Bake
Hello everyone!
I use my pressure cooker (SV) to the fullest, I hardly use the stove. I have a redmond 380.

But yesterday there was some kind of incident.

I set the soup to cook (on the "Soup" program). As a rule, I am always in the kitchen, at least until the valve closes, and then I went out and closed the door again. I put it on for 10 minutes. After 20 minutes I go to check, the CB is off (the dashes are flashing, as when canceling), the valve has not yet fallen, but almost from below, steam is oozing out from under the lid, the screen is fogged up, the case is hot, it has never been like this.

I turned the second valve to release the steam, only a little came out, opened the lid, you could see from the bowl that there was a strong bubbling (drips on the walls), there was liquid on the rim, the container for condensate was full and you could see what was still running out of it).

I checked the valves - clean. I suspect I left the valve open. As soon as it didn't explode

The soup was undercooked, which means that the SV did not gain pressure, it was just that the liquid was bubbling and steam was flowing.

I decided to cook it, put the bowl of soup again, turned on the "Soup" program for 5 minutes, and closed the valve. Everything went as usual. Only the screen was terribly foggy.

And yet, I do not remember how it was before - the O-ring does not fit snugly to the twig, which goes around the ring at the rim of the lid, dangles a little. Is that how it should be?
I took it off, put it on the rim of the bowl, it is no larger than the bowl, it fits snugly, there are no gaps.

What could be the reason that the bowl overheated? The fact that I did not close the valve (I don’t remember this moment) or something else? I would not like to repeat this ...
And what to do with the fogged up screen? It has been drying since yesterday, but has not yet cleared ...
SvetaI
Olga, it happened to me in Shtebe when the O-ring was warped - steam came out from under the lid, there was a violent boil and the pressure was not really gathered.
In Redmond, the O-ring loosens a little, but in Stebe it is stronger, at least in my copy. Therefore, I always check it and try to keep my finger on the pulse until the pressure is set.
It only confuses me

Or can you turn off the automatic start of heating after the end of the program, and this is how you usually do?

Or can you turn off the automatic start of heating after the end of the program, and this is how you usually do?
yes, I usually turn off the heating, and this time too.
but, after all, the pressure did not accumulate, which means that the program should not have started, but turned off automatically when overheating, this SV has an overheating protection function and this saved it.

-------------------------

and what will happen to the fogged up screen? will pass? or will it affect the subsequent work of the CB?
SvetaI
Olga, in Redik I have not had this yet, and in Shtebe it dried up in a few days. I, just in case, did not use the device in this state, but you were able to cook the soup, which means it does not affect the work.
I think it will dry out on the sly, where to go

I am reporting.
The screen is still fogged up
But the SV works as before.
Yesterday I stewed meat, without any problems, as before.
True, she did not leave until the pressure was accumulated.

The display has finally dried out, the condensation has disappeared. It dried out for about 9 days.

Girls, Happy New Year everyone! Santa Claus gave me this slow cooker! Tell pzhl, can you cook bone broth in it? Will it get scratched?
SvetaI
lyalya74, happy New Year! What a quick-witted Santa Claus! Enjoy
Better, of course, to get another steel pan, broth on the bone is definitely not scary for her, but I believe in the regular bowl as long as nothing is scratched.
lyalya74
Thank you! Yes, I'll have to cook in my own bone for now ...

Girls, I'm going to ask a lot now ... this is my first cartoon. And the rice in the recipes is only steamed, but simple can you? I like it not very much like steamed.
SvetaI
lyalya74, and what recipes with rice do you mean? If it's just rice by itself, then of course you can also ordinary. not steamed, even better for milk porridge. For friable, you will have to choose the time and amount of water. If something like pilaf, then for my taste steamed is better, it takes longer to cook and there are more chances that while the meat is cooking, the rice will not turn into a mess. But, again - a matter of technology, you can certainly adapt
lyalya74
SvetaI, yeah, got it, thanks! Today I cooked rice with vegetables according to the recipe from the book, even weighed everything. Mine really liked it, and me too, I didn't feel the difference between steamed and ordinary. So I'll do it from steamed. And where else can you see the recipes for this multicooker, can you tell me? Or recipes from any multi will do?
SvetaI
Quote: lyalya74
recipes from any multi will do?
In principle, yes, only the names of the programs may differ, the correspondence is not always obvious. But on our site, in my opinion, there are quite a few recipes for Redmond, they are suitable for multi-cook modes. Look more recipes for multivaki - Shteba's pressure cooker, it is very close in functionality and is popular with our members of the forum, recipes - the sea.

Girls, hello!
I choose a multicooker.
I will not dare to do anything. Forum since 2015, the model is not new. Is it worth taking? I really want to buy a stainless steel bowl for her, but I couldn't find anything suitable. Tell me pliz. No way without you
sarman
OksanaWhy can't you make up your mind? This slow cooker is good for everyone, only it fries delicately and the bowl is really one. What is your preferred cup or program?
Azalina
There are enough programs for me, I really wanted a stainless steel bowl for cooking soups and broths. Can anyone know which one else will work? And tell me, is it really 6 liters? I look at the reviews, they put 3 jars of 0.5 liters in it for the carcass. I got up in 5 liter 4 jars calmly.
And then, what's the cup already?

