Please respond, who in our cartoon bakes chocolate on boiling water, has not baked for a long time and forgot - 50 minutes. baking is not enough, I remember adding the time. Now I just put a full portion of biscuit.
If the question is still relevant, I usually put it on baking 2 times for 50 minutes.
nastya-sid
Girls, but how to find a recipe for this chocolate on boiling water, I also want to try
Raven
Girls, thank you all for chocolate, kept on baking for 85 minutes, but it could have been even longer. I stood a little more on the heating and then just turned off, jumped out perfectly. This time, the smell of oil interferes with the taste, but this is probably a bad oil, or maybe it was necessary to put at least (1/3 tbsp.)
Husband
Greetings to lovely ladies!
Please help with advice.
As a result of a protracted business trip and the absence of a wife nearby,
solved the power problem by buying a multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD, but ...
not everything was so simple.
The first problem is simply the horribly strong smell of rubber or plastic.
Tried to solve like this:
three times he turned on the steam cooking mode, poured water 1/3 and boiled for 15 minutes.
The result has not given anything yet - it smells strong.

The second problem - there was ready-made chicken meat, I decided to use it as a "Pilaf",
put meat, carrots, garlic, rice. poured water on top about 2 cm.
Turned on the mode - / Pilaf / - 40 minutes - the result - the water did not boil away, the rice was undercooked.
I immediately switched on this mode again, the result is that the rice is overcooked, dry.

Help a temporarily lonely man not to die of hunger and not break out of anger
maybe a good slow cooker.
ElenaB
Husband, I can say about the smell (I have other Polaris models) it will fade after a while, all multi have a smell at the very beginning, try to wipe the whole cartoon (add a few drops of lemon to the water), I personally leave a new cartoon open for a day, so that the smell slightly weathered - try leaving for example overnight with the lid open.

The first question is how many ingredients did you put in?
The second question - what kind of water was poured cold or hot?
If there are relatively many ingredients and the water is cold, then 40 minutes. may not be enough. When preparing a dish for the first time, you still need to control the process. Maybe add some water, maybe add time, or maybe turn it off early. And when you fill your hand, then you can do it in the machine.
Edems
Husband, consider that strong foreign odor from plastic or rubber is toxic. Maybe it's better to hand over a low-quality product? I bought a scarlet teapot a year and a half ago, the plastic also stank, so this smell has not gone anywhere. I put it aside and do not use it. You don't have to wave your hand at such things and neglect your health. Think about how to take care of yourself. And yet, get used to buying your own things a little more expensive than the cheapest - miracles do not happen. A normal Panasonic multicooker costs 1150 UAH. I'm just sure that the difference that exists between normal things and cheap ones will be frustrated in literally a week, a maximum of two (if you are very economical). Good luck. It turns out your cartoon is not cheap yet. Well then, advice, just take more proven brands.
Husband
ElenaB, thank you for your feedback.
Today I put it on multi-cook mode for 45 minutes. he poured water into the bowl and threw a lemon.
The smell is still present when heated. I examined everything, it feels like it smells exactly
sealant (elastic band).Of course, I can tolerate, so long as it is not toxic and harmful and eventually ceases to bother
it would be desirable as soon as possible.

ZagAl,

The amount of rice is a 200-gram mug. Brown rice with min. processing. on the pack it is written - bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 35 minutes.
Poured water at room temperature over about 2 cm.

Damn, but the smell scares more. and there is clearly nothing burning, well, there is no wiring, no element, this is after warming up the gum ...

Hand over, so it's not a fact that I'll buy it better ... Redmond for two pieces. expensive?

Isn't it possible that no one with this model has come across this?
Ligra
Strange, usually the smell goes away. Usually, the smell comes on when heated in new multicooker, the heating element burns. They also wrote on the forum that they wipe the lid and silicone seal with acetic acid 3%, they also make baked goods with vanilla or with lemon - it helps. On a friendly forum, there was also advice to lubricate the silicone seal with vegetable oil, but this is when strong odors are absorbed during cooking (pepper, garlic, spices, etc.)
Angela88
I bought this slow cooker about two weeks ago and there was no smell in it at all.
Angela88
I still have this question for everyone. I put the stew on the stew function. I still look at the cartoon all the time to find out how it works. At first everything boiled there, then I looked in, and there was no stirring, just the meat was lying in the water and you couldn't see that it was stewing. It seems that the temperature is very low. So half a day will have to extinguish it
How does this program work for you?
Sveta @ V
Trust the cartoon))) Her extinguishing is excellent. The program includes a cyclic increase / decrease in temperature. There were times when I put goulash from the freezer, previously washed, there was no time to defrost .. Everything is ok
Husband
Yesterday I put yogurt for the night (recipe from here 🔗)
I tried (though not completely cooled down), not happy.

