And what then, after cooking? Strain?
Yes of course

my husband and I did for ourselves, that's why we just poured into glasses through a strainer

Hello girls. A couple of days ago my husband gave me this toy. And everything would be fine: yogurt is great, it’s already done 2 times, the pilaf is excellent (I cooked it without a recipe, like on the stove) and the borscht turned out superb. But I haven't made friends with baked goods at all. Yesterday I baked a charlotte - a short one came out, a small one ... And today - a honey biscuit - so it's generally horror. I set the pastries to 1.20. I waited until the end, opened it ... And on top - a terrible loose brew, wet and unappetizing. With grief, she turned it over and put it in a slow cooker for another half hour. It's finished. Got it out. In total, from 5 eggs, a glass of sugar, a couple of tablespoons of honey, one and a half glasses of flour (not multi-glasses, but quite large, 250 ml) and one and a half teaspoons of baking powder, a crust came out, three centimeters high. With a failed middle.

As far as I understood, the problem is perspiration dripping from the lid. What to do with the valve? Take it off when baking?

In short, my husband tried this cake and said that it was oriental sweets. My daughter also appreciated the product, but I'm upset (((

And so, this is what I got after a little revision of my multicooker.
On Oatmeal mode it was: Now:
Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)
Oatmeal (5 tbsp. L. Oatmeal, 300 ml. 2.5% milk, 200 ml. Water, salt, sugar to taste) was cooked without any urge to escape.
ZagAl
While I was thinking about solving the problem, I read other forum threads and it turned out that this problem is not only mine. Even the Redmonds have seen different performances in the same mode. Some have passive boiling, while others have intense boiling in the same mode. Some of them burn their pastries, others do not ...
I see the problem here in the discrepancy between the parameters of the temperature sensors to the specified mode. There are two options here. Either they are installed incorrectly, or their parameters (or parameters of other elements of the electrical circuit) do not correspond to the required ones. On the one hand, you can contact the service center. But firstly, it seems to me it will be rather difficult to prove that the cartoon is not working correctly. It works !!! Secondly, not everyone has a service center nearby, and to get to it, you need to go to another locality. And thirdly, the price of the issue is cheap and you can deal with this problem yourself.
I will not fill your heads with my reflections and experiments, I will only give you extracts.

First, I checked how the upper thermal sensor is installed. In a plastic tube, a small, red one is a thermistor (thermal sensor). It was attached to the side of the designated site. Placed it in the center. By the way, the upper heating element is only 18 watts.
Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)
The heating element (main) began to turn off a few seconds earlier, but this was not enough to solve the problem.

The next step was to remove the bottom cover and get to the power board. The disassembly order is well illustrated here:

Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)
The contacts of interest to us are circled in a circle - the contacts of the thermistors.
The blue wires are the thermistor in the lid, the yellow ones are the thermistor located in the spring-loaded button that is located in the middle of the main heating element and on which the saucepan sits.
And so, if our cartoon heats up more than necessary, then we need to reduce the values of our thermistors. For this, it is necessary to connect equal resistances in parallel for each contact pair. I got the optimal result with resistances of 90 Kilohms. The rest of the multicooker will have the same values. But consider the following.Start with a larger resistance value because the larger the value of the parallel connected resistance, the less impact it has on the total resistance and vice versa. Moreover, this will be more pronounced at low temperatures. So my temperature on the Yogurt mode dropped from 42-44 ° C to 32-34 ° C, which I think is not critical. But temperatures around 100 ° C are under control.

At the testing stage, I did this: The final version (I disassembled the sockets, soldered the contacts and reassembled everything):
Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews) Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)

