Fermented tea made from leaves of garden and wild plants (master class) (page 367)

Victory me
lappl1, Lyudmila, welcome back! We were all waiting for you with impatience !!!
And I am with a currant-apple tree:
The leaves are withered, frozen, proportion 45/55.
After the first scroll, there is vegetable dust, no semblance of granules:

After the second scroll - ghost pellets with a huge amount of small fraction

A third attempt was made. the last, on a fine grate, the granules are a little sharper, but again with a bunch of fine fraction

Drying without frying - 40 minutes per 100 gr, another 40 per 50 gr. Drying 2 days.
Tea after drying:

The last thing that was poured was a lot of tea dust. It is clearly seen here:

And of course brewed. The color is very beautiful with a reddish tinge, the smell is pleasant, but neither apple tree nor currant can be clearly guessed. The taste is still herbal - sent for dry fermentation
Fermented tea made from leaves of garden and wild plants (master class)
Well, this is a month-old Ivanushka currant, the color is so-so, the taste is pleasant, but I do not have enough astringency. The currant is felt.

Today I twisted the pear with raspberries, put it on fermentation. Report the other day.
Radushka
Victory me, apple leaves, it seems, were dryish, right? Now, despite the rain, we still have such ... True, it is better on late apple trees. And the summer ones rustle when I ditch. But, there was no grassy taste, however. Good currant taste. Let's wait for dry fermentation!
Tatka1
Victory me, how I always like your reports) Good girl!) 👍🏽

Girls, if raspberries thin the blood and act like aspirin, then this is cardisave and aspirin-cardio in one bottle! No harm to the stomach, and the blood runs faster!

So I will mix half of Ivan-tea with raspberries. One property will balance the other.
I also think that you can drink Ivan tea and those who have problems with veins. Just in moderation, and alternate, for example, with raspberry tea.

Question:
What herbs to exclude at high blood pressure?
Podmosvichka
Lasto4ka, you can only if you do not drink cardiomagnet, like me
Overuse can lead to stomach bleeding

With a tendency to thrombosis, tea from the leaves of the black chokeberry should also be taken carefully.
And I have it in the freezer, a whole large package lies.

Lasto4ka
As I understand it, the black chokeberry can be replaced with a cherry. I, of course, did not do it, but the reviews gave the impression
lappl1

Isn't there anything useful in tea after fermentation?
Windicy, Andrei, why not stay? Of course it does, but not to the extent that beneficial or harmful substances are present in fresh leaves or unfermented leaves, dried as medicinal herbs at low temperatures. By the way, this is good - no need to bother too much about contraindications. That "evil doctor", about which Lena Kadieva wrote, wrote many times arguing in the topics that even such potent plants as chokeberry and raspberry in fermented form are practically harmless. unless you drink tea with buckets every day.
I repeat - no one has ever suffered from our teas during the publication of the recipe. There were no such cases. But there are many positive reviews. Oh yes ... I remembered one. Our forum member went to a powerful cleansing of the body, with colic. But this girl from morning to evening drank very strong tea from garden scent. I drank a lot. All day long and in a large circle. Everything, there were no more cases.
And about Ivan-tea, only positive reviews about the effect on the body.

Quote: Podmoskvichka
Lasto4ka, it is possible only if you do not drink cardiomagnet, as I do. Overuse can lead to gastric bleeding
Podmosvichka, Lena, my husband and I drink Ivan tea all the time. And very strong (I love brewing so much). And my husband has the above problems. Drinks cardiomagnet too. For the fifth year now we have been drinking Ivan-tea. Everything is OK (mmm).
In general, all of the listed properties relate to willow tea, prepared as a medicinal herb. But not fermented. Every year I harvested just dried leaves of willow-tea. Saw for stomach problems and bronchitis. For 2 - 3 days the problems went away. Fermented tea didn't get that effect so quickly.

Lasto4ka, Svetlana, sure you may! The aromas and tastes are very similar. Unless the blackberry is garden. In the garden, everything is less pronounced - and taste, and color, and aroma.

Windicy, great mix! I made a lot of this tea. and a couple of handfuls of cherries. The bomb turns out!

