How much money do you plan to spend on a bread maker and accessories?
And where do you live and will you buy?

I live in Azerbaijan, I will buy either in the Music Gallery store or there is a small but reliable store not far from my work.

Our prices are approximately:

Kenwood 450 - 240 dollars

Panasonic 2502 - $ 280

For me, the $ 40 difference is not that important.

I didn't think about accessories. What accessories do you need? I have an electronic scale.

Thank you.

Panasonic 2502 - $ 280
...

You can take any of the presented assortment,
here the difference is small -
Panasonic has a slightly better and quieter mechanics with a bucket, it is not programmable and, accordingly, sometimes requires an external alarm clock for dancing when baking rye or sourdough bread,
and for that Kenwood 450 is more flexible in settings for such recipes.
Both stoves are reliable and do their job well.
From Panasonic, you can also pay attention to the 2501 model, without a yeast dispenser, since there are many comments on it due to a loud and sharp click when the yeast is triggered (added).

Vania, I am yours forever! (from)
Help with choosing a bread maker

I fully support. The only other minus in Kenwood I can say is that there are reports that its glass lid may break. And plus Panasonic - it itself works very quietly.

Yes, adulichka, keep in mind that 99.9% of bread maker owners "suffer" without a yeast dispenser. So, if there is no pronounced curvature of the hands and strict requirements for the presence of a stainless steel design, then among Panasonic the 2501 model is the best choice.
Rita
adulichka,
As the owner of the Kenwood 450, I would recommend Panasonic. Kenwood is awfully noisy! The first bucket started to leak - a problem many owners had. Now they began to do a better gasket, like. Panasonic's bucket is just great! The bread in it turns out to be much fluffier and the top crust is baked, unlike Kenwood.
But keep in mind that I do not bake any rye or sourdough bread. I don't use programming. I am one of those lazy people who only presses the START button.

Well, it seems, in Panasonic, even when you bake pure bread, it tastes like a roll. and the crust is never firm.
I sort of read that mixing shakes causes a problem in Kenwood? Like, due to the fact that Panasonic has a separate compartment for tremors, there are no problems with kneading, but in Kenwood there is.

And did someone say that bread tastes better in Panasonic?

I know I tortured you, but somehow I hope to buy a bread maker for a few years of ministry. so that I'm afraid to make a mistake in my choice.

Thank you.
not tortured, but ask quite normal questions.

If these "sellers" once again tell you about a roll from Panasonic - ask them to put Kenwood and Panasonic next to them, lay the SAME set of products and bake bread. And then taste it. I have received several real compliments in my life about what I have prepared. And one of them is the words of my mother-in-law "Your bread reminded me of bread from such and such a bakery that I ate when I was twenty years old. It's real!" It was bread made from the most simple products (1st grade gray wheat flour, pressed yeast, water, salt and butter), baked in Panasonic

Regarding the dispenser for yeast and non-mixes with yeast - I answered above. This is how we - 99.9% of bakers - suffer without a yeast dispenser! What a horror!

If for several years, then this is still a Panasonic - it has the least number of breakdowns and problems during the period of operation. I have a 255, purchased over four years ago. The repair was required once (it was done by my husband on his own using an inexpensive part - again THANK YOU to our forum craftsmen for a timely consultation). And the stirrer was also required to be replaced. But in general, my Panasonic is not going to retire yet.
Rita
My friend has Panasonic, so I tried bread, more precisely, a roll, from both bread machines. From Panasonic, definitely tastier.
Vanya28
They praised Panasonic, Bolivar will not stand so much!

As for the taste in it, I suppose the question should be left open,
but my friend Panasonic is a little shabby (quite a bit), the mixer is no longer at all.
The bucket leaks quite imperceptibly, but the truth does not interfere. To do this, in a clever way, you have to turn the mixer against jamming one turn, immediately after the end of baking and shaking out the bread, but this is not difficult.
He is baking a dozen already, almost every day, we hope that he will work as much more!

