Girls, are you happy with your pressure cooker? I can't tell Dex or Scarlett. for the price found the same in fact.

I am very happy with my Scarlett pressure cooker.
My two multis are now idle, because I cook only in a pressure cooker. And it quickly saves energy and it turns out much tastier than in a multicooker. Of course, I love my many, but if I had to choose only one unit, I would choose a pressure cooker.
I regularly study the pressure cooker market, but I haven’t found anything better than mine.
Of course, everyone praises their saucepans because they are used to them and because they are their own. But if we look at it objectively, then the Scarlett pressure cooker is today one of the most functional models and at the same time one of the most inexpensive. It has all the necessary functions, well-chosen and located modes, including the "baking" mode and "your own recipe" with a countdown from 2 to 99 minutes, there is also a delay start, which the same Dex and Elby with mechanical control does not have, very a good quality saucepan, a good metal steamer, and she looks beautiful.
In general, I will summarize, any pressure cooker, like any multicooker, is good and helps a lot in the kitchen, but if I chose now, I would definitely choose Scarlett again.
fronya40
Pingvinus, how long do you have it?

I LIVE IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD AND BOUGHT A FASTENER FOR 5 THOUSAND RUBLES. I LOOK IN UKRAINE THEY ARE MUCH CHEAPER. I LIKE THE STEERING COOKER ALSO VERY LIKE.

Yes Yes. I live in Belarus and bought my scarlett johannson) for about $ 120. ehh ...
Irina_T
Tell me, did anyone cook yoghurts in it? Share how?
azaza
In a pressure cooker, yoghurts can only be cooked according to the principle of a thermos: heat milk in a micron (on the stove or in any other convenient way) to a temperature of 37-40 *, add sourdough into it, pour into jars, put in a saucepan of a pressure cooker, pour warm water over the shoulders of the jars , and close the lid tightly.

Did you pour cold water into a saucepan? or also like milk up to 40?
Vitalinka
They poured lukewarm water, but I didn't measure the degrees. When I did it in a multicooker, I put it on heating for 15 minutes. And here I tried the saucepan a few minutes later - it's hot, so I turned it off. Yes, and I made yoghurt on the activity.
Irina_T
Did you put something on the bottom (napkins or a rag)?
Vitalinka
I put a silicone mat on the bottom.
uglianna
Yesterday my beloved gave me this knuckle-piece, therefore I am joining your ranks. I have never come across such gizmos before, and I did not have a multicooker, so everything is only empirically (not without your prompts, of course). In the evening, the first thing I did was to prepare a "tender" biscuit, the one in the recipe book. Perhaps I did something wrong, for the first time I didn’t like it, it tasted strange, and it didn’t rise at all, it’s just a cake, it looks like a "mannik".In the morning I boiled tongues for aspic, everything very quickly, just super, on the soup mode, then threw in the whole onion and salt with pepper and laurel, and put it again on the soup (although once was enough for the tongue). Then I managed to boil the carrots on the steamer mode and eggs on the wire rack, at the same time, for 10 minutes and everything is ready! Well, soup in broth from the tongue with beans, in general everything suited me, while I am happy with everything, and my husband comes home from work and actually appreciates the gift from a male point of view

Girls!!! I bought a pressure cooker 3 days ago and cooked milk rice porridge and just rice in it - everything turned out great! But today I set up to cook milk oatmeal (I have to cook porridge every day, I have a small child), and after the steam pumping, the pressure cooker gave me incomprehensible letters E and E in the other direction and at the same time constantly squeaked. What is it, tell me, otherwise I'm worried, is it broken ???
Marishka
On other forums they write that these letters EZ mean perheating ?! Why overheating? What causes overheating? Girls, help me figure it out !!!
Pingvinus
Error E3 - means overheating of the lower ten, if the pressure cooker is unplugged and allowed to cool slightly, it will turn on and work without problems. This is not a breakdown, this is done to protect the device from overheating, the same is in Scarlett's multicooker.

