everybody has such beautiful houses !! just everything !! infected me !!!!!!!!!
Well, I kneaded all the dough yesterday. baked today, tomorrow I will decorate,: girl_hollyday: if no one bothers

DaNiSaAlena, and what recipe did you use to make the house? what test rate did you take? and what is the size of the house, with or without a gingerbread stand?
Vei, the dough from our forum, from Lenkor, only without cardamom, because I did not find it. houses are several sizes, the size of a fist and a little larger, I need to buy a lemon for icing, knead and try to do something. while I baked 3 houses and Christmas trees, with bunnies
and should the gingerbread be soft from the very beginning? from reading Temka I got the impression. that they are tough at first, and then they will soften, but now I looked, and they are so .... not solid, will the houses stand?ledi, I will try to quickly! your hands itch, but the little one must first be tamped down
Quote: Nansy

Alain, did you put soda in the dough? There, the recipe says that you should not put soda for the houses. I get these cookies as soon as you bake hard, but the longer they are, the softer they become. I think the house needs a little harder, I will also start making houses soon, I will try the dough without soda
Quote: Vei

But this is a dough for cookies, not gingerbread, I don't even know what is better for baking houses ...
I did not get that! isn't it the same
Veiyou drove me into a stupor
Quote: Vei

gingerbread is not a cookie at all. Cookies are fattier, looser and shortbread, in principle more fragile. And gingerbread ... they are different, but definitely not cookies!

girls, I compared a bunch of dough, in principle, it is not much different, it's just that I tried the gingerbread from this dough I liked. I put soda, because the main thing is to make cookies from this dough. but I decided to knead again and this time just for the house and not put soda, they are too soft, it seems to me, they probably will not hold
it's okay, my children will gobble it up anyway, and I'll bake it, but for me there will be experience

OlgaI don't mean that you just need to put creative energy somewhere in advance. there's silence with cakes, but I've been looking at the houses for a long time, licking my lips
the more they say that they stand for a long time, do you think they will stand by the New Year?

DaNiSa, I stood for 20 days, and then we began to gnaw it. I made dough from Gerda. Alena, you made dough without honey, did I understand correctly?
lediwhy no honey? even with honey! aaa looked at the recipe, I replaced corn syrup with honey, and everything else is strictly according to the recipe now I want to make the same dough, only with cocoa and without soda: girl-th: girls, I just read other recipes and they also put soda there for the house maybe they just do not indicate that it is not necessary for the house
so I put it down, well, in principle, the houses are small, they can withstand their own weight, I will definitely report

It is good to disguise, but the smell will give the place
Last year I did it at about that time, I survived until spring, but many attempted to kill ... and I was sorry to break it.
The candy windows melted, then crashed to the floor at night (the heat began)
Sima, about the disguise, that's yeah! but it's unlikely, my grazing is strict, they will have to give away 2 houses to tear apart and secretly still do, and I stuck marmalade in the windows, it turns out I don't like empty windows, the house looks abandoned, but I heard enough about the candies that they melt and did not do them
Quote: Mams

In order not to eat everything at once, there is one secret method .. We need to bake them so that they don’t fit in !!! ... Last year we baked two portions of half a kilo of honey each. I liked Gerda's recipe very much. And they made a house out of it, and small gingerbread cookies. From this amount of honey it turned out gingerbread ... um ... a 13 liter plastic bucket full, and a bunch of tin cans from under Danish cookies. We ate gingerbread until February 23

And yes, the further they lay, the softer they became. This year I asked, will we still bake? Mine in one voice - yeah!
Vooot and I mean the same !! baking powder is included in the recipe from Gerda! then all the same, soft cookies are obtained and the walls of the house too
Quote: Mams
And they made a house out of it
Or did you not use a ripper for the house?
Quote: Nansy

Girls, Liza, Alena, this is the dough we are talking about, it is certainly not gingerbread, but not entirely shortbread, it turns out not so loose, rather hard, I always bake it myself, for houses just right, I think. For the sake of simplicity, I myself always call these cookies gingerbread
Natalia, so I'm already confused, it's time to sleep, however! what kind of dough do you mean? from Gerda or from Lenkor? in general, I convinced myself tomorrow I will knead the dough from Gerda for comparison, the more he still needs to mature
Quote: ledi

Gerda's dough is very hard. Many who I baked do not like the hardness, but the taste is awesome. from the recipes that I used from Gerda the most delicious. Maybe it seems so because you have to chew it for a long time and you feel the taste
Quote: Nansy

Alyona, I'm talking about the Lenkor dough. I have this very favorite recipe for gingerbread cookies :)
Quote: Vei

I've read so much about Gerdino's dough, everyone says that over time, the gingerbread cookies become soft, and even houses can break from this. They are never soft for me, and maybe I didn’t become so, but they lay with me for several months, and without apples they don’t even think to crumple.
It is the gingerbread that I bake according to a different recipe, but there the dough rises strongly during baking and becomes round, it is not convenient for houses, but the house will still remain strong.
DaNiSa
in general, the girls report kneading the dough from Gerda, let it lie down for a couple of days, then bake it, only again without cardamom, such a seasoning is simply elusive, no one has heard anything about it, it does not appear in stores, so without it, and everything else is strictly according to recipes ...
and I also read about ginger dough, that its hardness often depends on honey, everyone has different honey, so the dough turns out in different ways. and someone weighed the finished dough, how much is it? I just weighed it turned out exactly 2600 g, I'm afraid to even imagine how many cookies will turn out from so many
Quote: Nansy