Good afternoon, comrades, old-timers and experts!
Help me please. We were puzzled by the purchase of a bread machine, my dad asks very much, and my mother and I decided to give him a birthday present. I searched the entire Internet - a lot of questions arose ...
Is it possible to bake rye bread in an oven without the "Rye Bread" function?
They praise Panasonic stoves very much, especially 255 ... But we do not have such stoves in our city, at least I didn’t find, but it’s somehow scary to buy via the Internet ... still a complicated mechanism ... There are 2500, 2501, in what are the differences?
And, to be honest, Panasonic is expensive ... Maybe you can advise something cheaper, but not bad either?

We will advise now!
You can see how to cook rye bread in different HPs here -
Rye custard bread is real (almost forgotten taste). Baking methods and additives.
Of the Panasonic, 2500 and 2501 models are of real interest, with smaller numbers discontinued. The difference between them is insignificant and consists mainly in the presence of a dispenser - a mechanism for automatically adding nuts, etc. to the dough in the 2501 model.
For a cheaper idea, see also Kenwood 450 and Brand 3801.
Questions will be added - write, ask.

In my humble opinion, I advise you to take a closer look at Moulinex OW 5024. In the citylink, this bread maker costs 5890, and they also give a steam station:
I have almost the same stove, for the third year already, we rarely buy bread. For Rye Bread, read the topic:

https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/in...ion=com_smf&topic=16786.0

Don't think of it as self-promotion, but the bread is really delicious.

If the family is large - definitely Moulinex. Bread yield up to 1500 gr., I.e. a large loaf. Interestingly, it really turns out to be a loaf, like in a store, only more.

My sister took one for this action. But we had it until September 1. Apparently, in different regions in different ways. And besides, this is not the cheapest stove, albeit a large one. By the way, I have Supra 350 from the same citylink, but for 2500. It suits me perfectly, rye bread bakes well on two programs. Compared with my sister - no difference was noticed (mine is also 1.5 kg). And her baguette case miraculously took root in my HP, as if it was necessary. So, if there is not a lot of money, then why not try something like that. Use it for a couple of years, get used to it, and then buy something more expensive, taking into account real requirements.

I rummaged through the sites of our "techno-monsters" like Eldorado, Technosila and others like them ... Brand, nowhere even smells like, Kenwood 450 is in some places more expensive than Panasonic 2500, there are very cheap ones like Scarlett and Vitek, but they don't inspire something to me trust though ...
In general, I realized that I had to go shopping and feel ... (I always buy the technique that I liked "by touch", and I take that)
At the expense of rye bread, I realized that the function, in general, is not necessary ... One less headache
I went on to read the forum ...

We're not rich enough to buy cheap stuff! Take Moulinex, I recommend. And in a baguette holder I bake buns with sausage for the children. 4 at a time and very tasty, especially if sprinkled with sesame seeds on top!

I also replaced the first bucket under warranty - there were rubber protective cuffs at the bottom, they were torn and therefore leaked. Under the guarantee, they were given with fluoroplastic cuffs and I don't have any more problems with the bucket. As I understand it, Moulinex takes into account its mistakes and corrects it in time.

And about dried buns - I don't know, I get fluffy and crispy. And even with a sausage inside.
Rina
Let the users of Mulinex throw slippers at me, but out of the four stoves with which I somehow had to come into contact, one survived the first year without breakdowns.

Panasonic 255 and we will praise, but you will not see them on sale anymore - models 254/256 and 255/257 were replaced by 2500 and 2501/2502, respectively.
The differences between the 2500 and 2501 are the presence of a dispenser for additives in the 2501 model (it is important for those who cannot track the sound signal of the bread machine; in the 2500 model, additives are added manually by a sound signal), a mode and scoops for rye bread. And although I always recommend 2501 as the best option (it is better to overpay for functions that you will not use, than later regret that you "saved" on them), for older people I can safely advise 2500.

And Panasonic has long ceased to be the most expensive bread makers in our markets. If there is a financial opportunity to purchase a Panasonic 2500 or 2501 at Internet prices, you can safely buy online. The main thing is to make sure that the carrier is decent and the packaging is intact.