Now I am making oatmeal ready-made.
2 multi-glasses of oatmeal, a handful of raisins, about 0.5 litas. boiling water from a kettle.
As I understand it for all 30 minutes. what I set, the program only brought it to a boil a few times and then
just clicked. For all 30 minutes. the temperature indicator was on yellow dots.
While he was writing, readiness signaled. I opened it: There was a little water left, mixed it, left it on heating now I'm going to try it.
Husband
So Ladies and Gentlemen - the verdict on oatmeal:

Of course, it turned out to be slightly undercooked, but
cooked for the first time, added salt and oil just before use,
did not let me stand.
I think that if you leave it overnight with cold water, salt, sugar and possibly butter immediately
I fully admit that it will be infused overnight and will calmly finish on this mode by the morning,
especially if you stand on heating.
In time I will try it on milk.
As for the smell of plastic-rubber, it seems to have become less, but this mode did not boil the contents intensively,
I'll check it later.

In general, this situation has already been discussed. It turned out that the grease burned (like for conservation). Over time, the smell disappeared. And the sealing gum is made of silicone and should not have any odors when heated. It's easy to check - remove the lid and boil separately. Smell. It will immediately become clear whether unpleasant odors come from it or not. If the reason is it, change it at a service center.

Now I am making oatmeal ready-made.
2 multi-glasses oatmeal, a handful of raisins, about 0.5 litas... boiling water from a kettle.
For one serving, I take 2.5 tablespoons of oatmeal and 250 ml of liquid, that is, 5 tablespoons - 0.5 liters liquids. Without tweaks, you can put at least two portions into our multicooker and at the same time the water / milk ratio = 2/3, that is, two parts of water and three parts of milk (otherwise it can run away). If I make one portion in silicone containers, then I take pure milk. Like here:

Well, if everyone is friendly here ...
ZagAl, where is this special. silicone saucepan where are they sold?
Did I understand correctly that water is being poured into the bowl, and in the container is porridge with undiluted milk?

Can I use ready-made modes in this multicooker?
For example, yesterday I poured 1/2 water and turned on the soup mode for an hour - the water did not boil so much.

So I'm planning to do something like "PETI", what part of the lamb to take, what other components and
the main thing is on what mode to cook this business?
ZagAl
Husband, yes, water is poured into the multicooker bowl for better heat transfer, and put a small container in this water. You can ceramic, you can metal, you can silicone according to the size of your portion. You will find all this where the dishes are sold. And since it is cooking like in a water bath, pure milk will not run away. That is, porridge can be cooked in undiluted milk. Only adjust the time according to your portion and your taste.

Quote: Husband

Can I use ready-made modes in this multicooker?
I understand that ready-made modes - this is when I turned on the mode and without changing anything, we press start. If so, then of course. However, remember that the default cooking time corresponds to a standard portion. Perhaps it should match the recipes in the attached recipe book. I never thought about it.
Quote: Husband

For example, yesterday I poured 1/2 water and turned on the soup mode for an hour - the water did not boil so much.
Firstly, in our multicooker, the countdown begins (mostly) immediately after pressing "Start". It takes some time until the temperature set in the program is reached. And the more liquid, and the lower the initial temperature, the longer this time will be. That is, at small intervals of time it can really happen that the desired temperature is not reached. This must be taken into account.
In your case, the water was boiling, of course, you just did not notice it, since you obviously opened the lid at a time when there was no boiling. The fact is that when the set temperature, in this case 100 degrees, is reached, the heating element turns off. The temperature begins to decrease slowly and when it reaches, for example, 95 degrees, the heating element will turn on again. Etc. That is, it turns on and off. You can see my previous posts where I gave temperature graphs.

Husband
I continue my comments, if somewhere I am mistaken, I will be grateful for clarifications and advice.

As for the yogurt that has already been completely cooled in the refrigerator, I'm still not happy,
made strictly according to the recipe indicated above. Well, just thick curdled milk with sugar, nothing more.

Today I cooked buckwheat, one glass (200 g) of cereal and two glasses of water (400 g) at room temperature.
I set the ready-made "groats" mode for the first available time of 40 minutes. Because I was going to leave and did not want to leave the device in operation.
Without finishing the cooking process in about 7 minutes. MV switched to heating mode, as I understood it due to boiled water, which made me happy.
So the instruction is not lying. He returned after 2 hours, opened it and saw that everything was in order, connected it, warmed it up and ate it with appetite.
For the night I decided to experiment with a delayed start.
With oatmeal, ready to use.
I cut a banana, having previously greased the bottom with vegetable oil,
1m. a glass of cereal + 2 glasses of spring water.
We will watch and try.

P.S. Good people, I drew attention to the concavity of the bowl, that is, an ordinary pan for the stove would be considered spoiled. Is this normal for CF?

This is normal. The heating element has a built-in spring button with a temperature sensor. The bottom is especially concave under it.

I cooked my first yogurt according to the same recipe. It turned out the first time, as in the pictures. It is necessary to select the right milk and donor starter culture. By correct I mean good milk, tested without any dry additives. And if we take the activity, then we mean "spoon" activity. Some take the curd version without looking. Such yoghurt will not work. I take ultra-pasteurized milk 3.2% -3.5% at an average price, I do not risk taking very cheap milk. And spoon activations with different tastes, and natural. But more often I ferment with sour cream (good, of course, without the addition of fats and oils).

