MannaSo the fact of the matter is that the milk is good - I cook it right there on the stove and everything is fine. In this cartoon I cook only porridge, I haven't cooked anything else yet. Everything is clean. There is no delay in it Model Panasonic SR-DF101WTQ. Therefore, I want another ... since this one does not work. It seems to me that the cooking temperature is too high and the time is already 1 hour 20 minutes ...

Girls, so that milk does not run away when cooking milk porridge, you need to immediately reduce the pace to at least 90 degrees. redmond 250 allows you to do this ..

Irina, where can I read about your testing of the 250th model? I didn't find the topic.

Well, I'm also very interested, I've been looking at this beauty of Redmond for a long time, I can't make up my mind, I have a pressure cooker from them. Can you convince me with your review. Thank you in advance)
Tira mi su
Girls, good afternoon.
I read reviews on MV. One of the selected models is the "culprit" of this topic
First of all, I want to get rid of the steamer and yogurt maker. Replace all this with CF At this stage, CF is needed for boiling milk, making yogurt in jars, making loose rice and buckwheat. And then, as I understand it, I will be carried away
There are several questions:
1. Still, is it possible to boil homemade milk without diluting it with water, so that it does not run away and burn? Or is it better to buy a milk jug?
2. Can yoghurt be made in jars? How many of them can be put there (jars, for example, from a yogurt maker, or which ones are most suitable, but glass is required). Can I put them in 2 tiers?
3. How good is steaming in this MV? Is the steaming pribluda strong?
4. Is it convenient to place the screen on the lid and not on the side?
5. Has the bowl coating worsened? My ceramic pans started sticking after a few months

6. What disadvantages did you find in this MB during the period of operation?
7. The main "competitor" in my choice of MV is Polaris 0523. Who can tell you how these two models compare? I am attracted to Polaris by the bowl with handles ...

I would be grateful for the answers

You can cook milk by choosing a temperature of 95 ° C. But milk will not boil directly. But the milk porridge will cook without shoots. If you need to boil milk, then you need to stand at the multicooker and look after it, and then remove (!) The bowl on time - just turning off the heating will not be enough (the heating element will be hot and the milk will continue to heat up). Therefore, in your case, a milk cooker is better.

Yogurt in cans, of course, is possible. Which banks? Yogurt cups? Pieces 5-6 will be included. Two floors won't fit. And it doesn't make sense. It is better to pour water into the bowl over the shoulders of the jars, so that it warms up more evenly.
Quote: Tira mi su
Is the screen positioned on the lid rather than on the side?
The control panel is more convenient from above than from the side - no need to bend over. But the panel on the lid is not convenient if the lid is open
Quote: Tira mi su
Has the cover of the bowl become worse? My ceramic pans started sticking after a few months
Over time, the ceramic coating starts to stick. It is more difficult to maintain (it cannot be heated without food, it is imperative to wash it every time with the hard side of a new sponge, without leaving any plaque - otherwise the pores of the coating will coke and the bowl will quickly stick; you can revive it by preparing something with adjika, citric acid in the bowl , washing the bowl with gruel of soda + citric acid). Therefore, everyone is also trying to have a bowl with a non-stick coating.
Quote: Tira mi su
What disadvantages did you find in this MB during the period of operation?
There are not many reviews, but the milk runs, so it is better to cook it at 95 ° C. Well, marriage happens

The main advantage of Polaris over Redmond is the price. And their quality is similar

Thank you very much for the detailed answer.