For example, write a recipe.
Lo and behold, the usual HP will do.

Rina: No rush to bake. It's just better if the baking is faster) In principle, the metal case is also not critical, if there are options for good bread makers - I will consider everything

Vanya28: well, it's just that sometimes in the descriptions for bread makers they write like this: batter, thick dough. This means that you can knead for dumplings, for example ...

P.S. Of course, the usual one will do, the main thing is that it is of high quality ...
Rina
Panasonic 2501. Kneads dough for dumplings, works quietly, minimal breakages

The choice is correct!
What to buy for baking?
Flour, yeast, salt, sugar and water !!!

Yes, and also choose any recipe here, and achieve an excellent result on it!
Rina
Bee, we go to our profile topic HERE, we read the first post of the topic, we follow the links, we calmly master everything.
1. Start with plain white wheat bread on the main program.
2. We are not nervous if the stove is "silent" - this is the norm for Panasonic.

strecoza
Good afternoon, thanks to your forum, our family has become the owner of a bread machine. Our choice was in favor of Panasonic 2501. The second week we bake bread, I just noticed that the bread does not lie for more than 3 days, first there is a smell of yeast, then the smell of lost bread, I bake with pressed yeast. Tell me is it okay? It's just that we are used to the fact that our store bread does not spoil during the week, I bake a small loaf of 400 grams. torment, but for us this is much. In general, the question is, how long does the bread last?
Rina
strecoza, is stored in different ways. Depends on the quality of the yeast, on the quality of the flour (first of all), on humidity, on ... I can have bread for a week and not spoil.

What can I advise (although, we are on a different topic).
1. If the yeast is of high quality and you use more than 1.5 g per 100 grams of flour, reduce the amount of yeast (down to 1.2, or even 1 gram per 100 grams of flour).
2. It is possible that your store bread is baked either using preservatives, or according to the old GOST technology. Then I can advise you spit method (I just use it and brought it up several times in the topic on Panasonic: knead, say, half the flour, water and all the yeast on the "pizza", after 10-15 minutes reset the program, add the rest of the ingredients, set the main program, you can even delay of up to several hours), or use leaven (we also have a corresponding section). In general, baked bread needs to be given the right acidity.
sazalexter
strecoza 5-6 days can be stored without problems! Change the flour, it is clearly your "sick" with a potato stick!
Taia
In our stores, they sell such bread, the next day it already begins to smell of yeast and begins to sour from the core, deteriorate. Therefore, I bought a bakery home. My bread can stand for 5-6 days without changing any qualities. I bake on Makfa, we have the best flour in terms of quality.

I have already changed the flour, let's see the result, although I used a very good brand

even a good brand does not guarantee that the flour is healthy. Already at the second proven manufacturer I get low quality (both in the first case and in the second I have been working with their products for many months)

Well, at least with these parameters there is now a cheaper Bork x800, there are also Zojirushi Breadmaker BB-CEC20 and Moulinex RZ-710100 at the same price.

Maybe even Panasonic will finally be able to stand in a row of programmable HPs.
Lord 68
Hello everyone. I have been digging on the forum for two weeks, but I registered only today. For myself, I concluded that the more you try to delve into the topic, the more questions arise, besides, in baking I am a complete layman, although I bake more often than my wife, but only from ready-made store dough. Recently, the quality of the dough has ceased to suit me, and I myself cannot knead (as soon as I read the recipe, I am terribly depressed), so I decided to buy myself a bread maker and at the same time a multicooker-pressure cooker. Most of all I liked the models LG 2001BY and Panasonic 2501. Panasonic is on sale in our Tambov above 8000, lji in the company store 5800, on the Internet Panas is approximately comparable in price with lji, but I have never bought over the Internet. Help with the choice? Yes, the reviews on your forum about lji seem to be positive.
Rina
Lord 68If online stores are decent and without negative reviews, then feel free to take Panasonic. It would be nice if you took the stove away from such a store, then you can check it right away. The verification algorithm is in the subject Features of the Panasonic bread machine
If the shipment is carried out by a courier to your home or by a courier service, then the main thing is that the stove is delivered to you in its original factory unopened packaging and the warranty documents are filled out correctly. It is already cold, so it will be difficult to check the stove's performance upon delivery home, that is, immediately after the "street". But in Panasonic, the marriage, which is revealed at the first turn-on, happens very rarely. Anyway, marriage is rare.
Lord 68
Thanks Rina. Unfortunately, self-delivery will not work (well, unless you rush to Moscow yourself for 500 km), by mail and transport companies I read a lot of negative reviews about the fact that they almost play football with a load, and the price for delivery bites, almost store to buy. Yes, I forgot to ask, one owner of the bread machine advised me to clarify how the bucket is attached, otherwise in his model it dances along with the bread machine. He has a model for mine Kenwood, although I can lie because I already have a mess in my head from the abundance of information in my head, but I definitely remember that someone wrote about the same shortcomings in some models. And what about this in Lji and Panasonic?
Rina
I won't say it at LG.

