So I like the quality of the MV Dex cup so much that others simply cannot be compared. : cray: And I really want this to Saturn. But from SCV Dex, as I understand it, it is an order of magnitude better than from SCV Saturn dear, right?
Somewhere before I took off a photo of a bowl used for a year and a new one, there is practically no difference.
Here Dex pressure cooker DPC-40

Girls, hello!
I've been reading you for a long time, so I decided to ask you a question!
I have a Dexik since February-March, approximately, I'm very happy with it. But neither biscuits nor casseroles I get in it (((
From the last horror, this is what happened to the biscuit

Dex pressure cooker DPC-40

And also my omelet began to stick to the center (it did not grease it with anything), although it had not adhered before. It's all? Caput in a saucepan?
Natalia K.
pandorray there is no function in SV bakery products... And the fact that the girls bake in it is called dancing with a tambourine. But this is mine IMHO
Lozja
Although the biscuit should be obtained according to the idea. Just not as airy as in MV. But it turns out. Did you use the same recipe to bake this biscuit somewhere else? To understand, the problem is in the recipe and in the technology, or in the CB.
SilverCat
maybe you get it ahead of time? If the oven is without pressure, then it takes longer for me than in the oven. I baked chocolate in boiling water - 60 minutes according to the recipe, it turned out to be a bit too much, maybe less, but in the usual half an hour nothing would be baked.

Girls, I bake charlotte in SV. And I like it even more than in CF, for some reason it turns out fluffier and faster in time.

Especially. Charlotte is the same biscuit, only with apples, which complicates the task. So that, pandorray, prick, write to us, how you prepared the biscuit, step by step.
Lozja

True, I always add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to charlotte, but I also put apples to the maximum

Duc is just a biscuit and a charlotte perfectly do without baking powder. That is, if there is any other dough with baking powder and it is bad, then there may be such a result as in the photo. But the biscuit fits without any baking powder, if the dough is done correctly.
Therefore, details are needed to understand.

Yul, in SV, the biscuit in the charlotte is low, compared to the biscuit in MV.

Girls, I don't know how to ask. Ordered this pressure cooker with another friend as a gift + blender-chopper-mixer. I know this blender very well - it is super, but with the pressure cooker I was just worn out. I wanted to go to the firm to pick it up myself, but my friend persuaded them to deliver it, she would see everything. Now she calls me and according to her story it turns out that the saucepan is almost the size of a bucket! I'm shocked! : girl_cray1: Is it really so bulky? We wanted to make life easier for my friend so that she could eat healthy food, but I'm afraid she might be disappointed! Girls, what do you say?
pandorray
I realized my mistake.
I took the recipe from the Brand book

Biscuit
Ingredients: eggs 4-5 pcs., Flour 1 tbsp., Sugar 1 tbsp.
Beat eggs with a mixer until well foam. Gradually add 1 glass of sugar while whisking. When the mass becomes thick and homogeneous, gradually add flour, gently stirring the dough with a spoon. Bake in a greased bowl on BAKE mode

But somewhere else I read that I need to set 20 minutes, and 30 for heating. Apparently he just simply did not bake!
Girls, and write who thread step by step recipe for the simplest biscuit! And then I'm such a cook ... I'm just learning how to bake.

I would not say that it looks like a bucket. As for me, it is very compact ... Certainly smaller than my usual 4 liter saucepan.

it occupies about 30 cm of the working surface. And about the same height.
Don't worry - this is a very good pressure cooker. Take her here, let her read the topic and start cooking - all doubts will disappear in a moment

Albinochka, Sonya and Julia, thanks for the answer, girls! You are right, I also love DEX, but I looked at the size of the pressure cooker, it seemed to me big, and only my friend saw it alive. As for the gift, the question disappeared - they hinted to a friend carefully, so she categorically refused. True, we did not take her to her, my friend immediately beat her daughter. Here we will try, maybe we will buy ourselves.

Hello girls and boys! Take the happy owner of multi Dex-60 into your ranks.
I have a question for you: what is impossible to cook in a pressure cooker? I saw the Dex-40 pressure cooker and I'm tormented: how useful is this thing in the kitchen?
Vinnitsa
Quote: Julia V

A very useful thing. My 60 is idle more and more
Thanks for the quick response! is it convenient with a timer for 30 minutes? I just can't decide between Dex-40 and Scarlett-1529. In the latter, the ability to adjust the time in modes up to 90 minutes, electronics, captivates.

