First, the multicooker picks up the desired temperature for a specific program, only after that the countdown starts, and that's right ...

Good day! I agree with you, but in this case you need to set another time?
For example, I cooked a zucchini casserole according to the recipe (the time was specified as 60 minutes). Didn't understand then what time was indicated - real or multicooker (taking into account the time for heating + countdown)?
In total, I got only 30 minutes. (countdown), and in real life 40 minutes (10 for heating + 30 for cooking). And everything was perfectly prepared! What are 60 minutes?
zav-na
If all the liquid from the casserole has evaporated, then the cartoon will not continue to fry. She is smart.
And with a large amount of liquid, most likely some kind of sensor does not work and the countdown just did not start. It's the same for me.
Jenny_W
I do not know - this will remain a secret
I guess it's not about the liquid. Because the next day I just cooked stewed vegetables (the same zucchini), but instead of minced meat I used frozen mushrooms, which I stewed separately until the liquid evaporated.
Jenny_W
I have another question (maybe there was already an answer like this), answer again, pliz!

Yesterday I cooked milk porridge - 1 measuring cup of buckwheat for 1 liter of milk. According to the recipe, it was written that it is cooked for 1 hour on the Congee mode. And I read on the forum that the countdown will start 10 minutes before the end, and then the Heating mode will switch.
But my porridge was cooked for less than an hour, that is, the countdown began literally in 30 minutes.

The question is - how can you still determine how many minutes porridge is cooked? What does the cooking time depend on (maybe everything accelerated because I preheated the oil, that is, the temperature was sufficient)?

Please tell me how to stew vegetables in Toshiba?
zav-na
I stew in mixed rice and porridge, depending on which vegetables.

Please tell me how to stew vegetables in Toshiba?

I extinguished on the "Heating". Only, really, depending on what vegetables.
In an ordinary cauldron, I stewed vegetables in the following order: first onions, then carrots, cabbage (if salted, then cabbage gives juice and you don't need to add water), then potatoes, zucchini (you can add tomatoes), at the end I add greens (dill, parsley , green beans, etc.) and sour cream (or cream, mayonnaise).
In a slow cooker, I tried the same principle and everything worked out with a bang! All vegetables are stewed in their own juice.
And if, along with cream or sour cream, add beaten eggs and a little grated cheese and do not mix, then you will get melted cheese on top

Good day! Take to your ranks! There is a Moulinex with a pressure cooker function, I am very satisfied !!! One colossal minus - the seal on the lid smelled like onions, garlic, etc., and I really want morning porridge (and so that it doesn't smell), well, it's big. Now there is little Tosha and delicious cereals in the morning!
taty327
Hello everybody! The porridge is super! At night I threw everything down, set the timer for 4 hours and went to bed. It is heated until the morning. In the morning I added oil, mixed it and ...
Jasmine rice for rice in Thai is now only in Toshechka I cook on mixed rice 1: 1, great, what you need !!! Yesterday I cooked bulgur with vegetables, it also turned out great, and also 1: 1, so as not to stick together. In general, I did not regret a bit that I had bought Tosha, although initially it was aimed at little Panasonic, exclusively for cereals, and I stumbled upon Tosha by accident during the search
Good girl, our cartoon!

Good day to all!
Take it into your ranks I bought this wonderful rice cooker, yes, yes, exactly rice cooker, and then everything else.

At first, on the first day, as I had read everything, they took doubts, it's a pity that I didn't take Panas or Stadler, but ... after several successful preparations and watching a Thai video on YouTube (if someone hasn't seen :)
all doubts vanished.

Sensory programs are wonderful when done right. On the MixedRice program, literally 2 hours ago, a magnificent cucumaria staple was prepared.
Yesterday we stewed Nerka in Baking mode for 40 minutes, such juicy and tender fish have never been tasted

But it has not yet come to baking and pilaf!

