I don't understand at all what you were going to cook. Why experiment if this is your first time using this technique? Follow recipes and don't torment the multicooker

For Christmas, my peasants gave me a multicooker Redmond RMC-250, I chose a multicooker for a long time, I just wanted a multicooker (instead of an old Panasonic), because there are pressure cookers. I doubted for a long time, I read reviews, a lot of good ones, but a lot and not so much. But I was bribed by this model with its functionality. The bowl is black, the heating element is also.
I'm testing the third day. For the first time I turned on the pasta program, apparently pressed something wrong (two hungry mouths stood over my soul and waited for dumplings), in general, the dumplings were cooked, but the program worked somehow wrong, the cartoon squeaked constantly. Today I turned it on in a calm atmosphere, the whole program worked perfectly.
I cooked pasta on the Express, in 20 minutes everything was cooked with the liquid completely boiling.
I cooked pilaf, first I fried meat and carrots with onions, in the process I increased the temperature to 165 degrees (very convenient). I added rice (1: 1) and a wonderful pilaf was prepared on the pilaf program. By default, the program lasts 1 hour, but I turned it off after 40 minutes.
Now I have baked a honey cake on baking in 1 hour.
Until I understood the soup program. I cooked soup with meatballs, but maybe because they were frozen, the soup was cooked for a long time, in general I will still figure it out.
So far, the impressions are positive, I hope that we will become friends.

This slow cooker was presented to my sister for a wedding, she was skeptical at first about this gift and now she really likes it. Plus it is in the master chef, it is convenient that right on the go you can change the settings and then save the recipes. We constantly exchange recipes with her.

Hello! Recently became the owner of this multi. There used to be Atlanta, I really like it, but there were not enough cottage cheese and yogurt modes, and I always wanted to reduce the temperature during the programs. There was no plastic smell, I took Redmond with the airfryer, so for the first time with the fairies in the multi bowl on the airfryer cleaning mode I got rid of the novya smell) First of all I cooked the soup, and in a large volume, I was very afraid of the fountain of contents from the valve ... I took it by eye, as in an ordinary saucepan, the only thing, after 15 minutes of readiness, reduced the temperature to 95 degrees, and 5 minutes before the end of readiness, the temperature changed to 100, and then again reduced to 95. I saved the settings. I cooked it with beef, so I put it on for 1 hour, I really liked it, I think that 40-45 minutes would be enough. By the way, the meat was very frozen, thawed it on the lower grill of the airfryer for 30 minutes at a temperature of about 125 degrees.
I tested it with water in the "macaroni" mode - there was no signal after boiling, it happened twice, on another forum they write that this is the norm. Is that how it should be?
And I wanted to ask: pilaf for 1 multi-glass of rice to prepare how much water is needed? I had 1: 1 in Atlanta, but here? and if you cook rice for a side dish, so that it is crumbly, and buckwheat? I often cook duet dishes using a double boiler. I would be grateful for your answers.

Thank you!

Finally, I became the proud owner of CF. The husband chose RMC-250 as a gift for March 8th. first and foremost, I decided to cook millet millet porridge with a delayed start, so as not to get up early in the morning at 6 in the morning (as it was before this miracle was acquired). The proportions were as follows: 1 liter of milk (I had fat from 3.8% to 4.2%), 1 glass of millet (120-130 g), butter, sugar, salt 1/2 tsp each. I threw everything away, set the program "milk porridge", time "10:00" and went to bed happy ...
Of course, at seven in the morning I did not see the finished dish: D and now I understand why. Then I just started the program again. Time changed by 40 minutes. He turned off the heating. The porridge turned out to be just a miracle! The child does not really like millet, but he ate this one by both cheeks.

