Isidri has "all the wisdom" located below, and nothing has ever spilled or dripped in over 20 years of operation. Let everyone evaluate business qualities only in their own dryers
Admin, I agree, I added I summarize by their dryers.
I would also add an assessment of the ability of each owner of the dryer to handle it carefully. No matter how hard I try, and with large volumes, I will definitely have drops, if apricots and peaches are overripe or even apples I rinse and immediately cut, and then I don’t put it all out one by one, but pour it on a pallet when they are not yet drained completely from the water. Hence the drops. Or I cook prunes, that is, I keep them in syrup, and then put them to dry and much more. I can't do it without a drop.

Good evening! Yesterday I bought a Polaris PFD 1306D dryer. And today I went, read and was upset. I was guided by the number of trays (6 pieces), the depth of the sections (2.7 cm), the presence of temperature control (35-70 ºС), a countdown timer and missed the most important thing - power (240 W). Tell me, I won't be able to dry fish and meat in it? The instructions indicate the drying time for herbs, fruits and vegetables only.

Admin, thanks for the quick response.
I've read a lot of recipes. But they cost time and temperature. This is achievable in my dryer, but will the power affect this process in any way? Will it take more time, or, in principle, will not work ???

bolgae, do not be discouraged, I think that you will succeed, just do not need to do a full load of the dryer when you dry the meat or fish. It all depends on the power of the fan. I would try it on a small piece of meat or fish. Moreover, Polaris is a good company. I still remember my first combine harvester from this company. Then share the result.
Well, there are a lot of recipes for drying fish and vegetables on our website.

The power of the dryer is the ability to dry for a long time and with high quality, this is the performance of the dryer.
With a 300 W device, you can easily dry food on three floors, but for 6-7 trays you need to have at least 500-600 W.
The high power of the electric dryer allows you to make a large bookmark of fruits on pallets, in several rows, to increase the actual capacity of the trays.

Girls, tell me about the dryers. I have Isidri 500.10 trays. Not a person happy with her.
Firstly, the rearrangement of the trays is constant, uneven drying, whoever says what, there is such crap in all the coals. And the controls are rustic. Sheets for marshmallow do not like the quality of the plastic, it is difficult to wash off the oil. I am drying in very large volumes.
Wanted to take Rawmid with stainless steel trays. Sedona is also praised, I do not know if it is in a stainless version. On the forum I found only an overview of rawmid, it is not very clear who has it.
Where there are a lot of real reviews. After all, the Internet often sins with purchased or advertising reviews.

That's what I can't say about pallets and sheets.
I can take a photo of my spare parts for Isidri, which are about 20 years old, from an old dryer, the only thing that affected the plastic is the operating time. They have become grayish from time to time, slightly changed color, like other plastic aging from time to time.

I can take a photo of spare parts from the old Isidri and the new one, which is only two years old

And the plastic is washed normally, I have no complaints about it. My usual dishwashing detergent, a regular brush and a sponge.

I am reporting. I tried to dry everything that came to hand. I dried tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, plums and even two chicken breasts. Dries ... Since I don't have my own summer cottage, I buy everything, so more than three pallets did not work at the same time. The chicken breasts were dry in 7 hours. The plum was dried the longest, I cut it in halves, it should have been smaller, so it dried for two days.
In general, I'm happy with the purchase so far

I don’t know about 10 trays, but in my Dry Hove M8 there are 8 trays, an analogue of trays - dry land without rearrangements, no problem.
By the way, cabinet dryer, do you think it dries evenly? I have a TRAVOLA, and the cabinet is rectangular, and the air is driven by a fan in a circle, the edges dry out faster than the middle.
On Sukhoveevsky trays, the bottom line is, I noticed that the top tray and what lies around the hole on the tray are drying out.

I read, it is interesting: mail1: Back in the 15th year I was buying Sukhovey-M (8 trays). By hook or by crook, she took it from Moscow to Gorlovka (that's really an ineradicable hamster))). Works well even in local "bad weather" conditions. I bought it because Irsha is sure to note that there is some similarity with the Isidri 500, namely, tunnel airflow. The plastic is of high quality, very strong, easy to clean. I have a cream color. There are no nets and sheets for pastille, alas. For me, in the season when our local apples, cherries, pears, apricots are like dirt, it was not enough. 8 trays were not enough for me. Therefore, if we go home again for the summer, or even come back, I will most likely buy Isidri 1000 with 10 or 15 trays. Expensive. But - at least, there is a year in stock before the onset of a new harvest season. Mom, unfortunately, is not such a fan of technology as I am. Afraid to turn on something once again. And what a help it would be!

Alena Besha, for marshmallows, in my dryers Dachnitsa4M, Diva I cover the pallets with ordinary baking paper. When the pastille dries, I moisten the paper with water right under the tap, the paper is removed with a stocking by 1-2-3. I dry the paper and use it again, it lasts for a season without replacement, sometimes even for the second season I use the same paper.

For this price, you will buy yourself 4 more of the same dryers, does it make sense to buy such an expensive one? Moreover, as I understand it, you need a dryer for large volumes, which means 4 is always better than one .. And if you need delicate drying for dry-cured sausages, meat, fish, pay attention to the Travolka with 9 trays. Even so, this money will be enough for you for Grass and 2 more Dry winds with 8 pallets.
But this, of course, is my opinion, that is, I would have done it. You know better.

But what about the Sedona with 2 fans?
It turns out, according to the logic, round uniformly blown, but the cabinets are not?