Vika, thank you for the wonderful photo report.
The ready-made tea is very beautiful. And, apparently, yes, the apple tree was either a summer one, or an Antonovka tree, or it had not been rained for a long time, since it did not give a special taste to tea ...
Vika, the color of the tea surprises me - both apple-currant and fireweed-currant ... I also have such teas. The color of the brewed tea is very black due to willow tea and apple trees. They always give black. I wonder what's the matter?
Radushka
lappl1, Lyudochka, my apple tree NEVER gave black color! And I did it from different ones. Summer gives a slight haze, autumn gives a reddish amber color. But, light tea, not black!
lappl1
Radushka, here I have not yet made tea, but in Russia I took leaves from different apple trees. and always dry tea in color light brown, and brewed black with a reddish tint. well, as in the photo in the recipe. Maybe it depends on my oven? I suspect that it gives a higher temperature than it shows. I always have rosier bread and pies according to other girls' recipes than theirs. It would be necessary to somehow measure the real temperature.
And it always surprises me when they write that cherries give light tea. Well, how light is it? It is black-black ...
Likar Nadiya
For a dream to come, I arranged home aromatherapy to make sweet dreams. I put the tea in the oven to dry - a pear + a handful of dogwood + a handful of cherry. It wilted well, almost a day, twisted it twice, the granules are very dense. Fermentation for 6 hours. The smell is just magical !!! Sweet pear-honey, intensely tart, like a good black, and a barely perceptible cherry, not even a cherry, but a berry trail. Everyone will dream of fruit and honey dreams)))
lappl1
Likar Nadiya, congratulations on fruit-honey tea and sweet dreams! very nice to read this review!
Likar Nadiya
Ludmila, and thank you for your work and inspiration. I have been preparing for "tea-making" since winter and have never regretted that I had tried it.

I made mono-teas cherries, black currants, raspberries (a lot of them, I remove the shoots, I let them into tea), cherries, blackberries, pears, apple trees, dogwoods, mulberries, a little hawthorn and a peach for testing. Now I do it with mixtures. I would also like to make grapes and a rose, try))

Likar Nadiya, to your health! I am always glad when our tea-makers get tea. And for you I am very, very happy.
Radushka, your cherry is somehow wrong ... Or mine? Well, here I have not done it yet, but in a Russian village made of cherries (overgrown, there were no berries), the blackness itself was ...

I repeat again
1) LEAVES AND FRUITS ARE NOT THE SAME,
2) DRIED MEDICINAL HERB AND TEA ARE NOT ONE AND THE SAME.
Aronia fruits with increased thrombus formation are impossible, but the leaves do not have such an effect, especially in fermented ones.
And, in any case, EVERYTHING HAS ITS DOSE, even tea! Add some blackberry leaves to mixes, and there will be taste, aroma, and no harm. So I wrote a report on the mixes, there is a chokeberry in the right dose. Take another look here

Probably mine. And when withering, it smells not of cherry, but of a rose ... And then it smells very strong. Straight like paint! I made from different cherries. And with small leaves, and with such as my palm, and from the one on the jam, and from the one on the compotes. They don't give color.
mironirina
Radushka, and made of felt? I look at her, there is no other, but I want cherries!)
Radushka
Irina, did not and is not worth it. Someone tried it. Wasted work. And you should have a sand cherry there. This is something between ordinary and felt. If there is, try doing a batch test (knead the leaves and put them in a bag warm, then sniff after a couple of hours)

Exactly, I did and wrote to everyone not to do it. You can safely replace with blackberry.

Linadoc

Victory me, the apple leaves looked a bit dry, right?
Dearie, I don’t understand yet, for the first year I was carried away by teas. I have 7 apple trees at my dacha, this year all are somehow lousy, except for the columnar ones. These have been growing for 10 years already. One of them looks like a boy, and the second is a girl, because with incredible efforts the last 5 years she will give birth to ... 4-8 apples Here they have green foliage, absolutely not affected by anything, the size of my palm. I'm all going to do a batch test, maybe I still use it, there is a lot of foliage there, you can do mono. And the previous 2 parties were made from wild and from one winter dacha. Withered in a sheet, until the crunch of the midrib disappeared - then in the freezer. The leaves did not gather in a lump (well, for example, like raspberries or ivanushka). Maybe underwhelmed? I will try ischo

The apple trees were wild (I don’t know summer or autumn) and summer cottages (autumn). We had an incredible amount of rain this year. I still want to say that every person has different olfactory and taste buds. For example, I have a peculiarity - I smell smells when they are at a distance (in another room, for example), and when my receptors are dulled next to me. Maybe another person will smell and taste differently.
My Ivanushka is also dark, almost all of it, I posted pictures somewhere in my reports. But it is the currant that gives some other color, it is not the color of green tea, and not black. Something in between.Maybe you need to brew more? I put 2 teaspoons in a thermo mug (a little more than a glass), maybe I need to put 3. We will experiment. Or maybe you need to ferment longer, I fermented the apple-black currant for 4 hours, it seems, maybe up to 6-7 you need to increase the fermentation time. I am learning, gaining experience, next year I will do it taking into account the experience of this year.
Lasto4ka
Ehhh, I’m still dreaming of sitting down, brewing all my mono teas, and making a comparative analysis of only working at home now so much that Mamadaragaya ... But he does not like rush tea.

These are the questions about the healing properties that arise sooooo often. Maybe at the beginning of the recipe, write about it in large print. To close this topic, although, probably, all the same, these questions will periodically arise, since it is easier to ask a question than to read the topic.