As you can see, I have not done anything super complicated, I have not fundamentally changed anything. And if, God forbid, in the future something happens during the warranty period (for example, the main heating element burns out) and you need to contact the service, I'll just remove these resistances and everything will take its original form. So, dear hostesses, if your men have hands growing from where they need to - they must cope with it.
Lёlka
ZagAl, why do you cook milk porridge in oatmeal?
ZagAl
Because:
Firstly, it is logical to cook oatmeal in the Oatmeal mode, since such exists.
Secondly, I love oatmeal with milk.
And thirdly, in the Milk porridge mode, milk ran out too, and the Oatmeal mode was taken just as an example. (He just got under the arm, because he caused the greatest indignation). In principle, I don't care how much time the porridge will be prepared. The main thing is that she does not run away and the process takes place without my participation. But since the manufacturer announced oatmeal in 5 minutes, then there is nothing to get out of, giving a completely different interpretation of the mode. Excuse me, this reminds me of an anecdote about a man with insufficient potency and an optimist doctor ...
ZagAl
And generally speaking, Lёlka, look at the root. Here and there on the forum questions arise: "Why, in the same modes, on the same models of the multicooker, some have active boiling, while others have passive?" How to solve this problem? I found a solution like this. Maybe a specialist in the field of radio electronics (I am not) will laugh at me. Let him suggest another solution. The important thing is that we can adjust the work of the multicooker to our preferences.

The revision is interesting in places. You still have to cut in the switch and screw the cancellation of heating

And in the end you got the following - not only the "yogurt" mode sank lower in temperature, and all other modes... After all, no other way.
The yogurt had a temperature of 38-42 as stated (I personally measured the temperature). That is, normal temperature. And if it becomes 32-34 this is not enough, only for certain starter cultures it will be suitable. It will work for the test - it needs 35 degrees. Although I ferment it on yoghurt - the result suits.
And it turns out that all the modes "went" down by 5 degrees. So?
If you only cook milk porridge and do not use other programs. You have achieved your goal.
All modes suit me, except for curves. The curves are only milk porridge and oatmeal. By the way, in the first issue of 2012, their algorithm was different, adequate. In vain they redid it.
Check something. another mode. What temperature drop is there?
Let's admit multi-cook 20 minutes 90 degrees, I was just checking it, I will make a boiled-smoked neck on it. Let's compare.

And there is only one other solution, but it is a dead end - to achieve a change in the program. It is necessary to convince the manufacturer that oatmeal we do not cook hard oats, but we cook quick oatmeal. And on milk porridge temperature decrease by 3 degrees, it will be enough.

at last took the multicooker polaris pmc 0517ad for 4400 rubles today. Multicooker Polaris PMC 0517AD (reviews)
Quote: ne_peku

And it turns out that all the modes "went" down by 5 degrees. So?
No not like this. When two resistances are connected in parallel, one of which changes its parameters depending on the temperature, and the other is constant (and the constant resistance is tens, and maybe hundreds of times more than the variable one), the resulting resistance will change nonlinearly. At low temperatures, the thermistor values are much higher than at high temperatures, therefore the temperature drop at low temperatures is greater, and at high temperatures it is much less. I try to explain it in simple understandable language.
I consider the 100 ° border the most important area. Moreover, it is the most difficult to control it. Since the evaporation of water does not allow the temperature to rise higher, we can observe more or less boiling and from it we can judge how much the main heating element is overheated. And for good broths and milk porridge - violent boiling is death. In the frying mode, let's say at 150 ° C, the temperature imbalance of +/- 5 ° is, in my opinion, insignificant.
And Yogurt? Here we are dealing with bacteria. There are three main points here. The first is moisture (they are perfectly stored dry and do not develop at the same time). Second - high temperatures (die). Third - low temperatures (they develop poorly and fall into suspended animation or something like that). In the region of 33 ° C, I think they will develop well. 8 hours are not enough, we will stand 10.
Quote: ne_peku

Check something. another mode. What temperature drop is there?
Let's say a multi-cook for 20 minutes 90 degrees, I was just checking it, I will make a boiled-smoked neck on it. Let's compare.
And here I agree with you. Moreover, in culinary research I am not your competitor, so tell me in detail what and how you need to do to prepare a boiled-smoked neck. Details in grams. So let's test it in practice. I'm waiting for the recipe.

Almost blind with deaf. You are not satisfied - you have solved the problem in a way that suits you. Change as much as you like.
I didn't write ...you personally shouldn't have changed.... I either built the phrase badly, or you didn’t read it. And Polarisovtsy shouldn't have changed modes in multicooker versions. There are no regimes, otherwise it is not clear again. The algorithm of the program, in a different way they (oatmeal and milk porridge) began to work.

