Hmmm, it doesn't look like French. And the stove doesn't care whether it's day or night, it's cold or warm (inside the program, the time for equalizing the temperature of the ingredients just changes, that's all). Maybe raw flour or expired yeast?
natalka
I also wanted to ask the owners of Panasonic 255: are different knives for simple baking and rye bread is it fundamental? How does this affect the quality of the bread? Has anyone compared?
Serko
The same yeast and the same flour participated in the baking of other breads, and everything rose normally, to a full bowl.
I thought it was such a specificity of French bread, short and dense.
Secret...

Judging by the humidity in the apartments, yeast and flour can be dampened in a few hours, if not tightly closed.

Generally, the humidity is not high, 35%, less comfortable.
How does humidity affect germination?
After all, any recipe with a timer withstands flour and yeast in the immediate vicinity of water.
In this case, it is difficult to blame the timer, since ordinary bread with a timer has completely risen.

Hello everyone!
After reading on your forum, I just began to dream about a bread maker, my husband had already eaten a bald head. I dreamed about it before, but all my friends are convinced that, like, play enough for another month and throw it. But that is not the question. If you buy, then really Panasonic 255 or there are still options (Moulinex, Delonghi, etc.) I'm complete in this business .... in short, sucker
And you can still advise something. And yet - you all love to cook. I just know how to cook well, but sometimes this business weighs on me. Maybe I'll really play enough and quit. And the pleasure is not that cheap (buying a bread machine)

I don’t think you’ll play enough quickly and quit - we don’t buy bread from the moment of buying the stove, we eat only our own! besides, if you go on a visit, then personally baked bread is a huge success !!! and all the guests who come to you will envy you, this is really awesome!
personally, I can only recommend kenwood 256 and 350, since I am 200% confident in them. but in general, go over the Internet to read about the capabilities and technical characteristics, look at the appearance, dimensions .... in general, a good choice!

Rye bread is much denser, therefore the knife is a little larger and, as it were, with a rake, to knead better or something. Admin wrote that he loves rye dough so that they can shake it very well, and they try to do it, because the other knife will be smaller and it will be hard for him, but I don’t think it’s critical.
natalka
I asked about knives because no other (as I know) bread maker has different knives. Everywhere there is one standard and everything, even where there is a rye bread program.

Thanks to our government, thanks to its efforts bread regularly rises in price. A little more, and we will be like in the East (in some cities of Korea and Japan there are no bakeries at all, everyone bakes at home).

And knives ... Panasonic experimented with different shapes of mixers. And I decided (at our expense) to give 2 pieces to one hand.

Take a newbie!
I finally bought myself a bread maker !!!! Panasonic 255, in Electronic Paradise, for 4700 rubles!
Already baked my first (tiri) bread. The first, as you suggested, is French. But the second two - stagnant (I read the recipe from the forum) - This is something ..., the taste of bread as in childhood !!!
Everything worked out, although I was sooooo afraid, especially when I was baking the first bread.
But there are several questions.
- I used dock yeast. olken (kzhet so), but when the bread is baked, the smell is a little sharp-yeast. My husband doesn't like it very much, especially in the morning. Maybe someone adds something or just change the yeast.
- And yet, where does everyone buy the ingredients for baking (rye, buckwheat, etc. flour)?
Iren
Grunya, congratulations !!!
And I have to bring it today. I'm waiting, I've already called them back.
In general, it turned out to be such a problem to find a Panasonic SD 255 in Kiev!
I didn't find it in stores at all, but in Internet stores there are on the pages, and when you call them it turns out that there is no.
I called all the online stores and found only one, and it costs $ 20 more. But what can you do! I'd like to!

Flour is bought somewhere, I, a lazy person, in stores like Auchan and Ramstore City.

Delivery was, one of these days will appear in all stores the average cost of 750 gr.
And those of them are more expensive by $ 20 because no one else has
But the main thing is that you will have it
Iren
They brought me this miracle of technology !!!
Outwardly, I liked it very much!
I have already put on the oven a simple white bread, we must first get to know it.
I could not stand it and began to look, I had such a beautiful circle!
I am delighted, the stove does everything by itself !!!