I make dough from Lenkor with corn syrup, maybe I have cookies are quite hard from him? It seems to me that with honey it should be softer
Natasha, the dough from Lenkor on honey is very soft, he even has to stand, I confirm it
Quote: Nansy

Alyona, well, then for the houses you need to do not with honey, but with syrup
Quote: ZeZe

Girls, I also made this dough 3 times already ... and I make it on corn syrup, well, strictly according to the recipe ... even with soda, they are always solid, well, not very oak, but they keep their shape perfectly, I do I think that it would even be possible to put together a house ... now they become softer after a long stay in the refrigerator ... it turns out that 2 cookies from the last order were lying in the refrigerator ... I tried it yesterday ... expecting to leave my teeth on them, but to my surprise - the cookies are soft, tasty ... they have not lost either taste or aroma ... I just ate it with pleasure ... Alena, it's strange that you get soft ...maybe because of the honey ?! and what thickness did you roll out? maybe thickly? or vice versa too thin ?! I rolled the pechenyuhi 3-4 mm, then they rose a little and turned out to be excellent !!!
Lyaila, rolled less than 5 mm, that's for sure, they rose well, maybe I didn't "fry" them very much? maybe you need to keep it in the oven longer?
Quote: Nansy

I’m not very strong, we have no syrup in the afternoon with fire
and the houses are already standing: two-ok: I'm frying, try it all the same not on honey, but on syrup
Quote: Nansy

Oh, another question. If the roof is filled with icing, is it to decorate it on a flat surface, then just assemble it? After all, it will drain off the slope. And all sorts of squiggles already on the assembled house to draw? After reading it, I decided that it is most reliable to glue on icing?))
Quote: Vei

Girls, I remind you that first, all the panels of the house need to be painted (fill, drawing, etc.) and only after complete drying, collect, glue and decorate with icicles.
You do not need to first assemble the house, and then suffer with the decoration, if only you plan to paint it with icing at all. If you decorate with lollipops and waffles, and not with aying, then collect and glue sweets on it.
Vei, Lisa, you probably missed my question)) have you posted your gingerbread recipe yet? Do you only bake gingerbread using it or houses too?))

for houses it is puffy, but you can simply halve the soda, then it will not rise so much.
VictoriaCam
Girls, and about how much you need to keep the parts so that the icing glues them together? I had nothing to do with him. I met that they use toothpicks to help with the "glue". But if the dough is hard, the toothpick won't fit, will it? And if the dough is so soft that a toothpick enters it, will the house break? And such a question. Leave the glued walls to dry around 24 hours, then just glue the roof?
Quote: try

They are also fastened with sewing pins. With a bead which. I watched the video, so everything is immediately captured in it. And the roof too. Everything is shown very clearly.

Quote: Dutya

VictoriaCam, I saw how they were fastened with needles by tailors with multi-colored balls on the tips. And I won't tell you how much to keep, I haven't done it yet.
Quote: DaNiSa

I didn't do that !! when you glue the house together, it is already firmly standing, I literally held the walls for half a minute with my fingers and installed everything on a stand, which I filled with icing literally 10 minutes before I began to glue the house. the house sank beautifully in icing, this can be seen on the house with blue snow. the rest of the houses waited a day before installing them on the stand. but it seemed to me to wait so long. I even liked it better when you put it on a non-dried icing right away.
now what about the roof. after 10 minutes, after gluing the walls, I have already installed the roof. and then these 10 minutes I just tried on how convenient it is to make it symmetrical
and binding with needles - maybe this is when complex houses are made? well, there are balconies and stuff ..
DaNiSa, Alain, that is, you only used icing for fastening?)))
Quote: Vei

I'm not Alena, but I will answer)))
I glue the house only for icing, for the first few minutes propping up the walls with a cup or something heavy that can withstand the weight of the house. I also like the idea of pins, but it is not always permissible for me, so I have all the panels with a fill, in which you cannot stick a pin!
Quote: DaNiSa

yes, only by icing, it keeps perfectly fine

And I fastened the house that year with melted chocolate icing (which is like coins). Three minutes - and the walls can not be held, it grasps. Then I stood a little while trying on the roof and it is already possible to install it. True, the glaze was brown. Then I decorated the seams outside with icing and stuck the figurines of Christmas trees and other things in the corners so that the chocolate was not visible.