Tell me, has anyone figured out the Boiling Eggs program? Here in June one specialist in oriental cuisine appeared, killed with intellect and disappeared. Maybe someone else understood something? I think it should be something like poached eggs.
And further. Very dumb, I guess, but I also don't understand how to use the delayed start. The instruction is absolutely incomprehensible. Anyone! explain where to click?
Thanks in advance everyone

You can shower me with slippers, but I'm just wondering what kind of porridge is there? Semolina porridge for nutritional value in general somewhere in the end "weaves", it turns out, it is not recommended to give it to children under one year old (read on the Internet, I do not give links on purpose). In your case, cereal all night long swells in milk, then hour cooked in a cartoon, and what is there that remains valuable and nutritious? I have, without false modesty, an excellent semolina porridge on the stove, even the children ask, "let it be better for dad to cook, mom, take a rest", and I don't have to scrapped in the morning to carve out 3 minutes to cook normal porridge.
P.S. But let's agree right away: this is a forum where everyone has the right to their opinion, let's live together!
Hello everyone. Porridge in three minutes? Porridge, and semolina, including, should be cooked for less than half an hour in water at a very slow boil, and only at the end of cooking milk is added (since cereals are not boiled in milk), salt, sugar, butter, brought to the desired the liquid level is boiled on and off. And then the porridge is USEFUL. Cooked in three minutes, cereal is not absorbed by the body. Reception of soaking cereals before cooking is from the same opera about the benefits for the body. This is the opinion of the biochemist. Therefore, cooking porridge in a multitude increases both taste and nutritional value. Cool car!

Hello, I do not know if the owners of Toshiba still visit this topic, but still I really want to clarify one point.
Often it is required to throw food into a bowl that has already been preheated to the desired condition ... so in this regard, the question is - is it possible to heat a multicooker with an empty bowl?
Yabloko
I heat up.

Hello members of the forum. I recently bought this miracle. I figured out more or less how to use it in the main cooking modes, but one question remained. If you repeatedly press the timer button, then some 2 modes are switched, the time and the inscriptions in hieroglyphs in the upper part of the display change. As I understand it, the first of these times is the cooking time. Actually the question - what does the second time mean?
zav-na
I was not too lazy, I found the answer of the representative of the company in this thread:

Dear users!

Explaining about the Timer function.
1) the function is available for White rice (Cook button), Mixed Rice and Congee programs.
2) To set the White rice / Congee / Mixed Rice program to the Timer, do the following:

Press the Timer button, the green light at the top right with the inscription Timer will start blinking. The display will show the characters "予 約 1"
Use the Hr and Min buttons to set the desired time. the Min button has a step of 10 minutes. Remember that the program WILL FINISH cooking by the specified time.
Press the Cook button (or another one selected), the red light above White rice will light up (indicator that this particular program is selected) and the green Timer light (indicator that the timer is running).

Since the timer remembers the last selected time, you are given the opportunity to use two timers: for breakfast and for dinner. Both timers are equivalent in their use, it is simply assumed that every day you have breakfast and dinner at the same time and, in order not to set it anew each time, Tosha will remember the time in two versions.
I hope now everything will become clearer

if you have a little time, read, there is a lot of useful information in Temka. Congratulations on your purchase!

I bought this device after reading the forums. decided to cook porridge for my daughter (in fact, for which he was bought). poured 1 cup of oatmeal and 800 grams of milk into the pan. added salt and sugar, closed and pressed the porridge button. when I accidentally walked into the kitchen after 40 minutes, the result exceeded all my expectations - washing the kitchen with moving the washing machine (on which the appliance stood). Dear forum users, please answer how to cook oatmeal porridge in this machine. THANK YOU.
zav-na
Since no one answered, I will give one piece of advice. I hope it's not too late and the multicooker hasn't gone to the landfill.

I don’t cook oatmeal in a cartoon, but I know one secret.

Press the button at the top of the topic seal - the whole theme opens, then look in your browser on the menu bar to find... In a firefox mozilla she hides in a tab edit... At the bottom you have a search line in the topic, enter tudys oatmeal and read-read until you get the answer to your questions.

If it doesn't work out, tomorrow I'll look for myself what they wrote about oatmeal, I remember exactly what they wrote!
Ir-Ok
arsenniy, there are several subtleties in cooking delicious milk porridge in a slow cooker, I really rarely cook porridge in milk, but never once did the milk porridge run away:

- so that the milk porridge does not run away, it is necessary to replace 1-2 parts of milk with water, you can grease the edges of the bowl with butter above the level of the mixture;
- if you use a measuring cup and risks on the bowl, then there will be an optimal ratio of liquid and cereal;
- it is necessary to rinse cereals / flakes before cooking;
- you can leave the porridge to infuse, after the signal on heating.