I, too, will probably write a little about this model. I have had it for almost 2 weeks (my friends gave it to me for the anniversary). I will not say anything bad at all, because it suits in all respects. The only thing is that the smell of plastic was quite noticeable at first, but did not at all affect the dishes being prepared. Its OK now! I cooked a manna without flour. Baking mode. For the first time, it seemed a bit brownish. The second time I reduced it for 5 minutes. The result is more than good for me! I love the redhead bottom.
Milk porridge ... Cooking. The milk rose high enough, but the tear did not give. I did not dilute the milk. I did not grease the bezel with oil. I left it on the heat for almost an hour, it thickened so terribly. You are the one to blame.
On the "Macaroni" mode, it did not fit a bit. It seemed that by default 10 minutes would not be enough, so the time, and at the same time the temperature was added. The escape succeeded.
And the rest? ... Well, when you lift the lid up, it is inconvenient to keep track of the time.
And yet, the drip tray is for me, it was the best in Panasonic, but here all the moisture strives to get past.
In general, I am still very happy with Redik.
Vishenka999
I smelled a few - it smells like plastic.
Let it even expose space modes, but the multicooker is intended for cooking, which means it should not smell like anything.
Asitas
And I didn’t smell, although I touched and smelled two or three of these 250's. I chose it as a gift, I don't know. Well, and probably a slow cooker in which nothing has yet been cooked will not smell like food))
Fly in slippers
I ordered this multicooker, and then just looked here. Something was upset. I now have a Panasonic 18, and I don't like it. For little things, but there are a lot of these little things and they annoy every time. The Redmond 250 seems to fit my needs perfectly. But Panasonic has perfect porridge and nothing has ever escaped or burnt. And here half of the users complain, and a third carries it for repairs ... Meanwhile, reviews on other resources are quite rosy. (I admit that there are many ordered) What can I do? Cancel the order before it arrives, and use your unloved Panasonic, with a guaranteed good result, or take the risk and try Redmond?
Rituslya
Fly in slippersI'll write about my Red 250. Nothing burned in it, and also did not run away. If there were any shoals in the first place, it was only my fault. I think that I simply did not understand the unit.
Smelled like plastic right from the start, yeah Especially on the Steam and Macaroni programs. I confess that there was one desire - to send her back where she came to me, but ... But! The smell of plastic was completely not transferred to the dishes, and now, using it for almost a month, I can safely say that Red smells only of the dish that you cook in it.
Very happy with the bowl. Impressive, with a smooth finish. Nothing sticks, does not fry, does not weld.
Well, in general, a full-fledged stove in the kitchen, in which you can add-decrease the temperature, as well as decrease-increase the time.
Ah, Panasonic is the best cook for me too. It is, yes. The best cooker, and he has the most wonderful drip tray.
I also have a Panasonic. Kashi is all his.

I also have a Panasonic. Kashi is all his.
Panasonic will leave for the dacha if I buy a Redmond - that is, I will only have one multicooker at my disposal.
I am also somewhat confused by the fact that some users have a black bowl with a blue screen in standby mode. And both of these multicooker (at least in this thread) went to be repaired. Maybe a fake? Although it should not - Angelina, as I understand it, bought from an official representative of Redmond. Today I will call the store (to the office representatives) in which I ordered, I will clarify this point.
Fly in slippers
RituslyaAnd if you didn't run away in Redmond (I'm all worried about porridge), then why does Panasonic still cook better? Redmond doesn't make them that good, or what?
Rituslya
Fly in slippersI really like the "fluffiness" and tenderness of Panasonkin's porridges. Here it turns out exactly what everyone loves in my family. I bet at night, knowing exactly what I will get in the morning. In Reda, I got it thick enough (I wrote a little higher). Didn't try again.
Fly in slippers
I called the store - they assured me that they would bring a multicooker with a terracotta bowl and a green display. According to them, the color of the bowl depends on the batch, they hear about the blue display for the first time.
Fly in slippers
Well, of course, the multicooker was brought with a black bowl and a blue display. First heard, yeah. I wanted to quarrel and refuse to buy, but ... the multicooker - then here she came, desired and long-awaited - could not refuse. I will try to share my impressions as objectively as possible and compare it with my Panasonic.
I really liked the look. Although it is more bulky, it fits perfectly into my black and peach kitchen!
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
There really is a smell, it has become a little less after twice boiling with lemon, wiping the entire multicooker with a cloth dipped in a solution of vinegar and active ventilation. It doesn't seem to feel so, but if you open the lid during cooking, it is very noticeable.
The bowl itself is noticeably smaller in appearance than that of the Panasonic 181:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
I was somewhat upset that it is smaller not only in height (this is just not critical to me) but also in diameter - that is, if 7 chicken drumsticks fit freely into the Panasonic, it fits with a creak in this same amount.
The steamer also did not please: very large holes through which small products will spill out (that is, you cannot cook some finely chopped vegetable mixture a la Hawaiian (((And there are no protrusions on the inside of the bowl - it will be inconvenient to pull it out. The steamer itself is smaller and the plastic is more flimsy than in Panasonic:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
I was upset - I actively use it, I will miss the old basket.
Of course, there is no drip tray - all the water remains on the rim. I still did not understand how the condensate should get into it. This is a photo after a short boil with lemon:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
The drip tray itself was completely dry.
Okay, let's start cooking))
The safest and always delicious option is chicken drumsticks with buckwheat. As I already said, seven small shins (packaging) fit with difficulty, it will be inconvenient to turn them over:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
By default, frying is at 155 degrees for 15 minutes.
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
I did not change the settings, after 10 minutes there was a pale crust on the legs. I added up to 165. The crust stuck to the bowl. It will probably wash off, but there will be no skin on the legs. Everything else worked out well when I put in buckwheat, lowered the temperature to 100 degrees and set the time for 30 minutes. It is very comfortable!
Food does not smell of plastic, it does not taste much different from Panasonic, (well, except that there are no crusts)) Everything is juicy, tasty.
Multicooker Redmond RMC-250
She squeaks very quietly - you can barely hear it from the next room.
To summarize: the impressions are contradictory. On the one hand, it has a lot of advantages compared to Panasonic (more modes, not a blind display, you can turn off the heating, master chef, removable part of the lid, high-quality heavy bowl, excellent design) on the other hand - it takes up more space, despite the fact that the bowl is smaller, the double boiler is frankly upset, the drip tray is useless. Well, the fact that the crust did not work out - we will write off my curvature and inability to choose the temperature.
Whether I am happy or not, I don’t know. I think it will be clear after a week - another operation.

