Tell me, please, is it possible to wash cupronickel spoons in the PMM?

If they are really cupronickel. I bought mine as cupronickel, but it seems to me that they were deceived. Changed their color thoroughly.

my cupronickel also changed color to dark ... and they were bought 30 years ago, even by my mother-in-law in her youth. It seems that then they were cupronickel

We have cupronickel teaspoons and they turned black. Soda can't wash them

And mine says: "Throw it out!" They gave them to us

I found on the Internet an absolutely wonderful way to return the original color to cupronickel (also darkened). Put the aluminum in a small bowl. foil (food in rolls), put the cutlery, add 1 table. a spoonful of soda, pour boiling water from a teapot - they brighten before our eyes! I did this, everything brightened in a minute, then rinse, wipe and voila! No tedious cleanings, everything sparkles.

Girls, I also have cupronickel spoons, grandmother's too. Mine in pm, the color does not change if washed up to 60 C. If T is higher, they begin to change color, from bluish to incomprehensible dark.

AnastasiaK, thanks for the advice!
AnastasiaK
Exactly. These are the bluish brown ones that cleaned up! Try it, you won't regret it. Then I ran to my mother, cleaned her cupronickel, we have the same sets. The main thing is quickly and without unnecessary gestures. And this method is suitable for silver!
Albina
Anastasia, thank you for sharing great advice

But you can add - in Soviet times, you can collect foil from chocolates for such a purpose, and clean the family cupronickel. By the way, you can boil, and not just pour boiling water.

But the old cupronickel cup holders and vases, which have thoroughly gone out of their presentation after many years of felting in the shed, no longer lend themselves to this method. Zu6noy paste too, and I have not yet tasted ammonia in the absence.
Julia V
Girls with silver be careful. I decided to clean my silver bracelet, with ammonia, peroxide and something else, I don't remember. So he just became dull-light, and used to shine. so sorry, this is a gift from my husband. Now after wearing it shines again, but I won't clean it like that again. but the gold was well cleaned in this way.
gala10
Girls, for silver I use this way:
Pour 1 liter of water into an aluminum pan, add 1 tbsp. l. baking soda and table salt, bring to a boil and put silver in a boiling solution for 5 minutes. Then rinse in running water and wipe dry.
AnastasiaK
It turns out almost the same, only I now have a "problem" - there is no aluminum in use. pots, and alum. the foil, on the contrary, appeared in large quantities. So I did it with amendments, and in time it was very fast. Oh, even they probably deviated from the topic, but this is about cupronickel in a dishwasher, a topic about choosing a dishwasher.
Anya
Thanks everyone for the advice. Probably I will clean them without PMM participation

I can't help but rejoice! Three days ago I did not understand what pmm is! I came home from work in the evening, a pile of dishes (well, where does it come from), folded it and took out the smelling freshness.I really like these frosh pills! Yesterday I put half, I did not notice the difference. I like that there is no smell of chemistry, which is very important for me. thanks for the topic, before reading it, I thought the dishwasher was a stupid excess
gala10
fronya40, congratulations on your assistant with all my heart! May she live long and please the hostess!

Wow! 4 slow cookers, 2 yogurt makers, a double boiler, an ice cream maker, 2 bread makers are ok, and a dishwasher is overkill.
fronya40
Erhan, gala10, Thank you! yeah ... I remember my words 5 years (just simply) ago, I sit in a cafe like that and I'm clever, but why can't I wash my plate ...
and this is yesterday, instead of standing at the sink to wash the dishes, lie down, drink tea, read a book and get high !!!!

Oh, our regiment has arrived! Congratulations!
Only the other day I talked with two ladies, so one said that PMM is for the completely lazy, you can wash the plates and handles behind you.

Oh, Julia, I'm not talking anymore! They look like an alien, especially her husband's friends. They want to, let them wash, they can also wash them with their hands.

You should have seen how my husband PMM protects in companies.Although he never washed dishes, but peace of mind in the family is more expensive)))
Also hints to everyone about washing in basins.
fronya40
in general, everything is the same))) began with a bread machine - who is it boring, that the bread is not like that in the store, then the airfryer, but the oven does not suit? ice cream maker, yogurt maker, waffle maker, pancake maker, multicooker, pressure cooker ..... - how much "unnecessary" trash in their opinion I have acquired .... my employee asks, well, what does a dishwasher do so extraordinary? I answered, what does the washing machine do ... I washed it perfectly in a basin)))

My husband bought a dishwasher right after the wedding, otherwise, he says, you will ask me to help wash the dishes. I said that I can handle it myself. So, while I was not at home, he brought and installed it. The husband also advertised the bread maker. In the office, she says, they treated me to delicious homemade bread, so I quickly ran to the store for HP while my husband was not at home. Everything, I say, is for you, darling

No, I understand that if a person lives the same, disappears all the time at work, only comes home to sleep, so maybe he doesn't need PMM and nahfig. And here you are torn between home and work. Take it away, prepare it, feed it, take it to the kindergarten school. There are 5 people in the family, you have to simplify your tasks.

