Leska, Thank you so much!!!

Can you clarify? How much water and salt?
Tanyulya
I did it dry, by eye. It turned out delicious.

I am a dry ambassador in a marinator, I do the same as in a bag. For 1 kg of cucumbers - 1 tablespoon of salt. A little bit of garlic and chopped dill.

I still put leaves or a horseradish root. And chopped currant twigs.

And for some reason, these additives did not go exactly in this recipe, so I stopped at garlic and dill. Well it's a matter of taste

Can you clarify? How much water and salt?

I put salt in a pot of water at the rate of 2 tbsp. l. per 1 liter of water (for myself, since the bottom is too salty - I take salt-spoons without top), allspice 4-6 pcs., 1-3 cloves and bay leaf. Put on fire and bring to a boil. I cool the resulting brine. I pour it into the marinator. What is most interesting, in the marinator you don't really need to observe the proportions of the weight of cucumbers and pickle. If suddenly the cucumbers seemed less salty than you like, you can add salt and scroll again. By the way, lately the salt has been so strange: it’s sometimes salty, or not too salty

And chopped currant twigs.
but these twigs scratched my entire container. Now the leaves are in the marinator, and I throw the bare twigs into the boiling brine.
Antonovka
And it seems that the marinator was completely covered. I used it a little - it only spun more or less in one direction. Now the video is spinning, and the can, no matter how you arrange it, does not spin - it only rubs with a terrible sound. And this is in front of the NG table
Omela
And I broke down. At first, the pump stopped pumping air, I pumped it with a vacuum cleaner. And now the valve does not hold air. But now I have vacuum containers !!! And so I like it !!!!! For the night or even more, I laid it down and everything is ok!
Antonovka
So I also think that I will now only use a vacuum container
Caprice
Oh girls! All these newfangles, marinators, silicones and so on - all this is such nonsense! My marinator hasn't broken (yet, probably), but the impression is so fragile that it's scary to take it off the shelf and use it again. Moreover, with each new device, I am more and more convinced that our ancestors were not stupid, and more and more inclined towards traditional baking / cooking, etc.
Caprice
When I lived in Kiev, I baked everything in aluminum molds. And they moved here - other products, other water, other forms ... And somehow I don't want to lag behind life.
Everything, I will look for metal baking dishes.

Something in the subject of a calm, really played enough with marinators, but I just bought and the first day so many emotions and impressions. I made a super brisket, pickled cabbage, wings, today I will continue my experiments. The family is also delighted, although it took a very long time to decide whether he needed it or not, but since I cook a lot in an air fryer, this device is very useful. I studied the topic, thanks to Elena Bo for the wonderful recipes, and thanks to everyone, everyone. On your advice, I immediately lubricated the gaskets and did not panic if something did not work out.

Girls, I've looked over Temka again. It seems that it is necessary to lubricate here, well, and in the posts further in the text ...

Yes, girls, I mean it. At the second evacuation of air, the pump did not work well, the feeling that a piece of gum got in and interferes, here at this link I disassembled the pump and it turned out that the sealing gum shifted, interferes, even slows down, greased it with silicone oil and it all worked. And today I changed the pump to a pump from vacuum bags, it is larger and pumps out quickly, I put a rubber stopper on it from the marinator pump, if interested I can take a picture.

Household marinators
I decided to show the photo, maybe it will come in handy for someone. I bought vacuum bags at FIX price, removed the tube from the pump and sawed off the tip on which the tube was put on and put on a rubber stopper, it pumps out the air much faster.
Love.
Girls, I need your help. Cracks appeared on the flask of the marinator, somewhere in the topic I read about such a problem, but now I can't find it. Tolli should be handed over right away, or maybe left, but I'm afraid the cracks will increase and there will be no tightness, I've gotten used to it for these three days, everything turns out very tasty.
Caprice
Only three days to the marinator and already cracks? So we must quickly return it, let them change it!
Love.

I have already changed it, now I am afraid to pump out the air a lot, but if cracks appear on this flask, I will have to hand it over, possibly a defective batch.

Good day!
Thanks to our forum, I bought myself all kinds of equipment and thought that I already have everything! But I understood. I'm just dying without a marinator. Now I'm actively looking for which one to buy? The choice, in principle, is not rich - they are all of the same type. But I was very interested in the VES VMR-11 model. I saw in the subject that we have the owners of this model. I beg you to respond - what problems does this marinator have, how convenient is it in operation? Thank you in advance.

Prus - 2!
I also really wanted the 11th model, but firstly it was very difficult to find it, and secondly, the sellers of online stores very actively discouraged me from buying. They said that very often the automatic vacuum pump breaks down, and without it, accordingly, nothing will come of it. I ended up buying the 12th model and I'm very happy.