nezabudka528
I have this slow cooker too!
I'm not really overjoyed I really like its appearance, our kitchen is black and white, it looks great.
Now I cook in it mostly, much more convenient than constantly rattling pots. And for a big family it's very cool - a big bowl
Rituslya
nezabudka528,I would not say that the bowl is large. The usable volume is just over 2.5 liters.
Fly in slippers
Rituslya, I have a suspicion that Forget-me-not528 did not see this multicooker in my eyes - a short enthusiastic review from a user with zero number of messages looks too suspicious)))
According to the subject: the bowl was washed perfectly, or rather, I didn't even have to wash anything. But the steamer in work disappointed, as I thought: yesterday I cooked steam cutlets with a side dish. (garnish at the bottom, cutlets, respectively, in a double boiler) So, in order to pull this double boiler out of the bowl, I spun around it like a fox near a jug - it's hot, but there is nothing to pick it up with. It is impossible to use tongs, it’s just not possible to take it with a potholder - it slips, there is no protrusion in the basket, as a result, I stuck a knife between the steamer and the bowl, lifted it a little and grabbed it by the bottom of the pot holder. This is not the case, of course. Girls, how do you get the hot steamer out of this multi?
Manna
Quote: Fly in slippers
how do you pull out the hot steamer
Silicone gloves - they do not slip.
Fly in slippers
I have to buy, I don't have those. Thanks, I'll try! I already thought to the side "to pass a silicone string through the holes on a permanent basis and let it stick out - for it and pull to pick up the basket"
a lace like this:

Rituslya
Fly in slippersI haven't tried to cook anything in a double boiler. Now I compared a steam boiler from Panasonic and from Red, so it just doesn't fit. It's a shame!
What laces are interesting. In general, I wonder, but what are they for?

Make meat rolls, for example - they tighten them with these laces, or you can tie a bag for baking, or tie the chicken legs for the oven - everything depends on our imagination)))
Liza
The girls are cute! There is no strength to read everything now. I have had a Redmond 250 for a week now. Today I cooked cabbage soup according to a recipe, weighed the ingredients on an electronic scale .... And the cabbage soup ran away ... it was so scary! What to do???? How do I understand milk and soups "run"?
Rituslya
Liza,I also cooked cabbage soup on the "Soup" program, but I used the "Master Chef" function. First, I set the temperature to 105 degrees, and then lowered it to 95 degrees. Then I wanted to put it on the "Yearning", but they were already prepared.
And, to be honest, I didn't weigh anything. Everything by sight.
Liza
Thank you, Rituslya, I'll try. I will read about the programs carefully.
Rituslya
Liza, definitely try it. Everything will turn out. I was told that with an independent change in temperature and cooking time, the algorithm of the program does not change.
And here I’m thinking, and why she’s all on "Macaroni" squeaks. I can't think of it. Maybe he wants something? True, I still cook pasta only in it. Well, let it squeak if she likes it.

