Tell me, has anyone had any experience with drying with the LEQUIP IR D5?
To what extent is such a high cost justified?

from the description:
The infrared dehydrator L'equip IR D5 is equipped with an infrared heater, thanks to which the food is heated immediately, and not the air, as in conventional dehydrators. This ensures maximum efficiency as no energy is wasted in heating the air.
then isn't it easier and cheaper buy several infrared drying rugs or are there anyway fan?

there is a fan

Drying is carried out with the help of heated air driven by a fan, that is, it does not differ from other streaming dehydrators, but the Korean is good, everything is neat and functional, and a beautiful apparatus
Milamila
Yes, that's about the rugs, I also thought. Ready-made in the region of 1800 rubles or cheaper, and if you buy rugs on Mitino, it is even cheaper. Unrolled, dried, removed and that's it. But this Korean is a darling :). And as far as metal trays are justified. The case is plastic in any way.
On ebee you can buy for 25 thousand, it will come in a week. Here in Moscow - more than 35 thousand. There are no real reviews. Only with advertising on the seller.

Milamila
Can not understand. Is it IR or shadow?
In Korean, attracts IR elements and supposedly noiselessness.
Irgata
Milamila, I gave a link with a detailed description and with pictures = horizontal type dryer, there is a heating element and a fan

works not like a drying mat, but with a blower, like all electric dryers
Quote: Milamila
supposedly noiselessness.
many fan dryers are low-noise, this depends on the quality and type of materials from which the dryer is made, and depends on the build quality

dry winds M low noise. the travola wardrobe works quietly.

IR elements
open fire also gives IR radiation, any household heating element also
Milamila
I know about IR radiation :) But the IR range is very large. The device is not the same.
Which dryer is the best today? I understand what the taste and color are ... but, for example, it is better to take a Panasonic bread maker, and a dehydrator?
Milamila
For 1.5 months I tried to dissuade myself from buying, but still bought a Korean :) I cost 26 thousand on ebee (here it costs 35.5). It was a week from Korea. Yesterday at one o'clock in the morning we received (this is now the delivery from EMC). Tested only on apples. It seems like evenly. But I have nothing to compare with. The plastic smelled the first minute after unpacking. Made according to my husband (he is my engineer) competently. The only negative is the instruction in Korean, but everything seems to be clear there even in the pictures, plus the resellers here translated it into Russian.

Ezidri Snackmaker Electric Dryer
She worked for 20 years, and quietly left ... Isidri-500
I completely agree with Tanya, the best dryer for me is Isidri !!!! Already several times from friends I heard negative reviews on their dryers, they wanted to be cheaper, but now they are taking it out ... Constantly need to be monitored, changed places, cannot be left unattended, etc. And they often dry longer than stated in the instructions.
Many dryers have no temperature selection. Isidri has 3 degrees of heating, you can choose which mode to dry on depending on the food and the degree of dryness. Even in Isidri, you can dry different products and the smells do not mix, since the air passes through each pallet separately and immediately goes out without getting into the neighboring pallet. That is, you can dry simultaneously (naturally on different trays) garlic and candy without the risk of getting a candy with the smell of garlic!
Isidri is my fifth year, I never once wished that I had bought it! A friend at work bought Isidri on my recommendation, I also only hear admiration from her
Milamila
I am sharing my feedback on LEQUIP IR D5.
Dries great. There is an accelerated drying mode (obviously, by the sensor).
But! Koreans cheated a little. The second time after switching on, there was an extraneous noise. I sinned on the fan, my husband opened the device and it turned out that the Koreans, somewhere, did not tighten something when attaching the motor, and also did not lubricate the bearings, in 20 minutes he brought everything to mind.
I believe that such a flaw is unacceptable for a device with such a price. Possibly depends on the party. We took for the Korean market, maybe they do it for export with greater diligence. And so everything else is super. The only thing, while I do not know what to dry the marshmallow, so I haven't tried it yet.

