sazalexter, thank you very much for the link, but only I still have questions. The topic discusses self-repair, which is not available to me, or the replacement of the bucket, but this is already a last resort. I'm interested in finding out the reason for this behavior of the bucket. Is this really related to making jam ??? and why did it stop flowing after the bread (pah-pah). Maybe you really need to use the bread maker from time to time for its intended purpose, and not just as a dough mixer?
sazalexter
Nataly_rz The reason for the behavior is only a lack of design
And if the bucket started to leak, then this process cannot be stopped unfortunately

I'm interested in finding out the reason for this behavior of the bucket. Is this really related to making jam ??? and why did it stop flowing after the bread ...

After boiling the jam, sugar froze in the bucket and the spatula jammed. By turning it with effort, and not pre-soaking it in water, we damage the sealing gasket.
After the next kneading of flour, a small amount of it clogs the gap formed in the bucket, which blocks the leak.
Always check the paddle before mixing and if it does not spin freely, do not use too much force to unlock it.
Good luck.
Nataly_rz
Thank you Vanya28 , I will now watch how the blade spins. Although to be honest, I did not notice the difficulties with turning it. All the same, I want to make another jam. So the experiment will continue
sazalexter
Let's not push the responsibility for manufacturer bugs onto the user We have already passed this on the forum
I do not think that Nataly_rz and an_domini violated the instructions for using the HP and did not wash it properly.
It's just that manufacturers stubbornly refuse to see and correct their mistakes.
They seem to find it easier to change the buckets under warranty than to completely redesign the mixer assembly. Well, it's forgivable in the old model, but when the same defect is inherited by the new model, this is too much
9oksana9
the leak of the bucket is not the only problem associated with making jams, and the form is also scratched with sugar. so I think the bread maker is designed for making bread, and making jam is a bait for us buyers)
Nataly_rz
Hurrah! I have a new bucket !!! Changed under warranty. On Monday I took it to the service, now I have already taken it. At the same time, the stove was also cleaned, because when the bucket began to leak, the jam was poured out, and professional cleaning was required. So I am satisfied with our Kharkiv Kenwood service
By the way, the master said that the bucket cannot be wetted from the outside from below, hence all the troubles. I read the instructions carefully again, I did not find such instructions. But now I will try to comply, the second time will not work for free, I will have to lay out 350 UAH for a new bucket.
sazalexter
Nataly_rz the instructions should reflect this! You are not a telepathic person to guess
Nataly_rz
No, not a telepath, but an analyst, I might guess. The instructions only say not to wash in the PMM. But since I do not have it, I ignored this warning. But if there was, I would have thought, why is it that they do not allow me to use the dishwasher
In general, one more argument in favor of purchasing PMM
But seriously, it is possible that protecting the bottom of the bucket from moisture ingress will save my new bucket and someone else from breakdowns (Or I am the only one so close)
sazalexter
Nataly_rz In my instructions it is written in black and white in Russian and Ukrainian: Do not immerse the mold in water (Do not cover the mold with water) and do not wash parts of your bakery in the dishwasher! (Duralumin bucket and spatula!)
These are the manufacturer's pardons, in theory, he should have indicated that you cannot wet the bucket from the back side !!!

Respected sazalexter, and on which page did you find a mention of shape into water? I have it on page 4: Do not immerse product, power cord or plug in water. In my opinion, this is about electrical safety, and about the form - only the warning on page 24 about the dishwasher. Do not mislead people!

It seems to me that this is enough. And in principle, this does not apply to the topic of "branches" and rolls down to a banal flame

I have no instructions, but I noticed that when I stopped washing the bucket outside with water, it stopped leaking ...