By the way, have you already mastered the function of a master?
I used it to prepare lagman - it turned out very cool!
Just do not add small noodles, for some reason it is not so tasty in a slow cooker with it.
Recently, I began to actively master this function. As a result, I saved the program for hodgepodge and lagman. I love . A convenient function, especially for those dishes where the temperature needs to be changed frequently.Anyway, any recipe can be corrected once and used further. Here I think some more complicated dish to "drive" into the multicooker while I'm in search)

Yesterday my husband and I bought this cartoon for ourselves .. for the action - it cost 6990 rubles .. I have not yet understood all the advantages - I will study .. and not only the cartoon. but I also took this page into the bookmarks .. Here I made semolina today - it didn’t work, more precisely in lumps - but I think that because of habit .. I’ll get used to it .. Now I put the charlotte - I’m waiting .. My husband was pleased with the deep-frying function. . I want to try yogurt and cottage cheese ...
Levitan
It makes no sense to cook semolina porridge in different multicooker, because it needs to be stirred. Skillful multi-cookers, of course, can cook semolina in a multi-cooker, but it's not as easy as other cereals.
Qvita
Tell me, when cooking soup according to a recipe, she splashes it out through the valve, this is so for everyone or my roof goes. After boiling, it is necessary to slightly open the lid and so on.
Manna
Qvita, it shouldn't be so! How much liquid is in the bowl? Before the "Soup" mode, was it roasted?
Qvita
Manna thanks for the answer.
I bought it just recently (about 3 weeks), so I'm still figuring it out, but at the same time, under warranty, you can change something.
Soups - the first was with homemade noodles, 1.5 liters of water, everything was according to the recipe, especially the weight (I even bought a kitchen scale), started to splash out through the valve. The second was a mushroom, in it already 2 liters, this is generally a waterfall. In both cases, the volume of the total bookmark did not exceed the marking of the bowl. Before the "Soup" mode there was no frying.
Potatoes in foil - instead of 1 hour, the time had to be increased almost 2 times, it was raw.
But not everything is so sad. Corn bread and side white recipe (baked) is great.
Classic biscuit and charlotte, also great.
Pilaf, stew - perfect.
There is also a minus - a very weak end sound (from another room it is not always audible), and the backlighting of the buttons is practically invisible during the day.
Manna
Soup shouldn't work like that! The thermostat is not working correctly.
Qvita
I will try to cook a couple more soups, if it is the same, I will change

I had the same garbage with soups! And everything else is in order, the situation is identical. It was in the spring. I took it under warranty - changed it, but at first I was "under repair" for a week. Since then everything is OK, it works without failures. So put your feet in hand and go!

As for the pots, that's for sure, I even closed the lid of the stove and put a multi on it, I just bought a powerful electric kettle to boil the tea.
Shamanka
Also recently I will not say "happy" owner of this multi.
I decided to buy myself a second cartoon as Panasonic's assistants
I tried to make rice strictly according to the recipe. Rice took "Jasmine" .... not boiled .... it feels like there just wasn't enough liquid.
Added more water and cooking time - became plasticine.
But that's okay ... flowers.
I took this cartoon exclusively from the delayed start and fell for the Masterchef. But I prefer not to waste away over the cartoon while cooking. I threw everything ... came ... and the food is ready.
So I can't start the delay start function ... I do everything according to the instructions ... the time appears .. but the cartoon does not turn on at the specified time !! I re-read the whole forum ... there is no such thing here .... maybe I'm just not pressing something magic ???
Help out .. did anyone come across such a problem ???
Manna
Shamanka, and you tell us in detail how you set the delay start.
Shamanka
In the menu, I select a program (for example, extinguishing). I set the cooking time, a luminous "delay start" button appears .... I set the time after which the cartoon should turn on and press start for a few seconds.
The time that I set for the delay is on the display. But .... the cartoon does not work after this time ...
Never had a problem with the technique.
But with this cartoon, I was immediately puzzled ... the instructions, for example, do not say anything that to start the program you need to hold the start for a few seconds ... and only in the book with recipes it was said ... intuitively on this screwed up :)))
Maybe there is such a secret with a delayed start?
Manna
Shamanka, I do not have this particular model, but usually it is not a delay in the start, but a delay in the end of the regime, that is, the delay time should be longer than the duration of the regime itself. Although ... it is possible that this feature does not work on your instance.
Levitan
Quote: Shamanka