Hello girls. Can you please tell me how much electricity does an electric dryer consume? I look closely at the breeze, but my husband said that there would be a lot of electricity consumption. Who used please respond.
lana's light
Silyavka, Lena, I have Isidri 500, she has a maximum power of 500 W, Veterkov has a power of 500/600 W. That is, they consume almost the same. So my Isidri is not expensive at all for electricity!
We have an old meter - there you can see how the disk rotates depending on the included electrical appliances. And when I turn on the dryer, the disc spins just barely. But how many healthy and tasty things she dries to me during the season !!! I love my Isidrya !!!
A very useful thing in the household! I hope your husband still agrees to the purchase

First, open the section CONTENTS OF THE SECTION "RECIPES FOR ELECTRIC DRYER" and show him everything the dryer can do - and then talk about electricity.

No electricity costs are comparable to what you can cook and what to feed your family in winter
And with pure products
Silyavka
Tanya, I am emphasizing that there will be space in the freezer for (so dearly beloved) zucchini, this is a strong argument.I have two freezers, one, a small one, full of strawberries, to the eyeballs, and in the large one there are also only 2 empty boxes left. And zucchini (according to her husband) is MALOOOOO. So I sing to him as much space will be freed up.

Tanya, thanks for the recipe.

Silyavka, I have Breeze-2. Just count it: drying apples in circles on 3 trays takes me approx. 8-10 hours. I dry at a maximum power of 600 W, that is, 0.6 kW x 8 = 4.8 kW is consumed during drying. I do not know how dear it is to you, consider it yourself. And that's just 3 pallets of apples ...
$ vetLana
I bought Walter last year. Dried a lot of apples. She paid significantly more for the e-mail. But there will be no apples this year.
Admin
Girls, you do not think so about the cost of the product and from the use of the dryer

Estimate how much the same apples will cost you if you buy them in the store and in the market in winter?
And what quality will they be?

The same is with other preparations, dried fruits, herbs ...
And we harvest a lot of things that cannot be bought anywhere in winter, at any price!
And this is the nutrition and health of our family in the winter, which lasts a very long time
$ vetLana
Admin, agree. For the sake of interest, I looked in the store how much dried apples cost and what quality. Therefore, with both hands for the dryer.
Svetta
Admin, Yes, I agree. But I usually do not buy any drying in the amount that I have prepared. Now I don't know where to put it. And before buying a dryer, I bought drying for compote on the market, and the choice is huge and the prices are any. I understand that I have an atypical case, there are two of us and the consumption is small. But nevertheless, the cost of electricity costs real money, for our family they are far from superfluous. And one cannot keep silent about this, one does not always have to make excuses for quality. IMHO
Admin
Sveta, apparently you still need to take into account the place of residence and the availability of dried fruits in stores.
In Moscow (and not only), prices for high-quality dried fruits are simply crazy

Therefore, for example, it is more practical for me to manage to buy fruits and vegetables on the market (since you can at least negotiate a discount on the market, especially at the end of the day) and dry it myself. It pays off in winter, especially when the volume is high.

In the market, sellers are bought every other day, and therefore, the day before, they are ready to give away fruits for a song, while they still have a presentation and quality.
Many times I bought fruit like that - just take it!

There is no such thing in stores, the price is tough there, no discounts are expected.
Milamila
The problem of purchased dried fruits is not only the price, but also sulfur dioxide, dyes, insects and more.

I dry everything I see) - parsley, garlic (chips), onions, zucchini, eggplant. And I tried all the berries and fruits: I just washed and dried the mulberries, currants, agrus, raspberries, strawberries, apples, pears, plums - Hungarian, delicious candied fruits from pumpkins, apricots, vyshny, zucchini.
And how many marshmallows can you make - not only sweet but also salty and peppery. ...

