Oksanna
Masinen, and thanks again
Chit
Good day to all! Today I tried to test Steba again. Thoroughly washed the lid and valve. Slightly moved the staples on which the ring sits.
First I started with the first ring, then with the second, mmm, there were no "explosions", they didn't even "poison".
I hope the "adventure" will end there.
I'll try to cook something in a small barrel today.
Thank you all for your support and advice.

Hello everyone! Tell me, did anyone wash the DD1 lid in the dishwasher?
What are your thoughts on this?
For example: "You can wash, but without a silicone ring"?
Or: "only by Japanese means and in a sparing mode"?
I want to try, but something's scary.
Masinen
saqwer69, I wash it periodically on the top shelf with all the components of the lid)))
On an automatic program.
saqwer69
Are you removing the valve? Is the pill regular?
Masinen
Nope, I don't take off anything, a finish pill or a somat with a red ball.

And good evening everyone! So I had everything fine, good ... Joy knew no bounds ... But during cooking, the valve fell apart - then I found it in the soup ... I collected it, but now I don't like it, it seems that steam began to come out stronger when closed. The most interesting thing is that I did not find any silicone gasket - all parts are only metal. And it really should be there? I see a silicone gasket with a nut next to it under the hole. And in the valve itself?
Nemo
Ay, girls, don't be silent! Well, please answer who disassembled the black valve - is there a silicone gasket there or I washed it off ...

Question: I am getting steam out of the closed black valve, is it a marriage?
Answer: If the pressure cooker builds up pressure while doing this, then a little hover / hiss is acceptable and usually not a hassle when cooking. A possible cause of the phenomenon is a loose nut on the inside of the cover or a slipped silicone gasket in the valve. Remedy: From the inside of the bonnet, remove the protective metal valve cap. Unscrew the nut, disassemble the valve, correct the gasket, reassemble the parts in reverse order and tighten the nut well. The very procedure of assembly and disassembly is simple and the main difficulty is to remember the order in which the parts are assembled.

It looks like there is a silicone pad.

For more than a year we have Shteba DD-2. We do not use it every day, but often. Mostly satisfied or very satisfied. Of the minuses, the biggest problem is, perhaps, the quality of the bowl. Stainless steel is good for its environmental friendliness, but it is practically not in demand with us, because we do not cook the first dishes in the cartoon, and the second ones usually burn in this bowl. One of the first bitter experiences (then we didn't have a stickless one) was cooking oatmeal. Burned to such an eerie blackness that I had to spend a wild amount of time and effort soaking and cleaning.
When we received the Teflon one from Ozone, they examined it thoroughly for defects, scratches, etc. Everything turned out to be flawless. During the operation, they handled the bowl with the utmost care, never used metal spoons, shovels, only wooden and plastic ones. And suddenly, one day, with great regret and bewilderment, we find two small scratches in the thicket. After a while more. Then another. In all likelihood, it was only one wooden spoon with a chipped hole, with which we most often chose porridge from the bowl, to blame. I never thought that wood could damage Teflon.
The bowl still fully retains its non-stick properties (all scratches are small, thin), but we do not know whether it is worth using such a bowl further. Teflon is generally a dubious material in itself, and now it is also scratched.
So now puzzled what to do. I don't really want to buy the same cup again. Moreover, ceramic, which is actually only called ceramic, but in fact also contains synthetic components.
In the last couple of years, we have solved the problem of non-stickness with pans: we bought high-quality cast iron, which we are extremely pleased with (muscular arms will not interfere with anyone). Now, if the manufacturer Shteba took care of making a cast-iron bowl, it would be a good solution. Really, ECO!
Here in the forum someone seems to have contact with the Steba manufacturing plant. I wish I could send this request to the address! Or another way: to make a bowl from the same stainless steel, but with a special bottom (it seems triple, with a copper layer). We have such a pan in constant motion, the non-stick qualities are very good. Thick food (porridge) can stick to the bottom (but not burn) during cooking, and soon after turning off by itself lags behind.
Masinen
Evgeniy, thanks for the tip! In general, the bowl is very good non-stick, but I only use silicone spatulas and spoons, ladles, etc.)
If there are scratches to metal, then of course the bowl cannot be used, but if there are surface scratches, then use it further.
Evlad
Maria, thank you. What about handing over the request to the manufacturer? It's real? It seems that about a year ago you mentioned someone from the forum participants who was in contact with the plant. Or I'm wrong?
The other day I looked at bowls for Shteba, met in "Yulmart" stainless steel. with grooved bottom. Not sure how practical it is, what gives?
Masinen
Evgeniy, yes we have a Steba representative on the forum S-t,, you can write to him or he himself will read your wish in the topic.

