same. And I also didn't like that it sticks to my teeth a lot when you eat.
I want a gingerbread
Faith, yes. It sticks. If this is the correct technology, then some secret remained unrevealed, because all these syrups are specially made so that they do not crystallize. which means that in such a state they should not "glaze over". Rather, it is a property of candy caramel. But to cook it in such a scanty amount ... I can't even imagine how)
Margarita Aliyeva
this is not caramel, I asked) maybe the syrup is diluted with something for ease? The video shows lightweight corn syrup, they touch the gingerbread and everything is ok, it does not stick. Glucose is much thicker, I have both products. You should try it with syrup

I also watched a video from Mexican confectioners there - they diluted Cake glosse with food paints and painted a stained glass window. They said that it is suitable for everything: from cookies to cakes)) I don't know if it sticks, because I don't have this gloss. There he is in a glass bottle. There are suspicions that this is food grade varnish))

that's what I'm talking about) Any syrup is sugar in a liquid state, the only difference is in raw materials. Even jam, the same syrup. because if you smear it with a thin layer, then it will not become hard) it will be a candy. sticky, sticky.
There is some kind of chemical needed so that the sugar crystallizes back in the syrup.
Margarita Aliyeva
I want a gingerbread, well, maybe a miracle happens in contact with gingerbread icing?))) In general, while I do not have a gingerbread, I will try it with corn syrup. If it does not dry out, then I will ask the author what kind of setup))))

Good evening! Here I have a question just for Ms Bee and Vei - I waited for my projector with Ali ... I stumbled, poked around today - I can't figure out how to focus the picture of the size I need. The focus of this device is 0.8 - 2 m. If I approach the table as I need it by the size of the picture, everything is blurry, one color spot. If I take it higher - the picture is clear, but half a table ... How to use this "beast" I don't understand at all ... Girls, dear ones, save me! For so long I explained to my husband that without a projector I’m not living - now I’m convincing that I’ll master it, “I just need time,” but I’m already in panic ...

add a dye to the corn syrup and put it on the gingerbread covered with white glaze and dried, but I think that you can cover the already colored gingerbread with syrup and it will not be worse.
Quote: Margarita Aliyeva
I did not know that the syrup does not stick after drying .. I just have it in stock))
I was interested in a similar technique here \ posts above the photo of a pug \, the girls could not tell anything. began to try it myself. and so. glucose / corn / syrup, was applied to both icing and paint coating. it dries longer on icing, less on paint. but, over time, it began to "swell" there. where there was even the slightest tilt. from above it is not linden, but inside it was "alive". like resin from a cherry tree) eating the gingerbread itself was unpleasant. it was sticky to the teeth and was cloying.
I also tried the gel decor. the result is a little better, but it's still not it.
Margarita Aliyeva
Natkamoras you can see from the video, a very thin layer of syrup is placed on the gingerbread. Maybe this is the case?
Sahara
poglazowa2011, on the projector body there should be a small roller-wheel, ribbed, twisting it, directing the desired focus. On my old projector, this thing is on the front side (where the control panel is) in the opposite side from the projection window, on a new projector - on the side at the end not far from the charger socket.
Twirl it in your hands and carefully examine your device, there must be something to adjust the focus.
Margarita Aliyeva
I just found a confectionery varnish "Sugar Veil" in the network. Here's what they write about it: Confectionery varnish is ideal for giving gloss to various confectionery products. Fits perfectly on sugar mastic, chocolate and marzipan.
Application: Apply varnish to the finished product by spraying from a bottle. After application to the surface, leave to dry completely
and composition: ionized water, sugar, citric acid, drinking alcohol, cherry flavor identical to natural. Maybe this is it?))
Sahara
Girls. about the glossy coating or, as it is also called, edible fusing, in OKs I saw a similar gingerbread on a girl from Kharkov, asked her what and how she did, wrote to me in a personal that she mixed glucose syrup with alcohol, dyed it in the desired color and filled it in fragments separately, having previously made a stroke with a contrast color on a white fill. She does not know the proportions, she did it by eye, to the thickness, like pouring icing, she poured from pastry bags. I did not try
said it does not stick, for the smell I added vanilla extract.

I have not tried, there is no desire, no time. But the stained glass gingerbread looks cool.