Multi-cook 90 gr. - you have it 98 gr .. So a jamb. I have a peak on a multi-cooker, after turning off it will heat up. theme element. 94-94.5 gr. then there is a decline, and until the next switch-on it is really 90-90.2 / 90.4 degrees. No boiling.
Of course, my measurements are not so perfect. With a temperature probe, I remove the valve and poke it inward to the bottom, or almost to the bottom. Checked on the water.
Therefore, there will be some error. Ideally, I can't get into the "spades", and it's hot to hold my hand.
The recipe is not mine, Author Jan. I don't copy photos, but the view is very appetizing!
"Boiled-smoked neck"
Products:

Pork neck - 1.35 kg, garlic - 1 head, black pepper - 1 tbsp. l., sugar - 1 tsp, salt - 2 tbsp. l., liquid smoke - 2 tsp.
Mix pepper, salt, sugar. Squeeze out the garlic. Mix everything. Coat the neck with this mixture. Place in a baking bag and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
Then add liquid smoke for 1 tsp. on each side of the neck. Close the bag tightly and tie it with silicone threads.

In a multicooker bowl, bring water to a boil on "Steam cooking" and add meat. Disable the program. Set "Multipovar" for 2 hours, temperature 85 *. After the signal, get the neck. Cool without removing the package. Then cut the bag, wrap the neck in plastic wrap and transfer to the refrigerator.

After a few hours, you can cut the neck into pieces.

My neck is less than 750 grams. We do not have 85 degrees. I will do 90 gr. on a multi-cooker and without liquid smoke. The amount of spices in the case of a lower weight, "there" is advised to reduce proportionally.

And about the norms. Well, you have 98 degrees instead of 90, and how many, what are you not showing? It’s just your words that at high temperatures the "drawdown" is, as it were, less. AND?

Girls, somewhere at the beginning of the topic I read about the problem of stains on the heating element. Nothing seemed to run away, but the spots were like dry or dark. I also had such an opportunity, a stain appeared. For a couple of days, almost unsuccessfully, I tried to wipe it off. But today I easily solved this problem with a paper towel, 1 drop of water and baking soda! Everything was easily wiped off, then walked with a damp cloth and dry again with a paper towel. The disc is like new! It's a pity I didn't take a picture BEFORE, the stain was decent. Suddenly this method will be useful to someone.

Additive to the recipe "boiled-smoked neck"... The author does not indicate the displacement. In her photos, water is poured according to the division CUP = 8. After laying the meat, the water rose above the maximum mark by 1.5-1.8 cm.

If we compare the two graphs MP = 90 degrees, although the first is 10 minutes, explicit did not see any changes. Consider the same peak upper values at about 98 degrees (although maybe a little higher than steel). The lower ones are the same. If you think it has become better, then it is.

Ideally, yes. It is necessary to try to expel all the air during packing, since the package will try to float, or may burst in the process.
Unfortunately, it befell me, in the corner of the package left air, he in the last half hour and jerked. In the next. I will wrap it up once or twice, or I will add cling film on top of the bag, then ties on top. Although the package could have gotten weak, you can't guess with them.

Hello everyone! Taki tried to put in yogurt yesterday. First time. In the bowl there are multi from evitalia. I realized that people like me, without a thermometer, have nothing to meddle in such matters. I was worn out with milk in the evening, horror. I always boil milk from packages. Boil .. and then try to determine the desired temperature. In short, warmed and cooled several times. It seems cold, then hot. By two o'clock in the morning she decided what would happen and poured in the leaven. By the end of the program, the surface was like just milk, smooth. When tilted, it is clear that not just milk, the substance is different. But I read that it should not stir if the yogurt is ready. I decided that I poured the leaven into the very cooled milk, which means it is necessary to increase the cooking time. I left it on, but after an hour the serum began to leave. Girls tell me who makes in the bowl HOW DOES THE FINISHED PRODUCT LIKE?

