Cooking method

I propose to build a honey cake, beloved by many, in a quick and lazy way - without rolling out the cakes, from batter. You can bake in one layer in the oven or in a pizza maker, or you can try something new - making a familiar cake from honey waffles!
The dough is prepared very quickly and easily.
Put butter (butter and vegetable), sugar, honey, a pinch of salt in a small ladle with a thick bottom, put on a low heat and stirring, bring the mixture to a boil until large bubbles. An intense honey aroma appears.
Add 1 tsp. soda, hold on fire until lush foam rises.
Remove from heat, stir and let stand for 3-5 minutes for the foam to settle.

Add whey (first pour in a small part of it, foam will appear again, mix and then add the rest, it is better to combine the hot mixture with cold whey), beat with a whisk, add eggs, beat again, add flour and beat until a homogeneous batter.

You can beat with a whisk or mixer, whichever is more convenient for you.

It's good if the scoop has a capacity of 2 liters, then you don't need to use another bowl for kneading the dough, everything can be mixed, whipped and kneaded in the scoop itself.

You can bake in the oven on a baking sheet with sides (approximate size 30X40 and it is desirable to make a substrate of baking paper) at a temperature of 190-200 degrees - 15 minutes (until a dry match). Cut the baked layer in half across the baking sheet and dissolve each half along the thickness of the layer (you may not need to achieve perfect cuts), so that we end up with 4 cakes. Align them by cutting off the edges. Spread with your favorite cream, garnish with a sprinkle of chopped scraps. For greater fragility and color of the sprinkling, trimmings, you can additionally bake in the oven. You can do without them, sprinkle the cake with grated chocolate or nuts.

This time I decided to try part of the dough on the "Thin waffles" panel in the Redmond multi-baker. The waffles are very similar to honey cakes. It takes 3-4 minutes to bake, but it's not so easy to guess the amount of dough when laying down, the most important thing here is not to shift too much. The wafer cakes were cut and leveled hot, when they cool, they become hard and brittle as it should be for thin waffles. I used the trimmings for sprinkling cakes. It is more convenient to crush by rolling with a rolling pin on the scraps laid in a bag. The finished waffle cake should be allowed to soak at least overnight in the refrigerator.

The rest of the dough (about 2/3) was baked in a GF pizza maker in a 30 cm silicone mold (there is a Teflon mesh under the mold, there is also a mesh on top of the mold - so as not to attract and fry the dome to the top panel). Baking mode: t = 180 gr, timer for 20 min. The cake turned out to be about 2 cm high. I cut the circle in half, and spread the semicircles lengthwise into two cakes, layered with cream (I have whipped sour cream with sugar). Here's a cake for home tea - "half" round! Since the cake is soft, you can start tasting the cake within an hour after assembly.

Another try of this test in the Redmond Multi-Baker, this time on the Dutch Waffle bar. They are baked in 2-2.5 minutes, it is important not to overexpose, since the honey-sugar dough is prepared quickly, but just as quickly and burns! It is much easier to bake on this panel - the dough does not run away and waffles are baked much faster than on the "Thin waffles" panel. And the mini-cake turned out to be just wonderful !!! For him, I also used sour cream and let it soak overnight in the refrigerator.