Hello dear Toshi users. Take a new one into your friendly ranks, I bought a cartoon 3 days ago - I fell in love with a bowl + the seller advised, initially I went for a small redmont for porridge. I arrived home, climbed into the same forum, only dedicated to multicooker, and was terribly upset by the heap of shortcomings of this model. Then I found this forum, read it and there was a desire to master the purchase. Thank you very much for your advice and recipes !!! With the help of your forum, we became friends with Tosha. And we have already prepared two milk porridge on a delayed start and soup and chicken stewed in sour cream, and most importantly, Cottage cheese, which I cook every week for the kids. Everything worked out Very tasty! But this is the curd 🔗
I put the yogurt (milk was cow's, not purchased), about 3 liters, in a slow cooker to heat the soup for 1 hour, cool it and put it in a colander so that the whey glass.
abrikosina
hello, I have been the proud owner of this multicooker for half a year now. all good. but today, by mistake, I pressed mixed rice instead of the "porridge" mode, when I was cooking oatmeal, I noticed it late, a lot had already run away. and ran under the very heating surface, which even flows from the plastic from below. can someone tell me how to disassemble it or a link to the manual.
siverojke
Good day. The girl and I became the owners of this multicooker. And we just can't figure out how to cook oatmeal in it ...How to set the timer for the morning ... And in general, something is not very clear ...)
abrikosina
siverojke, I prepare oatmeal like this: for 2 servings I put one measuring cup of cereal, 2 cups of milk, 2 cups of water, salt, sugar, butter into the bowl. I press the Congee button and go about my business, when the porridge is ready, the multicooker will beep. And then it will heat it up for a few more hours, so that the porridge turns out to be boiled, very tasty.
siverojke
But what if we want to put it at night? To eat right away in the morning?
Ir-Ok
siverojke, put all the ingredients in the bowl, stir, grease the bowl with butter above the liquid level, use the "timer" button, set the time when the porridge should be ready with the "hr" / "min" button, then press the "congee" porridge mode. You can set the readiness time about an hour or two before the meal, for example: you will have breakfast at 7 am, and set the timer at 5 or 6 am, by this time the porridge will be ready, and by 7 it will be infused properly and will be even tastier.

: girl-th: Hello everyone! I really want to buy a small cartoon Toshiba 10 or Panasonic 101 just for cereals and when to take a thread on vacation. Need advice: which cartoon is better for these purposes. Well, I really like porridge: millet, rice, oatmeal - dairy. And maybe enlighten on which of these toons more cutlets for frying are placed, since I can not imagine the size of the bottom of the pots of these babies. I read the forum on these cartoons: they are dearly loved everywhere. It is difficult to choose the most. Thanks in advance for your reply.
Daddy cool
madames, my opinion - Toshiba is not suitable for frying, rather weak. Besides, I don’t know about others, but mine has such a glitch - if you want to fry, for example, onions (for pilaf or omelet), turn on "Frying", pour oil, put onions. All this starts to squirt - to fry ... Squirt exactly until you stir the contents. After that, the squirt stops, and it is not clear whether she fries further or not? Maybe someone from the old-timers will tell you? Thank you.

Girls !!! Help what to do? Today I read some tasty treats and wanted to cook steamed bacon in a cartoon. And apparently the baking sleeve blocked the steam outlet. In general, the panel with the clock is covered with condensation, the whole fogged up and now, when turned on, the hieroglyph, 4.01 is displayed, and the buttons do not respond to pressing
The situation is almost like that of May123, only my display is fogged up.

If left, it will dry up and recover on its own ??? Or without options to carry the repair ??? I am without a multi-lover as without hands !!!
natashula
I took the cartoon for repair, it seemed to be done - I checked it, all the buttons work, it turns on, everything seems to be fine ....... brought it home, turned on the rice to cook - it warmed up somewhere around 50 degrees ... and that's it .. .. F1 lights up on the display and again no button responds !!!
Gusyona
Hello everyone!
Daddy cool, even if the squalling has stopped, the process does not stop, you just turned the food over and a little liquid is released from it, so the cartoon can be silenced, but then it starts to squirt again? I fry without any problems, if only there is such a chip that when the product starts to burn, the cartoon turns off and it happens, if in my opinion the meat is not yet fried enough (or it needs to be turned over), then I turn on the cartoon a little more.
NetNika, surprised with bread recipes! Thanks, I'll try.
natashula, hmm, I have not tried to cook with a baking sleeve, only meat in foil. It can be seen that you have something broken