Hello everyone. We bought a multicooker redmond 250 so that we could eat right and tasty as much as possible - yoghurts, sour cream, homemade bread and porridge like in the oven (up to 100 degrees). The first step was to make a charlotte type cupcake with drunk fruit, it came out really cool, as everyone says, there are no problems with biscuits-cupcakes. Although no, at first there was a problem - in the baking mode, the time was not set - by default, instead of 1 hour, dashes burned, the + and - buttons did not light up and did not press, they thought - Khan, to the service, but they thought of resetting to the factory settings and everything was fixed ... and despite the fact that we didn’t have time to wind anything there yet, when we checked it in the store, we already saw these dashes, we just didn’t know that it shouldn’t be this way - the first slow cooker while driving
We read horror stories about milk porridge, we decided to retest everything until 14 days passed. We cooked semolina porridge, for two, half a glass of semolina, 5 teaspoons of cocoa and 2 glasses of homemade fatty milk (we don't want to dilute it, we don't like it). everything was mixed, the Milk porridge mode for 10 minutes and .. lo and behold! it was cooked, of course it looked a little strange - a semolina pancake at the bottom of the liquid (naturally, no one interfered with it, and in general did not climb under the lid), but nothing burned, did not stick, did not even try to escape anywhere, the milk apparently did not boil - traces of foam on the walls are not visible, there is no nasty film from boiled milk either. In short - whipped with a blender - and a wonderful porridge. We breathed a sigh of relief - we think "it looks like our temperature sensor is in order."
But! put homemade milk for yogurt to pasteurize - multi-cook 65 degrees for 20 minutes (milk from the refrigerator, a little more than a liter), open - 90 degrees! what is that ?! where are my 65? and by the way, at the start of the cartoon program, I saw 65 degrees less than 70 and the auto-heating was reasonable and didn’t turn on, but when it warmed up to 90, for some reason I changed my mind and turned it on, why ?! okay, almost boiled it cooled down to 37, poured Good Food fitness yogurt, yogurt mode for 8 hours (as it was by default) - in the morning an excellent clot, but very decent whey.
We experimented with water - heated on a multi-cook 35 - it turns out 40, 50 - it turns out 55, 60 - for some reason 60 and it turned out ...
Today they made sour cream for the night, homemade milk - 0.5 liters, heated milk from the refrigerator, first to 37 (35 multi-cook), then to 50 (multi-cook 50), then 65 for 10 minutes (multi-cook 65). It cooled down to 35, poured sour cream into the Vivo sourdough, interfered with it, put it on a 35-degree multi-cooker for 8 hours, after 6 they looked in - like sour cream already, but again whey, a lot Damn, what to do ?! We chose it for the low temperatures for yogurt-sour cream and a thick-walled bowl ... and here there is no yogurt or sour cream ... that is, the yogurt is delicious, of course, sweet without any sugar, but there is a lot of whey - and it is not convenient to drain, and you damage the clot, in short, the aesthetic side of yogurt suffers terribly. Ahh! Help! maybe we are just doing something wrong? I really, really want beautiful yogurt and sour cream, I don’t even want to use store-bought yoghurts-sourdoughs as a sourdough, there is nothing there, even E. coli, why should I breed it myself, only dry ones. Has anyone made it with homemade milk?

and in catch-up - did anyone pasteurize in it? does it warm correctly?

Good day, evening, morning
dear experts and owners of RMC-250 ....I stopped yesterday at this option for my daughter (yesterday's student with a claim to a hostess), reserved a unit in the store and ...
canceled the reservation today .... read a lot of bad reviews about CF and are now thinking about what to do: in terms of functionality, it suits her, but scarecrows about the creepy scare long the smell of plastic and the danger of escaping porridge in the morning ... I ask your advice on what to do ??? I read the topic .... again to reserve choli or .....

We have this. Bought, nothing smelled, washed with detergent everything including the bowl, valve, screen and body. I smacked it with plastic very slightly when they brewed the "first lemonade" (in the sense of water with lemon, about a third of the lemon in circles). everything is poured out, washed with cool water. everything, no more extraneous odors at all. first of all, yoghurt was made, so if it smelled of plastic, I think yogurt would have absorbed it all. By the way, "lemonade" sometimes has to be repeated to get rid of odors (well, or just rub the screen and valve with a lemon circle, rinse and repeat, it also works), it was from fish when the fish soup was cooked, and from jellied meat. although when you just make a roast, or even a dish with garlic, there is no smell.

I also make fried pies, whites, cheburechkas in it, because my other cartoons do not support the temperature of 170 degrees.

