Plum and apple jam

Ingredients

Apple and plum puree 1 kg
Sugar 800 g

Cooking method

  • Since it is difficult to prepare a jam of a very dense consistency from one plum puree, 30-40% of apple is added to the plum puree.
  • Put apples, cut into slices, and pitted plums in a saucepan, add water (just a drop), cover and cook until soft. Then, without letting it cool, rub it through a sieve or blender - it turns out very quickly and of high quality!
  • Then the mixture of mashed potatoes is boiled for 10-15 minutes, and then, gradually adding sugar, with continuous stirring, the jam is boiled until tender. Stir often, cook over low heat until the desired density is about 1.5 hours.
  • The finished hot jam is packaged in prepared sterilized jars, hermetically sealed, the jars are turned upside down and cooled.
  • After cooling the cans to 40-50 ° C, they are turned upside down so that the frozen jam does not stick to the lid.

Note

Before I had time to cook the jam, the children "swooped in". I only had time for them to put this jam in a pea on a round cookie!
