Girls, do you think the cake can be frozen for transportation?
I am thinking how to deliver it to me from the dacha.
Linadoc
Elena, sure you may. You can just cool it down, I have it calmly for 3 days.
Natusichka
Lyudochka !!! Finally read this topic! I have no words! There are not enough of them to express my admiration for your efficiency, your enthusiasm, your imagination, ingenuity and, in general, you, as a MAN, as a HOSTESS !!!

I can't stop telling you THANKS! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For the fact that you not only accumulate these ideas in yourself, but also share them with us with pleasure! What a rich experience! And we all (I am sure that I express the opinion of everyone, without exception!) Study with great pleasure and admiration, trying to use your developments, your works, your experience!
Low bow to you for that!

In the fall, my husband and I definitely use raw juices every day for 1-2 months: beets, carrots, apples, cucumbers (while there is), pumpkin. And, of course, we throw away the cake ... I think that you can make such an assorted fiber (fruits + vegetables)?
In this regard, I have a question: how can you save the cake in order to collect enough quantity for making this product in the dryer (I have Isidri for 11 trays)? And approximately how much of this cake in raw form do you need? After all, a lot of cake does not work out at once ...
WolfsAngel
A useful topic. Thank you.

I wondered what to do with the apple cake after the juicer, I had to dispose of it.
But I managed to dry some of the peels from apples and pears.

Now we will use it with benefit.

Lyudmila, I will also subscribe to every word and add my thanks!
A very useful and useful topic! Everything is painted and shown in detail and beautifully
Huge THANKS for your hard work and desire to share with everyone!
Elena_Kamch
MariV, Olgawhat an original tea! After dry fermentation, there will probably be a funky aroma!
francevna
Natusichka, I freeze the cake after juices, when a sufficient amount is collected, you can boil a little on the stove or in the microwave and make a marshmallow.
Natusichka
Alla, Thank you! I will keep this in mind.
But for now, I would like to make exactly the fiber or baking powder, or an additive to tea!
Elena_Kamch
And I dried the carrot cakes. Grind on a coffee grinder. This is what the powder turned out to be
Oil cake products: 1) fiber; 2) baking powder; 3) tea additives; 4) tea substitute
Added to bread. We really enjoyed!
francevna
Elena, cake after carrot juice remained, what did you cook?
Elena_Kamch
francevna, Alla, carrot cake, yes, after the juice. Until the autumn we drink it every day, the sea cake is simple.
And what did you cook from what?
I added the cake powder to the dough when the bread was kneaded. I didn't put in very much, I decided to first see how the dough would behave. We really enjoyed! Next time I'll add more.
Natusichka
Lena, how much is "a little"?
Elena_Kamch
Natusichka, yes spoons 3 tablespoons for two small buns of bread. I do everything by sight ...
Natusichka
I understood everything, thanks Helen.
Elena_Kamch
Natusichka, but not at all! It is necessary to carefully read what Luda writes about the volumetric ratio of such a powder to flour. Otherwise, I always throw my eyes around and run further ... No, I would not weigh everything but do it according to the rules
Natusichka
And if there is carrot cake + beetroot + pumpkin, do you think it will be good in bread?
natushka
Elena_Kamch, Elena, and what kind of juicer do you use?
Fenya
lappl1, Lyudmila, you have no price for such a useful topic! And everything is described in such detail, with feeling, with sense ...

Lenochka, started collecting cake!
Elena_Kamch
Natusichka, write the result later! Interesting
Personally, we really liked the bread on the railway! And with cakes, some kind of bun resembles
Natusichka
So you did the cake on the railway?
Elena_Kamch
Well yes. Now I only have a railway. The leaven was not used for a long time and was disposed of. I haven't baked on ordinary yeast for a long time.

Thank you, Lyudmila!
After this topic, my culinary horizons expanded significantly and pleasant efforts were added to implement your original ideas.
Small report:

After squeezing a bucket of apples, I got two baking sheets of pomace, previously passed through a meat grinder.
Oil cake products: 1) fiber; 2) baking powder; 3) tea additives; 4) tea substitute
Dry for a long time, almost all day at 80 degrees in the oven.
And this is the result from one baking sheet.

Oil cake products: 1) fiber; 2) baking powder; 3) tea additives; 4) tea substitute

Girlfriends sign up in line for gifts - these are jars with real fragrant apple fiber.
And I will tell them honestly that I shared the idea and taught me a wonderful woman Lyudmila!
An4utka
She promised to report on Jerusalem artichoke syrup. From about a kilogram of tubers, 200 milliliters of syrup turned out, the sweetness is very conditional. It was stored in the refrigerator, thickened to the state of sour cream. I made buns, added 2 dessert spoons to a glass of flour, it turned out a little sweet, well, as if I put 2 teaspoons of sugar. She concluded that there was too much fuss with so much syrup at this level of sweetness. True, I did it from raw juice, and to increase the sugar yield, it is recommended to take steamed tubers. Maybe then something more intelligible will turn out ...