I never heat milk. I take pasteurized and (important) 6%! Then the spoon will stand! First, leave the milk just on the table (I read it on the forum) next to the sourdough (yogurt, kefir, sour cream ...). In general, the 2 mixed substances should be at the same temperature. Rinse the containers with boiling water and the whisk with which you will also mix. Mix everything thoroughly and into cups (for example). I did both in jars and in a saucepan. It depends very much on milk and fat content. If the liquid separates, it has already been overexposed. In our CF, 6 hours on yoghurt are enough. The default is 8, nothing else.
Here is a photo:

With a long shelf life - this is sterilized milk, everything is completely killed in it. I take pasteurized, in a package, but not soft, but this harsh. We sell "Koshkinskoye", you hardly have one. The bottom line is the fat content, the fatter the milk, the thicker the product in the end.It depends on what is important for you - the dietary component, or taste and appearance. In our cartoon, a wonderful yogurt is obtained and no matter what kind of sourdough you take: kefir, sour cream, natural yogurt (like me) or "snowball", a good product is obtained from everything. Sour milk is useful in any case. Good luck to you!
I would like to take this opportunity to express my opinion: here they wrote that there are no beneficial bacteria in natural activity. I make wonderful yogurt out of it and I also like the effect on the body. So, if there is nothing useful in him, then how does he ferment milk? By the power of thought? It is illogical!

Recommend:
From "Evitalia" (or other DRY starter cultures) usually 7-8 hours, if on the uterine starter culture (ie from an already prepared product) 5-6 hours. And the product will not be very thick immediately after cooking, it should coagulate. For this, it is cooled. And only after that it will be of the desired consistency

girls, I'm facing a choice: 517 or 520.

Why don't I buy the 520 at least: no, and most likely will not appear on the free sale spare bowls... In the 520th it is individual. Buy only through a service center.
By the 517th easy to pick up a bowl... Polaris produces ceramics with / without handles. There is "Teflon" from Redmond or "Xylan" coating from Polaris, and stainless steel from Redmond.A varied selection.
There are negative reviews about baking in the 520 if you count on it. The pastry is not baked, it turns out a "humped pancake swollen in the center" thin from the edges. Someone lucky baking "rises", and some have already changed the CF twice and again got such a joint. Maybe it depends on the party, the lottery in general. I would not risk it, baking is important to me.In the 517th the pastries are good.

By design, I like the 517 more. It is neat and small. I looked at it. I even thought of buying it as a second one. I felt it, it did not impress me. Bulky and heavier than the 517th, and without a twist. If I am not mistaken in the 520th there is one sensor program, we do not have such. The rest of the programs, both here and there are normal, no obvious complaints.
Except in the 517th (2013) modes "oatmeal"and"milk porridge". The" porridge "has a very long warm-up, before the start of the countdown. Polaris recommends cooking not quick flakes of oat flakes, but hard grain in water.
And "milk porridge", on it all the same there is "runaway". There are complaints. Although you can adapt, or cook in a different mode, etc.The people cook milk porridge in this slow cooker.

If you come across a copy of the 517th release July 2013 and older, then there, as they say (I cannot personally confirm),returned the delayed start on the "multi-cook".

And the rest, everything is getting used. Actually, you need to get used to any multicooker and adapt to it.

I am for the 517th model. And so see for yourself. If you think of taking the 517th model, buy the 2nd teflon bowl right away. Whatever the surprise, food sticking in ceramics after 3 months of use.

With eggplants and mushrooms and minced meat, how to cook it correctly? in what order, on what program? or I just think to fry the onions first, then the meat and then there champignons with eggplant, fry all this and throw boiled pasta on top, right? or how best to do it?

Sorry, that is, the newbie somehow did not understand, and did not understand what topic to write a similar question to. Where can I see all the recipes by category for the 0517ad multicooker? Or do you just need to enter "vegetable dishes into multicooker 0517" into the search box and monotonously open the proposed search options and scroll through each page in search of the desired recipe?

Fehu, it is not necessary to look for recipes specifically for our multicooker, at least look at this:

Where did they all disappear ???

We are here . There are a lot of recipes in this thread on the Polaris website. I recommend that you first try out the recipes from the book attached to the multicooker for practice. Somewhere here is a link to a fuller recipe book for our multi.

People! Help! I'm dulling something In the instructions they write "watch the amount of water when cooking rice." But I didn't find what the ratio of rice to water should be in the beginning. Maybe they already wrote about this somewhere, but I salted only 7 pages, and there are 122 of them. I'm afraid not only dinner, but I won't have time to cook breakfast until I read everything.
