Nikki_N, in the ranges we need, the temperature can be measured with a medical thermometer. You need to measure the temperature of the product. When I just bought a yoghurt maker, I checked it very simply - I filled a container with water, left it in the included yoghurt maker overnight and checked the temperature in the morning (it was 38 gurads).

Chinese yogurt makers Check it out!
Well, a yoghurt ice cream maker (hybrid) has recently appeared on the Ukrainian market under the Vinis TM.

And I recently got one with several jars and one large capacity (1-1.5 l) TM DEX (model DYM-108). Conveniently, I have never used jars, I ferment everything in a large one. Probably, this can be one of the elements of choice - the ability to put not only jars and a native container, but also some kind of vessels with a lid. From this point of view, Moulinex is not very convenient (only jars can be put in it), but the same tefal allows you to "play" with some rectangular dish.

Since the jars in my yogurt maker are plastic, I have already looked at the possibility of using glass jars for baby food (nestle) and regular mayonnaise jars. Fits 5 pieces, which may well suit me.
fugaska
Igor161, have you tried to make yogurt in a thermos? also an option, if not too lazy to put it in jars later
and the principle for all yogurt makers is the same: turn it on, ferment it, put it on, heat it up, take it out, put it in the fridge, well, and use it, you can use it with fruits, nuts and even garlic! choose by means and design
Igor161
Rina72! , and the hybrid of the yogurt-ice cream maker hooked me, I need to think about it! How much does it cost and can you tell more about making ice cream?

Fugaska, I did not try it in a thermos, although the idea is interesting - it can be realized, but for the money I count on 2500 + -500 r We saw Tefal and Mullineks in Rostov, but I didn't really like them, some small ones. Here we need to think about a hybrid. Although all products have their pros and cons.

Not quite on the topic of operation Once I saw a program about restaurants in Kiev, so in one rather prestigious institution they decided to reduce the calorie content of Ukrainian classic cuisine. One of the moves was to replace sour cream for pancakes / pancakes / potato pancakes with natural thick yogurt.

Igor161, have you tried to make yogurt in a thermos? also an option, if not too lazy to put it in jars later
I testify: at first, a thermos fully justifies itself (I didn't even need to put ready-made yogurt in jars - I used a liter jar, and from it the yogurt was sent directly into cups) and allows you to understand how much a yogurt maker is needed in the family.
Rina
Igor, what quantities of yogurt do you intend to cook?
I won't say anything about the hybrid - I haven't seen it live. But experience shows that 2 in 1 rarely works as well as each of the devices separately. Better to buy a good yogurt maker and a separate ice cream maker.

I once saw in a German catalog a yoghurt maker with two lids - one smaller and one larger. With a large one, you could put almost a 2-liter jar.
fugaska
I would not say that Moulinex is small: 1.5 liters fit if I use non-standard jars
here's another topic to explore: https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...ption=com_smf&topic=134.0
read a lot, but useful information is also enough

I think one liter will be enough, but we'll see.I agree with you that 2 in 1 is the wrong decision, and which yogurt maker do you think is good and of high quality?

Fugaska! Thanks for Temko: flowers: And 1.5 liters in Mullinex is already cool !!!

Many THANKS for the pleasant communication on the forum !!! Goodnight! tomorrow to work, that is, today. see you at the forum!

What a simple and smart solution !!!
And I didn’t think of it
I will also pour water, set the clock to 5-6 and measure my Mulenex)))
Thanks for the advice!

Rina72, I have Tefal - no, he does not allow to play around there in the center of the bowl is a rectangular ledge, which in the formed "trench" between him and the walls of the bowl allows only putting jars. I recently broke a couple of pieces, now I need to buy

Natty
It's easier to buy a couple of baby purees. I do in them, I don't see the difference.