Sikorka, in my opinion, an electric dryer in the form of a cabinet, that is, when fans and heaters are at the back, this is the best option. And even not only because they have more uniform drying on all pallets, but also because no drops or accidentally spilled liquid mass from the pastille fall from the pallets either on the heaters or on the fans.
I wrote in more detail about dryers in post 845 of 08/12/18 on the previous page 843, here.

Lyi, thanks for the recommendations, opinion! Moreover, you, as a resident of the south, are familiar with how to cope with an abundance of fruits and vegetables. As for the big Isidri - this is what I am, trying on for now, thinking out loud. Grass-wolf, yes, a great option! And for the purchase of additional. dryers many factors will influence. The most important thing is where we will find ourselves in the next moment of life, we will settle down, finally. Some events taught us not to renounce and not plan life for years to come. : girl_pardon: If we return to our private house, fertile climate - I think it still makes sense to buy a proven dryer with a large number of trays. And there - it will be seen.)) I will pull financially and buy, no - there are options to roam. 3-4 dryers still need to be installed somewhere. Therefore, I look at performance

You can talk about grass and marshmallow in more detail. What is difficult? On izidri marshmallow is the first and main thing. Comfortable pallets with sides.

Sikorka, the height of the pallet in Travolka is 0.5 cm, even, in my opinion, closer than 0.3 cm (I can not measure it exactly), that is, pouring the liquid mass for drying the marshmallow can only be at this height minus another substrate for the marshmallow or you need to invent something building up the sides. I do not like thin pastille, I have too large volumes, yes, and I am lazy just to fool myself by fitting these extended sides.

gawala, did I understand correctly that your L'equip IR-D5 dehydrator has a tray height of 0.9 cm?
In Travolka 0.3-0.5 cm, that is, 2-3 times less. This is inconvenient for me. Perhaps it will suit someone. We are all different, yes, and all flamasters taste and color are different.
Is it a separate tray in the picture of your brown color, or is it such a support for pastilles in your dehydrator?
I have already read the answer in your topic. I tried using a silicone mold for a long time before using baking paper. I didn't like it, because my silicone mold was very flimsy and I immediately spilled a lot of it into the dryer, and it dries much longer in it. One of the options was not just baking paper, but silicone paper, which I also use for baking. I didn't like it either.
I have been drying for a long time, so I tested many different options.

Irsha, Irisha, gawala, Checkmark, thank you very much for your help))) After watching the video, I realized that it was not mine, but I almost ordered it. Girls, but all the same: the power of 300 W is not enough, right? And one more thing: do I understand correctly that the pallets are installed one on top of the other? And to put them, as it were, after one or two, in order to thereby increase the height, will not work, right?

Well, roughly speaking, an adapter is needed. The frame is high.
Svetta
Vika, the power of 300 W is due to the small volume of the dryer. Or vice versa, a small volume provides a small power. Everything will dry, just a little longer. That is, for drying 1 kg of product, your electricity / energy costs will be the same (approximately) both in a large dryer and in a small one.
Small dryers will always have low pallets. Therefore, if you are for gingerbread, then carefully choose the height of the pallets, it can walk a little, but for you it will be important. In different models, the height may be different.
Also look at the CFM, you can buy a good model and inexpensively.

Good evening everyone. I started wanting a dryer. For the marshmallow first of all ... I won't buy an expensive one. And from ,, cheaper ,, ... I don’t know where to start. Maybe I want a rectangular ... Maybe Polaris. Please tell me which manufacturers to start with ... I am from Belarus.

I want a dehydrator dryer for a long time, good. Please advise what to choose. Ezidri, lekip or sedonu. While you are reading, you want both this one and this one and that one else. I would like to finally close this issue. I want to dry marshmallows, apples, mushrooms, dried meat, etc. I would be very grateful to all the advice of experienced users

Everything, decided, paid, we will wait. I bought, after small discussions in the topic about Travolka, a Hendi 229026 dryer. When I arrive, I will try it and I will definitely make a review report for my favorite bread machine.

NatalyTeo, Natasha! I only have Isidri for several years now and I am very happy with it. I dried fruits, made marshmallows, dried mushrooms, candied fruits. Only the meat was not dried. Gawala Checkmark has some kind of cool dryer. Look in her posts or in the topic about Belevskaya marshmallow. She seems to be even cooler than Isidri.

I have Isidri, I can't say anything about the others. L'equir is very fond of the firm. I have a stationary blender of this brand, I can only say good things about it. I am also very pleased with the dryer. You can buy the required number of pallets, it is possible to separately buy nets for berries (you can do it yourself, if you wish), or inserts for marshmallows. Roomy, easy to clean, temperature adjustable. Most of all, the ability to drive for many hours, sometimes more than a day, captivates. Pastila, dried and dried fruits and vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, berries - I did everything, no meat, no fish. As we are not lovers of this. The instructions say that you can. If you prefer it, I advise you to take a newer model, it is larger in diameter and finer temperature settings.
NatalyTeo
time, Victoria, Oroma, Olga, thank you! I decided to buy two over time. While choosing, I spent the money on something else, later I will try to order on eBay, where the price is significantly lower than our online stores

In general, my beauty Hendy arrived for 10 trays, she is HUGE, well, I kind of assumed that she was big, but when she stood on the countertop ... everything is the other way around: with CM kenwood, according to the description, she represented a huge mixer, but he turned out to be on surprise compact. While mine, in the evening still in the idle forest and soon I will begin to dry. As soon as there is at least some opinion about the properties, I will definitely write here, because it may come in handy for someone when choosing a dryer to take into account or want this one too.