I no longer notice this hole. And the hole turns out when you take out the bread, from the spatula. And it can be taken out well, it does not get stuck, you need to shake it a little sideways and that's it.

A cat - is there such flour in Ashan? And in which department? I go there periodically. And who will tell you what about rye flour. I don't know a thing or two about her. Maybe there is a firm.
Yesterday I baked milk bread from Panasonic. Everything worked out. I'm just sick of course. You don't do anything - just - and bread !!!!!
But my husband said that the store is tastier, or rather he does not like the shape of the bread and that it crumbles. Although I don't pay attention.he quits smoking with me, so the bore has become the same.
And I'm happy with everything. I'll make dumplings for dinner today. And I can't wait to buy rye flour.
Congratulations on your purchase of a bread maker !!!!! Delicious bread for everyone !!!!

And another question. In recipes from Panasonic in simple breads, specifically milk, there are two types of yeast. I put simple ones, drawing an analogy with other recipes (focusing on the amount of flour). Did I do the right thing and what kind of yeast it is. Everyone puts both those and those ???
Andreevna
Grunya, in Ashan (I visit Altufevka) on the previous Thursday there was peeled rye flour and coarsely ground corn flour, I have never seen buckwheat there.

In the recipe, not different yeasts are indicated, this means the amount of yeast required for quick bread (1 hour 55 min) and for baking for 4 hours. For quick bread, you need to take more yeast, that's all.
Grunya
And someone got a quick bread, otherwise the seller of the bread machine told me that it is better not to try, otherwise you will be overwhelmed.
He bakes bread the same.
I also gave this advice regarding rye bread. Try to add 2 tbsp to the recipe from Panasonic. spoons instead of kvass wort water. said it was something. The bread is simply excellent and more airy.
so I think if he prompted correctly? But while there is no rye flour, I will make wheat bread with a different recipe.
Andreevna
Quick bread always turns out, but to my taste, 4 hours is better for me personally. And what about the leaven wort - that's right, read the forum, we have already written about it.
Tanyusha
Take rye grunya "Nastyusha" peeled, otherwise I bought Sokolnicheskaya complete sludge, wet and lumps. And I buy buckwheat from the firm "KRUPNO" - these are cardboard boxes of 1 kg and the name of the firm is written on them in large letters. They have all kinds of flour, rice, millet, barley, etc., only there is no whole grain. And I buy it in a simple supermarket near the house.

And what else is written on these bags apart from "Large". I saw such boxes, but there was a quick-cooking porridge, not flour. If possible, insert a photo of this box.

With fast bread, I am tricky: I set the mode "fast" but "DIETARY" (this is 3 hours) and add a reactive sourdough from kifir, although in full mode the bread is still tastier
Tanyusha
I can't take a picture of the box right away, I throw it away, it says "LARGE" and then the name of the flour, let's say Buckwheat flour. I also saw them in Ramstore, 12 months and just in the grocery store. I have never seen buckwheat in other packages.
Grunya
Can you use dairy-free buckwheat porridge for baby food?
I used to bake pancakes. I couldn't find buckwheat flour anywhere and replaced it with baby food. It turned out very tasty. Maybe it will work with bread. Or not worth the risk ???
Tanyusha
Grunya, I think you can try "who does not risk that does not drink champagne", I think it will turn out well.

There are many Ashans. In Ashan-Maryino (at m Bratislavskaya) there is only peeled rye from Nastyusha of non-wheat. The department on the very border with vegetables, far from the cash registers
According to the recipe for "Rye-Zavarny", it turned out quite well, with the addition of panifarin.
And you still have to go to VDNKh to buy malt, to DomaKhleb.
Grunya
And how to find this "DomaKhleb" at VDNKh

And in ashash, I visit Mega, in Teply Stan. I’ll look for it, as I understand it, we must not look for flour, but somewhere else in general ... Eh ... so I want to bake my first rye bread ...
Andreevna
Rye flour should be sought exactly where the flour is. It can be found not only in supermarkets, but also in ordinary stores. I also saw her in the 7th continent, at the crossroads.
The House-Bread store is located in the Central Pavilion of the All-Russian Exhibition Center, №1. The entrance is on the other side of the building, so it's easier to find.