So Shteba has his own bowls with a grooved bottom. I specifically went and looked)

And it will warm up for a long time, and cool down too. And accordingly, it will practically not keep up with the changes in heating of the heating element.
In the next few minutes, won't it come in line with the heating element? And won't it smooth out some of the temperature fluctuations of the heating element that usually occur? And wouldn't that be better for cooking?
I remember that on the very first day of using the Steba, we put the dough (dough). I set the temperature corresponding to the dough: minimum. Shteba was left alone in the kitchen. When he returned soon, the scoreboard was 52 degrees. Then it went down, but the dough was baked, the dough did not take place. I asked a question here, Maria advised in this case not to rush, but to wait a little while the temperature stabilizes. In theory, cast iron, by its inertia, should equalize and prevent all this. Or not?

Masha, girls, I have a question: if you cook, for example, porridge mode, pressure 0.3, the valve is open (this is how the oven is recommended), does the time countdown start?
Masinen
Yes, it does, but not immediately.
Gala
Mashun, Thank you! I've already checked.

Girls, how to cook oatmeal properly? And then the bottom burns for 0.7b / 10 minutes, oatmeal 15 minutes, 1 to 3, milk 2.5%?
Oksanna
Crystal rose, I cook for 2 minutes at a pressure of 0.7 bar. 1 ms of oatmeal, 3 ms of milk - I like thinner oatmeal. And the milk is preheated in the microwave, then the pressure is accumulated in 4 minutes

How to cook frozen broccoli in a double boiler? I cook 400 g of broccoli + 400 g of cabbage. Do not define the time. Either undercooked, then overcooked. The last time it worked out the best 8 minutes (undercooked) + 2 more minutes. Then it turned out what you need. 10 minutes should I put it?
Masinen
Oksanna, well, if you liked it at 8 + 2, then put 10 minutes.

Crystal rose, these are Finnish, they are small.
How much do you cook? What volume?

1: 3, 2 minutes, I live in Crimea, the choice of cereals is not very large yet!

Crystal rose, these are Finnish, they are small.
So they don't fit? Or should they be cooked differently? Maybe others, then what?
Masinen
Crystal rose, I would cook such rolled oats without pressure, or for 0.3 10 minutes.
It quickly absorbs moisture and burns.

On the stove, it's different)

I'll try to make a porridge tomorrow morning according to your advice, thanks! The rice turned out to be perfect in the porridge mode 0.7 in the 8th minute, cut it out and bleed off the pressure, I think we could wait until it lowers itself. Wow, hurray, at least one victory today, after 2 burnt cereals!
Masinen
Crystal rose, well, that's good, nothing, make friends))

I buy large flakes, they cook well)
Crystal rose
Just did not understand, without pressure in what mode?
Loksa
Crystal rose, without pressure is languor, there you need to choose the temperature and time.
It is already becoming difficult to give advice, I cook out of habit. She poured one, the other levanula. Probably for such flakes you need more liquid, the water boiled away and everything burned. The flakes are large and the cooking time is not short!
Masinen
Oksana, yeah, right about the liquid.

Then they can be cooked on Slowing plus 98 gr.
That there was no stormy boiled.
Crystal rose
Thank you girls!
This is my first cartoon

Crystal rose, do not be afraid, you will learn! : Friends: Follow the recipes, read, cook in compliance with the regimes, and everything will work out!

Girls, what is a ceramic bowl for? And is she needed? Or harmful? I don't understand this. I have a ceramic (frying pan), but it is dark, and here is a white bowl. Forgive me if that is.

What is a ceramic bowl for?
Anna, porridge, pilaf, etc. are made well in a ceramic bowl. But you can do without it, Teflon is enough for baking and steel for everything else.
Crystal rose
Girls, when the countdown starts from the black valve, the steam slightly etches, murmurs until the end of cooking - should it be so?
Loksa
Crystal rose, the countdown starts after closing, it should close, if the valve spits and spits for a long time, I open and see if the elastic has fallen off.
Crystal rose
Is there an elastic in the valve or in the lid?
Loksa
No, the elastic is on the lid, it can go down a little. I correct it and close the lid. I always look before closing. But this is not the case for everyone. The valve does not work for me only in the case of the rubber cover. For girls, 0.3 does not work, sometimes. I do not close by 0.3 when I bake in a multi.
Crystal rose
The oatmeal turned out to be 0.3; 9 minutes, how I love! I decided to make barley with meat stewed according to a recipe from the forum, turned on the porridge for 1 minute, pressure 0.7, began to heat, but after 2-3 minutes the program was cut out and the heating turned on, without gaining pressure, on the 212 degrees display. I turned off and again started the desired program, she turned on the heating again. I put the soup for 1 minute, 0.7 - I passed out again. I put porridge for 2 minutes, 0.7 and lo and behold, she began to gain pressure, there were no problems with languor. What could it be? I checked the rubber band, it sits tightly, there is not even the slightest hint of escape, the black valve is still gurgling, what to do with it?
Masinen
Crystal rose, it looks like your overheating, or rather the pan.
Why such a temperature? Is there no liquid in there?
Crystal rose
liquids 6 ms: 2 cereals + breast in sour cream
Masinen
Then why such a huge temperature is not clear.
Crystal rose
I was scared myself when I saw