Most likely, when you boiled oatmeal there was little liquid, and in general it is not very rational to cook oatmeal in a pressure cooker, but if you cannot do without it, pour more liquid and set the minimum time - 2 minutes.
SeredaG
I doubt that normal oatmeal will cook in 2 minutes. You just got used to processed express cereals like Nordic for example. Normal natural oatmeal is cooked in my Elby for at least 20 minutes. (whole grains are only slightly flattened). And I have no overheating.
Marishka, I think I heard Scarlet's game like that - it gave out such an overheating error - there is only one way out - to change it before it's too late, it shouldn't be that way. The porridge did not burn, did it? Maybe a very small portion? Try to cook porridge of the same thickness, but a larger portion. at least the allowed minimum of a saucepan.
uglianna
and yesterday I read that everyone is preparing milk porridge with a delayed start, everyone fell asleep and went to bed contentedly, and in the morning the MILK in the porridge is acidic! Now I don’t understand anything, how is it, how can others cook like this and they don’t have anything sour overnight?

and by the way, about the oatmeal, I cooked it on the children's menu mode (20 minutes) and everything turned out very well, what 2 minutes are we talking about
Pingvinus
SeredaG, I don't know how your Elby works, but I know for sure that in Scarlett E3 does not mean breakdown, but only overheating of the lower shadow. I have been using Scarlett's multicooker for a year and a half and Scarlett's pressure cooker for 3 months, so I speak from my own experience, and not from someone else's feedback on other forums.
Of course, E3 can mean a breakdown, but only if you open the saucepan and discover that there is still liquid there and nothing has begun to burn, but if there is no liquid and a crust has formed at the bottom, then this is just overheating.
Personally, I like the fact that Scarlett has additional protection and the products will not burn if I pour little water, but if the question is of principle, then of course it is better to immediately hand over the device that did not satisfy your requests to the store and buy another one.
And about oatmeal, of course, if it's not cereals, then they won't be ready in 2 minutes, but in my opinion 20 minutes is a lot. In a pressure cooker, in 20 minutes, a piece of frozen beef turns into tender stewed meat, and I cook rolled oatmeal on "rice" in 12 minutes.
uglianna, so that the milk does not turn sour until morning, you need to put it in a saucepan frozen.
uglianna
Pingvinus, hmm .. thanks for the advice, I will continue to experiment.I also have such a question, how do you wash the cover from Scarlett SL-1529, because smells remain there, you can wash it straight under water or what? I'm just rubbing it for now, BUT THE SMELL IS THAT ...
filirina
I also recently learned to wash the lid. Vitalina helped me figure it out. It is necessary to pull on the tab on the cover with a gasket. She will act. And then my inner part of the top cover and the tab itself with a gasket. Everything is clean, there are practically no smells. (Well, within the limits of what the silicone manages to absorb)

uglianna, so that the milk does not turn sour until morning, it must be put in a saucepan frozen.

So I asked Marisha: what portion was it and was it burnt or not?
Do you overheat only if there is a small amount of food or even if you cook one dish after another without giving the pressure cooker time to cool down? (I just gave it to my boss in September, but I didn't even try it myself. And it seems he planned to test it only at the dacha)
if the flakes are like this 🔗 then 20 minutes is normal, such flakes are quite tough, but some if boiled on the stove are soaked for several hours in boiling water, and then boiled for 30 minutes.

Yes, filirina wrote everything correctly.
Remove the inner insert on the lid, you can remove and wash the silicone ring itself from the insert, but I try to do this as rarely as possible, so as not to stretch it, because it will hardly be possible to buy a new one in the near future. But I must note that in Scarlett the silicone ring is quite thick and, unlike the Dex and Brand wells, it does not fall into a saucepan with food when the lid is opened, so perhaps my reverent attitude towards it is completely unnecessary.
There is no electronics in the lid of the pressure cooker, so you can safely wash all the parts of the lid under water, even read the recommendations to periodically rinse the valve under running water, but so far this need has not arisen, since both the lid and the valve remain almost always clean, and the smell absorbs it is the silicone O-ring and it is practically impossible to wash it, especially with gentle means, but the smell does not pass from it to the cooking food, so I don’t really bother with its elimination.

SeredaG, overheating occurs if a crust forms at the bottom of the saucepan due to a small amount of liquid, does not even burn yet, but only starts to stick, then the saucepan beeps and writes E3. I have not tried to cook very small portions, but I think that if the amount of liquid and the cooking time are set correctly, then it should not burn and give an error. And by the way, if you do not fry food for too long with an open lid, then E3 also does not give out.
uglianna
filirina, Pingvinus thanks girls)
But all because of what, I ran through the instructions quickly, and now I read everything there, everything is written in some detail about the cover, I just somehow did not immediately think that she understood
Marishka
Many thanks to everyone, calmed down a bit !!! By the way, my milk burnt for some reason, apparently that's why a sign of overheating appeared. And tell me why it was burnt, because this is my most important dish now - milk porridge for my dochuli.
Marishka
Today I cooked milk buckwheat porridge on the children's menu for 15 minutes. The error did not jump out, but the bottom was still burnt. I cook 1 glass of cereal for 1 liter of milk. In the cartoon, it never burned (at my mother).
uglianna
and in the morning I made a glass of milk and half a glass of water, 5 tablespoons of table oatmeal and two tablespoons of muesli, on the nursery for 15 minutes, it turned out well, without any complaints this time