... I set the time after which the cartoon should turn on
It is not right.

Quote: Shamanka

the instructions, for example, do not say anything that to start the program, you need to hold the start for a few seconds ...:
The instructions say (page 11):
The Delay Start function allows you to set Times of Day, for which the dish should be ready.
The multicooker has a clock that shows the current time. First, install them correctly (this must be done once, the clock does not go astray if you disconnect the multicooker from the network).
After choosing and installing the program, you need to set the time, not after how long it should be ready, but the time of day. Only, excuse me, I do not remember (and I cannot see it, because I am not at home) this is the start or end time of the program (from the instructions it looks like this is the end of work). But, after a little experiment with a minimum delay in starting, you will figure it out for yourself when the multicooker starts. Just experiment with the calculation so that the cooking time is less than the delay period. For example, it is now 21 o'clock, turn on (with water) the Soup program for 20 minutes, and set the time on the timer from 21-40. The multicooker will start working either at 21-20 or 21-40.

Example. If you set 7 o'clock on the timer, then the multicooker will start (or finish) working at 7 am, and no matter what time you turned it on the day before, at 2 pm or late at night.

As for holding the buttons. In multicooker (different companies) with touch buttons, the key buttons do not work immediately. This is protection. It is dangerous if the multicooker accidentally turns on (the child will hold his hand, the cat will run, the hostess herself will not notice how she touches).
And it's a shame if the multicooker accidentally turns off, especially if you didn't manage to detect at what point the program was interrupted.

Shamanka
Thank you for such a detailed answer on a sensitive topic ... I already wanted to call today, to be angry
In the evening today I will try this method. But in the instructions, as I recall, nothing is written about the time of day !!!
Levitan
The phrase "The Delay Start function allows you to set the time of day for which the dish should be ready."I copied from the instructions.

Yesterday I tried it by the time of day and oh, a miracle .. it all worked !!!
I got into the manual ... I almost reread it with a magnifying glass ... but I don't have it in the manual! It seems that these are 2 different translation options ... but from the very beginning, doubts crept in on this particular point ... because it is written very crookedly ...
And in the vastness of the Internet, I have already met such poor people, who were stupidly sent to re-read the instructions ...
Well..the secret is revealed ...... I think that this advice will also help someone who has the same instructions as mine)))

Irina, thank you very much for taking the trouble to retype the instructions !!!

Yesterday I brought RMC-250 home and cooked experimentally according to recipe # 25 Vegetable Fitness Soup. It turned out perfect. I really liked it. The wife did not say a bad word, but was skeptical about the purchase ... She took out a 600-gram piece of beef from the fridge and asked to cook it. The meat, he says, is harsh, mind you. Well, I took it into account. I poured some water to cover the meat, put an onion, peel the carrots, and salt a little. I put it on the "COOKING / BEANS" program, set the time to 2 hours .... After 40 minutes, something very tasty from the kitchen smelled. I walk in, and the floor is full of water, the table is soiled with coagulated protein. Fortunately, the window was ajar, otherwise, water would have dripped from the ceiling ... Well, there's nothing to do. I wiped the table, scraped off the beef broth, washed the floor ... Then, cooked for another 1 hour on the "STEWING" program, and in the morning another 1 hour on the same program ... I don't know what was left of this meat. I went to work. Yes, one more thing. I did not hear the signal about the end of the "process". Or not at all or very quiet ... In the evening I will cook something again. I'll tell you about my successes.