did not finish ... such expensive equipment and such demanding dishes
Igor161
Hurrah! Yesterday I bought a yogurt maker for 7 glass 200 ml jars with a
automatic shutdown timer from 1 to 15 hours! Just what the family wanted !!!! We fermented the Miracle with yogurt - classic - it turned out to be a wonderful Miracle yogurt, (to taste one to one.) With apricot jam, which we ate with pleasure! a new batch is being prepared for the morning! This Sunday I'm going to get a yogurt maker for my daughter and son-in-law - a gift for 23 and 8. A total of 1390 p. You can put one container in it, you just need to pick it up in size, and also tried to put a horseradish jar - 260 ml came up in height with a margin. :) In general, I recommend it to everyone
maya2
And what kind of yoghurt maker did you buy, the automatic timer is very convenient, that is, you set it for some time, for example, for 5 hours and it turned off after 5 hours, did I understand correctly?
Igor161
You understood absolutely correctly - we set the operating time of the device from 1 to 15 hours, and after the set time has expired, it turns off, we take out the jars and put them in the refrigerator for cooling. In principle, you still have to go to the yogurt maker - is there a timer or not. Yogurt maker DAEWOO model DI-9261 with an electronic timer, 7 cans of 170ml (200 - to the brim) is more than that of Muli and Tefali, or you can use one container instead of cans. I bought it in Technosil, Rostov-on-Don.
Nikki_N
and I calmly put glass jars of 250 g each in my Moulinex - and everything is fine !!! 7 pieces fit.
Igor161
Fine! happy for you !!! I have nothing against Moulinex - I recently wanted it or buy it myself, but only with an automatic shutdown timer, unfortunately I did not find any here, but I found a deo-shka! - not expensive, voluminous and functional! And why - since all yogurt makers are arranged the same, I compared the volumes and number of jars (taken from the operating manuals of these yogurt makers) and the presence of a timer is on the one hand, and on the other hand, the price for the device, In our region they are roughly the following: tefal -2590 rub., Mulinex -1650 (1750) rub. severin - from Moscow - 1700 rubles (including delivery 650 rubles) and DAEWOO - 1390 rubles. - by the way, all yogurt makers are made in China
Nikki_N
The timer is certainly good ...
but I now dream that in the yogurt maker it was possible to set the temperature !!!!!
eh ... and why Moulinex didn't think of this before

Moreover, for that kind of money ...
Nikki_N
I have been making yoghurt from Meat and Milk Institute starter culture all week. I eat calmly, I don't even need sugar, everything is fine. But the husband is capricious, do you see the store he tastes better. So I found a way out: I grind banana + orange + kiwi (optional) + sugar in a blender - I stir it all with my yogurt - then he eats.
Here are some capricious men

