Svetlana, I just cooked pilaf today. On this slow cooker I made it for the first time. My first multi-cooker Panasonic, it has a pilaf program. The products are simply laid in layers, filled with water, a button is pressed and after an hour and a half the pilaf is ready.
Unfortunately, there is no such program in Polechka, but there are many others, and I tried to depict something similar with the help of Polechka.
I took the following products: 4 tbsp. l. sunflower. butter, 7 chicken drumsticks laid on the bottom of the bowl, 2 carrots (medium) grated on a coarse grater and lay in an even layer over the drumsticks, 1 large onion cut, as for soup, and lay in the next layer. Top layer - rice: Rinse 2 cups of rice thoroughly until light water. Rice was taken from the Kuban round-grain and long-grain steamed Indica Gold Mistral, 1 multi-glass each. Then, when everything is laid, add spices to taste (I took 1/2 tsp. Cumin and barberry), 1 tsp. salt and pour 4 multi-glasses of water over everything. Now about the modes. I turned on the program "groats" twice, because the water did not have time to evaporate at one time. Then I switched on the "baking" mode for 20 minutes. The total cooking time is 1 hour 10 minutes. It turned out very tasty, almost like on Panasonic. Loose rice, grain to grain. This is how my experiment ended. Maybe someone will come in handy, girls.

the first time I come across such an interesting recipe, tell me why and what does it taste like? And yet the same varieties are boiled at different times, the Kuban is not boiled?
photo would!

Ksyushik555 , and share the recipe? What mode, what time is it? my husband really wants to try homemade bread, but I, accordingly, - to please him ...
I have already laid out the bread recipe on page 16, but I will duplicate it again for you :) Recipe for bread for multi: Ingredients:

- flour: 3 cartoon glasses

- dry yeast: 1.5 tsp

- warm boiled water: 210 ml.

- salt: 1.5 tsp

- sugar: 1 tbsp. the spoon

- vegetable oil: 3 tbsp. spoons

Cooking white bread in a slow cooker:

Combine all ingredients and knead the dough thoroughly.

Put the multicooker on the "Heat" mode, and as soon as the bowl is warmed up, lightly dust it with flour and put the dough into it.

Close and turn off the multicooker.

Leave the dough in the bowl for an hour (the bowl is already warmed up and the dough will work well in a closed multicooker).

After an hour, turn on the "Bake" mode.

Cooking time - 60 minutes.

Then turn the bread over and leave on the Pastry for another 30 minutes.

True, its height depends on how correctly the dough is kneaded. I'm not okay with that, well, I don't know how to knead the dough correctly. So I get something like cakes. But mommy's dough rises remarkably and the bread turns out to be high

It's a pity, but I haven't mastered the photo yet. As for rice, I used to cook pilaf only in Kuban round grain, but when I learned about the healthier steamed rice, I began to do half and half. Parboiled rice itself does not have a very pleasant aftertaste, so you have to add more delicious Kuban round grain. Both cereals get along well in this dish and look quite uniform.
koschka
And my pilaf on gas turned out to be porridge: the dishes were not thick enough. But in the CF it turns out. but I take long grain parboiled rice. I use round only for cereals
koschka
For pilaf, I use the modes as in the recipe book: "frying" 120-140C 15min, "cereal" 25min., "Heating" 15min.
Sveta Nguyen
for pilaf I take long steamed rice, rinse it - cook it like in a book - super.
In general, round rice is used for cereals - there is a lot of gluten, and the Uzbeks have a different kind of rice, although it is round, my husband brings two rice from Vietnam, one is boiled and the other rice to the rice. everything depends on the grade. so I cook porridge from our round and from long pilaf

I agree with you Sveta. Classically, all this is true. But for my fastidious family I have to "trick", so I mix these two varieties.