In general, how much dough does Lenkor need for one BIG house? There is no one to give the remains. And on the 20th we are already leaving, we will not be able to take with us. My husband and I are on a diet, and we won't be able to eat this for a long time)

Musenovna, I repeat once again that the most correct recipe for Royal icing , and therefore the most convenient, since it has been tested for centuries -
90g raw protein
455 (maximum 500g) powdered sugar, very finely ground and sifted at least through a very fine sieve, and preferably through organza
5-7 (!) Drops of lemon juice

if you do not need a lot of icing, then make half a serving, or a third, but observe the proportions, based on the classic recipe!

pour the proteins into a bowl, pour the powder on top and beat with a mixer at first at low speed (so that the powder does not stand in a pillar) until it combines with the protein, and then at medium speed until smooth and peaks slightly harder than soft ones. That is, when pulling the rim out of the bowl, our mass should only slightly lower the head at the end, and not bend completely. Add lemon juice at the end of the batch.
After that, cover the bowl with a terry (thick) towel dipped in cold (!) Water and let it rest for about 10 minutes. After that, fill the cornets and draw. Before each subsequent filling of the cornet, stir the remaining mass in the bowl vigorously until smooth.
For the fills, draw the outline with our basic icing, after the outline has dried, fill it with fill icing.

To prepare the pouring icing, we take our basic icing, transfer it to another bowl and dilute it with cold (!) Water (not lemon juice) to such a consistency, when, after holding a sharp knife through our diluted icing, the trace from it will completely disappear and dissolve until we count to 10 at a calm pace, like in seconds. It's called 10-second icing. The disappearance of the trail must be looked at carefully from different lighting angles. If the icing is thick, then you will not get a smooth and even surface, if it is liquid, then it will flow beyond the contours and there will be dips, and not a smooth surface. It is better to dry the fill for at least the first 3 hours under incandescent lamps. That is, put on the table and the table lamp on top, you do not need to lower it very low. If there is no lamp, then it does not matter, it will dry out and so, only longer and there will not be such a pronounced mother-of-pearl shine.
You can store icing in an airtight container wrapped in a damp towel and bag for up to a week. The less air there is between the icing and the container lid, the better the icing will remain. Before re-use, "stale" icing should be whipped with a mixer with a small 1-2-3 tablespoons of powder, since it liquefies in storage.
And one more small clarification. It is best to squeeze out icing from very small (so that the hand does not get tired) cornetics made of wax / baking paper, insert the nozzle inside. How to make a paper cornet look on YouTube. If there is no nozzle, then with a microspik cut we cut off the corner of the cornet. For large jobs, such as icicles, where curly star attachments are required, disposable piping bags can be used. If there are no stars, but you really want to, then we make a double cornet and make a V-shaped incision, and then another one perpendicular to the first. I hope you understand))
If you put a lot of icing in a cornet at once, the hand will quickly get tired, movements will become uncertain, icing from the heat of the hand will begin to lose structure. Therefore, just a little bit.

Good luck to everyone and try the right recipes right away for the best results. Check out the topic Decorating gingerbread and cookies. There is a lot of useful information, but as far as information about icing is concerned, look for the Eddie Spence recipe in the title!
Quote: Nansy

Girls, I agree with every word of Lisa Vei. It doesn't matter who and what was there last year from what. Many newcomers come here, read about all these experiments with incomprehensible icing recipes and think that they can then try to do according to these recipes. There is a great proven recipe that never fails, why do you need these experiments? Try to make the right icing at least once and you yourself will understand the difference!

Vei And you can tint the jellied icing with natural juice, for example, cherries. Or will it be very faded? I have never used dyes due to skin problems in eaters. I look at the girls, I admire. It is beautiful to paint with color aspic. You, too, have painted hearts. Over red and white, classic.
Quote: vorobyshek

I am also very interested in this question. Is it possible to use natural dyes and how to add them correctly ?!
Quote: Vei

I have never tried natural dyes. I know that you can use beet juice and turmeric, but I have no such experience. It is difficult to paint icing in a saturated color, especially with natural juice (((
Quote: vorobyshek

I found about natural dyes: 🔗 It's just not clear whether it is possible to tint the icing with the help of them, will it spread?
_Milana_
Vei, a in Royal Ice after being whipped and added with lemon juice, you feel powdered sugar? There is a lot of it in the recipe. Or will the icing become smooth without grains after soaking?
Quote: Vei

grains should not be there either before or after. And there really should not be any resting, this dough needs to mature, and the icing just rest and stand for 10 minutes.
It should be smooth, and if there are grains, then either the powder is large and has not been sifted, or the icing has not yet been adjusted.
Oh, I put it wrong. I meant after the rest.
But stale icing also needs to be whipped to a state where
Quote: Vei

when pulling the whisk out of the bowl, our mass should only slightly lower the head at the end, and not bend completely.
What is it like?
Quote: Vei

_Milana_, yes, that's right, because this is the working consistency and icing state. After the refrigerator, it is divided into water and sugar, whipping it with an additional amount of powder, you will bring it back to normal. You just need to do this without fanaticism, so that the icing is not interrupted. In general, it is best to use the lowest mixer speeds and mix initially and then revive.
and do not forget on the first day, thoroughly mix each new portion for the cornet until smooth.

