Jam without sugar

Category: Blanks

Ingredients

Berries
Apples

Cooking method

  • You can use fresh berries. Or frozen. But then they must be defrosted.
  • Peel and cut 5-6 pieces of sweet apples (if sour, then it's not a sin and a couple of spoons of sugar). Throw it all into the bread maker and turn on the Jam program.
  • It turns out not even jam, but a dessert that can easily be spread on whole grain bread simply, or on top of cottage cheese, for example ... I made the following options:
  • - apple and strawberry
  • - apple-strawberry-cherry
  • - apple-currant (slightly sour, but it is cool to use it as a side dish for fatty meat, such as duck)
  • - apple-blackberry-blueberry ...

Note

Since someone in my family must go on a diet, the demand for this type of jam is great. I found it at one time on one of the forums, tried it and now it's my everything!

In general, blueberries are great for sweetening. Only the color is so sad from her ... Jam without sugar

Yes! Despite the absence of a preservative (that is, sugar), jam can easily stand in the refrigerator for a week or two. But, to be honest, it doesn't stagnate for a long time: hungry and angry dieters attack ...

I also did this only without apples. From strawberries and blueberries (frozen, after defrosting) the color is really sad, but delicious ... I also added half a tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of sugar.

Yes, it turned out only a little - a jar of baby food

and what does it look like? something like mashed potatoes or what? Do you need to peel apples from the peel?
grandma Lyubka
it looks like jam, not like jam, I didn't get any pieces

Thanks for the idea. Yesterday I made apple jam using your technology. I took apples somewhere 700g. (peeled), sugar 4 tbsp. l. (it was possible not to put it at all, since the apples were very sweet) and 1 tsp. lemon juice (everything that I could squeeze out of the leftover lemon). During the preparation, there was a delicious aroma, even in the front one could be heard. And the yummy turned out to be such that words cannot describe it. In terms of quantity, ¾ half-liter cans came out. In general, two, it was enough to "try" and still have left (but I think not for long). The only drawback is that then for half an hour she gnawed the remnants of the jam from the bucket with her teeth. It adhered quite strongly, and because of the coating is nothing harder, the sponges cannot be rubbed. So I had to carefully scrape it off with a fingernail (I think men will have problems with this).

Have you tried pouring water and leaving it to soak?
Or did you need a bread maker urgently for further experiments?

In general, it probably makes sense to buy a second bucket, which is used exclusively for baking bread, and the old (pretty much used) - for jams, muffins and dough.
Dentist
The most interesting thing is that I just soaked the bucket and waited for 20 minutes, but it didn't help at all.
And at the expense of an additional bucket, this is of course a thought, but I can imagine HOW MUCH will be requested for it in the service center
Tan-yana
By the way, at the expense of one more bucket, a very good idea. Just tell me, please, where you can buy it (I have PANAS 253).

made this thing out of apples yesterday. it turned out more like not jam, but baby puree, but delicious

the bucket was almost clean - but this is probably because I did it completely without sugar ..

but tell me, is a stirrer needed for jam, or should it be removed? %) I did something with her, and then I began to doubt - it seems that she does not mix anything there ...

Necessarily needed, because during the preparation, the jam is constantly mixed.
And if in doubt, read the instructions for the stove (to be sure), it should be written there.

ok, let it be there - I just didn't notice that it was stirring ..
but the instructions don't say anything - or I didn't find it ..
cantara
By the way, I didn't find anything about the stirrer in the book either, but just in case I put it.
And I also have this question: the program "Jam" runs for 90 minutes, but this is frankly a lot for me, half an hour would be enough. Can I press STOP at the right time or is it better not to knock the program down?
Anastasia
The instructions for Panasonic-253 really do not say anything about the stirrer while making jam - she was tormented by this question and did not find an answer.

- First there is heating (simply, without stirring), then - the constant rotation of the knife (without it, everything will just burn). That is, you need to put the knife necessarilyotherwise, after "making the jam", there will be no other way out but to throw out the bucket with the contents, since it can only be cleaned with a non-stick coating.

- it is better, you should not turn off the ch / p - precisely for the reason that the cooking itself does not start immediately (unfortunately I do not remember how long it takes to heat).
Vladbel
In LG, heating takes 10 minutes, boiling for 60 minutes, in Panasonic-253, heating for 15 minutes, boiling for 75 minutes. Mnogova is in Panas, digests a bit. It is quite possible to press "Stop" at 60 minutes, whoever has a desire.

Sugar-free jam is my favorite, I don't like sugar. I always make apples as the main filler, and for them everything that the soul desires (more precisely, what is in the refrigerator) is eaten much faster than it can go bad

I cooked a lot of jam on LG. The 150 liter freezer was tightly packed with all available berries, and my wife and I realized that we had overdone the preparation. They began to give frozen berries, blue ones, carrots, greens, and so on to friends. Otherwise, it will disappear, spring is in full swing. So the jam is cooked around the clock simply. Even with such a crazy load, the coating did not even scratch on the buckets of stoves. So don't worry about buckets

And after the jam you need to wash it immediately after the bucket has cooled down - just pour hot water for about 30 minutes and everything will merge into the sink. You don't need to rub anything!

of course you need a mixer, it mixes (I myself heard)

and if you pour hot water into a bucket that is still warm, it will be even easier

Tell me, please, and cut the apples onion finely, coarsely, or maybe with a blender? If you use a blender, then you don't need to clean it, probably .. otherwise there are so many vitamins in the skin, especially apples from your garden. For the first time I will make jam
Vladbel
I clean, nevertheless, cut into 4 parts, cut out the serids, and then every quarter into several more parts. It's pretty fast. And you don't need to put it in a blender, it will fall apart when you stir it .. sometimes it is very tasty when a piece comes across in jam. If apples are sour, you need sugar!
Rezlina
Well, here, I thought, at least, here I can do without sugar, otherwise I began to recover from bread
I just put it on .. and the apples are sour. I'll go add a tiny spoonful of sugar ..
shelti
thanks for the idea to make sugar-free jam!
I have a lot of sweet apples from my friend's garden and I didn't know how to cook them better ...
I'll try tomorrow - I have a Clathronic .... and I have baked only bread in it and made dough ..... so jam will be a new gift for my family ..... I hope !!

Well, how can you not put a kneading knife? You always need to mix the jam, and during normal cooking. Moulinex 5002 interferes at the beginning of cooking for 5 minutes. But I always want to mix everything at the end, but there is no such cycle. I turn on the first 5 minutes of a new cycle.
Who knows how the heating process goes when making jam in Moulinex 5002? the instructions do not say this.
Korata
if you look in the instructions for the baking mode for cupcakes, it is written and drawn - Get the knife. And in all other cases this is not, that is, the knife must be in the bucket
Sofim
Thanks for the idea! added a little cinnamon to apples, I love this combination. It turned out in pieces, the taste of baked apples. And it's delicious without sugar!

You know, in my instructions it is written that there should be a heating stage, but in fact it was not. I have Moulinex 3000. The pieces did not fall apart. It was not jam, but the filling for the pie. Probably need a second one to run
Bastinda
Sorry, I didn't check what I wrote, it turned out to be a mess. Obviously you need to do two cycles in a row?

Tell me, please, what does the bread maker do in the process of work? I would like to understand the technological secret to make jam without a bread machine.