And in Panasonic, the mount, which seems to be called bayonet mount. In general, no clicks, no separate stops, fastening under the shape's own weight (by the way, in Panasonic the bucket is noticeably heavier compared to other brands) - they put it at a slight angle, turned it and it stands perfectly for itself, it doesn't fly anywhere.

I could not even imagine that it could be otherwise. But it turned out ...

I already wrote - I have a second HP Yunold, so there is such a mount that you can't leave the stove unattended. The bucket must be positioned correctly, turned clearly with good effort (due to my efforts, the bucket has already bent a little), and drive the bucket into the grooves. At the same time, the bucket at the start of the kneading strives to fly off these grooves, then the "dad-mom" of the engine and the mixer shaft begin to beat each other, of course, no kneading.

And what, no one goes to Moscow at all? Maybe there are friends and acquaintances in Moscow who, at least with a guide, sent the box?
Lord 68
I have a sister in Moscow. For the new year he always comes to me, but wait so long .... you can burn out. Today I quickly drove through the shops Panasonic is on sale, the price is from 8300 to 6200. One moment is embarrassing.I began to read the instructions for Lji and Panasonic and realized that Panas just really don't understand the recipes (flour, butter, eggs, yeast, I know all this, and the rest for me is Chinese), in Lji everything is much clearer, in particular, about rye bread, how to make sourdough and the bread itself. And I understood from the forum that Panasonic demands a more respectful attitude towards itself in the process of making bread.
Rina
just the opposite - Panasonic forgives quite a few "flaws" in comparison with some other (not e-ji) stoves. In the book of Panasonic, there is one recipe dubious in proportions. Some other ovens have recipe books that don't hold up. As for the recipes, everything is simple - since you are on this forum, use the local proven recipes.

Why are these two better than 2502 ???
Better for the price. And in terms of quality and functions, they are almost the same. There is only a difference in dispensers.
Raven
But is there a dispenser in 2501, or is it not the same as in 2502? And which one is better from LG? Are they not all from Korea? And here's how to find out where the stove itself is from? And once I read that it is even indicated on them, for Russia they or others are intended, what does it matter?
Rina
for models 2501 and 2502 the ADDITIVES dispensers are the same. The 2502 model has a yeast dispenser - a lotion is not particularly necessary, 99% of bakers live and bake bread without it. Here HERE (mouse click) read
Raven
Got it about the dispenser. About what people it is intended for, how to determine, it seems that Vanya 28 warned about this, and in general what does it mean?
Raven
And what about the fact that some shops offer much cheaper Panasa? Here Online trade offers cheap, it is written - only the official technique. Interestingly, he gives an official manufacturer's warranty for 2 years on Klatronic equipment, I have not seen this at other stores (in the sense of Klatronic). Klatronic stoves have been tempting me for a long time, they are so cheap and have a 2-year warranty, I thought it would be better to take this one to learn, after 2 years it’s not a pity to throw it away. But I did not find any reviews of what kind of buckets they have, what kind of lock and covering. And isn't this a knee-jerk build?
sazalexter
Klatronic, pure China.