Gingerbread house (how to assemble and decorate)

DaNiSa
in general, girls! I am reporting as I promised today I baked cookies and parts of a house with dough from Gerda. what can I say? the taste is not even bad, even better than from Lencor, maybe because there are not so many seasonings there. and I really liked the consistency of the dough, it rolls out easily, is easily transferred to a baking sheet, does not break. The eldest child immediately saw through that with cocoa, dragged the raw dough, he liked it, but he didn't check out the finished one, because it was too hard ...
1 baking sheet really fried a lot, because the phone rang at the wrong time. VERY DISAPPOINTING! what do you think about the release?
everything is very rock-solid as a recipe should be. I immediately put a couple of cookies in a container with a cut apple to check how long they will soften. how was it in this regard?
Quote: VictoriaKam

DaNiSa, Alena, it will become softer in a few hours. After baking, I compare it with sugar cookies for myself - it crunches the same way)) I bite with my back teeth, while it was not difficult for me to chew. I have a kind of napkin, maybe a couple of weeks already, they have become softer. Delicious)) And lysines are also stored - they become drier, but do not harden and are more aromatic than steel. I would not throw out the fried ones, I would also put them to the apple or eat it like that)) of course., If they did not burn specifically)))
yes, it seems not very strong. just fried around the edges, and now I'm thinking of decorating them or not to transfer the glaze to them? Okay, I will not decorate them, then someone will get the thread and the person will remember it for life. that gingerbread cookies are bitter
Quote: VictoriaKam

DaNiSa, and the taste is bitter? I would break off and eat
Victoria, bitter, for comparison, ate a normal cookie, the difference is capital! no I will not smear. so let them lie. all night lay a couple of cookies near the apple, perfectly softened.
now next in line are Vei gingerbread. I really want to try to cook them
but first you need to paint the enti, it's a pity that burnt baking sheet ... there were very interesting shapes, I cut them out by hand, I don't have big molds

Girls, what to do? Help out. Sister came and baked together houses and gingerbread from the remains. Dough according to Gerda's recipe. I was worried that it was oak, but it stuck to the rolling pin when it got hot. In short, baked, I say, bake, you won't bite. The roof will collapse if it is not heated. And now I watch some with dark spots. Yes, and an hour later she cut out the doorway, safely forgotten. It was cut softly in the center, and barely pressed through at the edge. I think some are not baked Maybe put it back in the oven before it's too late? Baked today at 19:00
Here is the house and the bell in the middle of the dark

Hello everyone in the new season! You meet my corporate house, or rather, according to the scenario, this is the depot, from which the branded train leaves))
The dough recipe from Gerda, the dimensions of the house are 20x25 cm, the height is about 20 cm, the size of the gingerbread stand is about 36-40 cm.
The electric locomotive and the train are made of gingerbread cookies with marmalade, decorated with icing.

Special thanks to Luda Huska for allowing her to bake the stand; it would not fit on my baking sheet.

Quote: Ipatiya

Vei, shocked! The beauty is incredible !!!
Well, those who took him, of course, yes, but the reaction of the leadership is still unknown to me. The biggest plug was with the electric locomotive, which was supposed to be gingerbread, not mastic, grayish, but cheerful and similar to a real electric locomotive, not stylized and so that it did not look like a bus. In general, all the time and energy was spent fighting this gray beast. But the house turned out easily and with pleasure.
There are still a lot of houses ahead, only the time is catastrophically short, because everyone remembers the gifts at the last moment. But I will still have where to roam, though, again, there should be corporate symbols, but I think we will all get married and make friends))

Vei, well, look how wonderful it turned out! The house is unreal, but it did an excellent job as a train! Did you hide your gingerbreads under the mastic? Was it normally cut out of them?
Girls, thank you all for your kind words. Yesterday I was not at all in myself, since this house was ordered in two days, I made it for 2 nights, and during the day there were other things, in general, I somehow got tired.
Quote: Natkamor
Lizochka, and with what nozzle and how did you make a tile on the roof?
The PME nozzle # 3 made such twisted bagels. Everything else is mainly with nozzle # 1.5 and partially # 2.

Quote: Daria
So the roof is painted with red icing and there is a drawing on it, right?
Almost))) I still had quite a bit of red liquidish pouring icing from other gingerbread cookies, I applied it directly to the roof with a wide brush to just tint it red. I knew that red would be little visible, and I don't like the taste of the fill. And here the color appeared, and without a thick fill layer.
Quote: NataST
Did you hide your gingerbreads under the mastic? Was it normally cut out of them?
The customers did not like the ideas with a mastic or waffle locomotive, they had to bake and glue it out of gingerbread, there are 3 layers of gingerbread with a layer of marmalade. And I fought over the form for a very long time, grinded each element on a grater before gluing them together. But the difficulty was, first of all, that it didn’t work out in my head how to make it, and there was no final picture. Then, at the last moment, she did everything.
Quote: Merri

Lizonka, you have become a real master in a year! And I baked the blanks and I don't know how to approach them (((
First, check that they fit well to each other at the joints, if necessary, go over them with a grater / file.
After that, you need to decorate each panel separately with glaze, let it dry well and assemble the house. It is best to glue on a fairly thick icing, propping up the walls with cans / boxes / hands of assistants))) If the recipe and technology for preparing icing are correct (according to Eddie Spence), then everything will hold stronger than cement.
But it is imperative to insure the walls until they dry.
We install the roof last. After that, we close the joints of the house with decorative icing seams, you can use sweets, etc., and make icicles on the roof with a round nozzle.
Quote: Husky

