And what is not worth it, you can even buy a second lid with a grill for it
Sneg6
Lena, do you have one?

American voltage is not suitable.
Catwoman
Not yet, but I keep an eye on it, it is sold in England too. The main thing is for 3 liters. Although American women don't bother me, there is a transformer
Sneg6
Clear. I have nowhere to put the transformer. I looked at the English Amazon price with delivery of almost 10 thousand.

In America, the choice is large.

Is it worth it?
Little Instantik - definitely worth it! There are a lot of large pressure cookers, and there are a lot of small pressure cookers, and this is the coolest one!
Sneg6
Irina S, does he cook fast?
Irina S
Fast, he's a pressure cooker. He has two levels of pressure and on programs also two levels of pressure and the ability to select the texture of the product. The time is set independently, and on the programs you can change the proposed one. Instant Pot remembers the last change in each mode. It is convenient, you do not have to poke the same thing every day.
I'm not a big specialist in pressure cookers and I can only compare with the Ninja. Ninja has a bunch of other bells and whistles, but as a pressure cooker I like Instant Pot better.
Sneg6
Well, for example, how much potatoes or porridge, soup are boiled?
Irina S
I have not tried all the programs yet.
Cooked on the "Soup" program soup from champignons, potatoes and barley - 20 minutes. The soup was perfect. I loved champignon soup! Cooked chicken broth and fried lamb soup - 30 minutes. This is the recommended time, I have not changed it. The broth turns out to be perfectly transparent, and where the foam goes to me remains a mystery.
On the "Porridge" mode, I cooked medium-ground rolled oats in a bowl for a couple of minutes, fine - 3 minutes. Buckwheat and millet - 10 minutes. I open the lid after 10 minutes.
On the Steam program, cut into slices 2 - 2.5 cm -15 min. Cauliflower in large pieces -10 min. Jacket potatoes 25 minutes.
The Pressure program works like a normal pressure cooker. Potatoes in slices of 1.5 - 2 cm with a glass of water are cooked for 5 minutes, in Ninja as well.
Sneg6
Irina S, thank you very much! So you need to want this pressure cooker!

Ninja may be good, but too big for me.

Now, if it were small.

Ninja may be good, but too big for me.

As soon as the pressure cooker is big for me too, but for other functions - that's it! Ninji has a bunch of different possibilities and that is why he is good. But using Instantik, I wanted a large Instant, precisely because of a more convenient pressure cooker and a steel saucepan. I don't have a stove, Ninja took it, therefore, two saucepans are not enough

Sneg6, if interested, I can talk about further testing of Instantik.
Sneg6
Irina S, Irina, yes, very interesting. Thank you!
Victorov
I'm going to buy an Instant Pot for 8 liters - advise where it is better to buy in England or Germany?
P.S. I will use the services of an intermediary.
Irina S
Victorovprobably don't care. They come with two wires - for England and Germany. See where it turns out cheaper.

Buy only original silicone rings from Instant Pot. With other manufacturers, the silicone may be too soft and the device will not be able to build up pressure. I did it with Ninja - the size fit, but the quality of the silicone is not.
And I do not advise taking a non-stick pan at all.It did not fit my little Instantik in size, apparently, their size for new models that have not yet reached Europe. And the non-stick coating is completely rubbish.

This is the steamer mode. It is slower than pressure cooking. It also depends on the potatoes. White cooks faster than red. I prefer red. Israeli potatoes take longer to cook and contain less starch. But our corn is cooked faster.

Big Brother Instant has joined the Instantik.

Oh, Fathers! Where to buy Instantika in Moscow?
biankausa
After 5 years of owning Potik, I learned how to bake in it, well, if not cakes, then cupcakes. And everything turns out to be so simple. Greased the bowl with oil, poured in the dough, set it manually for 45 minutes. ALL. But, I used a non-stick saucepan, it won't work in my own, it will burn. The honey cake is next, I will report back if I can.
Irina S
I bake a sponge cake in Instanta. It turns out great! I close the form first with a paper towel, then with foil. I bake for 1 hour under high pressure, let off steam after 15 minutes.
biankausa
So so soIrina S, prick, which biscuit recipe do you use? Bake in the form, those form is put in the bowl, and the manual mode, I suppose. Then what steam, where does it come from? My valve does not even rise, so no steam is formed.
Irina S
biankausa, to me on "you".
Everything is very simple! I baked a lazy biscuit - beat eggs along with sugar (4 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid, 2/3 cup sugar) and mixed 2/3 cup and 1/4 teaspoon with flour. baking powder. Baking a classic biscuit, where whites and yolks are whipped with sugar separately, a quarter of the flour is replaced with starch and without baking powder. Replaced half of the sugar with a substitute and even completely replaced sugar and added baking powder in 0.5 or 1 teaspoon of baking powder, according to the amount of sugar substitute. The result was equally good. At the bottom of the form, lay a cut out circle of baking paper. I close it on top with a paper napkin and foil. I put the form in Instant with boiling water (I turn it on for boiling in advance) and switch to manual mode - 1 hour at high pressure and 15 minutes. on heating, then I let off steam and that's it.