Hello everyone! I really want to buy my wife a Scarlett SL-1529. I live near Kiev. Can you tell me where you can get this miracle of technology? I ran through a lot of sites and realized that in terms of price-quality-functionality ratio, this is the most worthy unit. Romogite, plis
uglianna
VETAL, here 🔗 and here 🔗 not bad prices, but of course it would be better to buy in a store in Kiev itself.
filirina
Unfortunately, I want to note that I was looking for a Scarlet 1529 gift from mid-October in Kiev and Ukraine, I gave requests to all online stores where it is declared, but it is not yet in Ukraine. I found one in Kharkov and it was with a scratch and a curved sheet. So wait for a new delivery. Maybe they will be blown up to NG and delivered. In general, the unit is really very worthy. She took the last one for herself in Photos at the beginning of October. Yuzayu is not ceasing and happy as an elephant. (and I have something to compare with !!! because naughty deviceaholic)

Hello. I'm new to your site. I saw how they cook porridge in a ceramic pot in the ARS multicooker-pressure cooker. Water is poured into the bottom. Is it possible in Scarlett?

Tatian
Hello) I'm trying to find an assistant for the kitchen, could you answer this question: it turns out that the main difference between MV and SCV is in the cooking time (due to various technologies)? Thanks in advance for your reply)
Tatian
And some more questions arose:
1) Is it possible to replace the standard steam stand with an additional-cup, which is suspended, and from below to cook something else?
2) And can someone tell me how the SCV model is better: Scarlett SL-1529 or Polaris PPC 0205AD?
azaza
Tatyana, I will try to answer you.
The main difference between MV and SV is not the time, but the method of preparation. In MV, food is cooked under normal pressure, but in a thermally closed space (like in a thermos, the result is comparable to cooking in a Russian oven). In SV, food is cooked under high pressure, and nothing else (except for frying with an open lid and baking with an open valve). The main difference in the cooking process: in the MB you can get under the lid at any time and add some ingredients, you can check the dish for readiness and, depending on the result, interrupt the program ahead of time or restart the program until the dish is completely ready. It is impossible to crawl under the lid in the CB, you cannot check the readiness of the product or add new products before the pressure is released. Manually, the pressure can be relieved in two minutes, or you can wait 15-20 minutes for it to even out by itself. Only then can you look into the saucepan.

Suspended steamer bowls are not practiced in CB - they interfere with the tight fit of the lid, and this is the most important moment for gaining and maintaining pressure.
Both Scarlet and Polaris are wonderful pressure cookers! To say which one is better, you need to own both, but there are no such users here yet.So you just have to take our word for it: both models are good. But do not forget that Polaris has defective bowls. Not all, but they do happen. A spare saucepan cannot be found. There is no such information about Scarlet yet.
As far as I know, there are other ground forces in Russia. Including those for which you can freely buy a spare saucepan. Believe me, this is an important factor.
Tatian
Everything is very clear and intelligible) Thank you

Quote: azaza

Yes, but in my city I was able to find only these two SLE models ..

Quote: azaza

A spare saucepan cannot be found. There is no such information about Scarlet yet.

Is there an opportunity to pick up a saucepan on Scarlet? To look for them in the city shops or to order them only via the Internet?
It's just that I'm in this business - quite a "teapot"
azaza
So I say: there is no data about Skarlusha's saucepan yet. That is, they haven't picked it up yet.
And a replaceable bowl for either the MV or the CB is very important. I myself am now in search of: pressure cookers in Ukr. began to appear (until recently, there was nothing to choose from: Moulinex and Polaris. Moulinex is unreasonably expensive, and in Polaris I was "lucky" with a bowl), and there are no stocks for any SV available on our market. Cry at least.
Maybe you'd better order a pressure cooker with delivery to your city, and immediately with a changeable bowl? It will come out a little more expensive, but after six months you will not have to buy a new pressure cooker due to the impossibility of changing the bowl.
Tatian

Perhaps this is really a more rational option .. And, for example, is this SCW of which companies?

Well, for example: 🔗 And the displacement is different, and spare pots. If you search, Google will give you many more options. Like I saw Redmond, Unit and some others. There is also Brand, and also with spare parts. Look, we have a lot of information on the forum on pressure cookers. Sorry, I can't look for links now - I need to feed my husband.

But the more I search, the more I get confused and everything returns to one question: a slow cooker or a pressure cooker ...