I bought this device almost a year ago, mainly for cereals. Porridge cooks excellently, I'm happy, but with the rest ((((I don't understand the instructions at all, it's so incomprehensible it's written, horror, I have to do everything by typing. I tried to make charlotte-2 times the mode was set and still raw even though here the owners write step-by-step recipes, maybe something will work out for me. I just want to turn on the mode like porridge once and forget about it until morning, but I don't like these dances in front of technology, that's why I bought it so as not to wasting time at the stove.
I wanted to ask who knows if there is a grate for steam, so that it can be hung on the edge of the bowl, and not at the bottom, as in the kit, and so that it fits under Toshiba (I have 18th). I would very much like to cook two in one (side dish at the bottom, cutlets or fish on top /).
Ir-Ok
flock21, you want a lot from a multicooker, it will not replace the cook, it only simplifies the cooking process. What is your difficulty, describe?
I cook absolutely everything in the cartoon, everything turns out great, you just need to adapt. For example, side dishes: rice, bulgur, buckwheat, are excellent in this cartoon - crumbly, you just need to observe the proportions of liquid and cereals, cook mixed rice in the mode. Mixed rice also produces excellent results: pilaf, pilaf with bulgur, rice with vegetables, rice with fish (recipe on page 36), meat for pilaf and vegetables are pre-fried in baking. Pastries are baked longer than in other cartoons, for example, I bake a charlotte at a time of about 1.45 without looking. By the way, a very important point in charlotte is to beat eggs with sugar with a mixer, for at least 5-7 minutes, then add flour and stir gently with a SPOON, no soda is added. Here is the result of today's charlotte:
Multicooker Toshiba RC-18NMFR and RC-10NMFR

For baking, baked chicken and potatoes turn out great, cook for 60 minutes. I cook soups on baked goods. Warm yoghurt. I cook stewed beets on quick cooking, in this mode the cartoon itself determines the degree of readiness. In general, take any recipe from the Internet and go! You just need to slightly adapt the recipe for your slow cooker and that's it! Good luck!

Hello!
Today I tried another bread recipe. called: Cypriot bread with onions in a Redmond multicooker.
From myself: I added 1 tsp of salt (fine) to the garlic / onion / oil mixture, the onion itself was taken by LEE, (white part)
In the dough, 2 tsp. Of granulated sugar.
Today I baked it for the second time, for the first time I didn't like it very much because of the freshness of the bread. Although it turned out very tasty too.
Today the taste is different, tastier
In both cases, they looked the same in appearance.
The dough rose for about an hour, on the TEST mode. They put it up for 30 minutes, but was delayed ...
The dough on the TESTO mode was suitable for 1 hour.
Baked for 1 hour + 25 MIN for "BAKING"
She immediately took it out of the bowl, onto the wire rack.
The bread turns out to be very tender, it is advisable not to crush it during extraction.
The taste is amazing !!! Very gentle, does not wrinkle.

NetNika, thanks for the delicious photos! I was going to bake bread for a long time, but I still could not dare, because it is very time consuming. I already baked bread in Phillips, it turned out very tasty, and now I baked it in Toshiba, it turned out to be very, very tasty too, the family was eating it by both cheeks! I baked a simple white bread according to the recipe at the beginning of this page. I only baked at 1.30 and I think that it could have been held for another 15 minutes, the crust would have been rosy, the bread turned over and another 30 minutes. on baked goods. And yet, according to the recipe, 6 multi glasses of flour are indicated, five was enough for me. Here's the result:

The cartoon was fixed for me! The second time the reason was trivial - to replace the clock battery.

What could be the reason?

The multicooker goes into heating when the dish is ready.

Hello everyone!
There is a slow cooker at home, but only the mother-in-law cooked in it. And so my sister in the DR asked for a multicooker as a gift, chose and read for a long time and settled on the one that is at home, that is, on Tosha. I know how to cook, but not in MV, I decided to make a brochure with recipes for my sister as a gift. Maybe someone will come in handy, all the recipes from this forum thread.
