sorry, I read it inattentively. I have a thermometer for water, and what should be the temperature in the jar and how to increase it
Yes, there is no way to increase, usually everyone is soared to reduce. Just to know if it's suitable for leavening. VIVOs need some 35-37, some 36-38. To understand whether it is underheating, or something else. And the thermometer should be for liquids. In extreme cases, measure the aquarium ones, but they are inaccurate.

Hello! I was presented with a Dex-108 yogurt maker, I want to make yogurt for the first time. Tell me what sourdough is better to take so that it turns out for sure, without "dancing with tambourines" We sell Vivo and Good Foot. I didn't master the whole Temka, so I ask for advice
Masinen
Girls, so what kind of yoghkrtnitsa does not overheat ??? Brand or Daewoo with a display unit ?? Which one to buy ??? I have a mystery, so it's 50 degrees.
Manna
I have nothing to compare with, but Brand 4001 definitely does not overheat, at least until such data appeared. It is also very convenient because the body has the effect of a thermos, and the cups are almost completely immersed in the body, and not only half as in many yogurt makers. Keeps the temperature stable.
Masinen
Did you measure the temperature in it, what does it hold?
Manna
Yes, it was a measure. Look here HERE... There, in the first message, a complete list of my tests of this yogurt maker.
Here HERE I measured the temperature after 5 hours (it was 41 ° C) and then an hour later in the switched off yogurt maker (it was 31 ° C). It was the temperature at the bottom of the bowl.
Here HERE I measured the temperature of the water in the bowl in which the cups stood, after 4 hours it was just over 39 ° C. I experimented in every possible way.
And so according to all my measurements, the temperature did not exceed 41 ° C. I prepare sour milk by placing the cups in the bowl, and then I put the bowl in the yogurt maker.

Girls who have Dex 108, tell me, is it necessary to close the cups with lids when fermenting or not? The instructions say that it is necessary to close it .... and then they write - at the end, take out the cups and ... close again .. maybe some mistake? And yet, tell me where to put the cups - in the yogurt maker or in the tray? I did not understand something according to the instructions, I did the first time yoghurt with GoodFood sourdough - it turned out after 8 hours, tasty, but stringy, I probably did something wrong, maybe I had to pour water?
Masinen
So, manna, I'm more and more inclined towards the brand, I don't like mine. I already laid the bottom with thin foam and the temperature was 42 degrees after 4 hours of switching on.
Boom to buy Brand))

No, Brand doesn't need such tweaks.
Masinen
Oh, I really want a normal yogurt maker, otherwise it's just torment. I really asked my husband to bring a piece of insulating material, I thought to put it in mine. On Monday, I'll buy a brand, God forbid)))
Manna
The only negative is that the thermostat is impossible if you cook kefir or sour cream. But I got used to turning off the yogurt maker when preparing kefir / sour cream from dry starter cultures after 4 hours (I set the timer for 4 hours), and when over-starving, I turn it on only for 10-15 minutes, and then leave the jars / cups in the switched off yogurt maker, and it holds well temperature.

I close the cups, although it is quite possible not to close them.
We put the cups in the yoghurt maker, and the plastic bowl is for making cottage cheese, and you can also cook yoghurt directly in it.
If the yogurt is sticky, there are several reasons:
1.in the starter culture there is an acidophilic bacillus - it gives pulling
2.the starter was dissolved in cold milk
3. too low temperature at which the product was fermented.
In the Dex 108 yogurt maker, you do not need to pour water between the glasses.

Girls, hello everyone! I read Temko, pick up the device) Fresh information: there are in Russia and Clatronic and Saturn here for example 🔗 there is nothing more to tell on the topic

Upset today (

I found out that my moulinex is overheating, without substrates - 46 degrees, put a terry napkin - 42, as a result put a circle of corrugated cardboard (packed it in a bag so that it would not get wet right away, if anything) - yesterday I tried to ferment with yogulact. Three capsules per liter of warm milk and for 10 hours in a yogurt maker. In the morning I looked - it seemed fermented, not very thick. The serum has not separated, the jars are slightly warm. I sent them to the refrigerator. Later I looked - I wanted to take it to work, one jar is generally liquid - milk, the other - dug, there is a white mass in the whey, but not cottage cheese. In short, disorders alone (((
I'll come home in the evening, I'll try it, maybe it tastes nothing. Honestly, the desire is generally to ferment in a thermos, and throw out this garbage like a yogurt maker. What for is it needed, if it doesn't keep the temperature normally, guess here. A thermos is more reliable (((
Masinen
I ordered a brand of yoghurt here, and now I read reviews that Ariete 85 does not overheat. And now, which one is better, then buy?
There is an opportunity to take ariete for 620 rubles, because there is a small crack on the lid.

