Therefore, in the last year, I began to sterilize cans of tomatoes (and prunes) in the oven.
I fill the jars in the usual way (after drying in the oven), fill them with olive oil, close them with lids, and put them on a baking sheet for sterilization and in the oven at 90-100 * C for about 1 hour. Then I check the lids to make sure they are tight, and turn the cans onto the lids until they cool completely. No blankets are required on top, let them cool down, the oil is very hot, and will cool for a long time.

I always use only olive oil. I have been slowly stocking it up since spring, so it turns out cheaper and not so expensive if you buy a large amount at once. Yes, and discounts at this time are good for butter.