Vei, Liza!! I admire !! Especially after I know that you had nothing at all! How did you manage !!
An excellent composition turned out.
Lisa, I have to you question... As a gingerbread specialist.
Quote: DaNiSa

could you measure the diameter of the hole? Oh please!! otherwise you won't understand anything from these numbers,
I just have the smallest nozzle of 2 mm and it is very thick, right?
but it always seemed to me that the nozzle No. is the size of the hole ...
Quote: ledi

Vei, Liza! I liked the house very much! Especially the colored roof! The red color gave it some liveliness !!!! I can't find the words, I'm sorry. Generally class! Can you pull off an idea? I don't want to make the houses pure white this year. How much test did it take for the whole track?
Quote: DaNiSa
could you measure the diameter of the hole?
now there is no possibility, but I will definitely measure it.
Quote: ledi
Can you pull off an idea?
of course you can! Moreover, it even surprises me6 that girls ask them about cakes as well. I believe6 that if a work is published on the network, especially on the forum, then it is with the aim of showing-inspiring-helping, and not just to amuse your pride. I will be very glad if it helps someone, and even more so to you, Vera !!!

Quote: ledi
How much test did it take for the whole track?
It's very difficult for me to answer this question, I have a lot of dough mixed in, but mentally I figure out 2 houses with one portion of Gerdin's dough. Sometimes it is not enough, sometimes it remains.
Quote: ledi

with a base for a house? I baked so many of them that year, but I didn't write anything down anywhere. Now I remember and cannot remember. I remember that it would be cheaper, I replaced the stand with a waffle cake.
I cannot make a non-gingerbread stand, my prices do not allow doing so. We have everything - the highest class, champion category)))

tania T, such beautiful houses, why do you say that they are sad? only small photos to make out everything is difficult.

Glad the glaze came in handy

Lizonka, Daryushka, thank you!
1. Size of houses: side 13.5 * 8
butt end 8.5 * 13.5
roof 14.5 * 8
2. baked according to Gerda's recipe for 500g. honey.
3. 4 houses and 28 toys came out, sizes from 7 * 7 (lambs) to 9.5 ** 9.5 boots
4.rolled 0.5-0.6mm
5.fastened with icing and fixed with needles

Icicles flew on the side of one house, I wanted to consult with you, whether to do or not at all. I already understood the answer, I will finish it.
And the houses are sad because I came from vacation (it was 3 weeks) and only one order for a cake (I lost all clients !!! and just made houses for friends as a gift.

Hello everybody! HAVING SEASONED your beautiful houses, I just fired up the desire to create something similar this year. The first house failed. The details were very thick and I did not dry it out (I was in a hurry to see what it would be like for me) I started to fix the roof, as a result, it fell apart. The son said "don't be upset, you have a nice house, just blown up. We will eat it anyway." The son is five years old. The sadness disappeared somewhere after this phrase and a second wind opened. Here is my long-awaited gingerbread house.

Very nice house. Quote: DaNiSa

Margot21, see how to do icing correctly! it will be very lush, believe me click here Gingerbread house (how to assemble and decorate)
Oh, thanks !!!) Such a detailed explanation. I'm going to whip and taste. Otherwise, I couldn't draw thin lines in any way (I beat up 30g of protein with 150g of sifted powder, let it stand under a wet towel. It seems that the line was kept between my fingers, but let's draw - the hand is shaking with effort, but the line is thin and does not lie like I want to. In general, I still need a lot of practice. I spread it a little with water. I draw. But I understand that it’s not right. I start to press, and the tail is wrapped.
Quote: Mom Tanya

Out of the bag? Without a nozzle? And it will wrap up !!!
Quote: DaNiSa

it may be from habit, if the hand is already shaking, or from the fact that you are holding the bag incorrectly in your hand or from the fact that you put too much icing into the bag at once, you need a little bit, and it may also be because the icing is broken ... but there is an opportunity to take a picture of it and show it to us, by joint efforts we will figure it out
Made of silicone bag, with attachment.
Quote: Vei

it is very difficult to squeeze out of a silicone bag, we do not have a cream. Therefore, you need to take such a container so that the mass moves very easily under your fingers - a cornet made of waxed paper (baking paper), in extreme cases, a disposable bag with a nozzle. BUT it is imperative to fill the cornet / bag with no more than 1.5 tablespoons of glaze, otherwise it is difficult to press and the hand gets tired very quickly.

How to make gingerbread even after baking
Girls, I’m looking at your houses, they are flat, but I’m like in the snow, a curved surface, how to make it even?
Quote: Vei

firstly, what recipe was used for baking?
secondly, how did you roll it out and on what did you bake it?
third, The newly baked panels of the house must be taken out of the oven, immediately turned over onto a flat surface face down, and press down on top with another flat surface while the gingerbread is still hot, while not just putting the board down, but pressing down. For this I use a wooden board, sometimes a baking sheet on which I baked, in general, whatever is at hand. True, now I rarely have gingerbreads bubbling, I’ve already lost it)))))
Vei, Recipe from Gerda
She rolled it out on the table, transferred it to paper, cut it out on it, and baked it on it.
Well, I didn't know the rest. I just put it on the table and cooled down. If you press down with oppression, then the ends will not be wrapped, right?
Now I know, BIG thanks !!!!
And one recipe or what another do you need?