Have you ever tried it with gloves?
But still, gloves do not cancel necessity PMM!
Julia V
The gloves are somehow not right
gala10
Well, yes, it's very difficult to get used to it, but you can. And when you remember your beloved hands, it is very possible.
GenyaF
There are two of us in the family, and every half a month I am alone. I collect the dishes for 2-3 days and wash them in the PMM. Of course I can wash it with my hands, but why ... These people are strange, they are for me - aliens. And we are the most adequate!

For many years now I have not done anything around the house without gloves, I will not even wash an apple with my bare hands. This is my most essential kitchen trifle. Several packages are always in the kitchen, several in the bathroom, and for minor work I wear thin disposable ones.

Even with gloves, but you have to stand at the sink. There are only three of us, but now I'm a mountain behind the PMM. I also hear exclamations of some ladies: that it is difficult to wash three plates. I don’t know what and how they feed their family (not having kitchen helpers, moreover), but I don’t have three plates. Taking into account that we work full day, and the child is in the garden at this time, there is always enough dishes to wash. Here on Sunday we went for a walk with our daughters in the long-awaited sun. And my soul is warm: the pressure cooker bakes a charlotte for our return, and PMM washes the dishes after breakfast-lunch, and I WALK !!!!

Good day to all. Ask for advice on choosing a dishwasher. I liked two models, one siemens, the other elektrluks, and my husband siemens 45cm with a third box, but it seems to me that for a family of 7 people this will not be enough
Erhan
Elena, so gloves are not instead of a dishwasher, but together with it. There must be a dishwasher - this is an axiom that does not require proof. But you also need to wash the sink with the stove, and the fruits and vegetables - that's what gloves are required for. For 15 years my machine has been turned on every single day, and if there are guests, then 2-3 times a day.
Yes, we have a family - me, my son (all day at school) and my husband (constantly on business trips).
gala10
marisabelka, for a family of 7 people - PMM 45 cm wide is very small!

I agree that I have 4 people temporarily at home now - a full-size car turns on 2 times a day.
marisabelka
Yes, with this I have already decided 60cm and period, the problem is that it's hard to find a car with child lock. I was already tortured with the washing machine, and this is not somewhere in a closed bathroom, but in the kitchen! So far I stopped at Siemens 24d270, but the electrolux also likes there some kind of lower sprinkler interesting.

And in the children's department they sell blockers against opening drawers, why don't you want to use it?

Have you tried then to wash the glue from the stickies without damaging the surface?
marisabelka
Yes, it’s not the door, but the so inviting buttons. my youngest daughter will just push and twist. and it doesn't cost her anything to hold the shutdown button for 3-4 seconds to turn it off completely.

Take the PMM with a hidden control panel, there are no light buttons visible. The facade is simply hung on it and from the outside it is not at all clear that this is a PMM. As far as I remember, such PMMs have a spring (or something like that), with which the opening force is adjusted depending on the weight of the facade. Configure so that the child will not open.45 cm for 7 people is unthinkable. In my last, apartment was 45 cm for three - I worked 2 times a day, now there are four of us, I just choose PMM, but I don't even look at 45 cm.

Hello everyone!!! I have been reading the forum for a long time, but somehow there was not enough time, then opportunity, then reason to write everything. And the reason was found. My beloved husband made a gift for the new year !!! Or in another way, I begged PMM. It all started when the second child appeared, who is already 2 YEARS old in a month. I begged for a long time. I did not choose my assistant for long, the choice fell on BOSH and only BOSH. Washer is also BOSCH. Already 6 and a half years pleases me. They brought it, installed it just yesterday. Immediately I loaded it up (I didn’t wash the dishes since the evening, I saved up) and I go and look at it, I can’t wait to wash it. The result is interesting. And then she finished washing, I open and about the MIRACLE. What a dish, what a saucepan and a cup. Of course before that it was also clean. But after PMM is not comparable !!! There is no limit to my joy. Even my husband liked it. He wasn't very happy with the purchase, though. But now it seems that our assistant is beginning to love. Now I am a Real woman, not a dishwasher. The kitchen is clean and tidy, and I am sitting on the sofa with a tea and my favorite laptop, and most importantly, my hands are in order !!! Wow, I did it.
marisabelka
And also a question, they say teflon-coated pans cannot be washed in it, but with ceramic, how are you doing?
