Yesterday I made waffles, they reminded me of a piece of sliced, which I used to buy hot at our bakery - a dense golden brown crust with a layer of elastic crumb. Therefore, I thought that if you bake in pretzels, you might get a bagel - this is where they were just discussed. Indeed, it turned out - quite similar to the one sold before, sweet, with a brown crust. The only difference is in thickness. Maybe next time I'll try donuts. True, I had the dough on soda and boiled whey (it was she who, apparently, gave such a crust), but I think that yeast is also worth trying for bagel lovers.
