Loose biscuits in a waffle iron Hearts

Coconut / butter * 135g *
Flour / s 100g
Potato starch 70g

Cooking method

  • * For oil, see the note.
  • I have such a coconut

  • Melt the butter and cool.
  • Beat eggs with sugar, salt and vanilla until whitening and increase in volume.
  • Pour in 1/2 part of sifted flour with starch and baking powder. Beat with a mixer at low speed.
  • Gradually pour in the melted cooled butter in portions, whisking the mass again at low speed until the butter is completely mixed. This business takes ~ 1.5-2 minutes.
  • Pour in cognac / vodka / rum, stir. Adding alcohol to me personally beats off the smell of eggs (which vanillin does not always cope with) and additionally loosens the dough.
  • Pour in the remaining flour mixture and mix gently from bottom to top (I do this with a fork).
  • The dough initially turns out to be fluid, but after 5 minutes it thickens, especially if sl / butter was used.
  • After kneading

  • I have a Cloer XXL waffle iron, large, I put 3-4 full tablespoons of dough, depending on the consistency of the dough, which depends on the amount of butter (see * in the note), enough for 2.5 bookmarks, the first ones are baked for 5-6 minutes , then 4-5 minutes, heating mode "3.5".

  • The dough can be like this (with less oil)

  • Or maybe so (with a lot of oil)

  • Finished cake, very soft when removed

  • It is better to immediately separate the hearts, while the cake is warm, after cooling, it becomes crumbly.

  • Again, depending on the consistency and amount of dough, cookies can be thinner and thicker (does not affect friability)

Note

It seems my long search for the optimal recipe for a waffle iron hearts is over. I do not like soft waffles-pancakes, and everything that I tried to bake in it, after cooling it became practically the same. Until the last moment she pleased me only with cakes for cakes. And then a miracle happened, I got what I wanted. These are not waffles, but hard biscuit crumbly cookies. When you remove the cake from the waffle iron, it is very soft, and after cooling it hardens and the texture becomes crumbly and remains the same after storage in a bag.
About starch, it is absolutely not felt, in any case, no one showed any displeasure with me.
Sugar can be increased or decreased depending on taste.
*About oil baked with coconut, and with cream, and with a mixture of both. The amount of oil increased and decreased, for me it turned out optimally 135g. I didn't notice the difference between coconut and butter cookies, well, b. with creamy a little softer. I baked even with 100g of coconut + 100g of butter, very tasty, tender, reminiscent of kurabie, but sooo fat, butter even stood out along the edges of the waffle iron.

win-tat, Tanya, are they still cookies? And if there is less oil, then the biscuit will work?
win-tat
Ol, yes biscuit crumbly biscuits, more butter - the biscuits are softer, less - it is drier.
In any case, the biscuit is obtained, but not soft, because of the starch and low height, it is crumbly.
Deer pussy
win-tat, Tan, thanks, I will also try like cookies, otherwise I have more biscuits in flowers
win-tat
Olenka, Thank you !

Tanya, what a clever girl you are! All your recipes are always so sensibly painted (and in detail!). The photos are very beautiful!
We love crumbly cookies. Pamper my own.
I'll bake it straight. I will report.
......
(Oh, these fish ...))))

Ritulya, Thank you !

We love crumbly cookies.
And we are like that, I bake it now all the time, we cannot eat everything.
And the fish, yes, they are everything, whatever you spice up, everything turns out great.
Trishka
Tanyusha, thanks for the wonderful cookies, I also want those that do not soften and remain crumbly!
What do you think in the Gf waffle iron, which is flip, will it turn out like this, will there be more thickness?
win-tat
Ksyusha, thanks, and it seems like you were!
I do not have a GF waffle iron, there is a Clathronic with cells, and there the cells are not so deep. But I think it should work in the GF. After all, the dough with starch, it is he who gives this friability.
By the way, we must also try to bake in cages.
Trishka
Tanya, I don’t remember that we are on you!
And I will definitely try cookies and!
win-tat
Ksyusha, our girl's memory.
In fact, I have already baked in Klatronic, later I will show the pictures. Now they are cooling down. Broke, crust on top, crumbly partitions, in the cavities - the most delicate cake, all together to taste, like kurabye, very tasty. I’ll wait until it’s completely cooled.

win-tat, Tatyan beautiful cookies! I'll try!
win-tat
Antonina, Thank you ! I think you will not be disappointed.

Ksyusha, these are the results. I kneaded the dough with raisins ~ 50 g, there are cavities here, I thought that they would be empty. It turned out 10 pieces.

Midnight lady
win-tat, thank you so much for the recipe !! Having read that they should be crumbly, I decided to bake them like waffles in a Redmond multi-baker. And this is what we need, just those we liked the most. I baked for 8 minutes. It turned out 9 waffles from the recipe dough.

Tanya, it's great that you gave a link to this recipe yesterday! I recently bought a First waffle iron (hearts) at a very attractive price, baked the waffles once, and pushed them into the far corner until better times (recipes). Your recipe is exactly what I wanted. Thank you very much!

Wow, Svetik, what gorgeous cookies turned out! So glad you liked it!
How much I suffered with these hearts, that I didn’t bake, it’s not that, I thought I wouldn’t find an ideal for myself.
And here everything came together, both taste and crunchiness.
Now the waffle iron will not stand idle either

win-tat, Tanya, try the recipe boom with coconut oil!
Thank you!

win-tat, Tanya, take my humble report! True, I reduced the starch to 30 g, compensated for the millet with flour.
Delicious, crumbly, in the form of small cookies, just great! For large waffles, add cream or fruit on top! I will definitely bake again! Thank you very much!

What a waffle! Olya, it turned out gorgeous, the color is so even, but with cream or fruit, it’s as your heart desires, and better all together, such goodness does not happen much.
Thanks for the beauty !

win-tat, Tanechka, brought me a thank you, like this! It got colder, I wanted something tasty for tea, baked flowers yesterday, tastier !!! I will have to try adding coconut flakes, we do not have such oil, baked on a spread. I really, really liked the recipe! Delicious, crispy! Thank you! I take away for eternal use!

Urrra, what flowers!
And what a thank you, I barely caught, catch the mutual!
Natasha, I am very, very glad that I liked the cookies, these are my favorites in such a waffle iron.
larissa
Tanya, brought tremendous gratitude for the wonderful waffle recipe
Finally, I found something that matches my ideas about waffles. And at the same time I rehabilitated my waffle iron, otherwise I wanted to throw it away, No photos, I can't insert
Thanks again
win-tat
larissa, I have no doubt that it turned out wonderful! It took a long time to get to this composition, and the first flower waffle iron was also abandoned, baked a bunch of recipes, but everything was not right, it turned out soft, like pancakes. I even began to doubt whether "my" recipe exists. Therefore, these waffle cookies are just a miracle for me, and now they are not only for me. Thank you for sharing your joy.
