Dryer for vegetables Volter-1000
Dryer Belomo 8360 if anything, maybe you haven't seen these topics yet, will it come in handy?

Good day! Ohhh, these torments of choice. Tell me, with equal volumes of products, will a more powerful one dry in less time than a less powerful one? Power 500 and 250 is the difference in drying time by 2 times? While the goal is meat, tomatoes. no vegetable garden. Thank you in advance for your response.

As long as the goal is meat

That means we need a more powerful one.

More details here Choosing an electric dryer - recommendations, what to look for when buying
kartinka
Hellen, Lenochka, the power of 250 W is not even considered. You need a power of 500W or so 450-550 MINIMUM. I do not have a summer residence and super volumes - but there are preparations, from time to time there are harvests - like this year - there must be sooo many apples. That means they will be cheap and we need to make the most of it. I have a 500 watt rotor diva deluxe dryer - I also took it for a test last year. The meat dries overnight (I put it on at night, but you have to watch it. 5 trays. In principle, there are enough, but at least 3 trays are at least sometimes not enough - when the tomatoes were dried) one inconvenience - it is necessary to periodically change the trays and the main disadvantage - there is no possibility due to its squareness (but it is convenient) to buy pallets for marshmallows from other dryers. I did it last year - on paper rugs - it was all played. Enrages that everything is not so. Now you need to buy another dryer and immediately with these trays. I look white and volter 500 and 1000W, but this does not mean that the difference is 2 times, for 1000W you can buy more and more. trays and for one dryer load not 5, but 10 trays, in a super-low-power 250W what to put? do not waste your money, buy an average power of 500 watts, and buy trays and marshmallow pallets, if necessary, at least something can be dried, except for small things at all.
One loading - the more trays - the better - the more that fish, meat, strawberries, greens can be dried AT THE SAME TIME - smells do not mix and do not transfer. And the counter shakes once. And your time is saved - also in one go.
I do not know whether this is my opinion convinced or not - less than 500 watts in any way.
I would take at least 500 or think about 1000 watts.
Of course, if I took the first dryer now, I would think about isidri, but a square in one helps-dry tea
Hellen
kartinka, Admin, thanks for answers. doubts were dispelled.

a dryer with a lower capacity dries a little longer, but not 2 times.
In general, the drying time no longer depends on the power, but on what you are drying, on the thickness of the cut, on the juiciness of the original product, laid in one layer or in bulk.
I have dryers of different capacities, and I do not bother with drying time = it will dry in any way.
My mom dried for several years in 250 watt Choosing an electric dryer - recommendations, what to look for when buying # 798, I laid everything out in one layer, everything was dried well, the dryer itself is not big, this power is quite enough for it.

If the drying volumes are large, then one dryer will not be enough, or you will need to take 1000 with a maximum of trays.

I have 5 different dryers and all are busy in the fall.
Tatalo4ka
Good day.
Please teach the girls how to correctly measure the temperature on the drier trays?
Something seems to me that my temperature does not give out according to the declared mode.
Thanks to everyone who responds.
Mrs. Addams
I measure with an IKEE temperature probe, the declared temperature is reached only after some time.
The set temperature is simply not exceeded, and the fact that it is less is something I found out empirically. My power is 250 W, so I adapted to set it to the maximum (70 degrees) for a couple of hours, and then, just when T 50-55 degrees is reached, I rearrange the trays and set this temperature, in fact, to maintain.
Tatalo4ka
Mrs. Addams? thank you very much!
Temperature probe - which one with wiring?
Should the core temperature probe be placed directly on the loose fruit tray? after a while to see how much the temperature will be? to do this procedure with all pallets?
I understood correctly.
$ vetLana
Natalia, I also measured with a temperature probe. I have no wire, it is more convenient with a wire
Mrs. Addams
Tatalo4ka, yes, with wiring - I put the probe directly on the pallet with fruit; a thin leash, with it even the pallets stood up normally, and the thermometer itself lay next to it and periodically watched the temperature - the upper pallets were critical to me, but it is possible to do this with all of them.

check with unloaded trays.
Loaded trays hide the temperature very much = the air is cooled against raw food, so at the beginning of drying the heated air flow will not hold 70 * - still raw food will cool it down.
The longer the drying time, the less the difference between the heated air flow and the food placed on the trays.

This is not the first time someone has raised the issue of the alleged lack of temperature in the subject.
Tatalo4ka
Mrs. Addams, $ vetLana , thanks for the info.

