the 0.5 mark on the right scale (this is 1: 2). Groats mode 1 (express), this mode is automatic (cooking time does not show). Nothing stuck to the bowl.

Spelled (spelled) in Kasha mode

Recently, I have increasingly come across spelled or spelled flour in different recipes. Therefore, when I saw her in the supermarket, I could not resist and bought
I took Pokhlebkina's recommendations on how to cook it, counted it at 1 m / s (2 servings). In the end it turned out
Spelled 1 m / s (130 g)
Kefir 350 g
Cold boiled water 80 ml
Milk + water 1: 1 350 ml
Butter 30 g
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tsp

Soak the spelled in kefir (Pokhlebkin has curdled milk) and boiled cold water for 4-6 hours (I have for the night), rinse well, pour milk or milk with water. Porridge mode for 50 minutes and heating for 1 hour. After the beep to switch to heating, I added oil and salt, after trying it after a while, I decided to add sugar. There are traces of active boiling on the MV bowl and the lid, nothing escaped through the valve

Girls, can anyone tell me, I am the owner of multi 37501, you can say I love her dearly. Now the question arose about a gift for mom, I can't decide whether to look for 37501 or is it better to buy a new 701? My fears are that in 701, for example, there will be the same problem as in 502 (error E3), and the saucepan in 701 is not very good. Maybe someone will share, I will be grateful :)
Zinfandel
I think that you will not find 37501. There is no E3 problem in 701. What displacement do you need? 701 three liters. Of the three-liter "on the brain" I see no alternative. I stocked up with cups, 790 rubles, minus five percent, if you register. Unfortunately, the girls have not yet been able to find the best quality bowls from other manufacturers.
Lennochek
Displacement is not very important, just 37501 I even have two in use, I'm happy. And this new one, I read the comments, there are some mistakes, troubles with porridge, for my mother I would like everything to be simpler and without the SC. Can anyone have 37501 and can compare?
Manna
701 loses a lot to 37501 in the bowl. But the possibilities of the modes are wider. Error E1 was only once and was eliminated in Brand's service in one day. Milk porridges do not run for everyone, but there are those who do.

Milk porridge runs in it.
Lennochek
Thanks everyone for the answers! 37501 and the truth is nowhere to be found: (And if you compare 502 and 701? Is the bowl better in 502? Porridge does not run?
Manna
Lennochek, You would go to the topic about 502 and ask the girls about this, how do the porridge from 502 A for the control of 502 and 701 are similar, only 701 has fermented milk modes that are different from those of 502, but the difference is not fundamental.

Although ... no, the 701 still has a variety in Fry mode (if that's important).
Lennochek
Thank you all for your help, I will choose :)
MariV
The bowl in 502 is definitely better than in 701. I don’t know about porridge, I didn’t cook it, but today I cooked peas - it got under the lid.
RepeShock

Milk porridges do not run to 502, they do not even gather. Both in pure milk and in milk with water.
Zinfandel
Porridge in 701 should be cooked on Multipovar 95 degrees, then the quantity and quality of cereals and milk does not matter.
I send 701 to the dacha, because there is not such intensive exploitation and the bowls (I have three of them) will last longer.