Where the flour is. It's just that the flour department in this Auchan is small, half a row on one side, and I didn't even find it again the first time. And when I searched for the first time, I generally thought that there was no such

In "domaKhleb" I was offered to take 2 improvers at once - panifarin and something on "A". The toad protested - these jars are 150 rubles each. The amphibian turned out to be right - with one panifarin it turned out fine.

Grunya, I personally used a rice dairy-free baby - it turns out great! I still used old baby food (there were two closed cans, it was a pity to throw them away) - a wonderful result! the main thing is that the products are not sour, not spoiled, and at the same time it is imperative to control the batch

I liked the very stagnant and milky from Panasonic (it doesn't crumble so much).

He bakes bread the same.

Recently, I only bake quick bread - ordinary white bread, with kefir, milk, egg, with dry kvass and even sweet cake. Better for my taste than 4 hours. So try it and then decide which mode you like best
Iren
Grunya, thanks!
I baked the first in the recipes, the simplest white bread.
It crumbles, but how soft and crusty ...
Mom cuts off the crust everywhere and eats.
And my friends do not believe that such a miracle exists.
Let's see how it works for you, and then we'll buy it for ourselves.

Tomorrow after school I'm going for rye flour!
Grunya
And yesterday I was making dough for dumplings and still could not resist ... and ... I baked rice bread (from the remains of boiled rice). It smelled amazing, but haven't tried it yet. I brought it to work, we will taste it over tea. But it looked very appetizing and my husband liked how it smells (there is no smell of yeast at all, although the yeast is still the same). The only thing but, it cracked, very tasty, but I even like it - it looks very appetizing. Although I think I just made the dough a little steep, adding flour during the first batch.

Another question arose. Can the stove be left plugged in at all times ???

:) It's just that it's not very convenient for me to turn it on / off all the time.

Hello users and members !!
For several years I used Panas 253, now I took the 255th, something is not working out everything, but I have 2 questions for you:
1- It does not work according to the recipe for the 255th model "thin dough" for pizza - sticky and wet. Has anyone done this recipe?

2- I bought SAF-LEVURE active yeast 100 gr. bag - neither 2-hour nor 4-hour or even 6-hour French rises, a dull brick turns out. yeast in ball granules, I took the same Polish (not SAF) - everything is cool. Can anyone tell me what here?
Sincerely.
Grunya
Of course, I'm not a pro in these matters, but all the same I'll put in my 5 kopecks.
I think it's all about yeast, maybe not fresh. Moreover, saf-levure seems to have to be diluted with water first, but I did not use them.
This is the first time I have a stove, I was very afraid, but it turns out ... mmm ... while ... everything I did. It's not about the oven. It works just amazingly, I was struck by the dough for dumplings - I kneaded such a dough - that it was a pleasure to roll out and everything stuck together well, not a single dumpling fell apart during cooking.
Try changing the yeast anyway. And you also measured the rest of the ingredients on the scales or what?

Recipes are "fast acting", not "active".
Here people even cook with compressed yeast and sourdough, but (as I understand it), there is no automation left - all the duration of standing and the amount of yeast are selected manually.

Andreevna
In the instructions to Panasonic it is said that yeast should be mixed with flour (in the 253 model also), and not with liquid, and Saf-Levure, at least that I came across, dissolves in water. Why do what is not supposed to. You can certainly experiment, as others do, but the point is. I think the developers did not write this for nothing.
Petrof
And something no one said, did you use the recipe for the "thin pizza" dough from the recipe for 255? I love thick dough (kefir, butter, flour, soda, salt), but my daughter demands "like in a restaurant", but it was a bummer. And also try the processed cheese friendship cut into thin slices directly on the pizza cake, everything else is as usual (tomato, filling, oregano and cheese on top) - well, very much, I'll tell you!
P. S. no scales - that's why it's stupid: 1ml = 1.6x1gr
P. PS Where can I find a recipe for bread with kefir? I have not tried it - I want to try it.
good luck to all
Grunya
And I read on the forum that a glass from 255 Panasonic "under the knife" is 201 gr. sifted flour. From this I start off. Bye ... mmm ... everything is ok!