Good afternoon girls! The idea with fiber is just wonderful! The only thing is that you don't mind coffee grinders? I once killed more than one with grass. Then I went to grind dry herbs in a meat grinder. It turns out a good powder, even from tough stems. Probably, the cake granules will also grind well, including all sorts of bones and films from seeds.
Olga
Girls and boys. Have you started to stock up on fiber yet? Or is there a lot of last year? I do it for the first time, from red currant cake. Lyudmilochka, thanks for the science.
francevna
Made some fiber from apricot and raspberry.
Raspberries have such a strong aroma, you might think that the flavor was added, I did not even expect. But very large grains. I will dry it while the raspberries are being harvested, I will pass them through a screw juicer.
lappl1
Olga, from fruit - not yet. The berries grow a little, so we eat them and preserve them for the winter. Apples will ripen, I will make apples.
Have you seen Lina's recipe for fiber from ivan tea stems? By analogy, I made it from grapes, since now I don't have Ivan-tea. Haven't tested yet ...
Olga
lappl1, Lyudochka, a good idea about grapes, I don't have Ivan tea either.

ekivoka_i, Thank you ! And the coffee grinder does a great job with the granules - they are not as hard as coffee. If coffee can be grinded, then why not grind the granules. But I would not grind dry grass either - there is a heterogeneous fraction, most likely the stems will clog it. I stopped grinding sugar for powder - the motor is clogged there. And granules are the most harmless material.

francevna, Allochka, maybe then grind the grains in a mortar? In general, grains of raspberries, gooseberries, currants never bother me. I am very well aware of their benefits.
ekivoka_i
lappl1, well, I will grind on a coffee grinder without fear. And the idea of using grass in this capacity is generally luxurious. I remember a dietary supplement in the form of ground dry alfalfa for big money - it didn't even stand next to our apple herbs! Now, I will use the unused teas and the remaining unused herbs for silage.
lily_a
Good day. Ground the dried barberry cake. Sifted through a sieve. It smells delicious. Got a question. Is this fiber good for use as a thickener in ketchup sauces? Sometimes there is no time to cook them for a long time. And the supplement seems to be useful. If there are apples or carrots ??
Tumanchik
Oh, you need to tell me too. Lyudochka, thank you for the science. I recently cleaned refrigerators. Last year's cranberries stood in the water. I passed it through a sieve and the cake remained. I spilled it a couple of times, and then dried it in the dryer. Ground in a coffee grinder and sent to bread. What a smell it was !!!! Just magical. I advise everyone and thank you dear!

lily_a, lilyas an additive will do. You need to look at taste so that the barberry does not interrupt the taste of everything else. But it is hardly worth hoping that this will shorten the cooking time. In barberry, there are no starchy substances.
I am using another way to shorten the time.

I twist everything in a meat grinder, let it boil, put it on a plastic basket with small cells or a two-layer colander. Let it stand for 15 - 20 minutes. "Water" flows down, but a thick mass remains in the basket. If you need a homogeneous mass without seeds and skins, I rub it through a double metal colander using a potato grinder, which looks like a heel on a handle. Not a single seed skips. It remains only to boil, add various additives, boil a little more and the sauce is ready. For more than 20 years I have been cooking this way. It turns out very quickly.

Tumanchik, dear, how glad I am that you have joined the fiber. I understand your delight! Cook for your health, Ira! Next year, maybe you’ll focus on fiber. It can be made of everything, not just cake. Well, you were making strawberry powder, so you're not in the first one.
udalov
Hello. Question on the recipe from the first page: why should the cake after the juicer be passed through a meat grinder and granules are made, which are then ground into powder in a coffee grinder? Immediately you can not dry the cake and grind it in a coffee grinder?
Kestrel
udalov, Maxim, if you carefully read the first post, you can see the following (sorry, I can't quote for technical reasons, I'm just copying from ST):
lappl1
* I foresee the question: "Why not dry the cake in a dryer or in the oven, without twisting it in a meat grinder?" First, the aesthetic appearance of the finished product is very important to me.I think everyone will agree that the granules look much prettier than the shapeless dried mass of cake. Secondly, I, of course, tried to do it. But on pallets and baking sheets the cake could not be spread out in a thin and even layer. As a result, the drying time of the cake did not differ in favor of this option. In some places the cake was already dry, and in some places it was wet. On the face - an increase in drying time and a deterioration in the quality and appearance of the product. I didn't even feel like photographing the mass that I got. *

lappl1
Kestrel, Anna, thanks for answering Maxim!
Maxim, and you try both options and see for yourself that it is better to twist the mass in a meat grinder after all.