Margarita Aliyeva, Margarita, have you looked at the price of this varnish? It is unlikely that such an expensive ingredient is included in the recipe.
I have such a varnish, I took it to fix the picture after printing.
Firstly, it is not transparent, but with a slight yellowness, and secondly, it is applied in a very thin layer, if applied in a thicker layer, the product becomes cloudy, somewhat like a layer of gelatin.

Perhaps on chocolate and mastic, it behaves differently, but in the pictures printed on the gingerbread there was just such an effect.
I want a gingerbread
Natkamor, All day I think about it, and I am inclined to believe that it is in the original and is) CONDITIONALLY EDIBLE. I would like to try how it tastes with reference craftswomen. but ... there is no such possibility) I came across this phenomenon many times. And lace according to standard recipes is not tasty, even this topic is on our forum. and do not gnaw the ice figures. There is only one answer, these are decorations, take off before eating. But it is important for me that it is pleasant and tasty. I do it only for the family and for gifts. It's funny, to try for a week, to make beauty on gingerbread, and then watch how it all is removed and thrown away (I bring all the recipes to mind. I have already filled the pieces of paper with icing, I will now experiment with the "glass"))
Margarita Aliyeva
Sahara, perhaps alcohol is a secret ingredient)) I also need this stained glass window not for gingerbread, but for mastic cakes))

he's in spray, this varnish. It looks like water, it costs 400 rubles, I don't know if it's expensive or not. The one that turns yellow is like a different varnish, with a different composition on goma arabica
By the way, the Mexicans have exactly the same appearance, which I wrote about above
Sahara
I also have a spray, Italian, the composition is almost the same, it generally reminds me of hairspray, only the smell is delicious.
I just saw these stained glass gingerbread cookies very large, that is, the coverage area is large, which means the consumption is serious, I think a bottle of such varnish would not be enough for many gingerbread cookies.

There is a wheel, but it focuses only into the distance ... Is the size of the picture adjustable only by focus, or do you need to upload a small size initially?

And at what distance from the gingerbread is the picture from your projector minimally projected? The woman didn't have a pig ...

It seems to be not the cheapest one took ...

girls, and who worked with such varnish? if yes, share your experience

poglazowa2011, my focus is adjusted both near and far, for me it makes no difference what resolution the picture is, the minimum distance from the table is 25 cm, but my projectors are not from China, one German, I ordered another in America.
The focus adjusts only the sharpness, the control panel should have buttons for decreasing and increasing the picture by 2, 4, 6, and 8 times. Very large pictures can be reduced only 2 times, these are those that are more than 1 MB.
When you turn on the projector, a menu appears, first you select a USB flash drive or card, then a photo, then folders. if you have created them, open the picture, then press pause or stop so that there are no slides. This is my understanding. you do it.
So, in the same line below under the picture there are more buttons, with an arrow to the right you select a button, there are like 11 buttons, the last two are buttons for the Zoom effect (zoom in / zoom out, zoom out, zoom out), You just need to scroll to the end with the arrow ...
In any case, that's how it works for me.

NatkamorNatasha, this is actually a varnish for yeast sweet baking, the basis of this dry mixture is milk protein, egg powder (whole egg), beta-carotene as a dye, and a little more Yeshek.
poglazowa2011
Lera, can you name the brand of the projector and the characteristics? Well, the price too, maybe I have the simplest one ... No zoom, no increase - no reduction ...

Edible, but not tasty (sooo high concentration of sugars, up to bitterness, so I won't cover it entirely.
just got caught. Svetlana Pechenkina in the description of such gingerbread "Gingerbread" Lacquer stained glass ". Smooth, similar to the real one. I give the recipe for lacquer in the master class, you can cover any gingerbread with it and it will be glossy. Lacquer does not stick to the hands and packaging, does not make the gingerbread more firm, does not affect taste or quality at all. "

The first German Aiptek MobileCinema Q20 cost about 100 euros, but it was already discontinued, there is a 12 lumen lamp.
Second AAXA Ultra Portable Pocket Projector price $ 119, stock, 25 lumen lamp.
I hid links to stores under the spoiler, there are full characteristics in the description.

Girls, about the gloss of eminent craftswomen, it is true that this is conditionally edible decor. Ask them if they make these to order, most likely the answer is no. I will not name her about one of the craftswomen, in my MK, but I know for sure now that it is glucose syrup, not diluted, that is used.

poglazowa2011, I have exactly the cheapest projector with Ali, I took thousands for two, it seems, but there were no problems with it, my focus is adjusted by twisting the lens. According to the instructions, the minimum distance is 0.4.I probably set it to 0.35

Of course, I did not use expensive, branded ones, so I am very pleased with my own.