Yes
I have a temperature of 41 degrees for 6 hours of staying there, so now I turn off after 4 hours and everything just stands there for 2 hours.
I don't know if it's good or bad ...
Igor161
yes that would be great! set the right time, worked, turned off and began to cool it herself, and we got ready-made chilled yogurt, which we ate with pleasure !!! these are my dreams! Maybe someday over time our dreams will come true, for example: bread makers and everything else ....!
fugaska
veranikalenanika , and have not tried to pick up non-standard jars? jars of different sizes are crammed into my mulineška: from baby food, honey, jam, coffee, etc. the main thing is that it fits in height (so that the lid closes normally) and of course in diameter. I honestly boiled one standard jar after about a year of using the yogurt maker, but I'm in no hurry to buy - I have a lot of other replacement jars in my arsenal
veranikalenanika
fugaska,
yes, I thought about it, but it's a shame to admit that we turned out to be a family of greedy people, even these jars that are included in the kit are too small for us, and if we take more, the top lid won't close, I tried on glass jars after mustard and horseradish, they would be just right they approached us, but they were too tall, and after the baby food, those that I saw in the store were very small, I read on our forum that from mashed potatoes The topic might work, but I did not see them in the store, I found a set of jars of 600 rubles on the Internet, but our yogurt maker itself cost 900 rubles. I also remember seeing in an elite shop where delicacies are all sorts of very beautiful jars of French yogurt, but the price of 120 rubles per 200 gr., In my opinion, is too much. so for now.
fugaska, thanks for the idea about honey, I'll go through the departments, maybe I'll find something there, honey won't be superfluous for sure.
fugaska
honey, mustard - there are many small jars, you can choose something more or less suitable
successful searches
Nikki_N
I also adapted other jars for my Moulinex, they are glass from ketchup, 250 g each - they are gorgeous for my yogurt maker, and iron lids with twists (if necessary, you can pour boiling water over, unlike plastic ones)
Hairpin
Alas ... I have a yoghurt maker for almost two years now, and I just can't get used to it. To be honest, I didn't waste much time ...
The last time I leavened the activism. Everything worked out in 11 hours. The jars were rotated about 20 degrees, and the vertical surface did not move. There was no serum on the bottom. But you can eat it only with jam ... It's delicious with jam. But so that the yogurt turns out like in a store ... I can't ... Probably, I will need to add sugar to the activation ...
Margo 333
Hello, I have a yogurt maker Moulinex. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong: I boil milk 2.5%, cool it to a warm state, add live Activia without additives, mix well, pour it into jars. As a result, yoghurt is not quite uniform in consistency. Yesterday I did it for the first time, I held it for 7.5 hours. Today I put it at 5 o'clock and in both cases it turned out like yoghurt, but on the sides (not on top), along the glass, whey. Jars when taken out are not hot, lukewarm. I don’t understand what’s wrong.
fugaska
overexposed your yoghurt a little (if the whey separates). try to check readiness earlier, do not wait 7 hours.
Margo 333
Now I looked more closely, there was some kind of water, and a heterogeneous structure, like small little grains. And if you kept it less, it was very liquid. I specifically checked: I took out the jar, tilted it and it was immediately clear that it was not yogurt. So I'm thinking of trying to make with more fatty milk and replace the sourdough with another. In our city there are no starter cultures in pharmacies, I'll try either on Agusha or on linex. Better yet, both at the same time. I will unsubscribe about the results
fugaska
Try changing the milk - the consistency of the resulting yogurt depends on its quality
and also write in your profile where you are from - it's more convenient
and on linex, excellent yogurt turns out, in any case, I take milk that does not last long, and by the way I never boil it - it's lazy for me, and I don't like the taste of boiled milk

Yoghurt maker - selection, reviews, questions about operation (1)

Vladislav31
Hello! Somehow, while reading the forum, I came across a description of a yogurt maker that you can't buy from us (I live in Moscow), but very convenient since its capacity is 2 liters. I decided and ordered it from eBay (through an intermediary). I waited 4 weeks and got this miracle of water.

🔗

I use the sourdough evitalia, milk 0.5% "New Isis" rag.
There is nothing unnecessary to count on one bottle of Evitalia for 2 liters. I bet for 11-12 hours. It turns out 2 liters of excellent yogurt (a spoon is worth it), I leave part for re-fermentation. I also ordered an additional container (in reserve), which can and should be started up. The set includes a convenient thermometer (allows you to control the whole process) and a bag for cheese. The container itself is inserted into the yoghurt maker and water is poured between the walls, resulting in uniform heating.
Power supply 120 volts, I had to buy an adapter. In general, I am very satisfied.
PeNkA_kA
in recent days, I began to notice that my Mulinex began to overheat ... from below - cottage cheese, from above - under-leaven ...
tomorrow I want to try to put down that pad, about which they wrote somewhere here ... a question to the owners of the flossies - did anyone have such overheating?
overheating also from my sister and friend - all three of us bought yogurt makers.
Midnight lady
PeNkA_kA
I, having read the advice on the forum before buying a yogurt maker, immediately put a couple of paper napkins and a thin pad that was in the box in the Moulinex yogurt maker. There were no problems with overheating, if only she forgot to get yogurt on time. For yoghurt on Activia, Actimel or similar store-bought yoghurts, the cooking time I have is 5 hours in summer and 5.5 hours in winter. For yogurt at the Yogulakt pharmacy - 11 hours.

Vladislav31, bro, I've already had this for two years, only there is no evitalia,
I use our leavens.
But as you make yogurt, you sweep the thing - 2 liters ...
Vladislav31
Waters you inspired me to buy this miracle. Thank you!!!
I was just looking for such a capacity and came across your message, I waited for a long time, it was not cheap, but I am very pleased and I do not regret it. No jars, just 2 liters. For such a volume, 1 portion of the leaven is designed.
Teen_tinka
Young people, there are simpler yogurt makers ... "Vinis VY-1000 yoghurt maker for 1 liter ... without jars ... without a bag ... also water is poured according to the instructions" .... but of course you are great ... 2 l of yogurt per day !!!! Bravo!!!!!!