Quote: Nansy

prascovia, I would do this: first assemble the tallest house. The smallest one can be made without a back wall, collect 3 walls and immediately lean against the high one. The middle one can also be made without a back wall, lean (glue) to the side wall of a high one. In order not to miss the dimensions and there was room for maneuvers when installing roofs, I would make the tallest house a couple of cm wider than the lowest house and also the side walls of the high one a couple of cm wider than the width of the average one. Now I'm throwing it schematically

Mona1, Tanya, what a cool house !!! A very cool idea with flowers that can be taken out! How did you make the roof? Well, just tiled!
Yes, Natasha, it was an idea with a tiled roof. In one video, I saw how to do it. It is necessary to roll out the dough thinly, literally 1 mm, and roll it out, sprinkling with flour, then when baking the dough will be swollen, this is what I needed the effect for the tiles. While for the walls, for example, the dough and the table, it is advisable not to add flour, I roll it out on a silicone mat with a silicone rolling pin. After rolling out the dough for the tiles with a toothed wheel for cutting mastic, I walked through it, made rectangles. It bakes sooo quickly, because it is thin, one batch was slightly tanned, but it even turned out cool, I mixed light with darker ones. I glued the tiles onto the droplets of melted chocolate glaze, starting from the bottom of the roof up.
Quote: Nansy

Tanya, so I just did not understand how you glued them, is there still a layer of gingerbread below, or are the tiles just holding each other?
No, not one for the other. Below is the main roof.
Quote: Nansy

Oh, got it, thanks!
Then she glued the upper rows onto the lower ones with an overlap. (And the side does not overlap, there is a butt-end, sometimes the cracks are bigger, smaller, because the tiles are not all the same. especially for those who are just starting to make houses

For the windows, I donated one pastry disposable bag made of very dense polyethylene. I cut out the "glass" by 0.5 cm larger than the openings of windows and doors and pasted it on the glaze. Then I passed the glaze on top so that there were no joints, and I made stripes on the glass with icing. So the glass and the flashlight are inedible. )))
Quote: ledi

Mona1, Tanya, fantastic! So many things have been invented! Flashlight in the chimney, windows closed with gingerbread: yahoo: Did you come up with or spied on an idea somewhere? Eh, it's a pity the curtains are not edible: girl_haha: If we use a spoon for honey, we need to gobble up everything and the curtains too

Mona1, Tanya, no words! Such splendor, golden hands!

and today I finally gave an order for 20 houses, which I received 2 weeks ago, but in fact I could only make it this week mixed with gingerbread.
Honestly, I thought I couldn't do it, but I did it. True, there are very few photos, there is no energy left for the photo shoot at all. There are only 5 houses here, which I baked last night and assembled and decorated during the night. It was a corporate order and the houses had to be with the company logo, which eventually had to be printed on sugar paper, but the logo itself is not so elegant, it was difficult to make friends with the house in principle. Therefore, on the other slope of the roof, I decided to stick a plate made of sugar paper with the inscription "Happy New Year!" To balance this geometry with the logo.

Vei, Liza, you have great work, just wonderful!
it just happens that you look at something and understand that: but I can, I can! I take and do, and it turns out, not an ideal picture, of course, in my head it seems a little different, but also good!
Last year I did not skillfully embroider a picture.in this I planned to add a mosaic on long winter evenings, but no - the gingerbreads changed all plans)))))))) but I also liked it, very addictive. fortunately, I do not eat them, but only draw, and the family eats them with pleasure)))))
Quote: ledi

Vei, Liza, you are a hard worker! How did you cope with such a volume ?! And the houses are so cool! Liked the fact that there are no windows and doors. no need to cut wasting time on it. And the walls are less deformed. And painted so that everything is present!

I'm looking at the masterpieces of girls who make houses and gingerbread for the first time, I'm surprised and think that if I had done just as well the first time a year ago, then perhaps I would not have moved on, and I would not have now favorite business, new skills and abilities, and much more ...
Happy New Year, everyone! May he be better than this!
Nansy, Thank you !

Tatyana, you have not a gingerbread house, but a modern residential cottage with supplies for the winter!
Liza, a hard worker! You rivet them like seeds with a mind blowing speed!
Veronica, I thought like Lisa: "If this is the first time ..."
Happy New Year to everybody!!!
Quote: ledi

diveroniAnd did you embroidery for the first time? : swoon: A very fabulous house!
at first
there are gingerbread cakes, I painted a few gingerbread cookies, then the roof of the house, then again gingerbread ...
thank you!
my husband's brother came, sat, at first he lost his speech, and then said that it was urgent to send to the exhibition, that we had something similar on New Year's theme going on in the museum right now)))))
but the house decorates our holidays, I am so warm from it, so fabulously cozy in winter.

Happy New Year, dear girls !! happiness and health to you all this year!
ledi
Girls, dear, I really missed you and the forum. Happy New Year to you and your families! Health, peace, love and may everything conceived on New Year's Eve come true! I didn’t have the Internet, just turned it on yesterday.
I'll show you my house. I don't have a lot this year, only two. I used to show one blue, and the second red.