The main thing is to decide on the brand of drying. Although electricity is not worth a penny, but if the price of dried fruits and dried greens is defended in the winter, then the costs are justified. Plus the economy of space and does not depend on turning off the light (if the power is turned off
Leonidas
I have a SUPRA dryer, temperature control from 30-70 degrees.5 transparent pallets, adjustable in height, for drying greens from a mosquito net for baby carriages, I cut circles along the diameter of the pallets and lay them. Nothing wakes up, there is no smell from the mesh. Good drying. For an industrial scale will not work. But last summer, I dried a lot of mushrooms, seaweed and squid. Everything is great. Advise

The cost of the money spent on electricity is more than offset by the quality of the products in winter. The cost of dried mushrooms is enormous, and when dried, they dry out overnight. Dried greens in the store and homemade greens are generally not worth comparing. I store dried herbs in glass jars with a vacuum lid and wrap the jar in an opaque bag in a dark place. And in a 3-liter jar, a lot of greenery is placed. Even in vacuum bags, as you open the bag in winter, it smells in summer.
efa
And it seems to me that my dryer with five Scarlet trays is not enough. On the one hand, I understand that I use it only during the season. But he plows without rest. But I want a bigger volume. To be honest, I didn't notice a jump in electricity when the dryer was running. And if you compare how much the same sun-dried tomatoes cost in our market. then in general it turns out nonsense. Well, I also include my nervous system as a cost. For example, drying mushrooms in the oven is torment for me, it will stick, then it will burn. And so I lay it down and sleep well, and they also keep the color nice And when mom is calm, then it's good for home
annnushka27
I choose, I choose a dryer, I can’t choose. I look at the local online store. The choice is large, there are many names, it is difficult to understand, there is no "filter", only the price and the manufacturer can be selected. There are many firms, but I only know Veterok, Rotor, Scarlett, Supra, Diva, Dry wind.
There are several models of the same company, I can't understand how they differ? Which is better, square or round. What is the minimum displacement to watch? Lotkov, as I understand it, the more the better.
I want without a hole in the trays in the middle. There is no such information either. Ten above or below do not write either.
What are the models with a marshmallow tray?
Please help me choose an assistant! Which ones are more or less evenly dried?

I read the topic, and more than once ... it did not help

On the forum, go through the topics-models of dryers and read reviews from users of dryers, what they say about the models you listed and about others, which dryers are in favor.
Silyavka
Anya, I have Veterok 2, they bought it on August 6 (not even a month has passed), I have already dried so much greenery and peppers. Today I dried two buckets of pepper. The set includes six pallets, a pallet for marshmallow, ten and a fan are at the bottom, the maximum temperature is 70 degrees, there is a cold airflow. And here are the pallets.

In the background are the same two buckets of pepper. I would not say that they spent a lot of electricity.

I went and looked, there are 6 models, transparent, and like yours, for 5 and 6 pallets. How much do you have?

Yes, it attracted me by the fact that the pallets are somehow folded and it becomes only 19 cm high. And so cheerful white and red. So I thought I’ll ask on the forum who knows what.

looks like the red and white berry folds just for storage

, not for drying: unique pallet folding mechanism, dryer
- folded - 19 cm high,
- in the assembled working condition - 30 cm in height

and so - made of edible pallets, 6 pieces, not bad
elmi
Irsha, Thank you for the video. Yagodka1 has exactly the same pallets, and the video helped to understand how they fold and unfold. Only there is the whole mechanism on top, in the lid. Tell me, which is better: when it blows from below or from above?

or are you just choosing a dryer? Both are good.

no matter, the wind blows anyway, the dryers are not big.

Only the bottom fan is more convenient for me: When you put the trays, change them in places during drying, take them off with finished drying, then you don’t need to remove * your head * with a heating element and a fan. At the bottom when they are more convenient for me.
elmi
Irsha, I don't have one yet. I choose. I liked it white and red, because it is a very voluminous unit, there is nowhere to store it.