Good afternoon!!! For several days now I have been the happy owner of the Orion yogurt maker. A couple of times I tried to make yogurt and nothing came of it, it turned sour, so I decided to see what the temperature was in it, it turned out after 30 minutes of heating the temperature was more than 65 degrees (then the thermometer ends). Please tell me, is this NOT NORMAL? I read that the temperature should be about 40 degrees .. and here is such a catch ... is it really a marriage?
Rina
Brownie, it's still a marriage, if in such a short time such a temperature rises. Contact the seller, they may be able to change without unnecessary trouble. Or you will have to carry it to the service, repair it (if it can be repaired) or get an opinion on a manufacturing defect and again change it.
Rimma71
Hello! I specially registered to share my, so to speak, improvement of the yogurt maker. I have had Moulinex for half a year, but I immediately noticed that when making yoghurt, the contents of the glasses were too warm! Measured - it reaches 45 degrees. I was upset, because they said that Mulya does not overheat, it is only Tefal. In short, my husband bought a thermostat, I insert its sensor into the yogurt maker along with the jars, it is electronic and maintains the set temp. Now my yoghurt is perfect !!!
Rina
Rimma, photo and place of purchase of the thermostat in the studio! Pliiizz ...
Rimma71
You can see it on the forum "My bread machine" in the section household appliances, etc., yogurt maker, page 13
The thermostat is the most common, any brand will do. They bought me some kind of unknown brand on the radio market. We live in Kiev. It has a temperature range from +100 to -55 degrees, but I think it can be less. My power is 3.3 kW. The digital thermostat is called TR-2, "Perun", the feeling that it is being assembled on the same market. But it works, we are happy. It cost about UAH 150 last year. Good luck, write.

I tried to insert a photo!
Domovenok
And tell me exactly where you measure the temperature (in the yogurt itself, just in the yogurt maker) .. otherwise I’m already confused in my yoghurt itself the temperature is sometimes about 45 degrees, in the yogurt maker about 48-55, and if you put the thermometer on the bottom of the yogurt maker, so generally goes off scale
Rimma71
I put the sensor on the bottom of the yogurt maker near the light and the switch, it's always the hottest place!

Well, take me into your ranks ....... The day before yesterday I brought my yogurt maker Ariete M85, yesterday I was already with yogurt
What can I say, I put it at 8 o'clock, it was just that there was no one at home to put it in the refrigerator earlier, I added the Yogurt starter from Vivo, there is also the same one only with lactulose, I liked it .... I still eat and drink this and you can add to salads ... but my son did not really like it ... he expected it as in the Danone store or other yogurt ... in general, he was a little upset, he said that he looked a little like kefir, but he did it doesn’t like ......... my daughter must also appreciate ..... I will put fruits there

Svetik_, tell me, how do you like the yogurt maker? I looked after her too, I want to buy it, but it hasn’t worked yet ...
Svetik_
Svetulya..... the son-slug is already quite adult ... 11 years old, we will somehow overcome the teenager, and the little one has not yet seen or tried, because we had atopic dermatitis, we did not have a lot of things at all, i.e. everything that goes with sweetness will suit her, you can have fruits, you can jam, but just a little bit ... you can't have a lot of sugar ..... you can teach her ... I think she will like it
I liked the yogurt myself, I will buy bifivit, vitalact, symbilact and more cottage cheese - at what time and try with different tastes and then I will probably stop at something

OlenaS I liked the yogurt maker, although there are 6 jars, I will buy 6 more and will be replacement, I will look at different cheaper jars or mayonnaise
fugaska
Svetik, I adapted my jars! from mayonnaise, baby food, jam, honey - the main thing is to get up in height!
Rina
And if the yoghurt maker is round inside (without the exact location of the jars), then you can put a small round jar with a lid.