Quote: Mona1

Vera, not a house, but just a wonderful miracle! I really liked the bear. Either inside the house looks out the window, or it is outside, but the effect is as if it were inside. And the box with gifts is great! And the embroidery is good, I have not tried to embroider yet. Maybe I'll just try today.
Everything turned out very fabulous for you!
Girls, all a Happy New Year and the approaching Christmas!

Girls, thanks for the compliments. Although the house turned out to be unlike the cake.

Vera, I immediately recognized the sheep in the window, but the goat is simply hard to see in the photo. In any case, the idea is great!

Milaslava, such a mysterious house! Is it all marshmallows?
Merri, yes it's marshmallow. They need to work very quickly, as we crush the shape before our eyes, still warm so far.So she decorated the house at the speed of light))
I wanted to make a house with snow, without any patterns, etc.) Marshmallow is very airy. Over time, it dries up and becomes something like a meringue.
Quote: diveroni

marshmallow house - miracle-miraculous :-)!
and I somehow did not make friends with marshmallows. I tried to do it a couple of times, it’s not like that. edible, but not that purchased ...
Quote: DaNiSa

Milaslava, a beautiful snow house! and how to decorate it with marshmallows? or rather, how to prepare it for decoration? just melt?
DaNiSa, no, I made marshmallows according to the recipe of Chadeyka Irina, look in the internet, her recipe is available! Very tasty)

Milaslava ledi Girls, what wonderful houses you have. I was also going to bake myself as a gift. But grief happened and I called my sister to help and at the same time distracted her. She never really liked to cook with me, but agreed to help. Here are our houses. The little sister worked with a brush and was very pleased

And this is my miracle. How my daughter was having fun that I had no door between the rooms, and there was a hole under the ceiling (I confused the detail with a gingerbread). And the flashlight will not go all the way through the door, it was necessary to cut the opening more.

Larissa, nice houses, but I like the little sister. I understand that this is the one that is closer to us in the first photo. Here is a very artistically snow-covered roof turned out and all of it is such a straight natural winter snow-covered house. Praise your sister, tell her - people like it. Well, of course, your house is also good. I do not know what is mixed up there, but everything seems to be in place. Both the door and the window.

Ilona, the houses are very beautiful, I especially liked the two-room one))) This is unusual and probably very difficult to assemble, it turned out very, very cool.
It is worth while ... since I put all this on the Internet late, then there were no orders for the house. So my youngest became the happy owner, as you say, of a 2-room house. There is a house on his shelf in a transparent box! Tomorrow his friends will come to him on the DR, so I'm thinking of feeding something? They will have fun. But here's the question ... The house is solid, so you need to spread the apples around, but ... but then the children will come, and the house will not be beautiful anymore, or maybe it will completely collapse? How to be? Baby teeth, what would have broken, too, not good! ahhh ....
Quote: aelita1702

Ilona, The houses are gorgeous !!! I especially liked the first house, it looks very cool !!! And on the second I wanted to see the painting on the roof. I envy those who can draw)))
Quote: sugar

Ilona, but don't touch the house yet, let the guys please the eye, and when they get home, disassemble it all together and give each of them a piece (although it's a pity to disassemble such beauty of course), let them put aside at home with an apple for the night - there will be a present for tea and memories with DR are pleasant)))
I plan to give them a gingerbread with me, which they will make themselves. I'll arrange a children's MK! I don’t know what to do with 9-year-old cubs at the holiday in the apartment! ))
Quote: ok

two-room house - super! I especially liked the pipe, sooooo brutal)))
Do not break your children with you, they are already destructive over the edge, and you will not get the same structurally pieces.
you are right, better - the creation of your own hands, and they will be pretty busy.
strength and optimism when noting)))
Merry Christmas!
Don't ... We won't break, we are not destroyers !!! However, how would you eat it then? Otherwise, it will remain standing for years, but you will want to build something new :)))) This house is not my idea. If I'm not mistaken, I stole the drawings from Gerda. But maybe I’m mistaken, because it was that year, it was just that I was not honored that year!

Ilona, what cool houses! Especially two-room! The beauty!

Merry Christmas !

For beginners from beginner. I have done a lot of icing experiments over the past week. 1) If you knead at high speeds and for a long time (10 minutes), then the icing is strongly picked up by air. At first, the icing is very dense, but after rest it seems to be deflated. It still needs to be kneaded well. 2) If you knead by hand - icing of a pleasant structure, but the hand falls off. 3) Kneaded in a Bosch Combine. speed No. 3, whisk for cream, 15 min. The structure is perfect! Creamy, silk! The thread is even, uniform, easy to stretch. And finally, I figured out the icing balls: it turns out that basic icing needs to be diluted with water. Dense icing will never make a perfect ball without a tail! Julia M Hasher's master class turned out to be very useful:

Karry79, your house is so beautifully photographed! and a tree and a toy over it, and immediately the picture began to play, I really liked the windows, beautifully designed!
Quote: Mona1

Yes, I like the house too Karry79... Tell me, your window consists of several cut-out squares. And I seem to see that these segments were cut out after baking, until it cooled down. And what did you cut out? I, too, wanted to muddle up such windows in my house, but it was only stopped by the fact that I could not figure out how to cut out such small squares.
I cut it out with a knife before baking. Each window is separate. And ground caramel was poured into the openings. Thank you! Since the house is the first, I wanted to try different techniques. And the drawings are different, and the application is different, and I tried jellied icing. I am sure that without the advice of the girls on the forum, I definitely would not have done it!