This is normal. The heating element has a built-in spring button with a temperature sensor. The bottom is especially concave under it.
I will add to the above. When there is a cooking process in a thin-walled metal dish (and our bowls are), there is always a temperature difference. Where contact with the heating element is higher than inside, where food is in contact with the bottom. That is, a temperature difference occurs, and therefore the metal tends to deform. And if the bottom of the pan were flat, then it would bend towards a higher temperature, that is, outward. To prevent this from happening, the bottom of the thin-walled dishes is bent inward during manufacture. And now a heating element is made along the bottom profile. Therefore, the question arises of the compatibility of bowls from different manufacturers. The bowl should fit not only in height but also along the bottom profile. It is very easy to check this. You need to boil the water and see how evenly the bubbles are distributed over the bottom surface. If evenly, then the contact is good, if in separate foci, then the contact is bad.
Husband
The porridge on the ready mode with a delay turned out quite well,
the banana was really there.
The deferral works fine.
Tell me, besides the "steam" mode, what else counts the time after warming up (boiling)?

about the unpleasant smell when cooking.
Oddly enough, the silicone seal still smells
at a higher boil, now much less, but
it already seems to me that the food is saturated with this smell.

Hello! On my cartoon, the modes "oatmeal", "pizza", "frying" also work this way. The next morning I make a "male" version of breakfast, it can come in handy: I cut out the frozen puff pastry in a circle approximately the size of a MV saucepan, smear it with ketchup, throw in any ingredients (to taste) and fill it with cheese. 5 hours delay, I set the "pizza" mode for 30 minutes, then the heating is turned on. In the morning with coffee and hot - the most relish! Another recipe: veal + grated carrot + onion + pearl barley, salt and spices to taste, stewing mode 2-2.5 hours. You can also put on a delay, at the same time the pearl barley will swell. Rinse the barley beforehand. An alternative to pilaf in the harsh conditions of the absence of a hostess.

Angela88

Milk 3.2 - 3.5% 1 liter, 2 tbsp. spoons of sour cream 20%, 3 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar.

Milk and sour cream at room temperature, I mix everything, pour it for 8 hours.
Me and 3 tbsp. I throw spoons of sour cream (when it is like), fat content is usually 20%, I tried both 25% and 15%, stopped at 20%.
It turns out thick yogurt. Although it is more correct to call it "sour cream product". Because, yoghurt starter cultures necessarily contain a Bulgarian bacillus, while sour cream starters do not contain a Bulgarian bacillus. And such a product, ideally, cannot be called yogurt. Rather, light sour cream is obtained with the addition of sugar. This is if you try to classify it. Well, let it be "yogurt". I have such options - I can't get to the pharmacy starter cultures, either activia or sour cream is at hand, and I do it from them.
The success and taste of yoghurt directly depends on the quality of the ingredients.

Yesterday I made rice as follows:
Carrots, onions slightly fried in half rings in the frying mode.
Indeed, the time begins to count after warming up.
Threw in washed rice (unprocessed) 1 multi-glass, poured
boiling water about 480 gr. put the pilaf mode.
When she honked, I added chopped seaweed for sushi.
still stood on warming up for at least 10.
Result:
the rice, in principle, was boiled but was a little dry, I think water should be 50-100 grams more.
The main thing I realized is that this mode is acceptable, you just need to adapt.

ZagAl, especially for you, I quote the authentic text of my bachelor brother, the forced owner of the multi due to the absence (hopefully temporary) of his wife in the house:

Karoch-myasko in small pieces on butter to the bottom, grated carrot on top, then onion-not grated (smiley), then a layer of bulg. pepper, salt, pepper, I scatter cumin / cumin. On top of a layer of previously soaked pearl barley 1 multi-glass. Stick the garlic, too, good. Water 2 multi-glasses straight there yeah and pilaf mode for an hour ten minutes. Voila!

Rinse the pearl barley first, then soak!
Sveta @ V
My husband never looked like curdled milk. Classic yoghurt taste. I always take milk in film 2.5%, I forget to try to buy fatter, I read it. which will be creamier if milk is higher in fat content. Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)
We take chicken, smear it with mayonnaise (I have my own), salt, black and red pepper. Then the condiments: granulated garlic, basil and marjoram were in my case. You can take whatever you like. We put a saucepan in the cartoon. there - a tablespoon of vegetable oil, frying for 30 minutes. We put the chicken there with its back down, close the cartoon. While frying, peel the potatoes (10 medium pieces), salt and pepper, cut arbitrarily. After the signal, we turn the chicken on the breast, put the potatoes in random order. Close, turn on the default "frying" mode for 30 minutes again. After about 15 minutes, you can "spin" the potatoes for even frying, but you can skip this point. The chicken is ready in 30 minutes! If you want the meat to fall off the bones, set the "baking" mode for another 30 minutes. I wanted to do this, but the chicken was ready to eat without it. Enjoy!

The "heating" mode, which turns on automatically, heats the preset "heating" mode less aggressively. I would say that after the program the "heating" turns on and maintains the temperature of the dish at about 45-50 degrees. Somehow I left the dish for about 7 hours and after a while nothing burned.