Irsha, Ira thanks for the info,
And tell me please, do you keep empty trays on for a long time? with empty hope will quickly catch up with the temperature.
It's just that my instructions say that it is forbidden to operate an electric dryer without loading trays ...
Maybe for a little while?
Admin
Quote: Irsha
check with unloaded trays

This is correct because:
- in any case, you need to give time for the temperature to gain strength and the upper value
- raw vegetables and fruits provide "cooling" of the trays and temperatures on their surface and inside the drying chamber
- the set of temperature will depend on the number of trays loaded, and what the trays are loaded with, different products conduct heat in different ways, are filled with it.
Tatalo4ka
Tanechka, Admin, Thank you.
I do not have a temperature probe yet, but I will buy it urgently.
I will test empty ones, and maybe also filled ones.
Thank you girls!
$ vetLana
I measured with filled trays, but not immediately after switching on, but when the fruit dried up.
Irgata
Quote: Tatalo4ka
Maybe for a little while?
you can, of course, after half an hour the dryer will give you the maximum possible temperature, with a lid.

Honestly, I always wonder why people sometimes bother with adjusting temperatures - well, it will dry out, a set of 60 * is sufficient for drying anything, in Izedri it is max 65 * and everything dries well.
This is if the dryer does not dry and the air is not even warm from it, then you can worry.
Tatalo4ka
Ira, Irsha, I want to test, because I doubt the temperature regime.
Just at the set temperature of 65 degrees (taking into account the decrease in the temperature by 10 degrees when the 6 trays are loaded), it dries the marshmallow for 15 hours, the apricot - 18, the apples really dried up in 8 hours.
I have a dryer with a temperature regime of 0-75 degrees. So I want to find out how much more I should set the temperature initially in order to reach the required temperature during the drying process.
Irgata
Natalia, I have a Hungarian plum, for example, in comparison with apricots, laid very tightly on trays, pitted, in halves, dries up in a day, I dry, I do not wither. And I load the dryer to the maximum. And I always set the maximum temperature.
And the time for each batch of plums differs a little - I take 10 kg in boxes - and plums of different ripeness, and of different sizes, and "outside" the dryer, different temperatures and humidity in the room, so I don't think = I spread the plum or something else and I clean it when ready.
Tatalo4ka
Ira, well, you reassured me, you can really not bother, dry and let it dry, an hour more, an hour less, the main thing is the result.
We now have short-term rains every day, maybe the humidity affects? the dryer is on the balcony, all windows are open, and the ventilation is good.
And at what temperature is it recommended to dry the fruit? Or is it also a trial method?
I read the topic in full, but in my head now everything is a cycle.
Now I mainly dry pastille, dry it at 55 degrees (400 ml per pallet) as they wrote on the forum. For girls it dries up in 6-7 hours, and for me it dries for 15 hours. So the question arose.

Thank you very much for your recommendations and advice.
Admin
Tatalo4ka
Thank you, Tanya.
I read all topics + comments.
I jumped from topic to topic (everything goes around in my head).
Now I decided to save the recommendations and advice that I needed in a Word file so that they were at hand.
I'm still new to drying.
Admin
There is nothing complicated in drying - "take a shovel, throw it on"
And practice and experience will tell you what to do and how best, because in any case, fruits and vegetables in different regions are also different, and you will have to adapt to them more.
Tatalo4ka
Tanya has already thrown another game, I will not bother. In fact, I will already regulate the quality and taste.
Thank you girls to everyone, everyone who responded !!!!!

And my sadness happened. A week ago I bought a dryer GALAXY GL2631. I bought one in the store from the presence of one that was with temperature control and did not have to wait for delivery. Put the cherries to dry, 2 trays. After 6 hours, the berry was fresh. I set the temperature to 50. In short, the situation was long, I decided to measure the temperature. At the set 50, it actually gives out 36-38 degrees, and the maximum instead of 70 is no more than 51 degrees. I dried 5 pallets of vegetables for a soup dressing for more than a day. Now I think what to do. Return to the store or continue drying for days? It's a shame that I got so burned. I have always tried to buy small household appliances not very expensively, since I do not use them regularly. And so ... Always something happens the first time.
We have very hot weather, I thought today I’ll try to dry the tomatoes. I changed my mind. On the roof of the car I spread a cold and laid out the halves of the tomatoes, now it's 16 o'clock and the small ones have already dried up well, and those that are larger will reach tomorrow.

Not all dryers are designed for a large amount of products, it is possible that a person does not need a bulky dryer, and 350 W is a completely normal power. The fan is spinning, the ten heats the air at any power.

Volume, l 12 - 350 W is enough for this small volume, for example, in 5-tray Rotor 20 l and power 520.

Irsha, Irish, I wrote about "what to expect from her" that the hostess should know these subtleties when choosing and buying, if she chose this particular dryer and not expect more from it than the dryer is capable of.

