She said everything very correctly in the first part of her address.
The casserole is also very cute (very large only)
Let's wait for impressions
Tanya-Fanya
Very interesting. I will wait for your impressions.
What network is it designed for 220 V or 110 V?
Lerele
I’ll sit and look on the sidelines, it seems like it’s not necessary, but ... a mysterious place this forum, for sure

So, the first report from the scene crimes landing of a new gravicap

Amazon and the German post did not disappoint: the order made in the morning of 12/30 arrived to me this afternoon, despite the holidays, weekends and a couple of borders (the seller of the European version of this model sits in England and sends it to Europe from there).

it was packed very well: box + box + box.
(The cat is solely for decorative purposes and has nothing to do with the case)

What can I say, I like this pot. Made very well (albeit in China, but what is now not done in China ..). The inner pot is just great on its own, nice to hold. Thick, heavy stainless steel.

Here's what was inside, a red cup just for comparison:

I have read so many things in recent weeks that, as a result, I made myself a plate of modes and settings (I'll post it later).
This is my first device of this kind (so I apologize if anything), but I have been studying the topic for a long time and in the last couple of hours I managed to cook rice, make chicken with carrots and nuts and put on yogurt.
From preliminary impressions, it seems to me that the following is interesting here:
- frying is possible on three levels, on the strongest one it fries no worse than any pan on the stove, and evenly. 1000 watts and what seems to be good heat distribution along the bottom do the trick.
- if you need a pressure cooker function, 99% of all recipes for this saucepan use the so-called.manual mode . since this is the easiest: low / strong pressure + time. All these smart programs (those that work with pressure) may be smart, but, in principle, they are not really needed. Just interesting for orientation. Basmati rice was the first pancake, it turned out just brilliant and not lumpy at all. Not worse than that of your beloved Chinese (soak in cold water for 15 minutes, drain, one and a half volumes of water, 4 minutes at high pressure). I haven't tried the "rice" program yet, although it seems to be completely automatic, nothing needs to be set, it will determine the time itself depending on the weight (probably ..)
- brewing function: the temperature cannot be set directly (as, for example, in Shteba), but there are three degrees: 88-94 ° C, 90-96 ° C and 93-99 ° C, at max. 20 hours. It seems that this is completely enough (I have not yet seen user complaints), only sous-vide cannot be done. Well, it's still good for this to have a separate device ...
- I’m testing the function of yogurt right now, and tomorrow we’ll see what happens. The function of pasteurization of milk is interesting. If I understood correctly, the milk heats up to 83 degrees and lasts for 10 minutes. I poured in 2 liters of milk (walking like that), the whole pasteurization process took about 30 minutes. I set the yogurt itself for 10 hours. You can, of course, do it in glasses (or in any other vessels), but they are not included.
Franky
Well, in general, a multicooker pressure cooker without unnecessary awnings, comfortable and well-made, allowing you to do whatever you want. (This is my first impression so far). There are a lot of recipes for it, discussions and forums on the network, in Europe it has been sold since February 2015 (at 220 volts and with appropriate plugs) and people are very actively buying and using it. the amount of information is growing just before our eyes, mostly in English. Before that there were only American 110 volt versions.
Franky
I also found it convenient that the lid can either be completely removed, or you can stick it into one of the handles, on the left or right, as it is more convenient (as in one of the photos above).
Lerele
Franky, listen, cool saucepan, reminds me of moulinex, there is also high and low pressure, and time, but without pre-installed programs.
The only thing is that the oven will not work in a stainless steel.
Can you buy an additional teflon bowl?
Franky
they promise to release it in the spring (but they already threatened last fall and so far nothing), but people just actively use any other container. detachable forms 18 cm seem to fit perfectly. They bake everything, from muffins to bread ...

this is understandable, but in the enlarged form it is still not very readable. Or is it tolerable?
Lerele
Franky, I can see everything, a bit like blurry letters, but everything is readable.
Franky
The yogurt function test went off with a bang, 2 liters of excellent probiotic yogurt are ready - tasty, plump, as the doctor ordered. The old yogurt maker will be retired
Tanya-Fanya
Franky, with your help! Let him serve faithfully!

You can put baking paper in your stainless steel pot, and then the dough and there will be no need to even look for molds.

The stainless steel bowl has its own charm - do not shake over it, so as not to scratch.

Thank you! It's true about stainless steel. Long-lasting and taking into account all these discussions about the dangers of Teflon ... One way or another, all other things being equal, I prefer stainless steel for dishes, if it is in constant use, I might even buy a second bowl. It's just as convenient as a good-sized bowl :-) about paper - a good idea, you have to try.
Tanya-Fanya
Have you ever tried to cook oatmeal porridge for breakfast?
Lerele
Franky, and you fermented yogurt with what ???
And I also love my stainless steel from the shteba. And yours has a good saucepan, I climbed yesterday on the Amazon, there is an extra bowl for it and it’s so solid that it’s on the photo, I was already jealous,

not yet (she, that is, a saucepan, just moved in with me yesterday), but I will be there soon. And millet too.