Here is a very good biscuit recipe
https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...=com_smf&topic=2771.0
I also baked on it, only reduced the ingredients by 4 eggs.
biankausa
I tried it with water, something didn't go, (not yours, another) but I have a non-stick bowl, I'll try it in it. With water, what is the inconvenience, the form is only 20 centimeters long, and this is not a cake, but a cake. The next one in size does not fit anymore.
biankausa
Today I baked [Honey cake from Shula in the Panasonic SR-TMH18 multicooker. While sitting in the cartoon, it cools down. I followed the recipe strictly, but baked on manual mode for 65 minutes.
A little about the new modifications of Potika: I saw them in the store - there they added the aero grill function, but, for some reason, not a single saucepan stood open, only boxes. Sorry to unpack there was no time, and I do not need it. But, all the same, as I have a free minute, I will drop by, I will consider in more detail. And, yes, the manual function is gone.
She took out the cake from the multi-cake height 7 cm.

My “Manual” mode is called “Pressure Cook”. The same thing, only the name is different.
It's a pity that new models for Europe have not yet been released. But you, as you learn something new, write. It is very interesting if they will appear in England.

about model with grill
Ira, is this a model with a grill? If you mean the Air Fryer lid, which is sold separately and fits all six-quart Instant Pots, then I can say that I was interested in this lid, held it in my hands and wanted to buy, even though I have separate air fryers, but after reading the reviews about it in American instant-pot groups, she abandoned this idea. The girls write that this fryer lid does not give a crisp.
Nadia, here's a good overview of the Evo you like (bowl with handles, yeah):

Catwoman
Larissa, are they the same, only for 3 liters? The saucepan is beautiful to eerie, ehB well why they are not in Europe.
Irina S
What a unit! Pens, temperature and more ... !! Want!!! Eh, when will they get to Europe?

but it's already easier, you don't have to buy a pot in the bargain. I still want a grill lid.

A question to the owners of the insta sweat - can you cook liquid milk rice porridge in it - in a liquid like soup?
Irina S
Ksyu-juha, I can try. In what proportion to cook, what kind of rice and to what extent to boil it?
Ksyu-juha
Quote: Irina S
I can try.
Irina S, thank you, maybe you have already cooked another porridge with milk so that there was liquid in it? And on which program?
In the subject I read that they cooked oatmeal with milk, but I did not understand-was it cooked like porridge or porridge with milk liquid? The second option interests me. In a multi-cooker dex on the program, milk cooked rice milk without proportions - a couple of liters of milk and round rice, taking into account that it will increase three times - maybe a multi-glass approximately, so that there is liquid - pour it like soup at first - then it goes a little bit The milk reminded me of the taste like from the oven - it gradually boiled for 50 minutes.
Irina S
Ksyu-juha, I have never cooked liquid porridge, in general, not once in my life. I will try and write about the result. I cook a thick porridge in a bowl on the "porridge" mode (under pressure) and dilute the finished one with milk.
Ksyu-juha
Hello everyone - I bought an instant pot 7 in 1 in Walmart ... it was closer to the night. This kind of pressure cooker looks good .. but everything is in English, and my beef stood for stewing - I simmer for five hours on an electric stove to the state of a stew-and then I have a stupor how to cook this beef in a pressure cooker
Nothing smarter than turning on the meat mode for 2 or 3 hours with a low level of pressure, I did not think of it and went to sleep .. of course, I didn’t become a stew, but you can eat it, I chose the wrong time and I understood the mode.
And now the main question - the sealing gum stinks me terribly - not that from beef or I did not pay attention to the smell initially - a persistent smell reminiscent of garlic .. and I smell strongly and how can I remove it? I can’t cook anything in it, it seems to me that everything stinks from this ring smell .. Who ordered spare O-rings — good — throw off the link please.
And since the pressure cooker I like it and it works very quietly.

Sneg6
Sveta, yes with the premium grill delivery was 87, without 129.

So the issue of the smell of the O-ring was relatively decided, I read the multicooker on the forum to soak it in vinegar-chlorine and the lemon did not help.
An ideal buckwheat soup - first fry the brisket, onions and carrots a little - then I threw everything in and manually under high pressure for 10 or 15 minutes, I don’t remember exactly, the pressure blew off. Very tasty and the brisket is not tough.
The stew is perfect too.
Thank you girls for the advice to buy this pressure cooker.
Ksyu-juha
I stewed the beef - this time it's perfect - I'm very happy. I fried onions and carrots in a frying pan, added pieces of beef and seasoning. I put everything in a pressure cooker, so that it covered the water and high pressure in manual mode for 1.5 hours. Then she shifted a part and stewed it with sour cream for 10 minutes on the stove.

I cooked the stuffed peppers on the rice program under pressure for 15 minutes. Very tasty.

I also cooked green borsch with spinach, I didn't find sorrel here,
Then, in the sauté mode, I put onions and carrots, chicken breast in slices and then added potatoes and boiling water to cover the manual mode for 7 minutes.
I opened it, added boiling water and put eggs and herbs and tomato and seasonings, boiled it on a saucer for 5 minutes and turned it off.
A delicious borscht came out, and the brisket is not tough, but so soft and juicy.