This post applies to almost all marinators that come with a hand pump
It is no secret that recently many users of marinators with a hand pump have been complaining about poor performance or defects in the latter. But to some extent we ourselves are to blame for the fact that the pump does not perform its function or fails. The reason is as follows: the pump consists of two pipes between which a rubber gasket is installed. So - it must be lubricated with a sufficient amount of grease to prevent friction and, as a result, biting the gasket between the walls of the pump.
Household marinators
This is eliminated by t. C. misunderstanding as follows:
We disassemble the pump
Household marinators
Lubricate the inner cavity of the pump and the rubber ring with petroleum jelly, glycerin or any other lubricant suitable for contact with skin (the ring does not need to be removed, we coat it around the perimeter)
Household marinators
We assemble the pump in reverse order.
It is desirable to carry out this procedure once a month (with frequent use of the marinator) or before starting work (with long-term storage)
I appreciate it . Everything turned out to be so simple and now everything

I licked my lips on this device for a long time and finally got it. Since this is a thing not as often used as, for example, HP, I decided to find it inexpensive. I ordered it over the Internet, in the one I checked, it cost me 770 rubles. with delivery. Of course, this is not VES, but only 9 minutes, but for now it will do. I'm training. In the meantime, I select the recipes

I also purchased a VES marinator. I also looked closely for a long time. A very necessary thing for me. Satisfied with the purchase, and the family with the speed of cooking and the excellent taste of the dishes after pickling.
Tatiana S.
I bought a ham "Beloboka" and a marinator "9 minutes" at the same time, I tried both.I can definitely say the marinator will be more in demand. Korean carrots were reduced at once. Today I brought pickled fish. Made 2 herring + 2 mackerels "in one bottle". 1 herring in the form of a fillet, and the rest in carcasses, only without heads and gutted. Yummy turned out mmm ..........
Navazelinyl pump - no vacuum cleaner needed. You swing 8-10 times - and complete order. Everything spins evenly at full load and at low load. While I'm happy with my purchase
Lagri
Yes, a marinator is a useful thing in the kitchen. I didn't even imagine that he could do so much that it would be so easy to cook delicious meals with him. A little earlier I bought Beloboka, and a marinator for Beloboka. It turned out that the marinator is full of work even without Beloboka. I am also very happy with my purchase and I don’t even know how I did without it before.
P.S. At me only sometimes it buzzes roughly, I don't know why. Maybe I'm not installing it quite correctly. And sometimes it turns one way or the other. I turn it off and on again. But more often it works fine. So I'm thinking whether to pay attention to this ... Maybe someone knows about the intricacies of the marinator? What should you pay attention to?

Thanks for the tip, Lyubushka. Today I also bought such a pump with a package at FIX price. I have already tried it, however, I did not saw off the tip, but simply removed the rubber tip from the marinator pump, pressed it tightly to the valve on the marinator cover, pressed the new pump against it, gently rocked it 3 times - that's all.

No, my buzzing seems to be always the same, but when I marinated the fish, the first 9 minutes. it spun in one direction, and when turned on again - in the other. But this did not bother me, since the same story is observed in my Klatronic ice cream maker.
irman
And I, too, first in one and then in another.
Lagri
Well, if I’m not alone, "now in one, then in another," then this is no longer a defect. And thanks for that. But about the buzzing (and, as it were, slows down a little), maybe the drum somehow moves when it starts spinning in the other direction. I also read that it can slow down due to the fact that the container is a little dirty, but it seemed to wipe everything well. Tomorrow I will again marinate the meat and check again for the wrong buzz.
irman
It may slow down if the weight of the product is large.
Lagri
Weight somewhere 0.6 kg - 1.0 kg, it seems not so big.

I put in 1.5 kg, it turns normally.
Tatiana S.
Together with the flask, I had more than 2.5 kg, surprisingly, I coped and did not even slow down

That means marriage, probably. I have a 1 year warranty on it, and 14 days have not passed since the date of purchase. You have to take it to the store, maybe they will change it.

At first, they will probably take it for repairs and if the factory defect, they will change it.
Lagri
And I thought that they would see when it was turned on, that it did not work correctly and would change it. It was necessary to properly check in the store. In the store, the seller turned on the base, the light came on and collected everything. I didn't even think then that there could be such a problem. Wow...

It just won't work.

Thanks for the warning. Now, at least not like snow on your head. And if you just pass, as a mistake of choice?
Lagri
What turns and slows back and forth?
irman
What slows down, but in different directions it should spin.
Lagri
It does not just spin in different directions, but in one place it slows down and does not budge, and then it starts spinning, then, after 9 minutes, it happens again, but not always. I don’t understand what it is: marriage or it should be so. I think suddenly this is the beginning of a serious breakdown.

When I turn on the marinator, it immediately starts spinning. If I do 2 cycles, it first turns in one direction. and on the second cycle to another.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
MashI don’t understand. Does he just slow down or get up straight? Does the base continue to rustle - does it turn or also stops?
Lagri
No, he does not get up, but slightly in one direction, then moves in the other direction several times, but does not make a turn. And then after a while it starts spinning. The base rustles. But this is not always the case. But it happens. This is what I don't like.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
Definitely change and not any nails. As I read, they change them without any problems. Looks like they know that for the most part the city is done.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
I also remembered, read that there are burrs on this protruding ring prevent it from spinning normally. Check to see if there are any pieces of plastic.
Lagri
So my husband found these burrs and said that they can interfere with working properly.
Ksyushk @ -Plushk @
They can be polished. If not very large, let the husband try to walk with a small skin. And if they are very large, then it is better to change.
Lagri
And we also saw the left rear wheel as broken, not whole. In general, I think it's still a marriage.