Yes, and I did not adjust the pictures in advance, maybe for now, as I downloaded it, I throw it on a USB flash drive.
Sahara
Natkamor, Natasha, yes, the composition is the same, except for preservatives, I think such a varnish can be made yourself from powdered milk or dry cream and egg powder, then you will not need to dry it in the oven either, in principle we dry it only because of raw egg yolk, namely the yolk may be contaminated with salmonella.

"Lacquered stained glass" is very good! In Odnoklassniki, Linochka Torez also gives MK for such gingerbread.
poglazowa2011
Ms Bee, could you tell me the model name, number? My focus is with limiters, this is probably the problem ...

I can't insert a photo ...

Here. This green lever adjusts the focus - either up to the stop or down to the stop ...

For 1 liter of water you need about 100-120 g of this powder, I think it will be enough for a lot of gingerbread))
In Hungary, it is almost the same.
poglazowa2011
Lera, do you have exactly the same as on the second link? There are only 7 buttons, and you wrote about 11 ...
Sahara
Yes, the same, I wrote about virtual buttons. Not those on the projector body, but those that light up when you turn on the projector and a picture appears.
Maria, you have a very large projector, how can you hang it?
MsBee
Here is such a small, smaller palm.

Oh, got it wrong, I have it now, at the first link. But the principle of operation is the same, just the lamp is more powerful and there is a built-in fan.
poglazowa2011
And which on the second also suits you all? Maybe order it ...

Mine, too, with a palm. But here's a limited focus ...
Sahara
Maria, at the moment suits me, the one that I ordered from America, the price and technical characteristics are quite decent.
On the second link, there are only new models, where the lamps are more powerful, at least 50 lumens, but the price is 2 times more expensive.
If I were you, I would adapt myself to what I have, since there is no zoom effect, I can really download small pictures. Try it at work, maybe you will get used to it, at the same time, you will understand why this does not suit you, and what you need to consider next time when choosing a new projector.
It was important for me that it was convenient in work and that the price was unclouded.
Margarita Aliyeva
Natkamor, Odnoklassniki also has a woman, sells mk by stained-glass windows, takes it cheaper)) Damn, it would be a shame to pay, but there really is syrup))
poglazowa2011
Nastya, is that yours? But in its characteristics the focal length is from 1.4 m to 4 m ... How do you fix it? On a tripod above the table? And about how many cm to the table?

MsBee
poglazowa2011, externally, yes, such, but the characteristics are different. I threw it off where the photo is, the description in the screenshots, there is a focal length from 0.4 to 2.5 m. Yes, I mount it on a tripod, it has a special mount. A tripod is the simplest from a camera.

To the table, as I wrote cm 30-35, the tripod does not go down below.

Yesterday I diluted the syrup with alcohol, smeared a few spots in different concentrations. Dried up. But!!!! rolled up with pimples)))) alcohol apparently evaporated and there were places not covered. and the taste is disgusting, you can see some of the alcohol, it still leaked into the icing ... such a cyanotic aftertaste for half an hour, and the coffee has not interrupted. We decorate gingerbread cookies, cookies

And I mixed the corn syrup with vodka. It is also almost dry, only if you press hard with your finger, then the print will be. But since there are borders from icing, the feeling of dried gingerbread)) It dried out the same way with vodka, that without it, with or without dye. The layer was made thin, literally pulled apart a drop, so that there was no layer, only shine. I didn't try it, because I did everything on a three-year-old gingerbread accidentally found in the closet)))
MsBee
I got angry, I'll try again. When I did the last experiment, the gingerbread was without glaze and the glucose syrup was dry, or maybe some of it was absorbed ??? But I didn’t taste it, the children were ahead, they are sweet, but it’s not sticky to their teeth. And I am fully confident that everything was great. Now I doubt something, it is necessary to check on the glaze)))

MsBee, I had all the samples on glaze, the old gingerbread was decorated with icing)

I thought about something else. we smear it a little, but on the reference gingerbread, just such thick, volumetric fillings are transparent. if they are made using this technology, then they will not dry out in 2 hours, and in 12 hours too) they will still be liquid inside. So, how much dust will this sticky mass collect on itself ?!
