While looking for the necessary pens, I came across a LIGHT PEN (with illumination, apparently). Thinking about your opinions? It seems to me more like a toy than a utilitarian meaning, isn't it?
🔗
The utilitarian meaning is incomprehensible. Well, the handles are glowing - but in order to take something you need from the closet, you still need to turn on the light?
I understand when you just need to indicate a place with a glow - a switch or there is something that needs to be bypassed. At the dacha, I marked the corner of the inner staircase with luminescent tape, against which everyone fought in the dark

Do you already have such scotch tapes?
We have illuminated switches at our dacha (my husband bought it by accident), very convenient and unobtrusive light. Doesn't interfere with sleeping
Anna67
In the hallway like that. I think to put such in the corridor too, there you won't find a long wall in the dark, let alone in rooms where he put his hand from the door behind the closet and here he is a switch
My truth does not shine so brightly that only in complete darkness you can pay attention. Hopefully now more interesting models have appeared.

there is. Cost a penny, by the way. Sold in all sorts of little things and in hardware stores.

In general, today they brought a bed (I already ordered it with the assembly), at the same time, having smiled sweetly and fed them with compotik pies, I received this :))))))))))))) They also picked up the sink. Almost like Bodrov's "what is the strength, brother?" Strength in the recipe for pies on a bread maker)

Wow, wide That's what I no longer like about my furniture so it's the height from the floor. At first I was glad that now the cats would not get there, then it became more important that I could get through only with the slotted nozzle of the vacuum cleaner ...
Kivi
Anna, my Masen happily seeps under the bed and stomps and rustles there. Moore has no ass, I tried) I did, I bent something with the size. I should have taken less, I guess. Although - a lot is not enough) But how to clean UNDER the bed (and under the kitchen) is a big question.

Much less? How many is there, 160? Most popular size. 140 is already much more inconvenient.

I have, yes, for me and two cats, it’s sometimes not enough, and my husband is on the couch.
Under the kitchen, robots crawl (twisted their legs higher), although these legs interfere with him, of course. But the bed and sofas ... I bought a flexible and flat mop, but I haven't used it yet.

What is the optimal leg height for robots? Now we are designing furniture. I measured mine - 10cm. And the legs are also 10, and the next in height - 15cm. Is the bed no better without legs? Just a box. standing on the floor?

Here it also seemed to me at once that the 1.8 width.

Anna1957, theoretically should be enough if the floor is flat. And then I seem to have a robot no more than ten, and ten legs (they crawled to measure), since it will rest under the cabinet with a tower ... Now we are doing nonsense: we are trying to raise a filled corner cabinet higher on one side of which there is a stove, and on the other a sink , and which is already bonded to the rest.

That is, do not consider the 10-cm legs? Or can you twist these 0.5 cm? I am choosing legs now, I have not bought it yet.
Anna67
Anna1957, they seem to be any obliged to twist. In any case, I did not see 10.5 on sale.
Anna1957
Anna67, so yours clings due to the fact that the cabinets are fixed? Would you have passed it like that? It is clear that there are no 10.5 legs, but I do not know how much 10-meter legs can be twisted.
Anna67
Anna1957, it gets stuck because of the floor, passes easily in front, and closer to the wall the height of the legs is less - the tabletop was set in level.
Well, 0.5, then for sure you can twist, but the old cabinet did not give us 12 New, then at least to raise up to 15 is not a question ...
Anna1957
Clearly, then you can take 10cm.
Anna67
Anna1957, there in the description there should be about the adjustment, for example, to the standard 10, 12 and 15 Load: 100 kg Height adjustment: + 15 / -9 mm Material: plastic... And then you never know ...
Anna1957
Anna67, thanks, I will ask the prodov. Although they are usually not ale. I here asked a seller in a furniture accessories store, and they proudly told me that there were no sellers here
Katya1234
Anna1957,
I would take the legs with a margin. Better to be slightly higher than the vacuum cleaner gets stuck. On a bed that stands without legs on the floor, I would hit the bottom when approaching it. Think about it. But you can get used to everything.

Yes, probably. And I saw such beds with boxes from the floor in stores, but did not think about the convenience of approaching it.

Whether the bed is with or without legs, it depends where you will have the usual bruises - on the front of the lower leg or on the toes

Olga VB,
I have a bed without legs - I don’t fight or even try.
Olga, that's good!
We have a sofa on legs from IKEA at home. No daily experience. But in some hotels such beds came across - from habit it was inconvenient to approach.
Anna67
I somehow did not notice the difficulties of the transition, it's not a sink to get close, turned around, sat down and lay down.
Bijou
And when do you cover-fill? I hate solid walls too. On everything - on the bathtub, on bedside tables, on beds, or even on some homemade kitchen cabinets.
Anna1957
I bought a lifting mechanism. The base is assembled, I did not see the legs. Does this design exclude legs? I am not very much in the subject, from the very beginning I imagined a box without legs. And now she thought. Everything has already been calculated, on Mon we will order a cut.
Anna67
I have them such that nothing but fingers will fit. It's easy to fill - stick a sheet between the mattress and the body, that's the whole dressing. It is even easier to clean (well, if I clean it at all, not throw a blanket over it) - I grabbed it under the bed. True, the lifting mechanism is heavy especially for the descent, therefore I am not fond of daily spreading.
How easily we switched from kitchen furniture to bed
Anna1957
I will report on the legs. Round - yes, they twist. And I need square ones. There is a height of 12cm - just under the Rumba.
I also want to ask, although this is not exactly kitchen furniture, but the topic is visited. You need an inner handle with a lock for a folding bookcase door to the bathroom. Share your experience, who knows. What is the correct name? How to score in a search engine?