Arieta is 50-50, as soon as you get there, and Brand has never had any complaints. (I know what I'm talking about) I ordered a good yoghurt maker
Masinen
Of course, I was bribed by the reviews in the brand and the fact that there is a timer that will turn off itself, and you can put a thermostat for arieta, I also ordered it for my old yogurt maker. That's why I asked))
In general, tomorrow I'll see two of them, maybe I ordered both. Whichever one you like more and buy, of course the Brand is beautiful and big !!!

Do not be discouraged, just pharmacy starter cultures usually come out like that, every other time, or even less often. Buy normal starter cultures and you will be happy. There are Bulgarian, Italian starter cultures, up to 42 degrees. By the way, you can buy a thermostat if you want, but you can do it even at such a temperature. You can put another circle of drywall, or put a rug under the hot one. Just find a suitable starter culture. I would tell you where to buy, but I'm from Ukraine, where in Russia, let the Russian girls tell me.
By the way, there are not pharmacy starters, but which, as distributors, are sold by some pharmacy chains. Here, for example, the Bulgarian Genesis starter cultures are distributed by the Fagotsia network of pharmacies, and the Italian GoodFood - by Phytopharm and several other drugstore chains. You also for sure. For several years I walked past the pharmacy in the next house and did not know what they were selling there. By chance, when I went to get the medicine, I saw a Good Food advertisement on the glass. Yes, they say we have them. And in the pharmacy a little further I found the Bulgarian ones in the same way. So just ask around. These are dry starter cultures, powder. They are just for making yoghurts. There are also other names, Lactina, VIVO (of these, yogurt is suitable, the rest is up to 37 degrees.) True, VIVO is Ukrainian) and many others.
darsergevna
Mona1, I took narine - just as a leaven. At the pharmacy. Powdered sachets. But she did not achieve stability. I wanted to get a different taste with yogulact, but it didn’t work out (And for sourdoughs - I ask in pharmacies, while they offer only narine. Today I’ll ask in another one if they had to bring something, see what they offer.

I wanted to order delivery to my city, but I don't know how the starter cultures can get there. They are alive and require specials. temperature, you need to look at the sites to see if there is such a possibility in principle. I am afraid to receive empty powder, especially with the onset of summer - it is quite hot here, and the post office works very badly. Again, no guarantees.

I wanted to order a thermostat - but I have a mulinex with a timer. Such a yogurt maker with a thermostat does not work. Or you need to break it))

Why am I - I'm generally a deviceaholic, very good. I love kitchen helpers. And for the first time the device froze me out like that - an assistant, honestly. There are so many dances with a tambourine around a plastic bucket with a tenom, which must, in order to perform its functions, keep stable rights. temperature. No specials needed. programs, mixing something, doing something supernatural. Just keep the temperature and that's it. And this subject does not cope with one single easy work. I don’t know, while I will try further .. Let's see if I can come to an acceptable result. Maybe I’ll be encouraged to experiment, and when there’s nothing to lose, we’ll finish it off with a file and screw on the thermostat if we can buy it. But when I buy all such items, my goal is to save as much time as possible. Therefore, I will carefully consider the possibility of making yoghurts in a thermos and a slow cooker. If it is faster and more convenient, the yogurt maker will retire.

Sorry, it just boiled)

darsergevna, see the link. Novorossiysk is not there, but in Rostov-on-Don, for example, there are three official distributors. And in Volgograd too. Many people here use lactin, their leavens are tolerant to temperature deviations.
Mona1
Now you just need to order, because it's cold. I was so VIVO at one time ordering a carriage. And then they lived in the freezer for a year and a half until they ran out. Only some cannot be frozen, but you just need to keep them on the top shelf in the refrigerator, you will specify when you order, how to store them. And order by mail now, otherwise it will sharply get warmer, then others like you will have to look around the city just like that. In large supermarkets there are. Here in the Metro we bought.
darsergevna
Cifra, from us to Rostov hours 6 norms. go))) And to Volgograd and even more) It is two hours to Krasnodar in good weather, but I won't go there for sourdough) Anyway, thanks, I climb the sites, maybe I'll order what, we'll see who delivers and how. Rumor has it that here in our pharmacy there are different sourdoughs, you need to go to see a specialist ..

darsergevna, I understand that it is not a neighboring house. But the residents of Rostov and Volgograd should clearly understand the problems with the temperature and the safety of starter cultures in the heat. Somehow they carry themselves. There are phone numbers and email addresses.

