Hello everyone))) here is my first gingerbread house. Joint creativity with children for kindergarten. Of course, there are a lot of shoals, but I'm still happy with the firstborn. For one I tested IL icing from #cardamonclub. Of course, you need to get used to it. But he has an indisputable advantage, it is the speed of mixing and long storage. Fill with gloss, I have not really understood yet, but this is because I have filled in a little with it so far. Everything is ahead))). But I can't find the consistency for flowers, cones, etc. yet. Either liquid or vice versa. But this is a matter of time. But the house on this icing was assembled very easily. Everything dried up quickly, I didn't have to keep it for a long time. This is sooo super! So thanks!

I see! Very interesting birds.

Girls, save me! I don't know what to do at all! Isomalt will stick with terrible force! 😭 It will melt and almost flow ... I did it according to the master class of Zhenya Lokteva, it's not hot at home, gingerbread cookies with isomalt are stored in bags in a cool place, and all the same, that's such nonsense ... then? 😭😭😭
Christmas tree323
Maybe not cooked?

maybe someone knows how and with what they cover or fill such gingerbread
I don't know exactly about these gingerbread cookies, but most likely, judging by the examples on YouTube, this is either corn or glucose syrup. Another possible option is a gel that is decor.
Christmas tree323
poglazowa2011, at night I looked at MK on isomalt. He is afraid of low temperatures.

Christmas tree323, this?
Christmas tree323
Yes

I'm doing it now. But in 10 minutes I didn't even melt ...

I have it in 15 minutes. Melted.
poglazowa2011
Christmas tree, thanks! I watched the video. But my gingerbreads are not in the fridge ... I still think that since the gingerbread lies in an airtight bag, the isomalt from the gingerbread will draw moisture ... But you can't put a gingerbread without a bag - there will be a crouton ... Dilemma. ..
Christmas tree323
I had it like that with lollipops ... until the crackers turned out to be linden candy ...
poglazowa2011
Girls, I have another question: did anyone send gingerbread by mail or transport company to another city? I need to send a large batch to Moscow, so I'm thinking how ... Is this even real?
Christmas tree323
poglazowa2011, on the other hand ... I made gingerbread for the Christmas tree. That is, with ribbons so that they would hang on it. So they will dry out anyway ... They will also be covered with dust. Hanging them in bags is not aesthetically pleasing! Option one. I took it out of the bag and ate it. Or hung it up and ate at 12:15 or raw ... How else can anyone have experience?

And no one will answer about the shipment? You are welcome!...
MsBee
Maria, I did not send, but this is the experience of Victoria Olovyannaya from the group in contact.
I send the sets by mail as follows. If in gift boxes: I put the gingerbread cookies in a box on paper filler, cover it with another layer of paper filler on top, then under the lid and tie it with a ribbon. The gift box (or boxes) with the set must be placed in a cardboard box (if there are several, then tightly to each other) and covered with wrapping paper so that they do not dangle - so that there is no movement at all if you shake it. Seal the box with tape and in one more box - already the outer shipping box, for shipment. Also cover with wrapping paper on all sides. It will come to this even in the Far East, even if on the way to play football with it. So I ship all over the country. But this is if the set is small. And if it involves a lot of gingerbread, then I advise you not to send it in a gift box, but separately: a separate box, separately gingerbreads, individually packed in polypropylene bags and wrapped in VP-film. Also pack tightly, cover with VP-film and wrapping paper on all sides so that they do not dangle and rub against each other. True, then the recipient will have to participate a little: put the gingerbread cookies in the box himself and tie the box with a ribbon. In this case, I will send a small instruction to buyers along with the postal track.
If there are a lot of gingerbread by the piece, then I wrap each in a polypropylene bag in a strip of VP-film, cut to size, wrap it in a roll, I get a couple of layers of VP-film on each side, I put it in a box of VP-film, also 2-3 layers. I put the gingerbread cookies on it vertically in rows (not on top of each other, so that I do not press on the lower weights) quite tightly so that they do not dangle. If space remains, then I fill it in with wrapping paper. And on top, too, I cover the VP-film - they are like in a large cocoon from the VP-film.
I must say right away that such packaging is quite an expensive pleasure. For packaging, I charge the customer an additional amount, which I stipulate immediately when calculating the cost of the order. But in this case, I am also calm that the gingerbread will arrive safe and sound, and the buyer will not be disappointed when he receives the fragments.
poglazowa2011
MsBee, thanks !!!