Everyday meals (soups, cereals, etc.) are usually cooked in less than 30 minutes. You don't make jellied meat and stew every day. Wanted-screwed, wanted-unscrewed I trust Dex more than Scarlett. And pots - the coating is better. Look at Saturn even there for a longer time, you can put it, but the cover of the pan is worse.
Today I saw a Redmond pressure cooker (though I didn't remember the model), the seller opened the lid, saying that the bowl was just super, and there was already a little teflon ripped off

Now I cook everything in a pressure cooker. In a cartoon, only yogurt is rare. Or when there is meat in SV, then I put porridge in MV. But basically I make meat or stew in the SV in advance, and then different cereals every day, potatoes or pasta. To cook potatoes in St. is just a song, put potatoes, 150 grams of water and salt, and the pressure will pick up and go down faster.
Everyone to whom I advised St. did not disappoint and cook more in her.
It is good to boil milk in St., and milk porridge will not run away. And the cooking speed, and 1 liter more

And how much milk porridge is being prepared?
I still can't figure out: in Dex, beans are given 30 minutes, and in Redmond - 90. Do beans have time to cook in 30 minutes?

Julia V milk does not burn? I’m not crazy to try milk porridge in SV. Once I made potatoes in milk, it was very fried from below
Julia V
The pea porridge has time, that's for sure. Beans, depending on which one you run into. Sometimes it will boil down in 30 minutes, and sometimes it will be oak. I also cook pea soup for 30 minutes. I won't say exactly about milk porridge, because only a small cub eats it in our family, I cook it for 2 times in a milk cooker. But I think 15-20 minutes will be enough for cereals.

I make baked milk for 30 minutes - it does not burn (but it seems like there is a plaque at the bottom, it still depends on the freshness of the milk), but somehow I did it 2 times for 30 minutes and it was too baked
Julia V

And it turns out delicious?
Very much, especially with cracklings and fried onions. Only that month I discovered this dish for myself, having read a branch of Saturn, I had never cooked this before. (But who, sorry, has a weak intestine, then be careful)

that is, as I understand it, if you need to fry something for the dish, then you can do it with the lid open, as in the cartoon, and then add the rest of the ingredients (peas and water), close the lid, set the time and wait, licking your lips?

Yeah, but I fry the onion and take it out, and put it in porridge after cooking so that it doesn't get overcooked.

and another question afterwards: is borscht delicious in a pressure cooker? rich? in MV as it turns out from the stove. somewhere on the forum it was mentioned that borscht from CB was losing color.
Julia V
Now I cook borscht in ready-made broth for 4-5 minutes, then normal. I cut potatoes in such borscht on a Berner with an insert of 3.5 mm, so that it has time to cook. Or you can cook potatoes when you cook meat broth.

for me it is dancing with tambourines (I mean broth prepared in advance). in MV I do frying (onion, ground in a blender, carrots, Bulgarian pepper, tomato, tomato paste, sour cream), then I put all the other products (potatoes, cabbage, beets, salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar, garlic, meat, water) and stew for 2 hours. That is, everything is cooked in a cartoon, no broths on the stove. in SV, you also want to cook so that you don't mess around with broth.

He is the laconic in design, the easiest to operate and my greatest assistant.

the only negative is the timer for only 30 minutes, but this, as already mentioned above, is not critical.

because I got SV first - I got used to cooking EVERYTHING in it and with the purchase of a multicooker (two) I still remained a fan of pressure cookers.
In a slow cooker I cook yogurt, jellied meat (they get more transparent) baked goods, sometimes I fry and, perhaps, that's all
Everything else I like to cook in a pressure cooker.
Maybe I'm just biased towards multicooker))

I'll buy a cartoon with a multi-cook, maybe I'll change my mind, but for now I cook three quarters of the dishes in the pressure cooker.
Vinnitsa

I have a complete set in the kitchen and now I am in no hurry to choose. I will wait for a model that will combine all my wishes
Vinnitsa
So I, probably, will be with you Already, and my husband believes that SV is simply necessary for us (convinced him). Yesterday I even sat down to read this forum, after which I firmly said "Yes!" In 2 weeks wedding anniversary, I'm waiting for a gift!

Dex. Scarlett stinks for the first 2 weeks, + they have defective batches - sometimes the display does not light up in places, then she gives an error from overheating. And the dex is of high quality and reliable. It will never overheat, because of the total cooking time, it actively uses electricity, in my opinion, 15% of the time. That is, it gains operating pressure and temperature, and then only maintains it. The Germans calculated that in this way the electricity savings come out oh-so.

Thank you! After reading the forum, I am more and more inclined to Dex. I have MV Dex-60, I am satisfied in all respects. And when choosing SV, the time in Dex was embarrassing up to 30 minutes. For comparison: the other day I saw SV Redmond, there they take 90 minutes for legumes, so can Dex cook legumes in 30 minutes? And in general, I'm used to setting the time on the touch panel so that the display is (microwave, MB). And here is just a toggle switch ...

Yesterday I bought normal beans and cooked them in half an hour, even the beans burst and melted in my mouth. So the main thing is to buy normal beans.