Cifra, I can only envy the residents of Rostov and Volgograd that they have an office in the city. representatives.

Aygul, Thank you so much. This Svoyogurt, it seems, has already gone to look)

Both? And a clathronic and a smile?
Masinen
I read about the smile, that there is overheating, but the clathronic, as I realized, is no longer produced. I've only seen with jars.
Mona1
Quote: Vei

Both? And a clathronic and a smile?
I have a Klatronic. Overheats. But I have it in alliance with the thermostat. Therefore, it does not overheat right now. And Smile seems to be with automation, here the thermostat probably won't be able to adapt, that is, it will always overheat.
Mona1
Yes, I forgot to write, I have a Clathronic with which jars. It is being released now. By the way, I bought it on the Klatronika website, and immediately bought a set of additional jars there (6 pcs in a package). They are very much needed. No need to wait until every single jar is empty. You can put new yogurt or fermented baked milk, for example. Or suddenly, some kind of crash, and there is always a reserve.
Vei
A clathronic without jars looks like an ice cream maker, who knows what?
Masinen
And I'm all in agony)) tomorrow I have to go to buy a yogurt maker, but I don't know which one to buy. Either take it with a timer and a display and it does not overheat-Brand or take a cheaper thermostat to adapt the thermostat to it.
What is better then? Do I need to decide before tomorrow?

I would take one to which the thermostat can be adapted (especially if it already exists) - for me personally it is more convenient - sour cream, kefir, other leavens - all without problems
As experience shows, even that yogurt maker, which initially kept the temperature of 38-39C, nevertheless begins to overheat over time, which happened to my Dex 108 (it began to warm up to 45C)
Therefore, for me, the ideal option is a yoghurt maker + a thermostat, which I use.
AlenaT
I support!)))
It also seems to me that my Mulinex for three and a half years
began to lie a little, but I was not yet convinced of this completely.
So I'm also for the thermostat.
Masinen
I also thought, what if an expensive brand, in a year or so, will start giving me surprises.
The only thing is that Ariete has a crack on the lid, so I think this will affect the process inside it or not?
AlenaT
Risk zone.
Since the crack is on the lid, it means that it was subjected to mechanical
impact (such as being hit or dropped on her).
I would be careful ...
AlenaT
And about possible overheating: the girls advised empirically
make the substrate on the bottom of a yogurt maker, such as cardboard.
Acts as an insulator of excess heat.
Masinen
I found out, they say that a fully working device and a full guarantee goes. That the packaging is damaged and the lid is cracked. In general, we need to see her live, whether everything is all right with her. The cups are all intact, I think they were damaged during transportation.
Vei
Masha, with your light hand today I am immersed in the topic of yogurt makers all day and not only here)))
Apparently, they all begin to mow over time, so a thermostat is needed. But maybe one of it is enough for your current one?
Masinen
Yeah, I already understood that the regulator is definitely needed, but I wanted more cans.In short, I aimed at Arieta, if she turns out to be in a completely bad state, then I will order in another E5 store, they sent me a promotional code for a discount and it comes out 800r with delivery. Can they take a normal one right away?
Vei
Better just normal)))
But I liked the smiley 3001, I don’t know how to be right now either)))
Aygul

is it with jars or with a bowl?
AlenaT
It seems to me that with jars is better.
I have Moulinex for 7 jars of 150 grams, very convenient.
And you can eat a portion at home, and it is convenient to take to work ...
darsergevna
kubanochka , thank you) now I went to another pharmacy - they have an evitalia. I'll try.

And morning yoghurt from yogulact - three jars were leavened, three not (apparently did not have time). Which are fermented - nothing, you can eat, but for my taste they are sour. Apparently, in principle - the taste is like that. I will remove the cardboard, put a couple of terry napkins, and continue to experiment. It seems like a light is visible at the end of the tunnel ..)
Vei
Quote: Aygul

is it with jars or with a bowl?
This is with a bowl, you can put a glass jar, otherwise I have already fucked up with the jars, sorry for the syllable
And then there is a timer with there and you can put a thermostat. True, he himself does not turn off, but only beeps. Ksyushka has one, but she is not here yet (((
And it's also interesting to find out about Binaton in a silver rectangular box for 8 cans, there is a timer with a shutdown.