Hello experimental girls! I came to say another thank you)
In the summer, the whole family actively put a spoke in my wheels. First, the strawberries were cut just a couple of days before my arrival. Okay, survived, but warned for raspberries. The result - I left for a few days, during this time the raspberries were also eliminated! "Why? Rest, daughter, we are trying to make your life easier." RRRRRRRRRR! It's the same with tomato juice - you just had to look away. Apples this summer were only to eat alive and to dry the early carrion for compotes. As a result, I caught the moments when dad peeled apples for himself and just dragged them on the skin to dry ... By the way, although not on such an industrial scale as some, I prepared several jars. Grind dry in a meat grinder, without further grinding and poured it into kefir for the first time. It turned out something like ready-made expensive yogurt with fruit additives! He thickened himself, giving off the liquid, well, the pieces are felt on the teeth, for additional satiety in sensations. I decided that I would take such a thing with me for a quick snack on the go.
Yes, even from last year there was a dried Far Eastern mountain ash and also an irga, or something. In compotes, they do not really play, I dare and also use them for supplements, it will be much more useful.
Here's an ambush - parents have exhausted Jerusalem artichoke on the site, sadness ... Otherwise, they would drive the juice, and harvest and dry the cake like this, a very useful thing.

Oh, and one more thing - my mother made tkemali sauce from plums, here I did not blunder! The skins were harvested, dried and crushed. They were left, however, to my mother - I somehow doubted the positive effect of such a product on my intestines, and it was just right for my mother. She makes oatmeal for breakfast (she just pours it in), along with dried fruits, and fiber there too.

ekivoka_i, Hello!
Well, just a thriller called "Pomace and Skins Destroyers"!
But you got out of the situation with dignity. I am very glad that you managed to try to make a useful product. I hope you will have better luck next season.
Good luck to you .
ekivoka_i

lappl1, Lyudmila, thank you very much! And good luck and new recipes to you in the new year! Although I really don't know what else I can think of after your topics!
Linadoc
ekivoka_i, and this year I used this Lyudochkin recipe very widely! Especially cool raspberry and currant cake went. I made juices with zucchini, and dried and milled the berry cake. It turned out a lot, two liter cans of ground. Then I added this fiber to tea mixes, the aromaaaaat is amazing, the flavors are resting. And what a benefit! I made a medicinal mix with needles and raspberries and raspberry fiber there, instantly heals a cough and lowers the temperature. And also raspberry fiber instead of Ivan-tea fiber in oat cookies added, in a double dose. In general, it turned out superb, awesome tasty and healthy cookies with a raspberry flavor and rosy
ekivoka_i
Linadoc, raspberries and currants are just my dream. Once, in the dashing 90s, she left with her husband far from home, ate, one might say, everything that could be obtained. Then they collected American currants and a perch in the plantings, and what jelly I did! And from the cake for a long time then I cooked a compote-concentrate.It's 40 degrees outside all month and the wind is like from a blast furnace - you come home, pour a full glass of ice and add compote, here it is happiness ...

ekivoka_i, to your health! Thank you for your kind words! So you want to get you vegetables, fruits, berries for cake. In any case, I wish you this with all my heart!
I can advise you to make friends with your neighbors - that's where the Klondike is!
Linadoc, Linochka, yes, you not only used the recipe, but also invented so many new things of your own! I really wanted to cook your elixir, but we don't have needles in the steppe. Next year we will try to go to the mountains with our son, maybe we can get some (the environmental service does not sleep there). And let's try to plant conifers. Maybe they will take root ...
Linadoc, ekivoka_i, girls, you described your sweets so deliciously, I just wanted to take it and do everything.
Thank you girls for the reports. I am so pleased that the recipe does not sleep in your bookmarks, but works, heals and pleases. Delicious blanks for you in the coming new year!
Longina
Ludmilahow well I ran into this topic! I have a sore point: my son loves carrot juice and squeezes it himself. And my economic nature does not allow me to throw away the cake. At first, I froze it and then added it to cutlets, then to chicken liver soufflé. Then a dryer appeared in the house and I dried the cake. At least it takes up less space. I haven't added it to bread yet, but I'm going to. Cakes, muffins and cutlets from pure carrots were not included in the family categorically! Now I'll try it in yoghurt, and in the summer I'll dry it from apples and berries.
