Confiture "Strawberry and apple sandwich paste"

Ingredients

Apples 1 kg
Strawberry 1.4 kg
Juice of 2 lemons
Sugar 1.4 kg

Cooking method

  • 1.Coarsely chop the apples with the skin and core and put in a saucepan. Fill in 900 ml. water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, until the fruits are tender.
  • 2.In the meantime, chop the strawberries, preferably in a food processor. Pass the boiled apple gruel through a sieve and pour into a saucepan. add strawberries and lemon juice to the apple mass, bring everything to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer the whole mixture for about 15 minutes - until the strawberries and apples are a homogeneous mixture.
  • 3.Add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. While cooking the mixture, adjust the heat so that it does not boil too much. After 40 minutes, the fruit gruel will reach a jelly-like consistency. To be sure, make a test: drop a small amount of the mass on a cold dish and check if a film forms on it when it cools.
  • 4.Fill the jars, immediately place the alcohol-soaked parchment on the surface of the mass, let cool completely and close.

Note

A sandwich with such fruit paste is simply incomparable in taste and cooks very quickly: two thin slices of a loaf are spread with butter, then a not very thick layer of pasta and cottage cheese and put together: a snack for breakfast or dinner turns out to be very tasty.