Girls need help. Once I already made a kitchen plan, but then the computer broke down and the plan sank into oblivion ... Now my husband is pushing to make a kitchen. We must take the bull by the horns)))) But I can't draw it in Pro100, SweetHome. either I have hand hooks, or there just aren't the sections I want. I decided to draw by hand. I used to want a kitchen made of wood, but I was persuaded. Which facades are better matte or glossy in terms of maintenance? and MDF or plastic?
Here's a plan if anyone has a desire to play around. The kitchen is combined with the living room. There is a sink under the window. From the window to the hood 1050. You can move it to the left, but not to the right (there is a gas pipe). From technology, a tabletop oven (I do not plan to change to a large one, since the size suits me), a dishwasher, a microwave oven, Kenwood, SKV, MV, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, an oval dark wood table. The rest of the gadgets are hiding. SLE and MV can also be hidden.
An apron made of tiles of this dark color (at the bottom of the picture)

she has inserts as in this picture
Furniture for kitchen
here I have something like this happened.
Furniture for kitchen
The dimensions of the walls are from left to right. 1640 * 3820 * 4330 (to the door). There is an intercom and automatic machines near the door. Below is a switch. The window sill is almost 40 cm. The uppermost cabinets are in question. So I wanted to hide the pipe from the hood, since the holes above the refrigerator are about. It is all the same to pull there, since it is impossible to punch in another place because of the gas pipe outside. Therefore, I came up with this option. Ceiling height 3 m.
In the corner by the window there are corner drawers.
What do you think?
Chamomile
From my experience, the facades are neither glossy nor dark. I had a maroon glossy kitchen - tin care. Every speck is visible, every splash, even the flour got out and flour settles on the surface of the door and must be wiped off. Now a matte film for a light wood. I am very happy! Nothing is visible on this surface, easy to clean. There are bright curtains on the windows, I bought red chairs, and a bright tablecloth. The kitchen is smart and bright.

Are you sure that all this variegation of painted inserts on the apron will be appropriate in this version?

And so yes, I am both for plastic and matte. Although MDF under acrylic can look more elegant. So, in any case, at the discretion of the hostess.) If she is extremely neat, then you can also have an acrylic gloss, and if like me, then ... at least you can rub the plastic with Sif from a dried drop.

I’m afraid they’ll "screw up" (sorry). albeit washable. I want an apron only on the wall with the stove.
Bijou
I'm not talking about the wallpaper on the apron.) But about the style.
kseniya D
Evgeniya, do I understand correctly that the apron is brown with inserts, and the rest of the walls are gray? In my opinion, gray with brown does not go well. Maybe there is just a panel next to the stove that matches the style of the gray stone?
Vinochek
The opposite wall is made of the same brown wallpaper. Therefore, they will be combined, in addition, the apron will only fit in the corners with gray wallpaper. It so happened that the kitchen wallpaper matches the color of the wallpaper in the living room, and the pattern matches the wallpaper of the staircase. Therefore, at the junction of brown and gray, very much even looks nothing. In addition, tiles were applied.
The combination looks good.
Wit
The combination of colors from the point of view of "compatibility" may simply not be pleasant. I was given a design project here. Didn't like the color of the apron, floor and countertop. I checked the table for compatibility. Everything is correct. Combines with the color of the facades.
Well, I don’t like it !!! Even if it doesn't match.

I'm more interested in the opinion on filling the kitchen. Can anyone have ideas, rearrange something, remove it, swap it? Since this option is not at all what I wanted initially. It came already by rearranging the existing furniture in the kitchen. In the evening I will also sign the boxes, which one is for what.
And yes, the most important thing. I'm left-handed. This is important when arranging furniture.Since it is inconvenient for me to stir something with my right hand, for example.
Cirre
Are there any significant differences in cuisine for a left-hander or for a right-hander? And is it worth considering such a feature when designing a kitchen.

The kitchen should not only be beautiful, but also comfortable, ergonomic and as functional as possible. The kitchen, as a rule, has been used for at least 10 years, so its choice should be approached responsibly.

To create a high-quality kitchen project, you need to have experience, know a lot of technical features, mechanisms and materials, take into account the individual characteristics of the residents of the house, up to gastronomic preferences, and all this is multiplied by the design taste and a successful kitchen project in your pocket. Our articles are aimed at transferring our experience to you so that you can cope with this difficult task yourself.

So whether or not to consider when designing a kitchen is a right-handed or left-handed future owner. In our opinion, it is not only desirable, but also necessary to take into account, and not only in the kitchen set, but also in all furniture.

A few tips from our designers.

Analyzing kitchen projects, we came to the conclusion that:

1. The most elementary thing is light. If for a right-hander the light should fall from the left side, then for a left-hander the opposite is true;

2. Handles on kitchen modules should be placed for left-handers on the right side. Of course, take into account both the appearance of the headset and the functional purpose of the modules, some modules are used often, and not rarely, somewhere this rule can be sacrificed;

3. Bowl at the sink. It is more convenient for a left-hander when the bowl is on the right, and the place for drying food or dishes is on the left, for a right-hander, vice versa.

4. When designing a kitchen set, furniture zoning is divided into 3 sections: 1) storage, 2) washing, 3) cooking. For right-handers it is convenient when this sequence is implemented clockwise, for left-handers - counterclockwise.
5. When placing kitchen modules, pay attention that it is more convenient for a left-handed person to take items with his left hand, if possible, place storage sections that are used as often as possible on the left side, for example, a drawer for storing cutlery, detergents at the sink, sections for sauces, spices , spices, etc.
The kitchen is not just furniture, the kitchen is a dwelling place, a place for creating food and, in the end, this is your convenience for more than one year, do not neglect ergonomics for the sake of design.

In-in. that's why I wrote about the left hand. Thank you for the article!