I really like it, better / tastier than a couple of others that I also tried. It is also convenient in that you do not need to worry about leaving a couple of spoons from the previous yogurt. The bags are in the refrigerator as much as necessary (in an airtight jar).

there is an extra bowl for her and is so solid
so I am about that. she is not only cool in the picture.

just cooked (the remnants of oatmeal did not fit in the jar they put it, I had to urgently figure out the porridge)
quick-boiled oatmeal (but not instant, just thinner), 1: 3, water and milk in half.
10 minutes at high pressure, then 10 minutes of cooling with the valve closed, then I opened everything.
Everything turned out well, nothing was burnt. Slightly stuck to the bottom, but after mixing everything was fine.
in the next. times I will put about 7 minutes and a little less liquid, for example 1: 2.5
Lerele
I can't go to the forum, I have two pressure cookers, both excellent, and the shteba and the brand 6050, but I wanted yours, but I don't, I don't

Thank you! Cool experiment. It turns out that in a pressure cooker and in a simple multicooker, this porridge takes the same time to cook - 20 minutes.

But this is not the main purpose of the pressure cooker, but, let's say, an accompanying one.
Franky
Tanya-Fanya, I think that 5 minutes would be enough there, but all the same - until the pressure picks up, until it goes down ... such a mess, really, is not necessary to cook under pressure. It will be more interesting with millet porridge.
Lisichkalal
Franky, Congratulations on your purchase !!!! And thanks for the topic!
I myself looked at her all the holidays, but I did not dare for 2 reasons:
1. There is no additional coated bowl for it,
2. In one of the reviews I read that the bottom of the bowl is uneven and in order to fry something, you have to pour a lot of oil so that it covers the entire bottom, and not just those areas that are lower in the bowl.
I don't know if this is true, but because of this, I still haven't ordered it.
Franky
Lisichkalal, Thank you!
the bottom is really slightly concave, but this did not affect the roasting, according to my observations. Fries well, no more oil was needed. To be honest, I did not see any complaints about this (I read German, English and American pages), I probably missed it somewhere, but if there were a lot of such complaints, I probably would have noticed. In my opinion, everything is fine
They promised to release the non-stick bowl in the fall, but not yet, but I think it will appear. People simply insert suitable heat-resistant bowls (18 cm diameter seems to fit freely), if really necessary. And so, most likely everyone is happy that the bowl is made of stainless steel.
Lerele
For me, too, stainless steel works more than Teflon. Here is pilaf, yes, in Teflon, and soups, cereals, yogurt and baked milk are all in stainless steel.
Baking teflon.
Lisichkalal
I have a broken pressure cooker-smokehouse Unit. 6l. Interestingly, a cup from her can go to Sweat
Lisichkalal
Franky, did you buy it for a little over 100 euros?
Franky
169. In December in English. Amazon had some kind of sales and could have bought right there and would have received about 130 with delivery, but I screwed up, and the price did not change in German. Don't mix it up, there are other models (Lux is a very old model, you don't need it (without yogurt and 2 degrees of pressure) and Duo 7in1 with yogurt for 6 liters and 5 liters)

mine is this one (special for you from "your" Amazon (:
🔗.
Franky
so, the millet porridge turned out to be absolutely perfect. 1: 4, water mixed with milk, on the Porridge program, 15 minutes. Absolutely not burnt, not even stuck anywhere. Offset