If anyone wants a glamorous bread maker, and at the same time is ready to risk their own safety - this model is for you!
Kenwood BM450, brand new, under warranty, proudly baked the first loaf of delicious bread.
On the second, it ... EXPLODED, covering the entire kitchen with broken glass ... Thank God, it was in the morning (they put an adjournment), no one was hurt ...
Cheerful bread maker, good luck to the producers

Everything was according to the instructions, a mixture of poods "5 cereals" was used, program number 2, weight 750 g., A delay of 10 hours .... on the next. I'll give it to the service center for a week (by the way, there aren't many of them, as it turned out), and then I don't know what to do ... Fear of this machine is physiological ... I ordered Panasonic 257

By the way, it has already exploded in some of the users, they wrote on the internet ... And since there is glass on top of the crusher, it crumbles into the smallest splashes ...
IRR
Evbor , horrible horror! The killer oven! Thank you, thank you that no one was hurt. Write later what said in the service? Maybe the Pudov mixture worked as a detanator? sorry
Gypsy
no, no, not funny .. just the mention of * Pudof mix * alerted

that's why i don't want a glass gas stove

Oops, I can't, uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuzels were! remember Pudoff didn’t want to inject drugs, they say there’s something, but I won’t tell you, soooo

Evbor, I sympathize, I can imagine what horror you experienced But still it is right that I did not take the 450 model, stood, missed ... well, my soul did not lie down to her, I took 350 and I do not regret

Wort, and plastic instead of glass in the 350th? There is a transparent plastic window in my stove.

Good day!
My question is not about baking, but about accessories for this wonderful friend. I saw pictures of breads laid out on a lattice stand. It is this stand that interests me - is it included in the kit? I do not have this in HP.
Thank you in advance.
Mallet
This stand is included with microwave ovens

If you scratch the glass, then it happens with ovens as well, but we look at how everything is baked there and do not give up the oven. Although it is sad to collect shards of glass.

Thank you. Did you save me from raiding the store to find out where my stand is?
I thought it was very similar to a microwave stand, but still doubted.

I have a question for the owners of Kenwood 450. Just bought today, the bread turned out to be ordinary, everything is fine. But I want to know how convection works, even if I don't see it, I don't hear it, I thought some fans would be heard. And then the silence ... everything came up, looked whether it worked. Too quiet somehow.
By the way, if anyone is interested. We bought it in the mediamarkte for almost 6800, and as a gift they gave it a round bucket and a machine for making cocoa.

Today at 5 am I woke up and decided to put the bread, I came up with the recipe myself: I broke the egg, topped it up with water up to 380 g, poured wheat, rye and corn flour equally "by eye" 600 grams, 1 tbsp. spoon of oil, 1.5 tsp. salt, 4 tsp. sugar, 1.5 tsp. yeast, set 1 mode. And then sleep, woke up at 10, the smell of the whole apartment !!! AND HOW TASTY-O-O.
I read here in the subject a message that the doors are scattering into fragments, it's scary ... I think I need to glue the top with a film, such as they sell on the PDA. Well, or something like that. What do you think? It makes sense? Or will the glass only get warmer?

Oh how. And in what MM (territorially)?

And round buckets are not sold separately there?

I bought mine for 6000 a couple of weeks ago, so if a bucket as a gift is a good price ..

but I would not glue anything - the lid gets very hot, and an embarrassment can occur with the melted film and the damaged lid. It is of course removed and you can probably buy a new one, but ...
Tatjana_K
On Kenwood's website, this round bucket is a standalone device.
Here (in Latvia) this model is cheaper than 6800 rubles. it turns out, so I doubt the free round bucket.

heh ... in Russia, the price for everything is 1.5 - 2 times higher, therefore, with a price of 6800 it is free. in M-Video, such a stove 8800 costs ...

I'm not talking about cars and so on. Consumer goods

Bought in mm in Auchan in Rublevsky. I think they have buckets in all stores now. It is separately in its packaging, apparently not only in the load.

People!!! Share your observation. I like Kenwood-450, but there is one dangerous BUT! The bucket in this particular model is poorly fixed - over 1cm of backlash (if measured along the top edge of the bucket)! And this is not a specific instance, but in all stores (Peter). Maybe they brought such a defective batch to us. All other firms and even Kenwood350 have no such backlash. Owners of Kenwood450 - please respond !!! How do you have a backlash and is the bucket very loose. After all, if it staggers so much, then the bucket will break in a moment! Really looking forward to your answers!
Danik51
Kenwood-450 has been working for me for a year now. and there is a backlash in the bucket, but the bucket did not jump out nirazu, I'm happy with the stove.
cosmetichca
I have no backlash ...in general, the bucket is initially placed skewed to the left, and then secured by turning to the right. and stands there rooted to the spot.
Tatjana_K
I have been using the stove for 2 weeks. I support previous authors - everything is ok.
Bri
I don’t know what a backlash is, you mean that it’s not very tight? maybe, but for a year I have been baking my oven regularly, I even made jams. I am very pleased, plus to her, that she is programmable, since I bake most often with sourdough ..
Tatjana_K
Bri, good afternoon!
I have a question for you as an experienced user. If you program yourself, can you then make changes in these programs?