Ilmira, yeah. So I clarified about the volume
and gave a real example with another even less powerful dryer.
It is necessary to look at all the parameters when buying.

Girls, but I still bought a dryer, which I asked about
Choosing an electric dryer - recommendations, what to look for when buying # 670
For the first time, the appearance outweighed the technical characteristics. Therefore, I had fun with the temperature probe, since the power is 250. But so far I do not regret it. I didn't put all 5 pallets, I manage with less, so sometimes apples dry ...

And for now I am slowly getting around with the rotor, although the pastilles are drying - at night (12 hours), and the trays I have are adapted plates, although the pastilles are tasty, but the drying of the apple outweighs the volume, although the toad raises its head and sighs that there are few trays and work around the clock, although the second toad whispers - that's the end of apples and that's it. ...

And after the recommendations I bought Belomo. I'm happy so far. I made carpaccio, dried zucchini, dried tea, waiting for apples and tomatoes when they come. Thanks to everyone who writes their reviews.

Good evening! Take girls into your company, became the owner of the Volter-1000 + dryer. My husband bought it back in March, I'm not overjoyed)) I highly recommend it. We have already purchased additional pallets. Only 15 pieces. It works now almost without interruption. We dry everything, vegetables, fruits, meat. Tomatoes dried a bucket)) such awesome chips turned out. I'm already eating them up, they won't live to see winter))

Hello everyone! Dryer Belomo and Sukhovey M (8 pallets). I choose from these, I cannot decide. Which one is quieter in noise? Some are the same. She lived in the North and did not have the skills to make jams, pickles in jars. And now there is a garden and apples, pears, plums, everything is falling. A dryer is urgently needed. These dryers are in Internet stores. And nearby sell Veterok 2, Rotor SSh-002 and Dachnitsa SSh-006. I haven’t looked at these yet, I don’t know anything. Something I was a little confused.

I completely forgot, we need a fireproof dryer, we live in an old house.
kartinka
madames, I have a rotor diva deluxe working in the kitchen, you can't hear it in the room, 5 high pallets, I like the plastic. I do not like that there are no special pallets for marshmallow-adapted plates, but I plan to buy 1000 volters or izidri. I would have known, I would have taken the necessary and additions right away. Although the rotor is working hard - last season -30kg only sun-dried tomatoes
Ilmirushka
Elena S, I am the owner and user of the Travola 9 pallet dryer cabinet. It suits me 100% in terms of the quietness of the work, and in terms of power, and the number of pallets and externally. If you are interested, then we have a separate topic about Gravolki. But I do not live in my house and I have no garden, no apples, no pears to wallow. If you need a dryer for a large amount and fireproof for your home, I would choose a metal Dachnik-4. I also read about it on our forum, perhaps this model has more varieties, I don't know the details. Here she is the second:

Girls! Thanks for the advice. I'll see these. I don't need a big one. Only to work quietly and dry the marshmallows, pears, apples, herbs.

madames, I have 3 dryers in stock: Grass machine for 9 pallets, Dachnitsa 4M (not to be confused with DachnitsaSSh006 is a completely different dryer), DivaLux.
I appreciate each, naturally in my opinion. A lady grasswalker, quiet, delicate, dries everything from meat, fish, mushrooms, fruits, and so on. Of the minuses in it, it is difficult to dry the marshmallow, or to make it very thin, or to invent some kind of adaptations.
The summer resident is a quiet hard worker, she has been drying for 10 years, without turning off all summer, I load fruits in bulk to the entire height of the pallet, without laying them out in one layer. Cons in it you cannot dry fish and damp meat.
Diva Lux is out of order when marshmallow was spilled on her. Now it is plowing again (they repaired it themselves), but the temperature switch is out of order, it holds somewhere around 50-60 *, but the fruit dries normally. She is also 10 years old and she also works all summer without interruption.
I summarize for my dryers: what you need to look for when buying a dryer.
1. I would not take a dryer with a capacity of less than 500 watts, and the more the better.
2. I consider it a big disadvantage if the fan and other wisdom are installed below. There is a risk of pouring marshmallow or just very juicy fruit over the heaters and the fan. So now I periodically once a week unwind the metal casing that protects the fan and heater in Diva. No matter how carefully you handle it, carbon deposits appear. The best option if the heater and fan are located at the back or, in extreme cases, at the top.
I hope it helped in something. Good luck.

The last time I made a fruit marshmallow, a plum with chocolate. The first pallet was the thinnest, the last one was the thickest. Well, conditionally, of course, thick. If 4 ladles of the mass were poured into the first pallet, then in the last six months. And it dried longer and did not completely dry out, as we would like. I still roll it up and cut it into kegs.
But I ordered silicone pallets, I don't know why, but I bought them, I'm waiting ..