Of course, ordinary cereals are cooked with a bang, but we also figured out dairy ones. We didn't want to cook in diluted milk as advised, we boiled it on homemade whole milk. At first we tried to cook milk porridge on the program, it turned out super, then it ran out slightly, once I arranged a fountain, what is the difference - we did not understand. So we began to put on a multi-cook for about 70 degrees for 5-10 minutes to warm up the milk, and then switch to milk porridge or a multi-cook at 90 degrees. it's just that milk (especially whole fatty milk) has a large inertia, and if it was cold, the cartoon does not always have time to stop heating in time, besides, milk at 95 degrees often already boils. So you can even cook semolina porridge, in general, of course, you need to interfere with it, but if there is no time to interfere, it boils perfectly, it just kind of settles on the bottom, and the liquid collects on top. oddly enough - it does not spoil the taste, and the blender perfectly corrects the consistency.

staked out already in the technopoint ...
I read that it is desirable to have a separate bowl for yoghurts and cereals ... that's why I asked ...
Here, for example, to my rice cooker (an elderly lady has been serving faithfully since 1998, and before that she has served some Japanese) still nothing sticks in the bowl, but they write about non-Nish MV that they are painfully tender, a little bit of which the writing begins to stick to the bottom ...
I will conduct tests first at home, therefore, if any questions arise, I will come running here ...

How many manipulations to cook porridge. There is a program in mV "children food". This magic program will save you the hassle of preheating switch. for small portions... Here you have a fountain and got out, because the portion is small, there is little milk, and the power is decent.
I put it in the evening, it's ready for the morning. We don't eat semolina. All others will love it.

RMC -01 - side dishes, cereals, potatoes, small muffins to eat
RMC-250 - soups / borscht, programmable recipes - chicken, meat
fast cartoons - broths, jellied meat. mushroom soup
slow cooker - ducks / chickens, borscht shanks
Everything is in use and 2 bowls for each

I did.
I bought this device for cooking, and it is unprofitable to take it for 6-8 hours to make yogurt. Now there are a lot of yogurt makers on sale, so let them work, especially since they consume little e-va. This is THEIR task.
I tried cottage cheese. Not her either. Overheat.
Perhaps the program is designed for hard curd. I think let her (MV) do what she can perfectly. Mine is not friends with milk.

pressure cooker for pressure cooking, one Filka for baking and milk porridge, another Filka for soups and stewing, Panasonya for compotes.
I began to rarely use Red after everything began to stick to the bowls, so I have it exclusively for deep fat.

Good evening everyone!
redmond bought, tested, presented to my daughter
first impression - wow !! after several preparations, the fervor diminished:
nothing supernatural has been revealed, the porches are purely for a couple of people designed (my daughter is not married yet - she has enough) .... the yoghurt did not work out - half was fermented, half had to be drained and pancakes had to be made ... , I didn't really penetrate, but it is clear that a bunch of adjustments are possible, and this field is not plowed for creativity, I think the daughter will master it better maman ...
and here's another - the smell, or even more - the taste, was present only during the first preparation, after that it seems not to be observed ..
On the first day of the acquisition, I decided to change the rice cooker to a new miracle, but then I changed my mind ... I washed my dirty little one and decided to wait for her natural death ...
I'll go see what people cook in their rice cookers ...

Good evening, I decided to replenish the set of the multicooker, will any ham maker go into the bowl or do you need to pick it up somehow?

The daughter is happy with the gift, exploits with enthusiasm

I have no luck with this cartoon. The backlight has broken. First, the yellow color ended on heating, then red on cooking.
I make yoghurt in it in baby food jars. Shchekte crept up and high - vlazit 1.2 liters. I measured the tempo with a thermometer from a ham - 40 degrees.