Lenat, Lend sold such bowls before, now they only have bowls of standard size 6L, but they are 3 mm higher and with such a tall bowl the lid of our scrambler does not close! I'm talking about it earlier, already wrote.

Curd soufflé

Made on the program Baking.
For the first time, just in a saucepan, on Baking, the default temperature (140 degrees) is 1 hour, then on heating for 1 hour. I didn't get it right away. The casserole turned out to be very tender, but strongly fell off, apparently even at the baking stage, and was not very successfully removed from the bowl.
The second time I did it in a silicone mold, on Baking, the valve is open, 150 degrees - 55 minutes, then on heating for 30 minutes and left overnight in a bowl.
Almost did not fall out, it was perfectly removed from the mold, it turned out also very delicate.

If there is a desire to get a completely white one, without a fried crust, you can probably pour some water on the bottom of the bowl, but I was afraid, because my form got into the bowl very tightly, without gaps and it was not clear how the steam would behave in this situation.
In general, who loves such dishes - our device is suitable for them!
tascha
I looked at the e-catalog dimensions, height 36 cm. Is that correct? It is necessary to cram into the place of the old gag.
SvetaI
tascha, now I measured it - it turned out to be 33 cm. This is the total height with the lid closed, taking into account the protruding handle.
tascha
SvetaI, Oh thanks!!! And yet, at the beginning of the topic it was written that on some program it soars a lot. One of the reasons for buying a pressure cooker is to get rid of the steam when cooking on the stove. The previous pressure cooker emitted steam only if the valve was moved after cooking.
SvetaI
Soaring on the Express program is boiling cereals without pressure with an open valve. Well, steam cooking too, of course, you can't do without steam.

It is the same here for programs under pressure.

No, it is 3 mm lower than its native bowl and simply will not touch the bottom.
But! There is also the possibility of measurement error. The easiest way, if possible, is to put both (native and candidate) bowls side by side and compare the height and diameter. Or, put the candidate bowl on a flat surface and use one ruler to measure its height by placing the ruler strictly vertically next to the bowl, then, with the other ruler, measure the actual measurement of the bowl height using the first ruler, including the bottom line, which also participated in the measurement.

that's just the point, to compare - you need to buy! And the photo shows that the ruler does not start from scratch, which means that the bowl is still higher and there is still an error.
This topic has been discussed so many times, hasn't a stainless steel suitable for this multicooker appeared during this time? Maybe someone did find it? and to be on sale?

Quote: Swan-Seagull
the photo shows
That the height is measured incorrectly!
Quote: Robopovar-ru
How to measure the height correctly? No, if you take the bowl in your hands and hold the ruler against the wall, you will get everything except what you need. It is necessary to put the bowl with its base on a flat surface (for example, a table without a tablecloth), put a ruler there, counting from zero, and measure the height along the upper cut of the side. If your ruler is not zero-based, add the pre-measured interval before zero to the altitude reading. The ruler should be perpendicular to the table.
Height tolerance - 1 mm. That is, a lid with a 145.5 mm bowl will normally enter and close a multicooker with a bowl 144.5 mm high.

I also studied Robopovar. And she corresponded with the store that sent the photo. The most annoying thing is that they also have our slow cooker, I asked to stupidly try on the available bowl in the existing cartoon, after this request - silence ...
Marina, so if this bowl is still 16 cm (I am always suspicious when the dimensions are written in cm, and not in mm), then 2 mm is critical? And now the thickness of the walls - 0.4 mm - is it more like foil? And you shouldn't worry?
An interesting moment: when declared at the office. site height 16 cm - packing height - 152 mm! Well, how can you shove a bowl there?

I bought this cartoon
But I was a little upset. Only when I started to try, I realized what it means, the time is set after the device entered the program.
It turns out if the standard 20 min. are not suitable for soup, then programming is carried out in two stages.
1) exhibited ,, soup ,,;
2) I have to wait for some time and then set what I need.
And I am so used to throwing food on my previous one, putting on the multi-cooker what I need and running on business. Can't it work here?
How do you deal with this? How long does it take to get the program set?
Thanks in advance to everyone !!!!

LL, with the purchase!
Set the desired program, immediately set the desired cooking time (see instructions), turn on the start and go about business. Remember to put the valve in the desired position (with or without pressure). The device builds up pressure and turns on. There is no need to stand over it. Pressure can gain in time in different ways, it all depends on the volume of the dish and its initial temperature, but within 5-20 minutes.
SvetaI
Larysa, congratulations on your purchase! Don't be discouraged, it's not that bad
1. Expose the SOF program. The default time on the display is 20 minutes. If this time does not suit you, then:
2. Press the Time button
3.Use the Minutes and Hours buttons to set the desired cooking time.
4. Press the Start button.
5. Run on business
If you forgot to set the desired time before starting the program, you can do this during operation. For programs under pressure - after pressure build-up and countdown. With the same buttons Time, Hours, Minutes. For programs without pressure - at any time. I often add time, for example, on the Fry program.
If you have an instruction, read it carefully, there all these possibilities are described for each program. It's all easy, adapt.