I'm watching this
118 bucks

The same one as you sent me from the franz amazon, the only difference is in the price, if I didn't mess anything up)
gawala
I looked at the ibey how much the "shaitan machine" costs ... well, not cheap though ..
Franky
Lisichkalal, it is 110 volts plus delivery Pts. expensive. even if not for electricity, it would have been more expensive
Lisichkalal
Wow, there it is. It's good that I didn't order)))
Tanya-Fanya
FrankyHow are you doing with your new assistant?
Franky
all is well😊 I tortured her a little, but within reason разум cooks potatoes, steamed cheesecake, beef goulash and roast chicken a couple of times, yogurt twice already - she does what she is told. I think, from the point of functionality, it is very similar to Steba dd2 xl, except for the ability to set the temperature exactly to the degree. but from the point of ease of use it is difficult for me to judge, I did not have any shields. but about instant pot I can say that it is very convenient and easy to use, it is made soundly. it fits comfortably in the hand, so to speak :-)
The silicone ring, however, very easily absorbs odors (as with all devices of this kind, as I understand it), I will order myself a second one soon and will only use it for cereals and yogurt.
An interesting thing is a small container for collecting condensate, if it does drain from the lid during opening into the chute around the outer case. it still will not get inside, and it is more convenient to wipe the entire structure. a trifle, but convenient.
I am currently wandering around all the American pressure cooking sites - there are a couple of very smart places. And I bought one interesting book, I'll write it separately.
In principle, by and large, it doesn't matter which device to use as long as it does what it should. it's more important to know what to do😊
Tanya-Fanya
It is wonderful! What could be better than an obedient kitchen helper
biankausa
I have had this saucepan for a year now and I am not overjoyed. For me this salvation is straightforward.
Porridge in the morning: I threw cereals and milk and went to the shower, came back, the porridge is ready. Vegetables 3-5 minutes. Brussels sprouts 2 minutes. I usually wait for her to relieve the pressure herself, it does not bother, while I put it on the table, then and then she is ready.
It's cool to cook soups - I load everything together, meat, vegetables, maybe you can't open it during cooking!
My daughter doesn't like baking, she speaks too porous and dry. I somehow did pulled pork, it turned out rather dry, but maybe it was such meat. But the steak is very tasty, I just couldn't resist, although I don't eat in the evening.
The pilaf didn't work out. Yoghurt is wonderful. Condensed milk is thin, but they ate it all and so quickly (like they say, well, it was not very tasty)
The steel bowl is also a plus, in general I bought into it, this bowl. My cartoon, which is simpler, has a non-stick, but the coating is already peeling off, although I am shaking right over it.
In short, the verdict: it's worth taking. Last Christmas it was $ 120, taking into account a discount of $ 100 for what was called used and taking into account the opening of an Amazon Visa $ 80. In fact, there the box was slightly crumpled, and the saucepan was new. and I.
The rubber ring is yes, it smells. Me and vinegar soap - doesn't help. Now, if you rub it with an orange peel and let it dry, then the smell is significantly reduced.
Franky
biankausa, hurray, hurray, here the experienced people pulled themselves up!
Thanks for the tip with the ring! True, I bought a second one, for everything sweet and dairy, but smells always arise anyway, so I'll try.

How did you make condensed milk?

I have not tried pilaf yet. The chicken broth is great, the spinach filling for the ravioli is great too. Porridge, goulash and vegetables are classics of the genre. The first two muffins were unsuccessful, and this one with yoghurt is delicious and not dry at all. In general, I train while cooking under pressure. It seems to be a separate chapter in cooking. It is important to find the right recipes and find the time for your device. Electric pressure cookers always take about 15-20% more time than the classic ones that are put on the stove.

I have not tried Slow cook modes yet, but there are many plans. The yogurt is really great.Plus you can make a lot of it (I used to have a yogurt maker for 1 liter, it was not enough), now I do it for 2 liters of milk.

In Europe, Instantpot has been sold relatively recently, since the spring of last year (the "European" model for 220 volts, the seller is in England) and discounts are, unfortunately, rare. There are 2 Instant pot groups on Facebook, American and English, so the British always complain that American recipes are impossible and in general, who cooks like that
biankausa
I didn't know about the possibility of 2 rings, thanks for the info. I'll look at Amazon.
It's very simple to cook condensed milk: for a liter of milk, 300 g of sugar, load it with a cartoon (here, I forgot to install the program soon or slowly) and go to bed. Get up early in the morning, pour into a jar and stash it, otherwise how will I succeed.
I don't like slow cooking, I cooked the meat a couple of times, it turned out too boiled, all the juice ran into the sauce.
I hardly cook according to the book attached to the cartoon, with the exception of stewed potatoes. To my surprise, cartoons are not yet popular in America. That's why I started browsing Russian sites.
For a year I have been telling my employees what a wonderful cartoon thing is and what is it? None were interested. What can I say, in my own family she is also ignored.
While I was writing, I got stuffed with cabbage rolls, in 10 minutes we will eat, my daughter walks in circles, asks for food.
Lerele
And why be surprised, they don't really cook here in the evenings, they eat sandwiches. Rarely will anyone come running from work and start cooking. I still remember how I was shocked, a colleague told me at work what they had for dinner, says boiled potatoes with a quark, and everyone else admired her so much, oh, how delicious it is, they rolled their eyes. It amazed me so much, I tell everyone
There is a recipe for condensed milk, you can see what, how and how much there.
biankausa
Everything in haste is for sure. Although the TV is full of culinary programs and everyone watches them with pleasure.
olga71324
Franky, I really like this assistant, a bunch of questions really where to get the recipes? How to deal with programs? Where can you read it? Ourson 5005 really wanted, but I really like this one, and our price is almost three times less. This will be my first slow cooker
olga71324
And another question: can you cook only under pressure? With the lid closed? How to fry? Or how is it possible in a multicooker? Forgive the stupid questions, I only have Delongy's stove, but there are two buttons and no control, then I'm not at all in the subject