Nobody seems to have written about Sweet and Sour Chicken from a recipe book. I tried it yesterday. Nothing, you know, it happened. I did everything in the same way as in the recipe. Only improvisation was not without. I was not satisfied that most of the pan is empty, but a side dish is needed !!!! So I decided to put potatoes with onions and carrots on top of this chicken in sauce. Also put on "baking". Everything turned out great !!! Toka, girls, 50 min. - a bit too much: the lower part of the chicken is slightly (not critical) burnt. But I realized: now it will be necessary to check the top potatoes of the mines. after 40. And turn it off if it is ready. And then I put everything in an ordinary saucepan, the potatoes "rolled" in the sauce - and there is no need to water anything before serving. The main thing - everyone liked it !!!! Before that I got used to cooking potatoes on "baking". And then I decided to combine 2 in 1 - I regretted my time.

Girls, who tried to bake on a multi-cook? Or do some other dishes on it. But for me this is still an unused function! And I want to try. I've read somewhere that the multi-cooker takes less time to prepare food than regular programs.

I now understand (underlined) why I liked cooking semolina so much on a multi-cooker. 100C 10 minutes on a multi-cooker - the milk boils pretty quickly (I don't go away - I look - and both with a closed lid, then I determine boiling by sounds, and with an open one - it's clear here), add semolina, stirring. When everything boils and boils, I stir it so that it doesn't "spit" much. Moreover, the countdown on the multi-cook begins only when the set temperature is reached, i.e. when 100C is reached, the milk is actively boiling, the countdown only appears on the screen, before that it runs in a square.
After 2-3 minutes of active boiling of milk, I turn on the heating, closing the lid, and go on business in 20 minutes porridge och. tasty, savory

somewhere earlier, they also wrote about milk porridge that if it was needed in the morning, then they put it on a multi-cooker with a delay.
Zima
I also really like the multi-cook. He can replace all other programs for me.
The only thing I miss is the beep when the temperature is reached and the time starts counting down. Without this, I have to look, but I do not stand over it, milk does not escape at 100C - it has been tested several times already.

0791,
You cook semolina porridge right according to Pokhlebkin, I also use the same technology - I really like the result!

Apparently, it depends on milk, or maybe on a specific multicooker, or maybe on something else, but I don't give a damn about this program.
I boiled it and made it melted, the lid was clean.

I hope to buy a culinary thermometer in January, I will measure the temperature in different modes ..

and if milk porridge, then it is soaked, boiled for a short time over high heat, and then languished for a long time, if my memory serves about 6 hours (this is according to Pokhlebkin). Once I cooked once, in a slow cooker it's a nice thing - you can put languor overnight ...

tell me, please, and if on the "milk porridge" mode, cook rice in the evening, and leave it on heating until morning, will it be "languor" or will it dry up all over there? ..

I just don't spit on oatmeal and multi-cook 100C modes, this is when I experimented with the milk porridge mode - I had to wash the valve several times ..
and many different ways of eating will adapt, someone greases the walls of the saucepan with oil, there are other ways. But, it was interesting to test the programs without various tricks in order to understand how this device works ..
Lёlka,

You are confusing the "Heating" program, which is used to heat up a cold dish, it lasts 20 minutes, and the "Heating" function, which turns on automatically after almost all programs (with the exception of Yogurt, Milk porridge, Steam cooking, and maybe some other I have not used all the programs yet) and lasts, if not forcibly disabled, 24 hours.