Nadyushich, Nadia, this is written at the end of the recipe in the Notes, marked "Important" in bold red, and even with an exclamation mark .. Just a little more detailed. You're right, whoever wants to read it. And at the beginning of the recipe, I think you don't need to write it - I spent so much time to build the text logically. Now what? Insert text not attached to anything at the beginning? It is not logical ... And the one who opens the recipe for the first time will not understand what is the matter.
Everything is in the recipe. And in the links to posts. The recipe is already inflated to incredible proportions. It is either necessary to shorten it (because no one reads it anymore) or to create a separate topic on the properties of plants and their combinations. But I'm not special in these matters.
mironirina
lappl1, Lyudochka, for God's sake, do not shorten the recipe! I can't even say how many times I read it at the beginning. It's just that with all newbies, you have to do it, read a little to understand the algorithm.
Lasto4ka
lappl1, Lyudochka, I join. A gorgeous recipe, chewed up and laid out on the shelves! He hooked me with this, that everything is so accessible and described in detail. I've read about tea fermentation before, and even tried something there, but since the information was very crude and blurry, I, essno, did not succeed in anything
And you, such a clever girl, wrote everything in great detail and clearly.
And Ira is right, just until you do it a couple of times, there will be a lot of questions. Theory is best consolidated with practice.
Nadyushich
lappl1, Luda, I am also against prescription reduction. This is the best recipe on the entire internet. Sorry, I'm taking off my question, all the same, the same questions will be repeated regularly ...

Hello tea makers! Request to you.I met a mention that drinking tea (sort of like grape) is useful for swelling of the legs, they say the swelling goes away, I can't find where I saw it and is it written there as I remember it?
Lasto4ka
kogan_, it was at the beginning of the Temka where it was written that they drank grape tea, and the swelling in my mother's legs disappeared. But, firstly, this is all individual, and secondly, if some useful medicinal properties remain in the leaves, then they are many times reduced. So, in principle, you can read about the medicinal properties of certain plant leaves, but divide them by 10😃

Thanks to Lasto4ka, thanks to you I found a second mention of the author Darika about the good effect of grape tea (about the convergence of edema on the legs). My mother also complained of swelling in my legs, so I clarified. Thanks again!

Good evening everyone! Tell the forum users if anyone made tea from hazel. There is a bush at home that does not bear fruit, but leaves are full. She smelled a crumpled leaf - like nothing. How is the tea made if someone made it?

Likar Nadiya, read the recipe! Here is a quote from it:
Quote: lappl1
I tried to make tea from linden leaves, maple, hazelnut... But this tea didn't impress me at all. Not tasty and smells like bath brooms ...

Well, girls and boys, tea-lovers and tea-lovers ... I twisted the one that had dried up to ringing, Ivanushka, along with other flavors. In dry form, it weighed 70 g. So ... the volume is decent. Before twisting, I swaddled him in a wet towel for three hours. It got a little damp, became plastic, not fragile. Do you think 4 hours of fermentation is enough? Granules are normal, not dry, come out
Lasto4ka
Honey, how's your tea? And then everyone somehow at once became tea-phobes and disappeared. I read your message, only I'm not friends with Ivanushka yet ...
Radushka
Svetlana, I do not know. I dried it and hung it in a pillowcase to hang out. Haven't tried it yet. Today I went to the village for Antonovka and plums. Tomorrow I'll cook the plum with chocolate. And I want to make jam from Antonovka

filirina
Yeah, and not one .... we also cut raspberries on Sunday from my mother-in-law. They brought home right with the branches and then I fell down with the flu. Well, my husband is also a maniac, he robbed me of the leaves, put them to dry. Well, I already played it yesterday in a semi-faint state. And some of them threw them to soar with a bit of mulberry. Radushka, did you make steamed raspberries? She has an amazing aroma! Today I already screwed up, twisted the steamed one, it smells like rose petal jam! And these are not flu-like glitches, she still smells of roses! Fuck, raspberries surprised me once again!

Linochka, just yesterday told her mother-in-law that because of tea, work in the garden was no longer just a necessity. With such pleasure and, what is important, everything is done ON TIME! And in parallel, the leaves are harvested, the plants are well-groomed, the shoots are trimmed. And the mother-in-law calmly picks off the leaves from the branches. She is not eager to do something already difficult for her. Knows that it is very important for me to manage the leaves

filirina, Irina, did not do! Tell us about the cooking mode! So far, I’m not all in the freezer and have something to float.
I have been talking about the smell of a rose for a long time. Only my cherries smell like that when dried. The strongest scent of a rose!
filirina
: nea: Radushka, I made raspberries in the cartoon. She pushed the sheet very tightly, covered it with a silicone plate on top of the sheet to keep it warm. And heated for 12 hours. On heating, I have 60 degrees in the cartoon. That's all. Then into the meat grinder.
You prompted an interesting idea to me ..... Can you steam the cherries? After all, the smell can change for a more edible one! So .... Where do we have the cherry ......
Radushka
Irina, come on, steam! Then you will tell about the result! I have cherriesat least eat a booty like shoe polish! We remove three trees by old age. And I'll put the raspberries today. I'll dry it in the evening. How did you report by the way! Are the granules formed, or does it matter to you, like me?