Girls, hello!
Today I took my multicooker from the point of issue. Now I realized that when closed it has a gap of 1-1.5 mm between the lid and the case. I don’t know how to explain it, if you press on the cover from the top to the right or to the left, it kind of dangles a little here and there. And from the front, if you press on the lid from above, you can press it more tightly. Tell me, please, is this a marriage or it should be so. I'm very afraid that marriage (((((
Anna5311
Marina__, do not worry. It's the same for me.
Marina__
Anna, thanks, calmed down a bit))
Tell me, does this not affect the quality of baking? That is, is everything baked evenly?
I often plan to bake pies, biscuits, casseroles))
Anna5311
Marina__, I have it for about two years, but I have never baked in it. For baking, I have two Bread Makers, a stove, a pizza oven, etc.
Marina__
Cool)) I’ll never place so much equipment here)) considering the already bunch of existing ones, and then half on the balcony
Marina__
Today I tried to make a biscuit ... alas, it turned out to be dense, like a pie, it doesn't look like a biscuit at all. Didn't really get up. The lid may still not fit snugly enough
nikki0159
Hello. I am sure that this topic has been discussed a million times, but I cannot read such a volume of messages)
Tell me what to do .. They gave me this wonderful slow cooker. I really like her! Previously, I did not deal with multicooker ... This is my first. The first thing I decided to make in it was milk porridge. The first time I ran away like a fountain. The second time I also tried to escape, but I managed to catch her))
The store gave advice to lower the temperature with the help of Masterchef to 95 degrees, but in the Milk Porridge function it already costs 95 ... Decrease to 90?
True, I put a smaller amount of products stated in the recipe. Milk with a fat content of 2.5 ..
Help, porridge, we have our favorite breakfast ((
Marina__
: bye: I just started using mine ... I cooked herculean porridge 2 times. The first time with a prescription, the second time by eye. Both times worked great. I take 3.2% milk, but half of it is poured with water. In general, I do this on the stove. Therefore, I can't say why it runs away, I don't have such a problem
nikki0159
I had rice both times. Tomorrow I'll try Hercules and dilute the milk with water, maybe it will turn out like that ..)) otherwise I get very upset because of this
Marina__
Oh, and I need to paint and try millet.
Won't you tell me if your multicooker lid fits snugly to the body? I have a kind of backlash of 1-1.5 mm. That is, in the closed state, if you press on the lid, you can press it more tightly.
nikki0159
I specially went and checked) there is a backlash. But I don't see the critical distance between the lid and the body) until you wrote - I did not pay attention.
Have you tried yogurt? I specially bought the jars and put them on for the night today. Let's see what happens
Marina__
I also bought jars)) But I have not tried it yet.
But I made cottage cheese casserole several times - super!
As for the backlash, I immediately noticed and was very worried. I tried to make a biscuit 2 times, both times a dense cake turned out, it was impossible to get upset. For some reason I thought it was because of the not tight-fitting lid. I will try again.
nikki0159
Was the casserole recipe taken from the recipe book? Or do you have your own?
When I studied, I did a lot of baking as a result of my studies. I have never succeeded in biscuit, it is the most difficult to prepare. Therefore, I will not even risk it, I have a proven recipe for cakes (for me, a biscuit is better), I will try to make it in a multicooker in the future)
Marina__
The casserole was made according to their recipe. But in fact, that's what I usually do. I only added sour cream before, not here.
My biscuit is usually just the norm. Standard - 4 eggs, a glass of flour, a glass of sugar.
Well, I also tried it here, not with a prescription. They have 6 eggs in the recipe !!! Where so many? And so this pie smells like eggs to me. We must try according to their recipe. But I feel that I will do it in the oven as before
nikki0159
Oh, how many discoveries this gift is preparing for me) but first you need to resolve the issue with porridge, otherwise the whole mood will be lost! ((

I'm starting to get disappointed.I have never been able to cook milk porridge, and none, neither oatmeal, nor rice, nor millet. Constantly "runs away". After that, we wipe it off with the whole family for an hour.
Ay, manufacturers, for such grandmothers, could solve this problem !!!

I swear, I will ring out on all forums, wherever I have been registered, and in 15 years of active use of the intern, there are many places.

Try to grease the multicooker bowl with butter before cooking, take the butter in your hand and rub it into the bowl 2/3 of the height of the bowl, and all the components so that there is no more than 0.5 liters. Then everything will work out

Girls, I report, I'm okay! And the biscuit is now super, but strictly according to their recipe. And I'm also making a cake, I found the recipe in the internet, but now I take everything by eye and the components are even different. This is a type of zebra or sour cream. Rises with a bang, 2/3 of the bowl exactly, or even higher. In general, I am super happy with my cartoon, I took it with me to the village, she helps me out a lot.
I was worried about the backlash, apparently, it should be so))
I only cook herculean porridge, but it turns out wonderfully on the standard program. I take half water and half whole milk (including country milk from a cow)
I do the second courses. And I cook noodles soup, but I cook broth on the stove. I don't see the point in cooking chicken soup in a slow cooker, for a very long time.
But nobody liked the borscht, it tastes much better on the stove.
I haven't tried the cottage cheese yet, I haven't made yogurt either, although I bought the glasses together with the slow cooker. We urgently need to fix this))