Good evening everyone! Again, I asked the question: how to dilute Amerikolor dyes for painting on a white fill? Everywhere they write "vodka", but my dyes in vodka curl up into grains, and in alcohol too. I'm afraid of water - suddenly the filling will start to creep ... So what to dilute? Here in Temko I look - they draw whole pictures on the fill ...
honey cake
poglazowa2011, strange, I never went with grains.
Christmas tree323
When I just dilute vodka with water
MsBee
Dilute boldly with water, and when painting, blot the brush well on a napkin to remove excess moisture, and everything will be fine.

Means good dyes came across. And the old or even fake American color behaves just like that.
Maria, I had the same trouble, diluted it in water and added a little vodka / alcohol. Well, or purely in the water, no options.
poglazowa2011
Thank you girls!
Arlei
An urgent question . Has anyone used Glaze IL icing, sah. powder and icing additive from the same series. Should I take it? Sometimes it is necessary to urgently make a small amount of gingerbread. Therefore, it is convenient to keep the ready-made mixture in stock.
poglazowa2011
I didn't use IL-icing, but I bought Alter-icing from Lyubimova. I didn't really like it: firstly, it must be sieved, otherwise grains, everything gets clogged. Secondly, after three months the icing stopped drying normally, I mean the filling. The surface after drying was creepy stains, it was porous, a nightmare, in general ...There were still two months before the expiration date ... Then I guessed to add a little sugar when whipping the icing. powder and the problem is gone. Apparently the powder in this mixture somehow migrates and is distributed unevenly, it seems to me. Better on live or dry protein, I made this conclusion for myself. But maybe IL-icing is better, I don't know ...
poglazowa2011
Good evening! I want to ask - does anyone use a projector? Is it worth buying?
MsBee
Arleiuntil you try it yourself, you will not understand. Since there are many opinions and they are all contradictory, someone is delighted, someone does not at all. For me, the decisive factor is the price, with our prices for finished products, it is not at all profitable to buy such mixtures.