Gingerbread house (how to assemble and decorate)
This is my first experimental house ...
Gingerbread house (how to assemble and decorate)
And this I did for Christmas ...
My two houses ... But from the usual test:
2 chicken eggs, 1 glass of sugar, 0.5 bags of vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, beat until frothy and doubled.
Then add 100 g of melted butter!
And 1 tablespoon with a slide of fat (I have homemade) sour cream.
Mix.
Pour in 1.5 (250 ml) cups of sifted wheat flour mixed with 0.5 dessert spoon of baking soda, mix well.
Put the dough on the table, sprinkled with flour from the total amount, add 1 cup of wheat flour on top and knead into a soft dough. No more flour! The total amount of flour is 2.5 cups (250 ml) of wheat flour!
Put the dough in a bag and set in the cold for 1 hour.
Then divide the dough into parts, roll each part on parchment sprinkled with flour until fine, the thinner the better.
Using templates, cut out the components of the house or just cookies ... Remove excess dough.
Transfer to a baking sheet with parchment and bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for 10 minutes.
For drawing, I beat 1 cold protein with 200 g of powdered sugar with a mixer.
For gluing - 1 cold protein whipped with 16 tablespoons of homemade icing sugar ...
Everything worked out perfect. On one house, the roof went off through my fault, my arm ached and I did not hold it, but went about other things ...

And this is a cookie made from the remains of dough ...

Valentina I liked the house with butterflies. Itself would have lived in this: ozhidanie: He is so kind, fabulous. The second one is also pretty.
And I just tasted gingerbread today. At first I was a little upset that they were tough. And then they lay down for 3-4 days with apple pieces, peeled and softened

Irina, cool. and what kind of dough is so dark and smooth?
Natkamor, I took it from a foreign site, I liked the stencils there and the aunt seems to be a direct specialist in gingerbread houses. She wrote that it seems like this dough was made by some chef in the White House. The dough is certainly not as rich as our gingerbread, but you don't need to stand it either.
2 cups sugar
1 cup + 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup solid vegetable shortening (typically vegetable fat) multitran translated: vegetable kombat or shortening based on vegetable oil
4 eggs
3 tablespoons of molasses
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup cocoa

To be honest, delicious. but our gingerbread dough is much more refined

DaNiSa, Colorful houses! Although I liked the first two more, the third looks somehow easier. It's just that you have already demonstrated such palaces from icing that the third option is no longer your kind of level
However, in the gingerbread houses the most important thing is their deliciousness and magic for children, but here it is all there!
Vei, Thank you!! agree! here the third house was whipped up. very, very quickly, because they asked very, very much and it was just a gift, we took him away even not dried up, oh, he didn't even want to pack, everything got off him, but they asked so, so they asked that we were glad to anyone ..
I still have 1, this is a big one, I still made it. but when loading on HB I saw that there were absolutely problems with the background, and after your photos, especially how Larissa makes out, it became completely ashamed to exhibit this, I will take a picture of it in the New Year's decoration and exhibit
and I forgot to take another 2 houses! only when I gave them away and now I was looking at the photo, I saw that they were not there!
Quote: Mona1

No, the third house is just the most cheerful and cheerful, for the kids the class! How many colorful and probably tasty things are there! Children need this and not embroidery there all sorts and smooth.
Mona1, Thank you! I still made it out on January 1, asleep

Alena, great houses !!! I also packed it like that, and at the third house there are multi-colored stars - it's that ... bezeshki or sweets ... very bright, festive! Well done!

Oh, girls !!! Something I missed so many pictures! All your houses are awesome! Each is interesting in its own way! I liked everything with embroidery and backlit and sweets !!! Some did it for the first time and you can't say that for the first time !!! I'll show you mine! Oh, I fiddled with him of course! there were a lot of errors, especially during the assembly. Liza's recipe baked https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=401161.0 ... The client is regular and her children love soft gingerbread. I have baked the house for the second time according to this recipe. The first time I collected it without any problems. but this time, I forgot to pin down the details after baking. I crushed only the base and because I baked it on the second day (I forgot to bake it right away) So, as I didn’t level it with a grater, I didn’t manage to level it much. Especially with the roof worn out, it can be said to adjoin only in two places. I had to fill the holes with chocolate in order to somehow fix it. The decorated house was stained with chocolate: sorry1: I had to change something. Well, nothing, today my husband took it, listened to the praise, and then they called me with admiration too: oops: Nice so !! Yesterday I took a photo late at night (in the morning it would have been dark too, it was necessary to deliver it early), the lighting is not very good. Girls, don't scold the gnome too much! Yesterday, the computer was also under repair, I drew from myself, so to speak. I changed my eyes several times. They didn't work out anyway

There were roses and some other flowers. It's just that when they order and don't say what they want, it's hard to come up with something