dimple,
you can cook the porridge and leave it on the heat until morning (some do this if there is no suitable automatic program for milk porridge in the multicooker), just do not use the "Milk porridge" mode, many of them run out of milk through the valve in this mode, it is better to use the Oatmeal mode.In addition, after the Milk Porridge program (at least in my appliance), the heating does not turn on, but after the Oatmeal it turns on.
BUT personally, I don't cook like that, these are my cockroaches. I try not to leave any READY dish heated up for a long time, I believe that the taste and vitamin qualities of the dish suffer from excessive heat treatment. And why, if in our device you can put on a delay on a multi-cook?
If you nevertheless decide to try this option, then try not to cook the porridge, that is, set the program for 10-15 minutes, and overnight it should reach the desired condition on Heating.
Still, "languor" is when a product is cooked for a long time at a low (about 80C) temperature, and the finished dish does not melt.
As for meat, I stew it in a slow cooker without adding liquid. Depending on the quality of the meat, about 2-3 hours. I cut an onion, or 2, put it on the bottom, then I salt the meat, cut into pieces, put a little bit of spices on the Stew program. It turns out meat in its own juice. If the meat is very lean, I can add a drop of oil. A dietary but delicious meal with no hassle. If it is too "dietary" for you, you can pre-fry on the "Fry" program 140C.

Hello! All with the come! I bought this slow cooker today! I read the forum and was upset, I need it mainly for cooking cereals and soups for a child, but they write that the milk runs away. Please tell me how best to cook milk porridge for a five-minute period (rice, millet, multi-grain flakes) I usually cook these every morning, so I bought a slow cooker so as not to stand at the stove and also tell me how to boil milk so as not to stand and not wait, I tried pasta on the boiling, a signal is emitted, but when the lid is lifted, the milk does not boil (did not understand whether it is boiling or not)? I really don't know what to do now
Zima
Hard,
Welcome!
in vain upset, this is a very good slow cooker. There are a bunch of programs, and if not enough, feel free to use the Multi-cooker, you can cook anything on it, since there is a large run-up in temperatures and cooking times.
Milk porridge can be cooked in the Oatmeal mode, the cooking time on this program can be set from 10 minutes to an hour, just 10 minutes will be enough for you for such a porridge, the countdown starts after the milk boils, I think there is no point in putting the porridge - five minutes for a delay, it cook very quickly.
I also boil milk on this program or on Multipovar 100C.

in general it is very strange, even with the Soup program, some people prefer to cook soup on Stew, they like it more. In general, yes, in our "twig" someone already wrote that the soup ran away during Stewing - probably a feature of our model. Logically, "Extinguishing" should be a delicate program. On this program, I boiled meat for salads before NG - nothing escaped me.
I didn't like the fact that the water boils for a long time in Soup, I set the program for an hour, so the water was heated to a boil for half an hour.
If you cook soup on a multi-cooker, then 100C will be fine.

And yet, such a moment. Monitor the fluid level. I do not lay food, above the beginning of the rivets from the handles (especially if it is a liquid), but for good reasons, it is generally not necessary above the last line. For some reason, the manufacturer does not warn about this in the instructions for our cartoon. And cereals from which there is a lot of foam, for example, rice, must be washed very carefully

Today I tried to make baked milk. I poured 2.5 liters, put it on the Quenching program for 8 hours and walked away. After a while, I approached, I looked - my cartoon poked. And most importantly, I looked inside - everything is quiet, no boiling. It is not clear. After eight o'clock I looked in - no warbler, as they write, no. I also put it on an hour and plus two hours on the heating. It turned out beautifully, the chiffchaff is brown, but pa-a-ahnet Only now it's too late to wash my assistant, and she decided to leave the milk in the cartoon until morning. Girls, it's hard to disassemble it, who flushed the valve? Is the cover removable? ... And more: m. B. did anyone make baked milk on another program so they wouldn't spit?
Zima
I did it on a multi-cooker 100C for 3 hours 10 minutes, the milk became light cream color, it did not spit,
maybe if I held it longer it would have tasted better - I don't know, then I'll try it somehow - a lover of baked milk will come to us only in spring
it is easier to disassemble the valve: pull the far part of the valve towards you, and voila - the valve is in your hands, then turn the inside of the valve to the "open lock" position and take it out. Wash and assemble in reverse order.
The lid itself cannot be removed, only the inner part. The only thing that I do not like to wash the hole in the lid itself is the silicone gasket, it is all in "folds" .. well, maybe if your multicooker spat once, nothing, but I somehow had a fountain, I was so tired of cleaning ...