poglazowa2011, I use it and I am very, very satisfied. It makes transferring a drawing so easy that it's a delight!
poglazowa2011
Thank you! And what kind of projector do you have and in general with what parameters do you need for gingerbread? There is for 60 thousand rubles. and for 5.900 rubles. Is it worth taking a cheap one?
MsBee
poglazowa2011, I do not know anything about a projector for 60 and even 30 thousand, mine cost 2000 and I took it on Ali. It suits me 200%. But I'll make a reservation right away that I can't give a link, they haven't been available for a long time, and I haven't found an identical one with the same parameters. There are similar ones, but with slightly different characteristics, I can't say for him, but whoever has everything is fine.
When choosing, experienced ones recommend that there be a small focal length, optimally 0.2; The projection size is also not large and the higher the brightness, the better, at least 500 lumens.
In mine everything is not so, but nevertheless no problems))
poglazowa2011
Thank you! Can you tell us a little bit about how to work with him?
MsBee
It's easy to work, I upload pictures to a USB flash drive and transfer them through the projector to the gingerbread and to the flooded and to the "naked". Very convenient, you can use a pencil, you can immediately glaze. Fixed on a tripod, adjustments and adjustments are clear and convenient.
poglazowa2011
Thank you! I will buy!
Christmas tree323
Arlei, I am currently using. I like. Conveniently. Dries Depends on how to mix. Dries quickly with a mixer. Hands sooo long.
Vei
I have a projector, even 2))) one for an iPhone4 (I stuck it into it), I bought the second one for Ali a year ago, when I changed the phone. But in the end I never used it, because there was no special need. For the sake of one gingerbread, I'm too lazy to get it, and my series is usually quite simple, I personally don't need any projector there. In principle, it’s faster and easier for me to just draw by hand right away, since I’m drawing, I’ve finished the artist, and this is not a problem for me. Therefore, I can let the projector lie and collect dust. But he warms my soul, that for every fireman, I can do any project with him. But people do not want projects, they need cheaper, and therefore easier to execute ...
Tatanya
Hello girls! Please tell me why the icing on the gingerbread turns yellow? It contains only powder and live protein. A day or two white, and then begins to turn yellow around the perimeter like old photos
poglazowa2011
Maybe you have gingerbread in the light? I immediately put it in a dark place. Since Easter, gingerbreads are kept and the icing is white ...
Tatanya
They are in cardboard boxes, with a cardboard lid. I think maybe it's the gingerbread itself? The recipe contains butter. Can fat affect that? If you put the gingerbread on a paper napkin, greasy specks remain.
maha i
Girls, tell me please! How to make windows from caramel candies, in gingerbread? I know first to grind the lollipops and pour them into the middle, but how to bake cookies or gingerbread first, and then the lollipops, or pour them directly onto the raw? In short, how long is the caramel baked?
Loksa
Marina, on raw in a hole! I didn't like it with ground caramel. I like it more with a chipped piece. The ground caramel is too lush, and it is inconvenient to lay it and the window is thin from a slide of powder. Caramel takes up less volume than a pile of ground powder from it. It melts almost the same way.
poglazowa2011
Girls, guard! Tell me please! They ask to hold a master class on painting gingerbread for children and adults. That is, I have to come with my gingerbread and icing.Where to start, what pryamki to take, so that everything works out for everyone? And in general, what do you need to take with you, except for gingerbread? Explain a little ...
Margot
poglazowa2011, here is a girl on a third-party site advised))
1. Be sure to have its own bag for each bag (from simple bags it can be inconvenient, because they are torn, and if special triangular bags are expensive to buy, then you can get by with files, or zip-lock bags (they are cheaper with us, for example, than special pastry shops) ), and there is a small amount of glaze IMMEDIATELY (that is, do not apply to everyone on the spot, but bring it better prepackaged). Keep the bags airtight until drawing, cut the corners just before drawing. If the children do not draw all together, but in turn, then you can not make spare bags: some of them will be passed from hand to hand (it is only advisable to make sure that they do not lick the bags).

2. You don't need a lot of glaze for everyone, if you only draw patterns with a contour. A small bag for each. Plus spare bags and icing (you don't have to pack it right away, this is in case of force majeure - someone's bag will break, for example). You don't need a spare too much, there are three servings.

3. It will be difficult for one person with so many children and several types of activities (and cutting out cookies, and decorating with a contour, and filling (if you fill the Christmas trees)). If there are assistants, then no questions asked, and so - it is worth thinking about pouring, whether to do it or not (two icing colors, two different consistencies, this complicates both the preparation and the process itself). Children will surely be interested in it. But in principle, nothing is impossible). On MK with 20 children I had gingerbread drenched in (we did not bake anything, we only painted), two outline colors, we did not fill in, and that was very difficult for me. MK went off with a bang, everyone was happy, but I got tired).

4. It is advisable to give children not only the basics, but also samples - or ready-made gingerbread, or at least printouts. Some children have a stupor, what to draw, even if you show it in practice - it is easier for them to look at the samples and draw (although they still draw their own))).
poglazowa2011
Thank you so much! So detailed everything! But I seem to have both adults and children together .... How can this be combined?

And yet - should you give recipes for icing and gingerbread? Surely they will ask ... Print them in advance, or what ...
Tatanya
Girls, please rate with an experienced look. I myself know a big jamb that some have turned yellow at the edges, but I hope they will pass for vintage I have not found a definite answer why this is happening. I will experiment with the test.