But of course, just instead of the old program, you can start a new one or just correct

Thanks for the answers about the backlash of the bucket. We also went shopping. It turns out that this is really a party like that. The other delivery is different and the bucket fits better (although still worse than in the 350). And then there are Kenwoods-450s that are not completely metal, they have a plastic flap inside between the cover and the body. This is the difference found in one brand (they also have other numbers in the name besides the number 450, maybe they differ by them).
But since there are not so many of them in the city, you will have to search to choose!

what letters? VM before 450?

There are only two letters, as usual BM-450, but further after 450 digits, I don't remember exactly like 0660

So the bucket flowed over and over again And it did not take a year to start using it. But I often bake.
First, all some kind of black dust poured, and in the end, when one "fine" day I poured some water into a bucket to soak it, it flowed.
I did not find the official Kenwood service.
I did not give up and went to the store where I bought the stove - fortunately Stockmann is not some eatery.
There they took a bucket and promised to check if this case fits under the guarantee.
The next day they called me and said that they would change my bucket. And since it takes a long time to order a new bucket, they gave me a bucket from the window. So I'm back with a bucket
And about the round bucket, they said that you can order somewhere for $ 58.

Hello to all bakers!
I want to join everyone who has Kenwood450.
I was looking for Panasonic255w, but I didn’t find it, but I didn’t want to wait. As a result, I bought Tefal with baguettes, which I handed over a week later, because the smell of plastic was terrible. I changed it to Kenwood 450 and I'm very happy. It bakes well. The metal case is much better. By the way, in the very heat, there is no such heat in the kitchen from it as from the oven. I've been baking bread 2 times a week for 2 months now. EXCLUSIVELY on ZAKVASK made from sprouted grain of rye and wheat (we sell sprouted grain). I knead the dough in the mode, then heat it up for 1 minute in the baking mode and leave it for 2 or three hours. I am leaving on business, if it rises a little, I heat it up again for 1 minute, stand for an hour and turn on the baking (program 14) for 50 minutes. Half-and-half rye flour with 1 grade of wheat, and sometimes more rye, as when. I add the caraway seeds with hercules. then prunes and flax seeds, dried cranberries, in short, what is in the house, even herbs, spices. I dilute another 1 tablespoon of molasses for color in water with honey and salt.

In this site, I rewrote the program for such bread. how I bake. so as not to interfere, but the question is: will it be an additional 15th or 16th program, or will the 1st standard for the stove be redone?
klila
The Kenwood 450 has the ability to record 5 of your programs, completely independent of the standard ones.

I unsubscribe - there are no buckets. We were even surprised by this question.

strange.

Klila, thanks for the answer, fellow countrywoman. I come from Dnepropetrovsk, in June I was passing through Kiev.
I can't write a program for my bread. I used to think that I would lose standard programs if I write my own. Now I'm not afraid and I will do everything right.

I noticed an interesting thing in the Kenwood BM450.

If you put food in the oven in a sequence like in Panasonic, that is, dry down and liquid up, then the result - bread is much better - and higher and the roof is always perfect. And then after half a year of operation, there were punctures in the bread - it will not rise periodically when I put it on at night, although the products are the same. And now everything is great.

Moreover, the bucket does not leak! It is because of the bucket that I also do this, it does not affect the quality of baking in any way. For a delayed start, there may also be something in this - it's not for nothing that in Panas, the laying of products, on the contrary, has a preliminary temperature equalization.
My Ken is already a year and a half. All the time I check if the bread is good enough, if not, I turn it off a few minutes before the start of baking, let it stand still and turn on the baking. Often he does not have enough time to get up, you can, of course, heat butter and milk, and not immediately put it out of the refrigerator as in Panas, but everyone has their own habits.
